Hey guys welcome back to my channel and if you're new, hey girl today we're going to be doing a wig install and we're going to be talking, shot and just getting into some things. So this wig is from elfin hair and i'm so excited because i've always wanted to try a unit from them. They sent me over a 4x4 hd lace. This is a really wide 4x4 by the way uh water wave closure, wig, 24 inches. It'S really long. For 24 inches and 250 density, okay, she's thick honey, she's thick liking. The first thing i always do is cut the tabs off the side of the lace for closures. It just makes it lay down real nice and clean. It gives it a frontal aesthetic. Then i go in with my the bougie hair supply and i use my skin protectant and i'm just sizing up where i should lay this wig down. I do have a line of demarcation that is getting lighter and lighter um. I burn my skin. You guys from another um lace glue, but it's okay, because it's getting lighter and it's healing. So it's all good. So i just use my chestnut um lippy lip liner just to make little lines. So i see where i'm laying my lace. The line on my forehead is where i typically lay my lace, but i'm gon na just lay it just slightly above that, so that the skin right there can breathe, and i'm going in with the bougie hair supply glue and i'm gon na do about three layers Of this glue, this glue is fairly new to me. I think this is like my second or third time using the glue and it does have a very thin watery consistency which is new for me, but it dries very very quickly. So you don't have to wait in between each layer and you really don't need a blow dryer so yeah, so you guys um, while i'm sitting here doing my hair and doing my makeup uh. Clearly this is a voice over. So i just figured like you know. Let'S just get into some things: okay, shout out to nicki minaj, oh, that was actually me slipping on some tea. Let'S address the elephant in the room where the hell have i been. I just feel like. I don't know if i'm being dramatic, but i just feel like for the past two years. I'Ve been real in and out, but more so out, um, especially on youtube. Like i just haven't. I just i haven't been consistent at all. It'S just been a lot of things. It'S been a lot of things. You guys know my channel took off in 2019. I think it was 2019 2018 or 2019, but it took off with client tutorials and i had a boom. I had a surge. I was getting all these views all of these uh subscribers and followers. It was great and you know what i mean i just felt like. I made it a thing for makeup artists who look like me and have clients that look like my clients to not get keep so much and to share and to show and to teach and to learn. Like you know what i mean. That'S my vibe. That'S what i'm all about, and so i open up the eyes for other people, and you know it became a thing and it was really great for our community and i was so happy to see other people creating the same type of content that i was creating. Like it was, it was so cool. It was so great. I decided that i was going to launch my brand that i had kind of just been sitting on and working on since 2018, but in 2019 i'm, like you, know what now's the time i'm gon na do it so launch my brand. It just took off immediately it took off so much so that i was like okay, i'm just gon na go ahead and drop out of i'ma just drop out of school, because school will always be there, but i'm just like this opportunity. It won't i'm gon na part out where my baby hairs are gon na, be so yeah. Everything is pretty self-explanatory and i'm going to um put my beans on yeah, so i was really focused on my business for 2019. I did. I was still coming and doing the client tutorials, i was still was still posting actively, but um by the time 2020 came around. It just was too much for me to just do both, and so i slowly backed away from youtube. Also, like my love and desire for it, it just kind of it was like it just wasn't there the same way um, i didn't realize it at the time. I self-reflected a lot at the end of last year and this year, but i didn't realize it but um. You know when you're doing like when you're posting, like viral content and content, that's getting hundreds and thousands or even millions of views and thousands of comments. Um, not every comment is gon na be positive and it really it it really. I just started to get like a lot of anxiety about posting it. It was. It went from just being this fun thing to um. If you noticed on my channel, i never did like. I never really. I didn't do a lot of there's like a couple sponsored videos, but i never did a lot of sponsored videos. It just wasn't about that. For me, like it was just about me coming and doing my tutorials teaching what i know doing what i love having fun - and i said, but like all of the like negative comments. Kind of like took that away from me, and i just got very anxious about the thought of posting, so that contributed me on top of being busy and that it kind of contributed to me like kind of taking a step back and just you know saying, like Not too much not too much but back into the install, so she's melted, okay, she's, definitely melted, i'm just going in with my hot comb to kind of just like press and flatten everything out. So i did a hair, video and somebody commented and was like. I don't understand why y'all um hot comb press out the top of a curly unit, and it's just like. Okay. First of all, we all know it's a wig right. I feel like when i do my wigs. I want it to look like a real, flawless sew-in. At the end of the day, we know that this hair is not coming out of my scalp. It'S just we're creating the illusion when we're installed installing like a closure or a frontal, but the illusion i'm trying to create yeah like i wanted to look like it's coming on. My scalp coming out of my scalp, but i just wanted to give like good sew in right, like it's just leave out, so we all know when we was, everybody was getting sewage if you was getting a curly or wavy sew-in. The stylist was pressing out your leave out to blend it into the rest of the hair, because we know that our hair is not deep, curly or indie and loose wave come out of my scalp like beefaro, so that's all i was doing. I was just pressing out the top so that it's like nice and flat and looks good. So i'm just using like these thinning shears to just go and cut my lace. But then i wasn't feeling that so i just went in with like an eyebrow razor just to do like a jacket cut across nothing new. You guys it looks kind of scary, but you just want to pull the lace away from you and just do jacket cut. So that it's like nice and rugged, and so that you don't have a straight line just going across, i feel like low-key. Sometimes it still be given like straight line, especially when it's a closure like it's still be giving a straight line. But if your laces melted really well, it's it's still not clockable and then i'm just going in sometimes like it'd, be hair under the lace. When you go down, so i'm just going to pull that out and then i'm just going to cut any extra leaves that i don't need, but yeah back to that back to the youtube stuff. That'S basically it in a nutshell, and then i just you know, got really busy with the business, but that was 2020. I posted a couple of videos from 2020 and then 2021. I posted some makeup videos and i actually like hated them all like. I just hated them. I hated the makeup. I hated the quality of the videos. I just hated everything, so that was that, and so i was just like yeah girl, like it's just not really giving you know what it is when nobody really. I don't. Let me not say nobody talks about but like as a creative, when you're going through like anxiety and depression, you kind of like suck at your craft, so that was that last year um, but that's basically, where i've been in a nutshell, um. I took the first half of this year to just kind of like sit down and rest my mind and my body and just get back to what i want to do and who i want to be, and so now i'm back. I think i feel like i came back like a couple of times to fix, say like oh yeah, i'm back you guys, i'm going to be posting content. That was a lie. The lie detector determined that was a lie um, but i truly feel like i do mean that now and i genuinely am interested in like creating content and being good at it and caring about it and investing in my equipment and my lighting and my camera equipment. Like these are things that i've just never really done, and i just want to be that girl like it's something that i'm genuinely interested in, that i genuinely want to do so. We'Re gon na hop back in to the wig i'm going in with we're still using the bougie supply. So i'm going in with her melting spray and i'm going to use that to spray on the lace. And then i also used it on the edges. To kind of push the edges back again, we're going for like that flawless sew-in. Look! The elastic man popped me in my lip, but yeah i'm just going to take that elastic band and i'm going to wrap that around. Take some pictures, because why not um and i let that sit for maybe 10 minutes, not too long y'all like i didn't let it sit for too long and the instructions on the bottle for these products. It says to let like the glue, sit for five minutes and then you spray the spray and like that's it for five minutes. So i don't really let um it sit too long under the elastic band, because the stylus who created the product she says five minutes. So, like i really don't exceed 15., so what i'm doing now, i'm just gon na pull out my baby hairs, i'm gon na just like part it. So i wanted my bit my install to look like i went to the shop to get my hair done and all the stylus, especially when it's like a closure install. They all do like the same, like two swoops on the side, which i really used to actually hate, but i'm, like you, know what i kind of like it now, so i want to do it and i want it because i want to look like i wanted To look like somebody like slayed by or um laced by dresses by hair by you know, i wanted to give that vibe. So yeah i'm just parting out my like, i guess it's like a c or u shape, and then i'm gon na hot comb, the um edges down, so that they are like you know, laying down flat so when we go down to swoop them. It'S already like conformed to be flat on my forehead. I'M gon na go in with my same eyebrow razor and just jaggedly cut the baby hairs, and then you know the drill we're gon na do the small little curls. I i haven't used this gel in a long time, but the products that i use for my baby hairs. I ran out so it's like kind of low-key hard for me to like do my edges. I don't know it's it's she. It'S not easy. It'S giving curtains! It'S it's getting drapes also, i want to add, obviously i um bleached, my knots off camera and i over bleach them, but that's okay, because it's a quite an easy fix honestly, especially if the over bleaching is in the area where your part is all i'm doing. Is parting out the the middle and i'm removing any extra hairs that i don't need, and i just literally rip the hairs out from the root and i'm just going to take a really light concealer and i'm just going to use an angled concealer brush to fill. My part in something else that the hairstylist do it really it's something that i never used to do, but i feel like it definitely gives the hair a professional touch, i'm going in with this black spray. This is literally my second time ever using a black spray and it's freaking terrifying, like it's, no joke, it's it's freaking scary, but i like the results, so i'm gon na keep doing it. I feel like it gives it a real, clean vibe. This is nothing new, but i just never um. I was always scared to do it. Okay, and this is the hair in its natural state, there's no product in it and clearly it's been like you know, i brushed it combed it out everything like that, but yeah. This is the hair in this natural state. I really love how thick and full and soft and delicious the hair is no cap. This is just me doing. My y'all got to do y'all front when y'all doing y'all. Here you have to do the front camera check to make sure that it's really giving because that front camera will humble you, okay, i wet one side of the hair and uh with some just some water, and i put some product in it and i'm just going In with this is the got to be brand, but not that yellow cannot too much on that yellow can and i'm just using that to mold the front. So i kind of have like that. You know bent. I don't know what it is, but it's a thing that we do when we do our hair again, just emulating that sewing look to push the the brush back with the hair coming down over come on now it just looked good. If ain't broke, don't fix it. So that's all i'm doing, and this braid does help to give the hair like a nice shine. That'S why i prefer it over the yellow. Can we don't want? No ashy builds up, that's nasty, don't want that and so yeah, i'm just gon na wet the other side, and i don't wet the hair all the way through. You don't have to wet the hair. All the way through you just have to get it mo, like maybe like 70 percent wet and i'm just going to take like a detangling brush and brush the hair out. No tangles either love that for me, then i'm going to go in with this nairobi. Moisturizing um, it's like a daily like moisturizer. I really do this is my favorite product to use on my curly and wavy units, especially if you're somewhere that's hot and humid 10 out of 10. It works so well and i'm gon na use that product throughout the hair. I even put it on the top of the hair that i pressed out with the hot comb and what you always want to do. Is you want to punch that hair actually with like wavy protection, um and force that wave, because it's a loose it's a loose wave right, so you kind of want to enforce it so that it's showing up more then i'm going to take my ion brilliant shine. Spray don't be afraid to use products in your wigs and weave you guys, like it's just going to make the hair look better, so i'm using my shine spray. This is what the hair looks like so pretty and for everybody curious, that's how much hair i plucked from the closure and so we're going to get into the makeup we're going to get into the makeup. I had an ugly brow day this day, but that's neither here nor there. Let'S talk about back to, like you, know, the youtube, the topic of youtube and i'm just going to segue into the next topic, which is i kind of like quitting youtube, because i never really, i guess, officially quit youtube but you've seen how i take like these Big significant breaks um, i kind of fell out of love with youtube, and i also like didn't really want to didn't really know what i wanted to do with my platform, anymore um. Even if you're not a youtuber and you're, just somebody who watches youtube. You notice how people, sometimes you kind of, have to like change with the times and just because, like one thing was working for you in the past, doesn't mean that you're always going to be successful with the same type of content and, like i looked up this Year, one day and i saw like i had 250 000 subscribers and i'm just like whoa hello - this is kiki from the future. In my nightgown editing this video, i forgot to say that i ended up finishing doing the majority of my makeup on live on. Instagram live so i'm just gon na add some snippets in from my live and then we'll get back in that, like people are always gon na ask for glitter people, it's always going to be used on stage or for for this or for that we're using different Things to be creative now i, like i love that i like new stuff, like i don't know so, i'm using i use champ, looks like this. So champ it's like she's, like a dark brown but she's, also kind of maroon, like sure, sees me and my clients a lot, i'm 20 and 2021 like when hairstylists be like you know when they were like doing their virtual classes. I was, i wasn't in classes. Okay, y'all, we are back from the commercial break and honestly i was just doing my makeup to complete the look. I was just on my makeup to complete the look. You know give the vibe, so we could really get into it. You know what i'm saying and i was trying out new skin products. I was using charlotte till chartel. That'S what i i don't know i nicknamed her. Is that wrong? Char too, i just like how it sounds. I'M using the chartel, beautiful skin foundation and i'm using the dior concealer. These are my first time uh using these products trying these products out so yeah. I don't even think. Oh, you know what i ended up doing finishing my face up on live and i didn't record it sorry, but this is the finished. Look we're gon na add a little bit of gloss because i just love layers of gloss. My nose was like running from the makeup, but this is the final look. This is the hair. You guys, please the hair, eight, the lace 8, the texture. This is my new favorite texture. Okay, it's been a few days. I ain't brushed my hair. I don't work that out and sweat it out and been fried in the sun. Okay, so we're going to refresh our hair and we're going to do another makeup. Look, you know what i'm saying i just feel like. I deserved. I just deserved another makeup. Look the first thing i'm going to do, though, is uh spray, the hair down with water same thing. We did before same thing. We did a couple of days ago, spray the hair down, hit it with that nairobi, because that narrow is going to bring the hair back. Okay, she's, going to moisturize, okay, so we're gon na just you know, do my thing but um yeah. I just i'm glad that i took the time to sit down and figure out what it is that i wanted to do what type of content i want to create. What i feel comfortable with creating and like what's gon na like make me feel happy going in with the varsity palette, which is on sale. It'S 19 get your one, get your two and get your three okay, so i'm just showing you the colors that i'm gon na be using, and this was a freestyle look. I had no idea what i was doing literally. I just picked up the palette randomly picked. Some colors and said: okay: this is what we're gon na do. This is what we're going to do and spoiler alert. The eyes is inspired by butterfly. So, if you're still here we're 25 minutes in if you're still here leave a butterfly emoji. Let me see, but um, i'm literally you guys it's just so random. First of all, i haven't really done, looks on myself like this in over a year honestly. Longer than that, i did a look, i think like at the end of 2020, but it was just like random. It wasn't like i really sat down and was like yeah i'm about to eat this up, like i did it standing up in my bathroom real quick. I haven't really sat down to like really do my makeup in like two three years like to do a look. It'S been a minute. It'S been a minute okay, so we just going with the flow i'm just doing whatever i'm just creating as i go. Okay, i hope you enjoy watching, as i you know just talk. I just wanted to feel like we're just in the same room, we'll be chilling and we talking. I hope it feels that way if the video feels chaotic. I'M sorry, that's just me. I'M kind of like chaotic in a way but yeah, i don't know what i want to talk about next. I know what i want to talk about next. Another reason why i kind of disappeared from social media. It'S like feeling insecure over, like gaining weight over the years like, and the band zemic that helped with the with the weight gain, because guys. So i was cooking and eating everything and, like i just put on so much weight within the last like two years for multiple reasons, and it just made me feel like so insecure, like my face got bigger. My face. Did slim down, like my face, is a bit slimmer than what it was um last year, but, like my face, got bigger, my arms are bigger, like my whole body is just bigger, and i just wasn't comfortable like being on camera or like taking pictures like it's. Just like you know, i felt very insecure but honestly seeing like curvy creators um on tick tock and on instagram and even on youtube like it actually helped me feel more confident in the body that i am in, and it just made me feel like girl. It'S just not that serious like it's just not that serious. You do not have to hide because you gain some weight. You know what i'm saying but yeah, i'm using the p louise um cosmetic base. I think it's called. I don't even know what color this is. It'S kind of like a yellowish color, but then i ended up mixing in the blank canvas with it, because when you first get these bases they're like they're, more they're they're, not is okay. What i like to do with the bases is leave them uncapped, so that oxygen can hit it and it gets a little thicker because it helps it. It just makes it um easier for me to work with so the yellow was freshly opened. It was just too loose for me, so i had to add something canvas to it, so that i could really like get into it and carve my eye out. It'S super super hard for me to cut my crease because, as i've gotten older um, my eyes are becoming more hooded, eyelid surgery, i'm coming for you, okay, speaking of eyelid surgery. How do you feel like how do you feel about um cosmetic procedures? So i have been getting lip fillers since 2018, but nobody really noticed um until now. Nobody started noticing until last year, which is the last time i went and i feel like that's because it made the most difference and that's when people like kind of started to notice. But i've been doing this since 2018. It'S something that i would talk about doing to my well, my co-workers. That'S before, like 2015 and 2016, i will always say to my my co-workers, like i'm i'm, i can't wait to like it lipsticks i'm gon na get lip fillers. I don't know why. I didn't do it like, then i waited until i was a bit older to do it, but how do i feel about lip fillers? I feel like now it's something like so normalized that people feel super comfortable with just asking me flat out and i'm just like. Damn dude i mean my mouth, don't look natural, so i was like i used to kind of be insecure about it. Like, oh, my god, like i never want somebody to ask me like. Oh, do i have lip filler, because that means like it's a dead giveaway and i realize it's not a dead giveaway. They just look good. They look pouty um, especially when i have makeup on and um it's just something that if you've been like seeing me on social media over the years, then you know that my mouth looks bigger so, but in real life like i've, surprised my clients and everything when I'M like oh girl, yeah. I got lip filler and they're like oh, my god. It looks so natural, so you can get lip filler and it doesn't have to look crazy. It doesn't have to look crazy and the first time i had my consultation. I actually wanted to like get rid of my cupid's bow, because my cupid's bow has always been like really really defined and um. The doctor talked me out of it and instead we just emphasized it, and i was just so happy. I was like looking at other people's lips and wanted like more so their shape, and i was just like no like. Let me just work with what i got and um make it better, and so, if it's something that you've been wanting to, do, i highly recommend it um and i will link down below the two places that i have gone to and the last place that i Went to was a new place that i went to and um it made all the difference for sure and if you want me to do like a separate like maybe more detailed, video about it, hey, why not? I might just vlog the next time i go because i don't want to get more stuff done like i want to get more work done. You guys, i can't believe, i'm actually sharing this with y'all, but who cares like i used to always be so worried about like being judged but, like i just i care less but like i want to get some things done, so i've had under eye filler as Well because, as you can see like my under eyes, are very deep set and it creates a shadow um that that has completely dissolved, because it's been two years like i got it once and i never went back to do it. It took two whole years for it to completely dissolve so now i'm like yeah. I definitely need to go back and get that done. I don't know i don't know y'all. I want to do some things like how do y'all feel about it. How do you feel tell me down below um? So as far as the eyes as you can see, we came a long way from when we first started with those two eyeshadows that we put on. Like i said, i was just restyling the look and just going with the flow um, and i just added my gems and when i do my gems, i just kind of like um put my glue down and i'll do small dots, because i know i'm going to Do the small gems and then, if i normally put a bigger gym there, i'll just do a bigger die of glue, and i just go from there, like i kind of just visualize in my head, how i want it to look, and i just do it that Way, i'm gon na go in with this milk hydrogen primer that i've had for years. I literally have like two or three bottles of this, because i used to send me pr and honestly like when i first started using it. I just wasn't a big fan of it, but i tried it this day and i actually did like it for foundation. I went in with the glamazon beauty foundation stick foundation and then i needed to darken it up a bit. So i went in with the born this way foundation and i believe the shade is coco. Are these foundations a perfect match? No, but in the end it actually all worked out for my under eye concealer, i'm going in with my tried and true benefit: bling concealer and i'm using the shade 10., so much product, there's so much product. On my face, i'm gon na use my real technique. Uh cheek brush to blend my foundation out as long along with my shop, miss a concealer brush and i'm just going to blend all of these products out. I'M just going to go in to blend out my concealer using that same shop miss a brush cream contour. I don't even know what i use it was random now, for my highlight, highlight i'm gon na go in with my tried and true elf, camo concealer, and this is in tan sands, and i'm going to just use my beauty blender to blend that out. I just love it like your under eye literally looks filtered with that concealer, it's so good for setting i'm going to use my huda beauty uh. I think it's kumufa kunafa setting powder and i'm going to use my beauty blender to press a good amount into my skin and then i'm going to go in afterwards and bake, of course, uh and i'm going back into the varsity palette and i'm going to use Champ, which is the same color in our crease, just to give me a quick contour. I wanted my contour to be like kind of dramatic, because the eye was dramatic and i'm like uh. Let'S do a let's do a dramatic contour. Why not? And then i'm going back into the same julius plays uh bronzing palette and i'm gon na use that to contour my nose using a shot, miss a fan brush to get a pronounced. I can't really like really contour my nose like i have a big nose right. So it's only so much contouring i could do, but i can pronounce the bridge of my nose to just like make it look more defined and just a bit more pronounced. So that's all i'm doing. I don't know what i want to talk about next y'all. Hmm, what do i want to talk about next? Let'S talk about. Maybe like my new journey, my new youtube journey. I feel like i'm going on a new journey and i'm kind of like starting over will. I still do client and um, but i still do client tutorials. I think so i think i will. I can see myself continuing that, maybe not as frequently, but i will. I would like to come and pop, and do that content i might more so we'll have to see reals and tick. Tocks are kind of like running the world as far as beauty, so i really might just conform to just keeping that content strictly in um short format on reals and tick. Tock. Honestly, as a content creator, you really just have to test the waters and see what works for you and your platform, because everybody's platform is different and there really is no real formula on what is working and what is not working. I went in with the makeup revolution. I think this is pink dolce, i'm not even quite sure, but clearly i wanted my cheeks to be really really pink. So i put a lot of that blush on and i'm going to go in with my concealer brush to melt that powder into my skin. Y'All. Don'T have to do my makeup in complete chaos like it's just no like it's like i'm doing stuff. Without it i mean there is a rhyme or reason, but it's just like so like. I just feel like it's chaotic, it's kind of like all over the place, but then, in the end, like it just all makes sense. Once i spray my face down, i'm going in with more of that huda beauty powder and i'm using a powder puff to apply that just in that first, like inner corner, just to create that nice, like airbrushed bright, look and for anybody wondering about the spray. I am working on my very own fixing slash setting spray for my new brand because i'm closing glove academy shop, the closing cell for my lip, i'm going in with this baby pink y'all. I changed my lip like three times like i thought this was going to be pretty, i mean it is pretty, but i wasn't really feeling it, but we're going to go back into the eyes. This is what i mean. I just be moving from one thing to the other, so i'm going to smoke out my inner corner and my bottom lash line, i'm using the inglot gel liner in 77 and this brush is just an old nyx brush. Actually, it's like a smudger brush, so i'm going to use that and i also went into a black eyeshadow just to set that in and i took the black eyeshadow into my waterline as well. I went in with that black eyeshadow. I used the same brush to apply champ, which is the color that's in our crease, and then i went in with almond matte, which is just like this perfect creamy dark beige, color and i'm gon na use that in my inner corner and i'm just going to Use that to meet the colors on my lower lash line together - and i like this color because it usually matches my under eye highlight perfectly so. It kind of just looks like my inner corner and under eye highlight, is just all blending in together. I love that look for gloss, i'm going to go on with globe academy's mascot, which is this beautiful light blue tone pink. I love a blue tone, pink, it's my favorite kind of pink and we're going to apply that and we're going to take it off, because i really wasn't feeling it. I went in with this mac lipstick, but then i was just like girl. Where are you going? Why did you put this look? Why did you put this lip color on with this eye? What sense did that make so i wiped that off too. I wiped that off too, and i put the blank canvas on my lips. You know that gray as she knew that the girls be doing. This is how you can get it, but i'm not going to leave mine here like this. I'M going to go into my varsity palette and i'm going to use the eyeshadow in lecture just to create an ombre look, and i also lined my lips and we added gloss at the end for just the perfect nude lip and the gloss that i'm using is Glow up academy's nvp we're gon na hit our hair with some oil sheen yet again to give us that freshly just got my hair done. Look and look at this hair. This hair is herring perfect for this season. I'M not going to comb my curls out too too much, i'm going to add my beauty marks back into my skin and we're gon na do mascara i'm. I love a lot of mascara like i'm a heavy mascara girl, so i'm gon na do mascara a couple of layers of mascara on the top and on the bottom. This is the final look. I hope you guys enjoyed be sure to check out elfin hair. All of the information on this wig and the coupon code will be listed down below bye y'all. I don't want to wipe my makeup off.
