Hello and welcome to my channel, my name is laura for those of you who don't know me, which is probably going to be most of you, as this is my first ever video on youtube. So thank you so much for tuning in. I am basically going through a quarter life, slash midlife crisis, depending on how you see me progressing through life. So basically, what i'm gon na do is kind of sit down chat with you guys talk about random things, reviews of recipes, reviews of makeup reviews of cocktail mixes random vlogs, just kind of going through the motions with you. So, if you'd like to tune in keep up with my antique, potentially learn a thing or two about some products, see if they're worth your time and money, click that subscribe button down below give me a like feel free to subscribe. To my other channels, including my instagram, which i will link down below, but let's just jump into today's video, you might notice that my hair is a little bit bland a little bit dull a little bit. Frizzy, i mean i don't have the world's worst hair, but i don't really do much with it. So that's one thing that everyone knows about me: i'm pretty simple gal. I like things to be easy. I, like things to be efficient uh because i'm always on the go. I'M either going to a meeting um doing some study, doing some research meeting with friends having a cocktail there's always time for a cocktail. But today what i wanted to discuss is the dyson air wrap complete kit. Now it is a high ticket item in australia, which is where i live. So that's the currency i'll be using aud it's 799. Now a lot of you would be thinking whoa. That'S a lot for a hair product, but wait it does come with quite a lot in it. So this is what the box looks like. It does look like a very beautiful hermes style box. It has a lovely magnetized clip here. You open that we have a little heat map put that there. We have some instructions here and then we have all of these attachments. We'Ve got one two, three, four: five: six, seven, eight attachments plus the actual device itself. Now, when you take into account that most hair products are either going to be a cheap or be expensive, so if they're, cheap, you're gon na have to replace them, if they're expensive, then you're gon na have all of these be expensive on their own. So what i'd first like to show you this nifty little boy? This is the pre-dryer. So what you do is you plug it in what you do to attach it? Is you just clip it in and it's it now, this one is what you use on directly damp hair. So if i were to have just gotten out of the shower, which i haven't today i'll be using this to pre-dry and get it to a damp consistency to then use the other styling tools now the heat does come out the silver end, not the pink end. So be aware of that now with the dyson this turns on, and this is the heat, so we have cool medium hot and then we have a low fan, a medium plan and a high fan. Now, when you're using this, you turn it on. There is um a cool jet setting that will basically set your hair. Now it's not relevant for this one, but i will show you while we're going through the buttons, so you just press it up a little bit more for the cool jet like that. Now, to get it off, you just pull this and out she comes now. Next thing i would like to discuss: is these little barrels now? These are amazing. These are your cute tight curls, i'm not going to give you ringlets unless you go quite thin in the strands that you do attach like. If i were to do that, it would be quite a tight curl, but these are for beautiful curls. These ones are for your waves or your bigger curls, so you can have large voluptuous curls or you can brush them out for a beautiful wavy look which, being at the gold coast, is very popular. It'S in trend, it's all around the streets. Next, we have the straightening brush. Now this is one of my favorites, not quite my favorite, but one off this one. It has firm bristles. Now they do shimmy around so that way it doesn't catch your hair and it goes through and it will basically straighten your hair now all of these products - the air comes through this, so it's blowing the hair around the curly boys or it is blowing through. While it's straightening now my favorite one to use other than i would say, the tight curls is the smoothing brush. Now this is very similar to the straightening brush, except it has these little soft ends and it smooths out your hair so beautifully like i struggle with frizz. If i step outside and i've not done my hair plus, it looks like i have a mini afro of baby hairs, it's stupid, so this really does help it. Alongside with that cool jet setting and last but not least, we have the blowout round brush now. This would be really phenomenal if you have like bangs or if you just wanted, like a classic, really big blowout style. It'S not my style at the minute, but i do like that. I have the option there, so this is probably the only one that i won't show in my little run-through tutorial today, but it is in the kit if it is something that you are interested in, like i did mention earlier, it's recommended to do on damp hair. Now i'm going to use the kerastase oil to protect my hair because i never put any heat on my hair without a protectant. So, let's just then, i just like to grab a comb and do a quick comb through to make sure that everything is covered in that oil and it's weird putting an oil on to protect your hair. But i promise this stuff is beautiful and it smells fresh. But not overbearing, it's like a perfumey scent. It just smells really really light and lovely. Now i do have this nifty little water bottle, sprayer, for if i'm doing my hair like today, where i've not had a shower, but i have had a shower i've, just not washed my hair, because i i don't wash my hair every day. I like to keep the natural oils in it. It keeps my hair healthy. So what i will first do is section my hair and then i'll just show you a few of the attachments. Now that our hair has been protected. It'S been sectioned, we're going to take the water bottle and we'll just give it a generous spritz. That'S more than enough, that's probably even too much. I think we can work with it. So what i will show you first is the straightening brush. Now my hair is already quite straight, however, it it will dry. The hair and you'll see a noticeable difference between this side and this side bear with me, and that is the difference immediately. You see this side is a lot shinier. It'S a lot sleeker this side. It'S nice like, but it's nowhere close to this, so what i'll go in with next, we will pop this one off i'll pop on the smoothing brush. Now these two are going to look quite similar, which is why i've done them in the same layer of my hair and we'll do the curls on the tops just spritz with spritz. And then we just go for it. And now you will see that they are both quite sleek. This one is, i cannotice that it is a lot straighter than this side. This side has a flowy kind of natural going with the flow of my body, whereas this one is straight, so it really does do a great job. I haven't touched my straightener since i got this because it does the job and it's so much better for your hair you're, not putting direct heat on it. You'Re blowing a monitored heat through a device that is also styling your hair. So it's a two-in-one saves time protects your hair. What more could you want? Really, that is the bottom layer done now. We are into the juicy fun stuff. Anyone that has got this kit or has looked at this kit knows what to expect, and it still remains just as fun, so these little ones they basically have these arrows. So what you want is you want the arrow to be facing away from your face in the mirror. So right now i can see arrows are facing this way. This is, for my right hand, side. So what we'll do is we'll pop that one off pop this one on we'll grab a section run that through now, what you want to do is hold the hair and here just toward the end, so that it can grip onto the device. Now it is going to wrap the hair around. That'S why it's called the air wrap sneaky. Isn'T it and then you're, just gon na gradually move the device closer to your head and then you're going to do that cool jet at the very end, and it will lock that curl in place. So i'll show you how to show you what i mean and then you're going to want to pull this directly down, and here we have a springy little ringlet. Now from here you can pin it up and make it a super tight curl. You can give it a bit of hairspray, i'm just going to let it dangle there. What i will do just to keep it consistent is i'll. Do the other side so i'll pop this one off put this one on arrows facing away from the face arrows pointing away from the face? It'S really that simple! It'S amazing! I love this thing. So what i'm going to do now is we can pop these up here. I think so. I'Ve just popped these up out of the way, because now i'm going to show you the bigger barrels and then you can see the difference as well. I'M going to do the rest of my top layer in the bigger barrels, because it's just a bit flowier. I have a business meeting today, so i don't want it to be too crazy once again arrows. This is that side. Now i am doing portions that are way too big for recommendation. That'S just how i like it. I like it to be a bit loose or a bit flowier, and i'm also running out of time to get to my meeting spray spray spray. Now i'm gon na go ahead and finish off my hair and then come back and show you the result. It seems we've run into some technical difficulties. This is the perks of watching my first of the video you get to be a part of that yay um. My camera actually died. While i was finishing off my curls and now i guess we will unpin these front curls and then what i will do is take out my bottom half of hair and just kind of run, my fingers through it and then we've got it going from super tight Kind of wavy, with a flat straight underneath, because i just wanted to show you as much as i possibly could in regards to the dyson. Now i am a huge fan. I love it. I think it is the funnest thing ever to to play with before i got it. I never styled my hair, i would blow dry it if that and then call it a day chuck my hair up out the door i went now. I have a reason to use it at first. I was experimenting with it. I thought it was fun and then it got to the point where, even if i was just like, i can't be bothered. I just know that this provides a beautiful result. I love it. It'S effortless, it looks like you've done a lot to your hair, but you really haven't it looks after your hair. It protects your hair, like i have next to no frizziness in comparison to my usual. So that is a bonus. Yes, it's expensive, but if you see yourself using this product, often like even if it's a couple of times a week, i highly recommend it because, like i said, i haven't touched my hair straight now. I'Ve never had a curl up in my life, so i would never try and do curls. I tried it with a straightener. I don't have those skills, i don't have the skills to pay the bills, i'm aware of that, but now hello i have curls. So i recommend it, i think it's really fun and great, and i hope you enjoyed this video. If you did, please give me a like subscribe and i will be putting out videos every single monday for you. It'S gon na be a bit of an adventure, we're gon na figure it out as we go, but um. Thank you for joining me on the journey. I'Ll see you next time, bye guys. So you

Gina Colvin: I can't get the curls to stay in my hair, I have coarse, thick, wavy hair. I have tried it wet, dry and everything in between. I have used all kinds of products, foam, oil, hairspray to no avail. Someone suggested pinning the curls but £500.00 for a hair took that needs some kind of supplementary fiddling? Not impressed.
