How To Put Long Hair In Overnight Curlers : Hair Styling Tricks

Hi I'm T Cooper, I'm a New York City, makeup artist, hair stylist and I'm also co-founder a beauty and grooming company Messer. Look today we're gon na talk about how to put your hair in overnight curlers. Personally, I never recommend that anybody put actual curlers in their hair before they go to bed, because it's unrealistic to sleep that way. Curlers in your hair, you're tossing your turn in they're gon na fall out. It just doesn't work, so I'm gon na show you an alternative to curlers we're still gon na curl. Your hair and you'll still be able to call it sleep, but you're, not gon na. Have these big soup can structures in your head? So for this look, you're gon na need some good old-fashioned hairspray. Now I'm a hairspray junkie, some duckbill clips a lot less cumbersome than rollers and a curling iron for this. I'M gon na use a one-inch, but whatever size curl you like it's totally up to you. So the first thing I'm gon na do is section off the hair that I want to curl, I'm gon na comb through it just to make sure we get all the tangles out of the hair. Personally, I like to spray before and after a curl, because I think it gives the hair some memory, so I'm gon na give it a light spray comb the product through so that it distributes evenly. You always want to make sure you get brushable hairspray, nothing! That'S freezing or too hard because then, as soon as you put a curling iron to it, your hair is gon na turn really crunchy, and nobody wants that. So then we're gon na slide the hair down we're gon na wrap it up. We'Re gon na hold it for a few seconds until the hair gets hot, it doesn't need to get extremely hot but needs to get somewhat hot so that you'd create a curl. Then slide the curling iron off. You grab one of your duckbill clips. You wrap the curl around your fingers and then you roll it back up into the curl shape and if anything drops out, it happens, especially when your hair is cut into layers, anything that falls out just roll it right back up into place. It'Ll be fine. Trust me, you can take the clip and you slide it right in there and then I like to spray again after just to reinforce so then what you would do is you would repeat that process throughout your entire head. Then you have hair that you can actually sleep on at night. That'S not cumbersome and really awkward and difficult to sleep in and you'll have gorgeous curls in the morning.
