Hey guys and welcome to welcome back to my channel, it's been a minute since I told a story time here on my channel and I have to do my face, so I can wrap up another video. So I figured you know why not kill one bird to one bird to one bird. What, anyway, I figured. Why not do both at the same time, especially since the other video is about wings, so I figured, I would tell you guys this story about a wig install that went left. So if you want to hear it than just stay tuned okay, so I had trying to think of the best way to go about those thought naming any names just because this industry is really childish and I feel like leave with anybody. But basically, I had agreed to do some work for a brand and they picked out the wig that they wanted me to wear for the shoot, and I was like you know: do you want me to install it come with it ready to go and they were Like no, no, no, no don't worry about that. You know we have a Medicare team is what they used to describe it. So just come as you are now. If you guys know me, you know that I'm tender-headed and I really like you know what people I don't know having their hands in my hair, so they said come as you are, but I still washed and had my hair braided when I went there um. If you watched the video that I uploaded before this one, then you'll see how my hair is braided under this wig right now, where it's sewn into my head. But at that time I had just had it braided and then, like the rest of my hair, was just like hanging loose and I just stuffed it into a wig. So I can wear a wig on the plane on the way over there. So that's how I showed up now the wig that they'd show actually both weights that I brought because they only shows one wig. But I brought two because I was like you know just in case they want to switch up the the style of the shoe Midway. Let me bring up a backup wig. Both of them are from xoxo virgin hair. If you're curious, you know I'll leave a link to the website and you can go over there and take a look at the prices of some of these bundles and I picked. I paid for this with my own money. It wasn't like stuff gifted its mere anything and you'll understand why I'm upset in this story. So I feel like I did most of the hard work for them. You guys have seen my natural hair, it's naturally curly. So I came with it wash, so you don't have to do that. I came with it berated so at most like this is really just the installing the wig is what they had do and maybe like adjust the wigs if the the braids, if they felt like the wig, wasn't going to sit properly on them. So I get there and I meet the team of hair stylist and I'm introduced to the lead hair stylist. I mean I thought I can say it's a he cuz. There are plenty of he celebrity hair stylist and he has two assistants with him any other they're. Talking about the install - and they wanted to see the way ago - that they pretty much told me to sit down in the chair, so they can get ready and after he said like what his name is. You know I pull up his Instagram right there, while they were doing my hair. That might sound weird, but it's actually a pretty normal thing in this industry to look at people's social media pages like right there with them standing in front of you. I don't know telling you in this story: it sounds like a weird thing to do, but no like it's a really normal thing to do in the industry. So I sit down to pull up his Instagram page and I'm looking, and he is in fact a celebrity hair stylist one of his biggest clients, I guess like reoccurring, is Kylie Jenner she's all up and through his page, Kylie Jenner is on there. I think, like Chrissy Teigen a lot of models, a lot of Victoria's Secret models, but you guys you guys catch like a drift of the type of people I'm seeing on his page. I'M scrolling on his page. I'M seeing you know faces like Kylie Jenner, Chrissy Teigen. Think, like Bella Hadid, you notice a lot of people. Don'T look like me and most likely do not have the same hair steps that they have to go through when doing their hair or if they're, wearing wigs and most are probably wearing extensions. So I'm sitting there in the chair. While this process is going on in the more and more I keep looking at his page and I'm realizing, what's going on, the more and more minor are starting to get shot. So I sit down in the chair and they take off the wig that I wore there and they, you know, see my braids all that stuff. So obviously, when they take the wig off and take off the wig cap, the braids now fall down because they're not sewn into my hair, like they are right now, so he tells them take the take the braids that are hanging down and wrap them around. My like around wrap them around this part of my head so that it's not bulky in the back of my head. Okay, so they start wrapping it, and then I see that they are securing it wrapped around my head with bobby pins. You know: okay, you're you're, the celebrity team you're, the ones who know what you're doing imma just sit here and mind my business, so they pin the braids to the side of my head. He comes back over. He puts the wig on my head and then he asks for more bobby pins and I'm like okay, he asked for more bobby pins. He sticks a couple bobby pins into the wigs and then he hands the bobby pin container back to his two assistants and he was like okay now secure the wig were you from, but let me tell you some where I'm from. We don't do like that. What you mean secure the wig with what I know you're not talking about these bobby pins, but he was in fact talking about the bobby pins. He stuck a couple in and then handed it over to his assistants and y'all. They stuck not one, not 10, not 20, not 35. They put over 60 bobby pins in my hair through this way, through my lace, through the lace of my wig, they were putting bobby pins to secure my wig all around the rest of the way. Just everywhere. You could think of. There was a bobby pin and I know because at the end of the day I had to well I'll get there but yeah over sixty bobby pins in my hair just a day anyway. So it's bobby pin central and my hair and again i'm tender-headed, so you can imagine how I'm feeling right now, but again you I'm just sitting there. So they finished with the bobby pins comes back over to see how the wig is sitting on my head and because of how the bobby pins are placed into my hair. So you know you see this hairline right here. So imagine this is my real hair line. The wig is sitting like right here, because all the bobby pins have pulled the wig, because I guess how they applied it. I guess they didn't put the bobby pins in or pull the wig far back enough or I don't know if there were too many bobby pins. So that's what was pulling the wig back. Basically, here is my real hair line and then here is the wig, so he comes back over and he's inspecting their installation. Oh this wig, and he realizes that. So he takes the front of the wig and he starts pulling it down like this. But my head is attached to this wig so he's doing this and my head is going like this and I'm tender-headed, so I'm starting to get here and I'm starting to get irritated um and I feel like he's starting to get irritated because he's realized they put. The whole container and bobby pins in my head, so they can't take it out um, but he can't send me out there with my real hair line, showing under the wig, so he's pulling he's pulling he's pulling I'm sitting there like couch couch attention II got done. Let that New York come out so he's getting frustrated because no matter how much he pulls it forward, it keeps sliding back and then he looks at one of his assistants and he's like. Do you have any glue? What you need to report? I mean isn't that what we needed ten steps ago, but okay, so the assistant says yes, and he goes let's glue, just the the little tip here that won't stay down to my skin. So like pull it forward or have the other one hold, it pull it forward and then just glue this little spot right here down so that it doesn't keep um so that it doesn't keep slipping back. So she pulls out her ghost bond glue. I need to emphasize that she pulled out ghost bond glue to glue the hairline of this wig down and here's the thing I guess homegirl, who had hold the wig forward while she glue actually, should I tell you this yeah, I'm wait till I. I realized what had happened when she went to glue the wig down, but basically so she she did, as she was told she glued down the wig, and he came back over talking about perfection like you know, okay, so he came back over he approved of what He saw so he sent me out to the floor, for you know the shoot now. The thing is whatever was glued down. Whatever was pinned was not working mind you. This thing is sitting on my head. Like a hat, I I I'm pretty sure, like even the brand-new something was off here, because those pictures weren't used. I got since seen the pictures and, coincidentally enough, those were not used. Um, it's just but anyway, so whatever was used to install and hold this wig down did not work because the entire time they were taking photos of me he had to keep stopping them. So he could come over and pull the wig forward again. So you know it'd be like click, click, click picture and then wait. Stop. I got ta fix her hair come over and now these shoots are probably I think I had to be there around 8 a.m. and I didn't go home and like four in the afternoon five. So that's how long I was there! That'S how long they were taking all these pictures. So you know you can do the time frame and that's and I would say I probably started like shooting shooting around twelve, so four to five hours of taking pictures and four to five hours up on my head, so I wrap up filming for the day I Head back to my hotel room, this is the first I can actually see what's going on on my head. I'M probably thinking like why didn't you look while they were doing it, the chair is lower than where the mirror is so even while I'm sitting there, I can't like look forward and see what's going on. If I look straight ahead, all I'm gon na see is the like cart table that their products are sitting on and y'all know. I can't see far away so there's that too. So this is the first I'm seeing my hair. I go back to those are my stand in the bathroom back to this. This ghost bond glue this if you've ever watched any tutorial using this type of product they let you know to keep this far away from any hair that you have on your face that you actually want to keep on your face on your head. Any of that right, I look in the mirror. Remember when the other one was supposed to hold it, so she could glue the the wig down to my head. She put ghost bond glue on my hairline and glued the wig to that. So the situation, the sinks in - and I realized that I have a wig glued down to my hairline with ghost Bontecou and if I have any, if I can still find the pictures I'll insert them into the video, because I was taking pictures and videos to send To everyone I was contacting everyone that I knew at that moment. It was either contact them or contact the brand rep that I had for this project and just go off. So I called my manager, I called NEMA, I called Stephanie the the owner of xoxo, and she also made that specific wig that was going through this process. So I called her sent her the pictures of what was going on so my manager couldn't go with me. The first day shooting because she's a mom she had her mom duties to tend to, but I contacted her and she's like I'm a contact brand to let them know what's going on, because I still have like four days that I have to go back and you Know get my hair done Frere these shoots and at this point like now, I kind of only have one wig and I'm not home. It'S not like. I know that. There'S a Rite Aid right off the street that I can go to so even was kind enough to bring me a bottle of alcohol so that I could try. You know removing this wig without ripping out my hairline. So I start you know trying to uninstall this wig, I'm putting the alcohol on I'm. You know carefully trying to go through and remove the wig and the glue from my hair, like not even my eggs like forget, edges, forget that area, where you're supposed to put it's straight up on my hair line going into my hair, and although I'm being careful, If you can still feel my own hair is like ripping out of my head when I'm trying to take this thing off, so I finally get the the glue portion off and now the the majority of the wig is still. You know stuck to my head because it's a bunch of bobby pins in it and looking back at it everything I know this is not how you're installing miss Jenner's wigs. Actually, every time I see her and like she's got an obvious way gone, I think to myself to the use glue and I see that she's used the same. You know hair stylist. Do they use glue to install that or maybe maybe that really is how they know to install wigs but a whole bunch of bobby pins? I flew in air like a bunch of bobby pins in your hair, so I start the process of removing the bobby pins, and this is how I know how many there are, because again, 1/5 1725 4855 over 60. I literally counted them. I also took a picture of it and sent that to my manager as well, so I take out all the bobby pins and now I'm looking at the wig itself, there's a whole bunch of holes in the lace of the wig because they were sticking the bobby Pins through the lace, I think I mentioned this in a video way way back routes. Just like you see this, I got my head like if only you understood what was going on underneath, like what you couldn't see, but one day I'll tell that story. If you guys remember that video, this is that story, and that was the wig yeah um. This happened too. So I take pictures of all that I take pictures of the holes, send them to my manager, and you know she contacts the brand and I will say that well life. I know she still went in on the brand, but I know it wasn't to the extent that I would have if it was me who had contacted them. But I can say this about the makeup brand that I had worked with. They were really understanding of what happened like they were really apologetic. They were just like we're. Sorry, you know um, we we feel bad. That happened stuff like that boss sent us the the receipts. You know, like the confirmation of when you purchased it and we'll replace it all that good stuff, so I mean like I didn't, have anything to worry about there, because again, they're really receptive to the fact that look at what the person that you hired to do Did to something that I own, but again I still have four days left to go work with these people again. What am I gon na do so a manager was just like you know, moving forward. Would you guys want to work with her natural hair? For the rest of the shoe - and they were like yeah, you know whatever is easiest for her um. He did the the stylist. He did actually go out and purchase his own wig, so he can use that if she wants it's like no, it's not the fact that it was my wig that he had to use. I don't want him installing any wig if this is how he installs them. Like what difference does it make if he's, if he's going down a wig that I own to my hairline or one that he purchased it's still glued down to my hairline? So no that's cool um! My manager was, like you know, like work with her natural hair. So, for the rest of the days um there was a natural hair ponytail, which really that was like the most I wanted them after the ponytails like I just I just wasn't feeling it anymore. It was just like you know what um I'll take care of it. My like my manager, my manager, is like I'll take I'll, take care of her hair for the rest of the week um. You know she did my twist out. She did all of that, and you know she. She was really um like stage mom ish like she was fixing my hair. She was doing little touch-ups and you could tell that like they were getting irritated with it because they can't do their job. Well, I mean like, even when you had a chance to you, know what I'm not gon na get shady in this video, but, like you could tell they felt some type of way, because I had voice where she had voiced my frustrations to the brand. But it was just like, like you're, not gon na, have me out here looking crazy like this. This is not some. I'M just posting these pictures on Instagram type of thing, I'm being photographed with like that type of technology. Everything all up in your face, camera all up in your face and my hair, my wig is all the way back here. I think absolutely not so you can be in your feelings if you want to that sounds like a personal problem and the rest of the brand, the the people who work for the actual makeup brand um when I came with my natural hair for the rest of The week they were just like, why do you wear wigs? Why? If your hair looks like that, then what first of all my hair looks like that, because I don't have to touch it because I leave it under wigs. First of all, second of all, I just cuz, I don't want anyone touching it look. What happens that the the few times that I did allow someone here to touch it so it was. It was an interesting end to the week, but that's pretty much how it ended my manager, who was not getting paid by them to do like that. You paid someone to be on set to do hair she's, not gon, na pay from you, but she's. The one who did my hair for the rest of the week and the thing is like she shouldn't have had to do that. What, if I didn't have her when I was out there what if the shoot was in New York - and she was still in California, like what were you gon na? Do then um, and it's something I see all the time I was talking about it on Twitter and professional black models, especially dark skins, especially the especially models who have like natural. You know, like 4c of four-level hair, we're commenting and saying they've been through the same things or um with with makeup, but my makeup experience over there. It'S a whole other story, um and it's like they shouldn't have to worry about. What'S going to happen, or if you have someone there who can deal with their type-a hair or they shouldn't have to do it themselves because you're not that that bonus to what you're, paying them for them having to do with themselves and you'll? Have someone who's hired to do it for them, but it's a very common story that you hear people saying like they have to do with themselves. I remember I was seeing a post about Lupita and it was just like. Did she do her own hair and makeup and someone was like well, she probably has to because of bad experiences in the past and that's not like it's just frustrating and it's an unpleasant feeling, because you know you're sitting there and you're watching everyone else. Who doesn't look like you getting their hair done and there's no issues and everyone's so happy and then you're sitting there and you're just kind of like okay cool either either you know you lucked up and you have someone with you who can do it for you Or you're trying to do it yourself and it just it, doesn't feel the same, and you can Loki tell and what makes it like suck even more is like you can Loki tell that. No one cares like no one cares that you know that. There'S such a a contrast in how two different people are being treated when they're here to do the same job. So I guess, like that's the the moral of the story. I guess at the point that I was trying to get across like it's well, that was 2019, but it's 2020. It'S like it should not be as big of a problem, as I know that it still is, and that wasn't the first time that I've had a like I've been on set for a brand, and someone had someone else had to do my makeup. I mean my hair um, the other stylist who did it is not as known I mean she's like I can't say he's not as knowing, because maybe he is he just doesn't have as many. You know social media followers, but he doesn't have as many social media followers when I was on his Instagram page, like he wasn't doing like Kylie Jenner hair. You know, I don't know just insert big celebrity names there, but at least he didn't look like a deer. In headlights, when he was doing my hair, so you know there there are people out there. I need one brand to hire those people. People like you, can go through their page and you can see okay, so they can do this type of hair. They can do that type of hair. They can do more than just you know straight back ponytails, that's who you should be hiring and for these hair stylists like I need you to be able to do more than just a ponytail. Don'T say that you can install wigs if that's how you install ways: okay do better want better, so that is pretty much it for this video. I hope you enjoyed this little story. Time get ready with me. You got to ease my way back into doing this. I hope it was interesting to hear about go ahead and wrap it up so make sure to thumbs up comment subscribe down below. Thank you all for watching. I will see you in the next one. You

XOXO Virgin Hair: I am LIVID for you Not only was that your investment with us, that was ours too , brands need to fully vet for industry professionals who have THE RANGE when it comes to hair, wigs included!

Oonagh72: 15 year olds on YouTube can install 35$ synthetic wigs flawlessly. This is ridiculous!!! These are the stories that sparked Beverly Johnson, and Iman to start their own companies.

j's audios: People should not be able to call themselves hairstylists if they cannot handle EVERY hair variety. And, people should not be able to call themselves MUAs if they cannot work with EVERY skin variety.

doll parts: I'm a white cosmetologist/MUA. I did my schooling in a small, rural, almost completely white town. We learned NOTHING about doing textured hair or makeup. Nothing. It bothered me so much. I didnt want to call myself a cos/mua if I couldn't make ALL skintones and hair textures look good. I paid a lot of money to take classes and courses so I could learn and perfect my craft. And anyone reading this thinking of going to school for this stuff...GET EDUCATED. That money and time will come back to you ten fold when you are GOOD at your craft. Do your homework. Your clients are family and you need to give them your time and great skills so they leave feeling and looking flawless. That is YOUR JOB as a stylist. This sort of thing should NEVER happen in 2020. Come on ppl. I'm so sorry this happened to you. GOOD FOR YOU FOR SPEAKING UP!!

Erica Anderson: I am a former NBA cheerleader and have mastered doing my own glam for this very reason!!!!

Milene: Basically hire more black and Latino stylist!!!!

Najalah Hughes: This just irk my soul! Reminds me of these “braiders” that want your hair wash, trimmed, pressed, oiled, not a kink in sight to with the braiding hair. Expect you to give them $300 for a &40 service. How can you feel comfortable calling yourself a hairstylist but can’t do ALL types of hair. Plus you would think brands would hired professional who work with or look like the clients they are hiring‍♀️

N B: As a black model I’ve had my natural hair damaged with heat to the point of having to shave my head and start over, weaves that made my scalp bleed, and because of those things I refuse to do a wig shoot without thoroughly vetting the stylist, with recommendations and opinions of past black clients. It sucks because being black women, AND a model in a male dominated industry, you can’t just get up, I can’t tell them their doing it wrong, u can’t even complain if it hurts, because then your aggressive hard to work with and unprofessional.... u just have to sit and bear it honestly. Shit sucks.

chocolatenbeautiful: It’s absolutely no excuse for a celebrity stylist to mess up a wig. Everyone is wearing them in 2020 so he needs to tighten up his skills. I’m no expert, but I won’t have my wigs looking crazy. Sorry that happened to you.

Dani O: That is awful. I'm so glad that they replaced the wig. Did you have permanent damage to your hairline?

Nello Hope: As a fellow tender-headed person, my scalp literally seized up when you said that they forced 60+ bobby pins in your head. Once I saw the photos that you inserted of that hair stylist's clients instant, I got red flags.

cereyza: I know you said you didn't want to spread drama but you deserved to drag their name through the mud. GLUED??? TO YOUR HAIRLINE????? hell no.

Shelter Two: When working with black models, brands should either hire stylists who have experience working with all hair types or ones that work exclusively with black hair. I don’t understand why they couldn’t have looked over their team’s credentials a little harder before bringing them on board. I was a stylist for 10 years & anytime I was faced with a challenge I wasn’t equipped to take on, I politely informed the client that I wasn’t experienced enough to meet their needs & passed them onto stylists who were. There’s nothing wrong with knowing your limitations & it’s best to just be honest, but some people are too stubborn to admit when they’re out of their lane. I can’t believe they glued that wig to your hairline

Ami: A Youtuber actually calling out these bad celeb hairstylist? Yes please.

MakeupQueenRoo: I can’t believe you went through that and that black girls are still going thru that in this day and age in the industry. That’s so crazy to me. If he didn’t know how to do black hair (which clearly he didn’t ) then he should have just said so OMG!! I’m glad your hair was ruined and you’re better than me because I would gone off okay

Deescorpio84: I checked his Instagram. Sis.... there is not one black, mixed, or Latino person on his page. There is no way I would've allowed him to do my hair.

Bee Stokes Styling: It's because of these reasons that I want to move my business into more print work. I specialize in natural hair and extensions and I also do makeup

Too Much Mouth: If you notice my makeup in the thumbnail ... I’ll tell that story at another time lol

Briana LaShawn: Chiiiil’, I would’ve stopped them at the two bobby pins. I legit would’ve told them they didn’t know what they were doing and done it myself.

Kyla with a h.: You were better than me chiiiiiile because each one of those bobby pins would have been stabbed back at them “stylists” and then I want a $100 reimbursement for every bobby pin I counted for my emotional distress.

peets96: It’s 2020 and these supposed stylists still walking around with those limited skills?! The brand wasted their money on him. Smh.

Lex Flavelle: I have alopecia and have been wearing wigs for a while now. Dude gave you such a crusty hairline smdh he made that $800 wig look cheap. Sorry this happened to you love

MayaEJa'Nae Jo: I need you and eloho to do a collab video. She talked about how she got her start into makeup and being a black model.

Linda Carrasco: If they gonna hire black models then they must hire hair stylist that work with 4c type hair . These hair stylist don’t know what to do with any hair ‍♀️

Chrissy b: Before the ghost glue. When I would have saw the bobby pin "method" I would have been like "yeah imma head out".

Tori Uptown: we gotta speak up when it comes to our fair and body. if something is wrong, speak up! let the NY come out

Akijah Monae: My response “Get the Gat ,Get the Gat, Get the Gat”

inmyownheadspace: I was told by a black girl who worked at a mostly white salon that in the beauty schools they don’t teach them how to do black people’s hair and I feel like that’s sad and wrong. You can’t call yourself a hairstylist if you can’t do all types and textures of hair. Same thing with black people having to bring their own makeup and do their own makeup at shoots. Shouldn’t be happening.

Anna: This wig hair line is nice. I’m not even surprised. When need hairdressers for hair types not who’s the most famous. A lot of white hairdressers cannot do black hair but black hairdressers will have the range. I’m sad but not surprised

CaNdYlOiD: Bring your own hairstylist this is ridiculous!!! I hated this for you!! I’m made your manager had to do the job the “celebrity” hairstylist couldn’t and has the audacity to feel some type of way because they damaged your wig and potentially your actual hair had they got their hands on it

Nik-at-Nite: I’ve had a “celebrity stylist” do a sew-in on my hair and it left me with a bald spot after I told her the braids were too tight. Come to find out she sewed the end of about 3-4 tracks to the root of one braid smh

Lizzi Akemi: I am so sorry you went through this!! Honestly I think brands have a responsibility to not only be inclusive of their models but also ensure that the people working with them know how tf to style a diverse range of people and hair types and skin tones I would have cussed everyone out so kudos to you for being so professional in how you handled it

Elle Mack: You must be your own advocate people! We have to stop being quiet while we're disrespected in attempt not to "go off". Uh. No ma'am.

JoAnna Johnson: NeiceyPoo I can't comment constructively this time. You gotta wait until my pressure goes down. I've got just as much hair as you do and the fact that ANYBODY would A, put 60 darn bobby pins in a wig and B, put ghost bond glue anywhere near your beautiful hair, I'm ready to fight. I've been doing hair for over 30 plus years and I'm sick of people giving themselves titles they can't fulfill. I wanna fight! Let me go sit my old butt down and put my Arnold fist up.

Shalia Lincoln: They need to get Tokyo or Arrogant Tae to slay the wigs next time.

Pearl Winters: That’s absolutely horrible I’m so sorry that happened to you. There’s also something you should factor in is that when you go to school to be a cosmetologist they don’t even teach you how to do women of colors hair. They only teach you how to do straight hair. I paid $15,000 to learn how to do hair and makeup but I only get to learn how to do straight hair only. It’s total bullshit and I think they should change it to be all inclusive.

Jessica Desire: “Dont let that New York come out” Girl! I have to tell myself that whenever I fly out to other parts of the country. I cant deallll

Deezie 617: We all about the wigs this week huh?? Yeah I don’t wear wigs but I’d be mad if someone messed up my $800 wig.... wait I wouldn’t be buying an $800 wig lol tfs

JeNean McNear: Oh my gosh. The horror. I would have went off. Their would not have been a single pic of me because the cops would have been called by how many alarms I would have sounded off. May god bless your soul for being so professional and handling it so well.

Hi Im Liv: Girl why didn’t you let the New York come out?! Just Absolutely not, and it sounds like you lost out on this being a great experience because the brand had less options for usable pictures‍♀️ my goodness! Annnd the stylist didn’t even install the wig the first time, the assistants did. Sis , the assistants not doing Kylie hair.

Tashiana Dancer: It’s like they couldn’t look at the THOUSAND of videos on YouTube on how to properly install and secure a wig on a WOC, this is just pure laziness and ignorance.

Lindsey Gilbert: as a model of color, this happens to me all the time and its sad. You are not a pro mua/hairstlylist if you cant do all skin types and skin tones. periodt

Satirical / Sartorial: Damn that is unfortunately. Can't wait to see more Black and brown experts employed to do hair and makeup etc. "You can't put no blue lights on a Black girl, ya don't know what ya doin'" - Beyonce

Maze: Oh no they really had you out there looking like Doja Cat....

Gaghan Hamer: When I was fostering my nieces people told me to do some crazy stuff to their hair. I knew nothing about Black hair but I felt the advice was wrong. Thankfully, I had some great friends that were willing to teach me to braid and about hair care. If I can learn about proper hair can certainly a professional should be able to develop these skills.

Rolf Kaniini: I can’t stop thinking about your scalp being poked with the pins and pulled on by stylists! That sounds so painful! Gah! My skin is crawling!

Trini Dede: Me: I wonder what they said when they saw she got all that hair Them to Shanygne: Why do you wear wigs then story of my life too girl lol

Gaetana Dixon: I'm so sorry that happen to you. I understand. I once did a music video and because the MUA was late, as soon as she finished I had to go right to set without looking. When my scene wrapped I went to the bathroom and seen this woman put lightskin makeup on me!! I looked like a dead vampire. I washed my face in the bathroom sink. The director got mad because I had another scene. I showed them I had my foundation and other products and everything was fixed. They cut the whole scene out where I was looking like MJ lol

Sherrice Perry: Great video! I think it is important for people to hear these stories because soooo many people mistakenly think matters around race and equity are no longer at issue, but they exist and are real!!! Do better, we demand better!

GiftedSince92 GiftedSince92: Great video sis! That wasn't a good experience. I'm glad you spoke up for yourself. I HATE glue for sewn in wigs and weaves. I never used it. I feel like the people tried to run you over and didn't care. The service wasn't good. You're GORGEOUS and I like learning how things work when it comes to getting my hair done. I enjoyed this video. Keep up the great work!

DomO Jackson-Grant: SorrY you had to go through that! Are they refunding you for the wig that was damaged? Cuz they need to

radical_gryff: I worked in theatre on the wig team for years. I would have been FIRED ON THE SPOT if I did that.

Michele Matthews: I don't think I would've been able to sit through that quietly, let alone make it through the whole day ‍♀️

Ms. Mommie: Chile at 6:38 my face literally went cause I knew it was gonna tear all the lace. This is such a disgusting story. It's sad how so many ppl are so called "professional' this or that but aren't educated to claim such. I get headaches easily and all those pins would have been a hell NO cause I would have ended up with a migraine.

Tommy Wiseau: I've never worn a wig before so I'm not quite sure how this works, but 60 Bobby pins sounds excessive.

Rae Springer: I am so mad for you I actually had a similar experience but at least I was just chilling you had a whole photoshoot. They would have had to fight me and cudos to your manager you got a good one.

Moony Iliyassou: 60 BOBBBY PINS?!? NAHHHHHHH

Simulation One: Very shady very unprofessional after peeping the IG I would have requested someone else or left! If you don’t have black people in your portfolio I’m not supporting periodt!

Kimmeney R: Yeah i scoped out his page ‍♀️ he not about this life how do u call yourself a hair stylist much less celebrity stylist and not be able to work with ethnic hair?

BJ Jackson: I am sorry for your experience but yes it is still happening in this day and it is a shame. I am so proud you let your manager handle it and kept it professional. That way they can't shift the blame to you. Because that is how they usually spin the situation.

JuicyCurls: Your so professional I love the way u explained your experience without being disrespectful!

Raven Smith-Parris: OMG! OMG! OMG! The way I yelled during this quarantine, my family thought I was in trouble. So it never crossed their minds after booking you to ensure that the stylist has experience with hair of color?!! Like when he discussed his plan for your hair..he mentioned pins, glue, a wing and a prayer and they all got up from the table?!! As far as the comment about wearing wigs when you have a healthy head of hair , excuse me?!! I’m happy that you were able to advocate for yourself and that you have a supportive manager who was there for you. This was a fail on the brands end. Do better!

Tiffany Bell: Love this storytime! Thanks!

Oonagh72: I don’t know Jack about installing a wig, and even I know you don’t do this.

Courtney Wheat: I remember the 1st time I used ghost bond I damn near glued my phone to my hand

MissPopeyes22: I would blame the brand. They should have hired a hairstylist who knew how to install a wig for you

Petrona Laing: I always love your story times

Paige Faith: That’s outrageous that they would put you through that and damage your wig too

Shi: why did you let this white man do this to you this is madness

lshardy1up: What's crazy is they should spend that money on the professional black stylists because there are plenty and there are a few who are celebrity stylists too so they need to stop playing like they don't know where to find them.

psr076: 60 Bobby pins ?? Wow I don’t wear wigs but I know this is not normal. Why can they hire people who can deal with different hair. I hairstylist should be able to do all hair... So sorry it happened to you.

dummysick _: That is unprofessional when the hair stylist is not able to do whole range of installs and hair types.. fr he shouldnt say/advertise himself being able to do different types of hair smh

prettydollxo: Yasss i live for a good story time. Spill the tea and sugar sis lol. Notification #gangGang!!!

Ashley Gary: Nope! I would of pulled up a lace front tutorial in a heartbeat!!! Here follow the instructions

OlenaRosanne: OMG what a nightmare!!! It's a shame you hadd to go through all of that. That dang glue and all those bobby pins!! Thank God for your manager sis! Whew ...this story had my blood boiling for you....

Natural Since Birth: I model, AND I've done MUA assistant. So I've been on both sides. If he would have asked me to start pinning down dat wig? Like SIR! YOU'RE a whole lie! Whenever I was doing modeling, no one touched my hair but me. I've worked with a MUA pro (25+ years) as an assistant, she did 4b/4c, wavy and straight hair all in one shoot day! You gotta know what you're doing.

Amanda: You’re a saint I could never stay so calm oh lord. I would be HOLLERING

Just Jalesa: Hearing about situations like this happening always piss me off so much. If you can not come on set and properly style any and all clients you may service you are not a a pro artist imo. If you can’t work with any and all hair types from bone straight to 4c natural hair you are not a pro hair stylist in my eyes‍♀️ it’s 2020 and there should not be instances of black models/talent having to style their own hair or having to bring someone else that is not being paid on set or having to bring their own complexion products or completely do their full face to avoid looking a hot mess due to lack of knowledge or experience working with black hair types or makeup application on deeper skin tones, especially when an “artist” is being paid and on set to do that. If some people don’t have anything else they damn sure got the audacity‍♀️

Darci Jones: It is ok to tell someone they are doing it wrong

Ariana B: You’re so pretty. Love your skin

Merakilove21: One of them should've opened YouTube and watch a tutorial!!

Regina A: lol there is absolutely not one black Person or even mixed person on his page smh

Patricia Graham: Hello Sis I totally get you I've been redheaded all my life I love wigs but braids and weaves I can't do. I've had extension a few times them tight ass braids aren't for me then when all that glue with lace wigs started I"m too seasoned too be trying to do all that. So I totally understand stand. Enjoy your channel

Darla Devi: You’re so nice to not say their name. We have come to far for hairstylist to not know how to do our hair or installments

RealityCheck1993: I wanted to CRYYY when you said bobby pins. I'm actually emotional. Sue him for the wig and the counseling you'll need to trust anyone of authority again.

Nikki Amor: I’m still learning how to make and installing wigs but I know I knowwwwww your not supposed to be doing that sis

BRI: When you said he said "pin it down" I literally almost fell out of my chair in shock.

M. Jenkins: I had to take a minute when you said she used ghost bind glue on my hair. I would have lost it

kt w: You are so fricking pretty!! And your complextion is everything

MegaCassie83: Some people don't know how to manage or style Black women or men's hair. I've had this issue with my son and I cut it myself now.

ImTotallySummer: No they need to be called out and named this shouldn’t have happened and they need to learn a lesson

Nub1anPrincess: First of all request that someone knows how to do ethnic hair and all skintone of makeup from the beginning PERIODT!!!!!! That should be a requirement for you to work with a brand. Second stop protecting these half skilled hairstylist and makeup artists. He should have been blasted about his lack of knowledge, setting you up for pictures not being used. Being paid for a job he didn't do. I'm sick of hearing this is a common occurrence. Of course it is because no one handles their business properly. Uuuuuuuggggghhhh.

Chappelle101: MUA Eve! Luv her style! Absolutely Perfection!

Lidiroyal: I don’t even know what to make of this story ‍♀️ I’m sorry that happened

Kia Roane: As a former commercial print model, before social media existed, and you could expose and cancel people, this was my literal life. Child they never had my shade. Didn’t have any hair products for my hair. Lighting would blow out my skin tone, it was just on-going foolishness. And don’t speak up or complain about, bc you would be labeled difficult to work with. I see things haven’t changed much.

Kelleytina Williams: They messed it up just throw the whole wig and hairstylist team out atp that’s just wrong

Ruby Reduxx: How awful I feel like a professionals first job is to make the model/ client feel comfortable and confident, just imagining them sticking that many bobby pins into your scalp like that makes me flinch. They should either hire brown/ black women that know what they’re doing or they shoulda let you install ya self the night before Afro/ curly hair doesn’t mean you have to ruffhouse it to get it to lay/ do what you want with it, in fact these stylist need to be more careful because it’s so delicate, thank god there was no permanent damage.

Mauri Zee: Not only that there's not enough people behind the scenes with experience working on black hair. Celebs use soooo many edits in their photos to where you can't tell if the stylist done a good job or not.

mel: If it’s that glen guy then yea, I can look at his “work” and tell he don’t know what he’s doing. Those messy/frizzy ponytails ‍♀️

100% PURE SILK: I always put my hair into two braids and pin them with bobby pins...my wig is never bulky lmfao I don’t secure the WIG with bobby pins that’s fucking crazy
