Thanks so much for watching…. and don’t forget to give this video a THUMBS UP!

Kisses,

Sarah

I'M just gon na be in the mirror, the rest of the afternoon, posing with my big goddess hair and i feel like i want to audition to be like a dallas cowboy cheerleader, now yeah hello, starlets, i'm sarah from everyday starlet. Welcome to my channel, i'm here to inspire you to be the best version of yourself and live your dreams. So if you want to be in everyday style sure you hit that subscribe button today we're going to do some hair uh. Today'S video is actually sponsored by verb, which is one of my favorite hair care brands, and i'm super excited that they wanted to team up with me for this video i'm actually gon na get into a little bit more details of that uh. While i'm styling my hair, because i think setting my hair is gon na take a little while so i'll try to chat and style at the same time, all right, so i'm gon na start out uh setting my hair doing some curls. I actually don't even know if you're gon na be able to see all of it on camera. Um, we'll uh, we'll see i'll try to chat with you. While i'm doing this, it's been a while, since i've actually done my hair. So i don't know if i'm gon na be uh as good at uh styling, my hair and talking at the same time, but i figured why not right, if you guys can see how, like epic, my hair is so long now and i actually hadn't. I had not been styling it for so long, so i actually went to curl it the other day, because i wanted to style it for like a 30 second reel on instagram, and i spent like three hours doing my makeup and styling my hair for that, because I'M crazy but yeah. I i realized how long my hair's gone like oh wow, my hair has gotten really long, i'm just clipping it in place, so i started off this style uh. I washed my hair yesterday and then i worked out so yeah and i actually used the verb, ghost shampoo and conditioner and their hydrating mask um. I actually use the mask every time. I actually use the verb ghost shampoo. Then i use a hydrating mask and then i use the ghost conditioner on top of it and that actually, that part is actually not sponsored. That is literally what i use, which is why i was so excited when verb reached out and wanted to sponsor with me, because i actually used their products every day, um and then, after that, i used a the virg leave-in conditioner as well like leave-in conditioner mist. I think it's called i'm actually going to get a little bit more into the technique of how i curl my hair and give you a few tips, even though my way is probably not the right way um, but i am trained professionally, even though some of you Might be like what is she doing? Um i'll show you a little bit more about how i'm doing this on the side, because you'll see me more on camera. I wanted to film in here because the lighting's better than my bathroom, but it's harder to get you guys to see everything so so yeah. Those are the verb products that i actually they didn't send them to me. They'Re, not paying me to mention them they're. Just what i actually use the verb uh products, particularly the shampoo hydrating, mask and conditioner changed my hair like when i tell you it changed my hair. It changed my hair um before i started using them before. I discovered them um, which they were actually introduced to me by my amazing hairdresser. Katrina, love her hey girl and he she recommended them to me. My hair had been like breaking off. Like i don't know. If this, i might even be able to find pictures um, but i think i did a pretty good job of hiding them. My hair had like a line of breakage like all long. It was like the weirdest thing, not totally sure how that happened. Um, i have a few theories as to some of the products that i was using and stuff, but um that weren't bad products they just weren't right for my hair and um yeah. So i had to kind of grow out that breakage, which i'm luckily it has, but since i switched to the verb products like it's been night and day, and i'm convinced that that's part of the reason that it saved my hair verb saves people. It really does yeah, they ended up sending me a few new products that i am going to share with you after i set my hair. I used to set my hair no lie like in old hollywood waves. Every single day like i would get up. That would be part of my routine and since i've been in quarantine, i don't do that and my hair has gotten so long that i actually yeah like i said i went to curl the other day and i was exhausted, like my arms were like, i can't Reach this is ridiculous, so yeah, i'm gon na, actually show you now that this is um off to the side here, so you can actually see what i'm doing um. This is just generally how i set my hair when i'm doing any style um you know, and then i just kind of tweak it after it's set for whatever style, i'm actually doing um there are people again i was trained professionally, so there are people out there Who, like section off little pieces of hair, and it's all like whatever i'm very like free-flowing and very freestyling, so i kind of just randomly grab a section of hair. So this is what i do, which is not the here i'll end. All of curling iron usage um, i like to start in the center of the hair, and i kind of i smooth it curl it i kind of just loosen up the clamp. I always use a clamp. I know some people don't don't like using clamps. I love using a clamp and then i i loosen it up here, slide it off and then i kind of kind of roll it up again and then i pin it to my head. It'S just this is the technique. I use there's probably a lot of people that might be watching this. That might be like what are you doing? That'S ridiculous. It works for me and i don't get a lot of people that complain about how my hair looks so we're gon na go with it. Um yeah i'll show it to you again. I start in the center of the hair, i kind of i twist it. I like twisting away from the face um, i kind of twist it like loosen up the clamp and slide it through a little bit yeah. Basically, i'm trying to get this little little little piggy right here, this little little end piece here, i'm just trying to get it so that it goes neatly, so it doesn't fall out like that. If it falls out like that no big deal, i just start up a little bit higher and just keep smoothing it out. Basically, i like to just keep smoothing it out until you get the end nice and nice and clamped in there, and just set to that. I have tried non-clamp curling irons, i don't like them, i just don't like them. I also don't like that. They come with a mitt. It'S like it comes with a burn mitt. Like i don't know, i just don't like using beauty products that have to come with, like burn kits like i don't know like just no again. This is just how i do things so yeah, so verb um actually sent me a couple new products that they're launching and they are volumizing products which i will uh tell you about in a minute after i set my hair um, so i'm gon na go for Super big volume um, which is actually gon na, be interesting because my hair is so much heavier now because it's gotten so long so i think it's gon na be really interesting to see how i can get some big volume curls in my hair. The key is you want to scoop up the hair and kind of mold it into a curl here and and clip it basically, what that does for those of you that don't know um. Basically, what that does is it's kind of when the hair cools down it kind of keeps the hair in the curl as it's cooling down. So then, on this side again, when i do this, i i still curl it away from the face. That'S what i like, but again it's totally personal preference. Some people like curling, towards the face some people like going um towards the face and on one way away from the face the other way um. You know some people, like you, know, middle parts, some people like side parts. I style it with my hair side parted because um middle parts do not work on me. That was something i had to accept, um being a child of the 90s, where everybody was doing like the long straight middle parted hair, and i even have i think, some old school pictures of me where i attempted to live the middle part life and sadly it Was not for me, i am just not meant i'm not meant to exist in a world where my hair is part in the middle. It'S just it's not good. Now that i awkwardly set my hair, i swear to god as much as this looks crazy and like i, i have no idea what i'm doing just just bear with me like little orphan annie with blonde hair anyway um. So while my hair is cooling, i want to tell you about the cool and new products from verb, they're, actually doing a launch kit um, which you actually get some savings. If you buy it in a kit, um angie had a little few little bonuses. Um you get this cool bag right here and this cool clip for the hair. You can use this for styling blow drying and you also get in the kit. The two new products, which are the verb volume, dry, texture spray and the verb root, lift lightweight hold volume. Texture powder part of the reason why i love verb products, so much is that they contain no parabens no gluten and no sulfates, which i'm not gon na lie. A few years ago i fell down the rabbit hole of like beauty, products, particularly hair care products and the ingredients in them. And let me tell you it can become an obsession. So when i find products that have like good, clean ingredients and don't include a lot of other sketchy ingredients, i am all on board. Okay, so i took my hair out. I didn't really do anything to it. This was just me taking my hair out of the clips, and the curls are still they haven't been broken up. Yet so it's like jayla and around are they broken up? Are they not broken up? Who knows? I'M just gently going through and just sort of gently breaking up the curls with my hands um. You know some people use brushes. I like using the hands a little bit more okay, so cute, like it kind of a you, know: bouncy curl vibe, but we're gon na try to go, go big or go home right, the higher the hair the closer to heaven. So i am going to try um my verb root, lift lightweight hold volume, texture powder, the way that this works and again i have not used this yet um. I wanted to actually try this out on camera. We can all be surprised together because this is a brand new product and but i've loved every verb product that i've tried so far. So i can't imagine i wouldn't love it so basically, this goes right on the root, so i'm gon na lift the hair up. Oop, okay, don't i just want to see if it would work, don't spray it in the air? Just don't do that! Ah, okay. So this kind of feels like a um kind of like a dry shampoo ish, this only you're spraying um you're spraying the powder. I actually wasn't sure if it was going to be like a liquid to powder, but no it's actually just a powder. It'S not actually leaving a white mark on my hair, which a lot of dry shampoos do but chili one's for blondes, which is weird because it's like it's leaving a white mark on my hair, whose hair is it not leaving a white mark on right, um but Yeah, i'm not noticing any, even though clearly when i accidentally popped it out, it's clearly a white powder um, but it's not it's obviously not so concentrated and so white that it's not leaving a white mark on my on my hair and yeah, i'm definitely so yeah. Oh, i'm definitely seeing some lift here. Yes, you tell the difference, my goodness, i can see it. Oh yes, oh yeah, ooh that is check out that volume uh-huh. So now, i'm gon na use the volume dry. Texture spray should really be using that in much more ventilated room than i have in my closed-off bedroom, yeah. Okay. So with this i'm just going to oh yeah, this is like this is definitely like bed head vibes like major goddess energy right now. Yes, oh my god, the volume, because the thing is my hair - is so long right now that, like everything, just weighs it down - and this is just totally - i don't like big hair right - it's fun. So these are the two new products that are launching and they're gon na be in a limited edition, kit, um and i will leave a link to that uh in the description box. So be sure you check that out um where you get the bag. This little clip, which i didn't specifically use in this probably could have when i was curling my hair um, but i didn't, but this would be more of a clip. I would probably use when i was blow drying my hair or something which i didn't do on camera, because we would have been here all day. The volume dry texture spray. I don't know i don't love texture sprays in general, but my hair does not feel like um, dry and gritty. You know like sometimes hair feels really dry and gritty when you use a texture spray. Some people love that i'm not really a fan of that, and even the powder, like my hair, doesn't feel my hair doesn't feel dirty. It just feels full. It feels soft and full which i'm loving. So these are the two new products that we'll be launching. I'M super excited about it. I cannot recommend verb products enough in general um. I have just been loving them and i really do believe that their products have saved my hair, so yeah i'll leave all the information in the description box below um. I am loving this full hair. If you guys have any questions or uh want to see any other um, hair, tutorials or anything um. Please, let me know, i'm just gon na be in the mirror, the rest of the afternoon, posing with my big goddess hair and i feel, like i wan na audition, to be like a dallas cowboy cheerleader now yeah. So, thank you so much to verb for sponsoring this video. Thank you so much for watching um. Again, all the information will be in the description box below um.
