Hey guys welcome to my channel i'm summer today we're going to be discussing best volumizing products for fine and thin hair. So, although i wouldn't label my hair as exactly thin, it is overall, very flat and stick straight with almost no natural body. For the most part, i only use volumizing products in my hair because most other products just leave my hair feeling either too soft weighed down or they make it feel dirty already the next day. So, although a lot of people prefer volumizing products for their fine flat or thin, hair, there's also a ton of different products to choose from, as you can see here and you're often left feeling overwhelmed and not sure which ones to choose from deciding how to choose Which volumizing products you want is simple: what type of full volume look? Are you going for? Are you wanting all the body in the world just some soft fullness? Are you wanting lift only at your root or just throughout your ends? These different desired looks can be easily achieved with various volumizing products. So, if you're looking for max amount of volume in your hair, at your roots and throughout your ends, you're going to want to use both a root, lifter and a mousse, the root lifter is going to give you the most lift at your root. Obviously, and the mousse is going to give you the fullness to your ends as well as a little bit of hold my favorite go-to products for that look would be moroccan oils root boost as well as their volumizing mousse redken's, full frame and amica's volumizing mousse are Also great alternatives for your ends as well: moroccan oil's root boost i find to just not have quite as much of a product feel as other root. Boosters i've tried, but other suggestions would be redken guts as well as big sexy's root lifter as well um. I would say that redken guts and the big sexy give actually probably a little bit more lift and volume than moroccan oils, but they do have a much higher product feel to them. So if you overuse either of those two, i feel like you're going to find yourself needing to wash your hair sooner than with moroccan oils. But i do like the feel i get with moroccan oils. It'S not that heavy product feel it doesn't feel sticky, and it also does give good hold as well as volume, just maybe not as intense so always start off with applying your root. Lifter first, which you just simply shake the can and focus spraying it on your scalp in the areas you would want the most lift. So i usually just focus it on my crown and throughout the sides of my head and then next you'll put your mousse in and again you're just going to shake the can and apply, usually no more than like a golf ball size throughout your ends. Sometimes i'll go back and add a little bit more if i feel it didn't spread well, but i never try to overuse it because sometimes mousse tends to leave a little bit sticky feel to your hair. But once that's in you can feel free to add an oil to your ends. If you have any frayed pieces, it just smooths them lightly. My go-to, for that is obviously i'm a moroccan oil girl, so moroccan oils oil, i'm also really currently enjoying redkins oil. For all it's really nice, it's not super heavy, it's lightweight and it spreads well and then olaplex number seven love this stuff spreads very well as well. You don't need a ton of it and i feel, like you, get maybe a little bit more nutrients um. As far as oils go compared to your moroccan oil or the red, so now, the most important part of how to get volume is not only in your products, but in also how you style your hair, i'm going to link below and post above a video that I'Ve done on how to achieve a great at home salon style volume blow dry. I get very detailed on how to do it yourself and it really does help make a difference in extending the life of your blow dry and also help boost the results of your volumizing product. Now, if you're, not wanting exactly the mac, daddy volume, look and you're just wanting to add some soft fullness to your hair with a little bit of hold, i would say just only use a volumizing mousse all over your hair. That is what i've done with my hair today i use moroccan oil's volumizing mousse this morning, as well as olaplex number seven. On my end, so i have some fullness and movement to it, but it's not super stiff, so the volumizing mousse is going to give you enough lift and overall body, but just not as intense as when you're, combining both the root lifter and the mousse together. You can also always opt to either just use a root lifter on its own and nothing on your ends, so it just depends on the amount of height you want to get or the amount of softness you want to get. Your third volume option would be if you just want an overall appearance, a very soft body in the hair and your hair, to feel a little bit thicker. My absolute favorite for this would be bed head. Small talk, i love this stuff. I cannot say enough great things about it. I have used it on and off in my career for the last 14 years, so small talk on top of creating body also is a thickening cream, so you're gon na get that thick feel to your hair, because it's going to expand your hair follicles and another Great perk of small talk is, while you do get some body and movement. It also doesn't leave your hair feeling, like the stiffness, that you sometimes get from either a root, lifter, definitely or a mousse, so volumizing creams definitely are going to be your preferred choice. If you are someone who doesn't like a lot of a product feel to your hair, other great options that will give similar results to the small talk would be redken's thickening lotion and, although it's not technically a cream moroccan oil's volumizing mist gives a nice amount of Body and hold to your hair without the hair feeling stiff, which i will also do a link in a post for a video i've done reviewing that product as well. The moroccan oil volume mist that you can get a little bit more information on it. So key points, if you are wanting mega volume, the most holding body for your hair you're, going to want to pair together both a root lifter and a mousse. My favorite suggestions for that would be moroccan oil's root, boost and volume mousse and if you want a decent amount of volume, but with a little less stiffness, but still some hold opt for just a mousse on your ends. Amica'S volumizing mousse plus size is another great alternative to moroccan oils volume mousse and if you're, looking for more of a thicker feel to your hair with some bounce and movement, small talk. 100 percent is my number one recommendation. I'M obsessed with this stuff, so final mentions that i feel like should be noted. Volumizing shampoos and conditioner you're definitely going to want to use a volumizing, shampoo and conditioner anytime you're, trying to get the most volume in your hair. Really. My number one recommendation would be moroccan oils, volumizing, shampoo and conditioner. It'S what i always go back to most volumizing shampoos and conditioners. I keep saying this word over. They tend to be drying. It'S just kind of gon na happen to not flatten out the hair, but i do feel like the moroccan oil conditioner really spreads through your hair super. Well, so it leaves it feeling soft but not weighed down and then also if you are somebody who likes body and fullness, but your hair is a little bit damaged and needs some extra tlc. The olaplex number eight is going to be the number one moisturizing mask that i can recommend to really any hair type, but especially fine haired girls. It does not weigh your hair down this stuff is a game changer for giving you moisture and some extra conditioning, but it's not going to weigh it down you're, not going to feel like it's flat lifeless or like greasy after using it, and then my third and Final suggestion would be if you're looking for some body and extra texture definitely get living proofs dry volume blast. I'Ve done a review on this as well with a texturizing comparison, video. I did that i'll link as well and suggest above, but this is great for just a little extra like kick in your hair and movement and hold as well and last but not least, a final mention would be hairspray people, either love or hate hairspray. I'M a huge hairspray fan, but hairspray is going to help you lock in your volumizing look. You want a working hairspray again with my moroccan oil, moroccan oils, strong finishing spray. It'S not it's a little misleading with the title and the word being strong. It'S really not that hard of a hold you can easily work your hands through it. This is my favorite and then also kenra's working spray would be my second favorite. I always go back and forth between these two. You don't need to douse your hair and hairspray. You don't have to make it stiff, but just a little bit does kind of help lock in your volumizing. Look that i definitely always recommend so there you guys go. These are like all of my favorite go-to volumizing products, anywhere from root lifters to mousse, to shampoos and conditioners and oils, and such i hope you guys enjoyed the video. I hope i helped any of you out. Please leave a comment below if you have any questions. I'D be happy to answer give this video a thumbs up subscribe.
