Wavy Hair Styling Products I’M Currently Using

Wavy hair styling products can be hard to find and figure out, most of us with wavy hair (including myself) use curly hair stylers. These are the stylers I’ve currently had in rotation over the last few weeks.

Hey guys welcome back if you're new here hi I'm sue Hannah, I had a video planned on surfactants aka detergents, things that clean your hair and your scalp, but still everyday. I keep getting asked what I've been using, what styling products I'm using and because I have not been buying anything new, I'm just trying to use up everything I have at home that either I've purchased or my mom's purchased and they're just like on the brink of Expiry so I'm trying to use them up just going to show you guys go through them really quickly the styling products I've been rotating through what I'm currently using, which ones I love, which ones I don't love, but do work gon na give them a quick little Reading out of five, so let's just dive in all these products are from the drugstore and all of them, with the exception of one, are made for curly hair, but they can be used on wavy hair because obviously I don't have curly hair and I use them And I just get asked all the time what styling products can be used on wavy hair. So all these that I'm showing you do work on wavy hair. They may not work for everyone, but they do work start with this one right here, which is what I have in my hair right now. If you guys want to see what my hair looks like that's, what she's looking like she's still a little damp, but this is what I have in my hair right now. It is the only product that I have here that is made for wavy hair. It is a Marc, Anthony beach waves cocktail, it's basically a two-in-one styling product. It has a volumizing lotion which is more like a hair gel and the texture cream. It does have a double opening, so you can use one or the other or you can use them. Both at the same time, it's up to you, it does have a really really good hold it's very, very lightweight, so it will not weigh down your waves, it will enhance them and I do think for it to be a two-in-one product is pretty nice, especially because It'S from the drugstore, so it's already affordable. I will say, though your hair can get stringy depending on how you apply this I've only scrunched it into my hair. I'Ve only used it like three times now and I usually just scrunch water out of my hair as much as I can and just scrunch this in, but she can get a little stiff, a little stringy. But it's fine once your hair is completely dry, just scratch out the crunch and it will - or it should clamp back together out of five I'd. Give this like a four out of five just because the stringiness it does perform it very, very well, because it hydrates has good hold volume. You don't really have to refresh your hair the next day because it's held your hair so well, so I'm gon na give her four out of five and if you are looking for something lightweight at the drugstore for your waves, this is a good option. Another mark-anthony product, it's a strictly curls curl, defining lotion, humidity shield. This was one of the first curl cream type products. I ever used long before I even heard of diva curl and when I first learned about wet styling before I tried deeper core products, I was wet styling with this. I think this works well on wet hair versus damp hair, at least for me. It works better on wet hair. It doesn't get stringy as long as you use a little bit. It'S not gon na wear your hair down. It is a thinner formula and it does perform very, very well in the humidity, so I'm gon na give her 3.5 out of 5. Just because the hold is not that great and it is more of like a curly product and like I said I don't like using it on damp hair, but it does work well and it's another affordable option and the last cream product I have been rotating through I'Ve already showed this before, but it is the OGX locking, plus coconut curls air dry cream. This is one of my favorite just one in done products. I don't use a lot of cream products, besides the other two that I showed you and this. I don't really love cream products on my hair because they can be heavy. They can wear your hair down if you're, not careful or if you're too heavy-handed. I tend to be very heavy-handed with products, but this is another: lighter weight cream product. So if your hair needs a little bit more moisture, you like using creams on your hair for the hydration factor, but you're worried that it's gon na weigh your hair down. This is a solid option I like using this one. I don't really want to do like a whole whole wash day routine. I just want to shampoo the Nishan towel-dry scratched this in my hair air dries beautifully, I'm just gon na dive into gels. I only have two at home right now, like I said, I'm trying to use up what I have at home before they expire, I'm completely out of my herbal essences gel, and I don't know what I'm gon na be able to repurchase it, because I'm at home And you guys know, I don't use TV cold gel anymore, so the only gels I have right now that I've been trying to use first, one being the Tresemme curl defining spray gel. I don't love this. I'M not gon na lie. Don'T love this, but it has decent hold. It'S very, very convenient for refreshing, but if you don't use enough water when refreshing with this, your hair will get stringy and because it contains some drying alcohol, it can't make your hair a little dry, a little flaky. You have to really really scrunch this, but I like the convenience of it. I like the hold of it. I like the idea of it. I give her a 3 out of 5 gets the job done. Is it the best? No, but will it work yes, and then I've also got the Garnier curl treats curl jelly, and I have mentioned this product before I have a review on the Garnier curl treats line when I first tried this and my first impression I raked it through my hair And it did make my hair really really stringy, and even now, if I scrunch it, sometimes it can make my hair stringy, but I feel like this performs really well when it's layered on top of a mousse on wet hair. If I tried damp styling with this, I'm gon na get the ramen noodle hair. This is really really light hold, so it's not gon na make your hair last all day. You'Re definitely gon na have to refresh on day 2 if you're using this, but I think this paired with a stronger hold mousse will give you a good amount of shine definition and frizz control. If you use this in humidity - and it's gon na make your hair frizzy because of the glycerin, but I mean for a $ 6 jelly she's. Okay, I'm gon na give her another 3, maybe 3.5 out of 5. I like it being used with a mousse, but on its own, it's just kind of meh. For me it doesn't work out that great. Lastly, about Musa, I've been using mousse. Very very often mousse was my ride-or-die. When I was in middle school - and I didn't really know how to wear my hair and now I know how to use mousse, so I love it Bryce. I have the dippity-do girls with curls mousse. I use this in my most recent washday video. I love this. This is easily five out of five in the hair styler department, moisturizing good, hold lightweight fluffy, it's affordable, it smells good like everything about this is, can do no wrong. I love this and it has so many good reviews from women of all hair textures, whether they be a two-way or three see. This gets rave reviews and I understand why it performs so so well and if you're gon na buy any mousse from the drugstore and get this one like this is balm. And if you don't believe me then go watch my routine video, because I used it in that video, so this one will come as no surprise to anybody. Who'S been watching me for awhile, and that is the Herbal Essences totally twisted mousse. This has been a rider die of mine for years years and years and years. I'M gon na give her a four out of five because she does tick a lot of boxes except for moisturizing but other than I'm not really adding moisture stronghold for his control. Very very lightweight and performs really really well when you do the double application method, so first apply it to your wet or towel. Dried hair scrunch your hair a little bit and then apply another little dollop of it, and it will hold your hair for quite a few days. You won't really need to refresh too much when using this, because a hold is so strong. I mentioned this. Mousse is usually around two dollars to two three dollars so very, very affordable, and especially during these times, we need the most affordable products. The last styler that I've had in my styler rotation is the OGX coconut curls creamy mousse. So if your hair hates coconut, of course, these oh gee X, coconut products, I've been talking about, are not going to work for you, whether you have curly or wavy hair. This I do really like, though it is thicker for a moose. That'S why it's a creamy mousse, even if you shake it before dispensing it, it comes out pretty thick and the foam itself like I'll, come out as a liquid, and then it turns into this very thick creamy foam. So, with this a little goes a long way because it is so creamy and it is thicker for a moose. I think this will work better if you're like to be to see if you have to a hair, this might still weigh you down. It'S a number. Three hole so it's like a medium hold, but I feel like the hole, does not even really like medium, it's more on the light hold side. I do like to put the curl jelly from granny on top, even though that's also a lightweight product. Just so there's something to hold my hair a little bit more, even though they're both really light. They just work well together, at least on my hair, but I do really like this and I like how moisturizing it is frizz control, decent, moisture, great hold decent. So I'd give her 4 out of 5, but those are all the products that I have currently been using to style. My hair. I use different products on different days, I'm intuitive about which products I want to use kind of like intuitive eating. I believe in being intuitive with your hair routine. You guys know. I always encourage you to use what works for you, because some of these products, you guys, might hate them. I think at the very least they work decent on my hair. They may not be the best some work better than others, but they do work on my way, P, hair. As usual, I will have every product that I mentioned in this video linked in the description, so you guys can check them out if you want to, and if you found this video helpful make sure you give it a thumbs up. So I know that you liked it if you're not subscribed to my channel, and you do want to see more videos like this. Please subscribe. I would love to have you here and if you want to keep up with me on Instagram, I do have a little hair highlight on my Instagram that does feature products and stuff that I've been using. So you can check that out if you want to, but that is it. I will see you guys in the next video bye

Nicole___: Girl you’ve helped me out so much with my curly/wavy hair routine!! ❤️

Trinity Nykole: I’m 2b and up to 3a pieces wavy, fine hair. The dippity doo is my favorite mousse. It clumps my curls SO WELL. And sometimes if I want extra hold with it I’ll use a leave in, the mousse, and a gel on top. I’ll use the mousse in place of cream because of the definition! But I usually use it alone with a leave in. I only sometimes use it with a gel depending on where I am going or whatever. But I’m almost out so I picked up the NYM curl talk mousse from Walmart and we will see how that goes I just feel like nothing can beat the dippity doo for me though so can’t wait till I can go to TJMaxx again and pickup some more

amelia p: i wouldnt survive without this girl i swear

Kathryn: The Dippity Do Girls Mousse is everything you say - really terrific on my 2C think hair. Gives me volume, definition and shine. I used your mousse gel mousse technique with this and got great results! Thanks so much for your helpful videos.

Rayna: Hi Suhanna! I have 2b/2c hair and its pretty long (just above my elbows). I'm starting to get more into wearing it natural and your videos are so helpful! I recently purchased the dippity doo mousse and miss jessies pillow soft curls cream. Should I be using these together or do I pick one or the other? I mainly want definition but with some volume! Also, what order would you recommend using them if I do use them together. Thank you! Love your videos.

Claire Daniels: So happy I found your channel! Finally someone with hair that looks like mine!

Marta: Hi girl ! Im just seeing a loooot of good reviews of giovanni products, most of all are from the L.A gel and the mousse, but the nutrafix deep conditioner, tea tree triple treat shampoo and smooth as silk conditioner have also a very good reviews so i think you can tested them out and see what you think, theres a line for volume, maybe you are interested in that. And the best of this its that they are very affordable, maybe you would like to do a video talking about them ! A lot of love to you, i love your videos !

syeda !: I wish there were more wavy hair products out there. It's sadder because DevaCurl was actually inclusive for everyone from a wave pattern to a kinky hair texture, so it's difficult to find gels and styles that are light enough for loose curls/waves through other brands. Your channel and #HAIRBASICS videos have been beyond helpful though.

Linda Sue: I recently switched over to Herbal Essences *gel* and although it performed beautifully (and I didn't even need to do any refreshes!!), It made me itchy as all get out! Breaks my heart. I will look at these other alternatives I was just looking up ingredients for the herbal essences mousse Mostly liquified natural gas! Yikes!

Jessica Compton: You look stunning as always! And your hair is on point!

Alexis Acosta: This video was so helpful!! But can you explain: do you use a deep conditioner every wash and a leave in conditioner every wash? Also, do you use a cream and then a gel? Sorry, a bit confused! Thank you for this :)

Natalie Jenner: Does the Marc Anthony beach wave cocktail contain silicone? I'm not super strict with the curly girl method so I may end up trying it. Thanks for this video, I need to find affordable drugstore styling product options now that my go to beauty supply store is closed.

SyRiaRenay: I love your YouTube always giving me good vibes ✨

jessie stephens: Hi Suhanna, I know you really like the Dipitty Do Mousse. I'm wondering if you've ever tried the Dipitty Do Girls With Curls Jelly. I've been thinking of trying it, but I'm not sure if it will work on my hair. I have fine wavy/curly hair. Thoughts?

Samantha: What shampoo/cowash do you find is the best for 2b 2c hair?

Anna Burns: thanks! I'm getting some of the products you mentioned.

Lyle Veronica Rabara: I really need haircut but I'm scared. Does anyone know what to ask the hairdresser for long 2b hair?

Sandra Beltrán: Hey Suhanna, could you do some review for live clean super fruit waters line (shampoo/conditioner)? I know sometimes you use live clean apple cider, but this line says is for quenching curls and I really want to know your opinion... Thanks!

Haddis R: How do you feel about leave in conditioners? Do you use them/have any recommendations?

Alani Morales: could you review the Marc Anthony Strictly Curls Curl Enhancing Styling Foam?

azaria :: I have a question‼️‼️So basically my hair is bi polar and it’s always different in certain spots I have 2b 2c and sometimes 3b but it’s always frizzy and I’ve been using this app called think dirty basically it tells you if products are good or not and I use a product creme of nature a lot mostly foaming mouse and the leave in conditioner but I think it’s causing the frizz in my hair I’m not sure what to put in it now

sarah m: Is mousse or gel better for ur hair? I need something for right after the shower but also to refresh on day 2,3 etc.

Sanyah R: How would you rate the OGX cream?

Emily Knetzer: Looking forward to surfactants

meggopops: Hey girl! Thanks for the vid! Super random but do you have lipstick on?? Your lip shade is beautiful!

nikkkiddd: Can you please make a video or post a picture of washing your hair and air drying without using any products? My hair gets extremely frizzy and I would like to believe that if I follow your hair care routine, I’ll have pretty hair like yours. Thanks :)

bobtheballoon: You look like the Grown up version of the lead actress in Mindy Kaling's Netflix show Never Have I Ever

Stephany Oneill: Is the Marc Anthony products paraben and silicon free?

Daniella Cordova: Where did you get the dippty do mousse?
