We are gon na head on over to the worst rated hair salon. I think i might regret that decision later. I feel, like this side is shorter than this side. Hi guys i'm mar no, i'm not crazy. I swore this as an explanation, but today i'm going to be going to the worst rate, hair salon and i yeah this is happening all right, you guys so this hair salon. It has so many one star reviews. It'S like i'm, not even kidding and they're. Pretty recent, so i'm gon na read some of those awful one-star reviews. Okay, so sack says one star horrible service. I called to make an appointment and she said come in 15 minutes. I showed up in 15 minutes. She asked if i could come back in 40 minutes, because somebody just showed up what's the point of making an appointment, then she laughed horrible service. I will never go there again or recommend to anybody. Okay, here's another review, one star, it says. Please know there are two yellow pages for the salon. Oh you already know when there's two yellow pages, you know that's about to be a mess, it's like, they start a yelp and then they're an awful place and they get really bad reviews. So they start another. One they never fix their mistakes. It'S like, of course, both yelps are gon na, be bad. You know these all shady businesses do the same thing. I don't know why. So everybody in the reviews is complaining about this person's son and when i went in there i asked about sun and she wasn't there. So i honestly feel that the reason why the salon has so many bad reviews is because of sun, because every bat review is about sun and when i went in, i asked and the girl that was with me was not sun and the other person was not Sun either just so i don't know, i mean if i would have gotten inside just so you guys know, but look it does. Unfortunately, i can't recommend sun was nice enough. I guess, but what other reviewers have pointed out about this place is true. I came in wanting my grace covered by my natural hair color chocolate brown. What i got was just giant black all the way to the ends of my long hair looks like shoe polish. There was virtually no discussion or input from me. Son just picked a color. Okay, so she just decided your hair about to be black right. Now i don't care if you have dark brown, dark brown black the same to me: okay, girl. What look at this review one star, i called ahead and asked if they had time for cut and color and describe what i wanted no problem. I drove all the way out here and they waffled and said what i wanted sounded too complicated what and to go somewhere else, as they didn't have time, thanks for wasting two hours of my commute to okay, why would you drive to this place two hours away? I mean who drives to a hair salon. That'S two hours away. It would have to be like the most amazing like it will be. Like you know, this person that's been doing your hair forever and they moved away and you're like okay. You know what i'm driving two hours but who drives two hours for a hair salon. Oh look. This is what i was saying so susan one star said i went to this saturday to have my hair washed and trimmed. I had a wonderful experience with karina and she was understanding and gentle, because i was unable to wash my own hair due to surgery. I went back to have my hair washed. I mean i love that she's explaining why she goes back to the salon to have her hair watch. It'S not like! Oh well. I just had a good experience. I'M going back she's like it's, because i can't do it myself. Then i got the most rude beautician named sun, so it's the sun, the problem - oh, oh, my god. It feels like a celebrity to me. I'M like i need to meet the sun. She wanted to charge me more for everything, because all i needed was a wash and a ponytail. No, no, when i told sun no blow dry, she began to berate me, and that said i will sue you claiming that i was abusing her. He told me 25 charge but wrote 20 in the ledger, so i only paid 20.. When i demanded a receipt and her name son told me she was the manager. Then she said she was the owner. Neither was true steer clear of the salon. Oh my god. That'S crazy: okay! That'S hella crazy! Okay! So here i found the mandatory fake five star review because there's always fake five star reviews. Every time i see one of these look, it says sun is fabulous. She does the best color in l.a, always kind and quick yeah. Okay, i don't believe you tanya, whoever you are so terry. One star says worst never again. If the owner wants to respond to me and give me a phone number and time to call them, i will definitely i'll rather tell the person who can actually do something about this horrible salon, rather than complain on the site. Thank you i mean. I get your point honestly i do, but i nobody responded to them all right, you guys. So i went to the salon, and this was my experience all right, you guys, so we are gon na head on over to the worst rated hair salon. I am gon na ask for curls. Well, i'm gon na get like wash my hair and everything, although my hair is clean right now, but i feel like curls is something that's kind of like complicated enough, but also like easy enough, because any hairstylist should be easy to do a curl. But my hair doesn't really hold the curl too well, as you can see, it's like pretty. I don't know just like flat, so we're gon na do that. Oh, you know what i just thought of this. I'M gon na ask her to give me like maybe some layers to the front of my face. Oh god, i'm gon na do that. I think i might regret that decision later, but just like some really, you know long layers to the front of my face and see what happens i mean i did cut my own hair, so if she does a worse job than i did when i cut my Own hair, like i don't even know what to tell you guys but yeah so we'll see. This is what my hair looks like right. Now, it's pretty basic, just like my black hair and yeah. Let'S go: let's see what happens, we're getting close guys. I'M scared for my hair cordon i'm gon na ask like a small haircut. Oh my god, gordo's must be yeah, i'm you're, probably terrified, because he does not want me to like ever cut my hair, but it's only going to be a little bit. I mean if they abuse the scissors. I don't know what might happen, but just a little we'll see. Okay, it's that place. Oh, yes, all right we're going in with you guys, um! I want to get my hair um. I went to write and then some curls yeah for sure. What'S your name yeah for my name? Yes, okay, all right guys, i'm in the chair about to get new hairdo! Okay. So how much do you want to cut? Do you know um? I just want to like frame my face a little bit because you know like this is like very long. I feel like it's not really craving my face. Okay, so just test that just like a bit also, i don't know if you notice yeah. No, i just this is fine. It'S just around my face. Just bring the face and not cut the back. No, not the back, not the bait i'll, just cut the front yeah! Okay! Do you want to take off? Take this one over? Are you freezing i'm cold? So you can get it off no on your ears right yeah. Are you going anywhere special today yeah? I have an event, but i see it's a bit dry so that doesn't yeah. No. I just wanted to do my because i like that color, that's like yeah. I know i don't know if you've seen yeah yeah my ends are a mess. I think this is the first time i've gotten my hair cut with my hair dry. Well, because this one can see the shape you can see it better yeah. It makes sense, but everybody's different, you know i i'm not. Can i say one way is right: it all depends on the uh. You know individual yeah. I feel that myself. So how sure do you want me to have the layer like you want um? I can't really see right now: okay, actually yeah i'll, do it for you, okay yeah. I forgot to ask how much this would be. Oh, the costume, because your hair, your hair, is long yeah, okay, blow dry 40 yeah and the haircut 25. 65. Oh okay, yeah 65 plus incur right, oh plus, the curl. Yes, oh okay. So how much is it actually? It will be 45.. Don'T do that? It'S hundreds! Oh 100! Wow! It'S extra for the curl, oh wow, okay or music. Oh no! I just made daily videos of my life - oh okay, sure so you're a youtuber yeah, oh okay, so more on this or i can do it even more on the front um. I think it looks fine yeah okay, since that's not just the frame of the face. Yeah, i'm not gon na charge you for the full haircut we're having two three minutes: 25. So, let's see 40 45.. Okay, it's gon na be eighty five one, two, the haircut! Oh, thank you! Ten dollars, yeah! Ninety all together! Oh okay, is it better yeah? Thank you. Do you want to get your hair done too yeah? Actually i have a lady in here there. It is it's really long enough. She wants the curve, so it's going to be i'm going to be busy for a while. It looks so good just like that yeah, but i really want to curl it final result. I feel like we're here forever. My hair's so long knew i didn't realize your hair was so long. I really like it. It looks really good yeah. It looks pretty a beautiful hair, like i said, and i like the volume, the lighter on the ends, and we have a little stern. I mean you, are you look young, you look like high, you think yeah yeah, you have a young face, so you want. Do you want me to spray? No, you you're gon na spray spray, some more okay, yeah you do whatever you're feeling. Are you gon na fix it later or no you you do whatever spray me. Okay, let me just like. Oh, i know i feel like i'm already, like i don't know, yeah, we don't do a store like that anymore. Okay, i'm like trying to like all right. Okay, i was like i don't wanna finish result. Thank you. So much all right. You guys were out. Thank god, my throat hurts from all the hairspray i drank inhaled. I don't even know, i think it was like basically just drinking it, but honestly, i would not give it a one star. She was so i mean there's like some loose strands of hair that she didn't curl, there's some around there that are not curled, but i think she did a great job honestly. It did take her forever. We were in there for a good two hours, my hair. It'S never taken that long to get my hair done, but i don't know she was very very nice honestly. She was a very sweet lady. Oh here, here's the strand of hair. Here it is here's one of them. It'S still, basically straight, but okay, not one star, though honestly. My issue is that this place was pretty expensive. I mean the regular place i go to to get like this hairstyle i paid 55, which is like a hair salon, and it's like i don't know. It'S nicer and this was more expensive and it's not that she did a bad job, but i feel that she's not like. I don't know how to explain this. I feel like she's, not as experienced doing hair. I feel like she mostly just does like men's haircut from the people that walked into the place, so if it would have been like hella, cheap i'll, be like yes, but overall, i loved her. She was super super super nice. So i don't know i just kind of wish this place was cheaper, but let's see, let's see how this holds up. Let'S see if it falls, maybe it'll be like amazing, it'll hold forever. Who knows? Okay, you guys so it's time to show up my hair. Wait! Oh god, i feel like this is like a before and after moment. Well, you guys already saw my hair honestly, so here it is alright guys, so i know you already saw most of it, but there's a couple of things you didn't see and first of all what i found strange. I know i said that it was like expensive, but i found it so strange how they didn't like have a price for anything. She like said a hundred and then she was like, oh well, i complained about it. I was like well that seems like really expensive and then she was like well, okay, like 90, and she was like well 80. Well, no, never mind! 85.. You know she like kind of just like set whatever price she wanted, and i know somebody said that they would tell you a price and then they would put something else down, but i don't know what she put down. I didn't really check so i don't know if she put down like 50.. I have no idea. Son, like i said, was not there. The girl that was with me was sarah and honestly she was so nice. I mean well talk about the hairstyle in a minute, but she was nice like her. You know when somebody's like really nice to you, even though they're doing kind of like a crappy job you're, just like you're, so sweet it's been, i don't know. Maybe how long has it been like five hours so it has fallen? I did not brush it out. This is what it ended up. Looking like, i am fine with it. I mean i think she did a pretty good job. It did take her a really long time, but honestly, i would not say this is like the worst hair salon. As far as my haircut goes, she okay, so i feel like this side is shorter than this side. I don't know, is it just me? What do you guys think i feel like she? Did you had a little bit short? I didn't oh yeah, oh my god, it's for sure, like a lot shorter, there's, no strand of hair. That'S this! Oh, my god! Okay, i mean, oh god, do you guys see right here and then right? Oh my god. Look at the difference. This is a lot short like look. This is here and then this is all the way down here. Ah, i don't know, i mean it was it's kind of hard because she was so nice. I was expecting somebody who would be terrible. I mean i would never go back there again because she's just not a good stylist and it's not like the manicure place where i was like. Ah at least it was cheap, but i'm gon na pass this one on to you guys, you guys. Let me know what your thoughts are. I mean i'm not a professional hair stylist, so i don't know what she was doing with like right or wrong. I do get my hair done often enough, where i felt like she was pulling on my hair. A lot i mean i was like in pain and then with the hair spray. My throat hurt from so much hair spray that i adjusted at that salon. So that was pretty bad but yeah. Let me know what you guys think don't forget. I'Ve made a whole bunch of these. I went to the worst rated makeup artist, which was crazy. I feel like i need to go to another makeup artist, just because that time i didn't even get my makeup done. I went to worst rated all you can eat. I went to a worcestershire restaurant i've even gone to the worst rated plastic surgeon and that video is coming up on friday. f dani: I work in a salon and am going to school for cosmetology and I SCREAMED when she told you $100 total for your hair. I would have maybe charged $45 for the cut and blow dry in addition to $10 for the curl and $10-15 for the "length." Making it a max of $70. Even then, I would't feel right charging you that much and probably end up charging you $50. **Edit: I would not have sent you out with those non-curls strands either. HOWEVER, she seemed nice and it looked organized and mostly cleaned.

Suddenly wanted to give you a discount, she suddenly said your hair was beautiful (rather than continually saying long like it was a burden), and suddenly she likes the red at the ends even though she literally said three times in the beginning to cut it off. I hope she really is sweet, but it seemed only to come out once she knew her behavior was going on the internet. :( Also as others have said, not an excuse for doing a bad job. You could tell she was hesitant and intimidated by your hair length (giiirl literally can relate for life) but decided to just chop at the front without looking to make sure it was even. It's growing up with places like these that make me do my own hair haha

XANAXXTASY: Immediate red flag when you walk in, the sign that says "Please pay tips in cash", wtf? No higher rated salon's do that, not even local ones say that. They probably pocket they money so they don't have to tax it since they get such bad business. They're trying to keep as much as possible to stay open. They should just close.

That lady tried to charge you $25 "because your hair is long" for a cut when all she did was a 5 min "frame" that she messed up. When she found out you were a YouTuber she lowered the price by $15. Kristin Haughney: I just wanna say that you are one of the few people I see that does these videos right. You don't usually name the place, you'll blur faces, you're honest about filming and respect boundaries, you go in with an open mind, and it doesn't come across as though you're trying to drag these places. Besides the makeup scammer, most of these people are just trying to make a living. Thank you for doing these in a respectful but entertaining way!
maritza sias: Drybar would never When I went to drybar I paid about $60 which included a $10 tip and my hair was on point. I highly recommend drybar for anyone wanting to their hair styled!
Too dles: The cost of this salon visit just blew my mind. It also seemed as if she was making up the prices as she went. Stating the cut was so much because your hair was so long, when you were barely even getting a trim to approximately 2" of hair on each side of your face. Then she offers a BS deal, first saying $85, then going up to $90. I'm well aware prices vary by location, where I live I can have my thick medium length hair cut, colored, washed, & styled at a decently rated salon for around the same price you were charged for a simple wash/trim/style. Even for a place like Los Angeles this seems overpriced, especially considering the ratings.
Jane M: Anyone else panic when they saw one of the stylist BLOWDRY the hair on the ground away instead of sweeping it up with a broom like other normal salons.....
J B: Licensed & working stylist here :) typically a blow dried style is included with a womens cut, using a brush & dryer only, though its not uncommon for some salons to charge extra for using a curling or straightening tool all over the head on top of thd blow dry. Time is money and its quicker to style when your drying it at the same time. You have to take more time to run a flat iron all over or do a head of curls with an iron after drying it, so it'll cost the client a bit extra. Hope this was helpful! (It was really shadey she never gave a set price. You make it clear to the client it will cost extra if that's the case!) The fact it took that long for what seemed like a basic trim & style...wasnt good :/ also the fact she cut you crooked wasn't good either! The LEAST she could've done is not charge you for the styling out part (which was also not...very good )

Mel S: similar experience with a stylist. I wanted a wash & style on some extensions I had and she didn’t have a set price but was clearly making up #’s in her head saying it would be $60 or $70. I was shocked & canceled the appointment. I went to a different salon and only paid $35. Be careful of stylists who make up prices. I had got my extensions cut by her and she did a nice job for $25. Sadly because of this I will not be returning to her, as I felt she purposely doubled the price for personal financial gain.
Lucy Loo: Every negative thing you had to say about it is exactly why Supercuts sucks. The way the company is set up financially it’s overpriced in order to pay their stylists. When you go to higher quality salons a lot of them are set up in a way that the stylists individually pay for their spot in the salon monthly, so they can generally charge less if your specific stylist is good at managing their finances/costs

She just seems like she's cutting like she's still in school though rather than someone who graduated. To be completely honest, I wouldn't be surprised if the salon owner taught her what she knows and she doesn't have a proper license because that hair cut would not pass the state board test.

Esmeeban: The price shouldn’t be affected by how long your hair is but by how thick. A longer strand of hair just wraps around the curling iron more. Thickness means you have to do more work. 100 dollars is absolutely ridiculous, especially for the service provided!

Yes she probably should have checked your hair cut after the blow dry and wet you down before the cut but that was about it. My salons haircuts range from $46-$89. And then curls are an additional $65.

BionicBear: I seriously can't believe she charged you so much!!!! I just got my hair cut for the first time in years. My hair is extremely thick and it was, I kid you not, literally down past my bum. The amazing lady that I go to washed it, cut 12 inches off of the length, layered it, then made sure I was happy with it, we both decided that I could go a little bit shorter, she re-cut it and adjusted the layers, went in and thinned it to relieve some of the overall weight (yes my hair is that thick), blow dried it, made sure everything was even and that I was happy with it, and lastly she went through and curled it just for fun. It took around 2 hours for the whole process, maybe just a little longer. She charged $75 for all of that, but I gave her $100 total including the tip. She did such an amazing job and it was worth every penny and then some! I would without a doubt drive more than 2 hours to have her do my hair, and my mom literally does! She drives 5+ hours to get to metro Atlanta from where she lives. And she has driven down here before just to get her hair done by our favorite lady! I mean, a woman's hair is no joke, and when you find your salon soul mate you gotta stick with them!

Alexis Kraus: Omg! At the salon where I work, a cut plus a long hair blow dry is $36 plus an additional $12 to be curled, so $48 total. My prices as a master stylist are a bit higher at $46 for the cut and long hair blow dry, plus an additional $16 for the curl, making it $62 total. I would probably consider just cutting the angle to be more of a "bang trim", so you would have paid $44 if you were a walk in or $61 with me. I couldn't believe that huge sign about cash tips at the front desk. Yes, cash tips are usually preferred so that they are not taxed and taken out of the stylist's paycheck, but that sign was so unprofessional! Also, the stylist didn't even finish sweeping up before bringing you back to the chair and then gave a shitty consultation because she was multitasking instead of giving you her undivided attention! I didn't see anything wrong about cutting your hair dry since it was just the front and the curls looked pretty!

xCharlotte21xx: My hairdresser that does my hair owns her own shop, I always get a wash, blow and cut - cut includes reshape, more added layers, thinning and of course a trim, also she straightens and styles my hair afterwards even though my hair is the same length as Mar’s and that altogether only costs me £20 .. the shop is super clean, everything is sterilised after each customer use so to watch Mar get charged $100 for a small trim around the face and a curl, awful
