Hi, my name is caste Blackwell, the founder and editor of natural selection, blog calm, a popular website geared towards empowering and educating people about natural hair care. Today, I'm here to tell you about coconut oil for black hair coconut oil is one of the best oils for black hair, as it's got a lot of essential vitamins and fatty proteins that make it super nourishing for our hair. Coconut oil comes in a solid white, solid consistency and has a super low melting point, so you can scoop it from the container. Rub it in your palms. You'Ve got an oil on your hands. You can also take it in larger quantities. Stick in the microwave it and add it to any sort of conditioner coconut oil is great for sealing moisture into your hair, so whether you're wearing loose natural hair or locs or braids or twists. You can just apply some to your palms and smooth it over the surface of your hair to retain any moisture that you'd, like you, can also put some on your palms implied directly to your scalp for a tropical scented scalp, massage for more information about coconut oil And any other black natural hair tips visit me at natural selection, blog calm,

chumley7117: My hair loves coconut oil and argan oil. That's the winning combination for my hair because it has allowed me to retain length. I have seen my hair grow from 2.5 inches to 4 inches in 4 months. I did the big chop 11 years ago and had never obtained that kind of growth until now. Part of the reason is that I also had HIH (hand in hair) syndrome and I'm proud to say I've kicked that bad habit too.

K.K: Some of these youtube Videos are beneficial and some are not. Please do not microware the coconut oil if you're going to use it...just let it sit out before use. Secondly, coconut oil does not work for everyone! if you experience dry brittle, hair that seems to be coming out after using it STOP & find you another oil that works for you!! Youtubers normally tell you what worked for them but never the side affects of what could possibly happen to you. What works for one person may not work for everyone else. keep that in mind. Have a nice day Now.

N A: I don't know if this is weird or not but don't you have to wash the coconut oil out regularly? If I tend to let it stay in my hair then my he head gets somewhat itchy. Help please?

Nina Alfred: Can I use coconut oil castor oil and peppermint oil together to put in my hair I have rope twists I do not wash my hair that often

BOOKGEEKY: Coconut oil is not a sealant... It's a moisturizer, like olive oil and avocado oil. These three actually penetrate the layers of the hair shaft to give it moisture. A sealant is a sealant only because it does not penetrate the hair shaft, it coats it. When you do informational vids like this, you should really do your research...

z umba: coconut oil does not moisturize natural hair!
