Hairdresser Tests The Elle Hot Hair Styler... I Cant Believe This Was Ps16!!!

Hey everyone in todays video I am testing the Elle hot hair styler.. I can not believe this was £16!

I have never tried the hot styler before and I can not believe how well this worked for such a cheap product. If you are the type of person that hates styling their hair or just finds blowdrying their hair a horrible task then I would 100% recommend this product as it only took me 5-10 minutes to blow dry my hair.

Just as reminder I did buy this from b&ms in the UK and I was unable to find this product online to purchase so if you are interested in buying this then get yourself down to b&ms!

Hi everyone and welcome back to my channel so for in today's video we're going to be doing something a little bit different, so i've been doing for the past couple of like videos so in for today's video we're going to be testing out this product. So this is the magic hot air styler, with a soft touch. Matte finish - and this is just what it looks like - it is very, very similar to the revlon hot styler brush um. I actually see olivia out miss olivia, alice test that out on her channel and ever since then i've just wanted to try something very similar and obviously you guys must already know by now, but i am a fully trained hairdresser. I actually used to work in a blow dry bar in manchester city center and i'd done that for about two to three years, so i am quite familiar with the hair industry, how to style, hair and blow dry hair. So i want to see if this actually works and if these brushes are really good for what they are, so just a little bit a little bit of information regarding this product. So it's called the magic hot air styler and on the back it says one step: hair, dryer, volumizing styles and it has 1200 watts and it's got a cosmetic coating brush tangle free combination. Bristles, it's got settings which is cool low, high set high heat settings. It'S lightweight economical design and it has a 360 swivel cord and a hanging loop as well so um. I actually seen this in b m's. It was 16 pounds which i think is really good, because if this actually does give your root volume and your hair volume, then this will be good for people that i don't know how to blow dry like people like my sister, she doesn't know how to like Blow dry hair, so if you're one of those people if this works, this is gon na, be something that you're gon na be interested in. So if you are interested in watching this video, then please just keep on watching. So i'm going to open up the hot styler and i haven't actually opened this yet. As i said, i did get this from b m's in the uk, so you can pick it up from places like that, and this actual, like l range, had a few different kind of like um like hairstyling products that you could pick up. They had like a straightener, a waiver which i'm definitely wanting to try and, and they had a few other bits i think they had straighteners straightness curlers and they had something else. I can't think what else they had. Let'S open this up, so it actually comes with a booklet which is like an instructions manual. I don't think we're gon na need this, that much it comes in different languages. So that's good! So it's just the standard, don't put it on on a surface while it's hot, don't put it near your eyes. Things like that! So just to show you. This is what it looks like it's kind of like a really big brush. It isn't a round brush. It'S kind of like slim on the sides, quite thicker at the front and hopefully you can see but the actual like bristles on the brush. They kind of like a kind of like a brush that you would get on like a paddle brush, but then kind of like shorter bristles underneath hopefully you'll be able to see that, and i love the kind of like design of this, like the pink with the Um rose gold accents around here and it pretty much is kind of like a whole like cute. Look that it's got going on and compared to like the revlon one. I think that's just kind of like a black color, i believe um. So this is the actual thing itself, so at the bottom here you kind of like twist it so that's off you've got it in settings, one two and three. Obviously i'm gon na go take a shower because my hair is dry at the moment um. But let's just open it all up, i don't think anything else comes in the box, but we're gon na have a look because i just wan na see let's put that down for now. Okay, so there isn't anything else in the box, so it is literally just this item. You don't get any kind of like accessories like clips or anything like that for your hair, which is okay, so i'm gon na actually go wash my hair now and i'll be back once my hair is wet and then we'll see how this works. So i've had a shower. This is what my hair is looking like, feeling a bit more fresh and getting ready for bed, so we're gon na now use the hot styler to dry my hair, so my hair is literally just fresh out of the shower right now. I'Ve not done anything to it, literally just put it up in a towel, so it wasn't dripping down my back nice and fresh ready for bed. I'Ve even got my house coat on. Let'S get started so usually when i get out the shower and i'm doing my hair. I always spray some leave-in conditioner in my hair. This one is the milkshake um incredible milk, 12 effects, leave-in conditioner a lot of salams use, milkshake, it's a really good brand, especially for like hair care and stuff. Like that, the other thing i usually use is the olapex number six bond smoother, and this one just looks like this. This one i find tends to get a little bit greasy in my hair personally, but this one is kind of like a leave-in styling cream as well. This one smells really nice just as well just as nice as the milkshake one. I just prefer the milkshake one, because it's a little bit less greasier, my hair isn't necessarily damaged because it's quite short and i've recently had it cut, and i don't really color my hair that much. I see that wiped on two videos and clearing my hair, but um yeah. I have like a - i always have a blip moment in the year where i like go really light other than that it's pretty much dark for most of the year. So it's not in that much of a bad condition anyway, but i always recommend using a leave-in conditioner or like a heat protector. This actually has heat protector in it. There'S control heat protection, long-lasting style, incredible, detangling, magnificent shine and adds a body and volume easy as styling protects and maintains hair color bloody blood by uv rays. It has like 12 purposes, so it has heat protector in it. So yeah, let's put that down there. So i'm just going to spray this in now. I don't spray this in the roots. I always spray on the ends, because that is where we need the most protection and health, so i'm just gon na start the ends and brushes through. I absolutely love using a paddle brush on my hair when it's like wet like this i'm guessing this heat styler is gon na need tangle, free hair. That is tangle free, like that, and it's just kind of it is like slightly wet, but it is kind of it's not soaking wet. If you get what i mean, so i'm going to section this so as a hairdresser, i've always been taught to section it in free, it's a little bit easier and when you are coming to blow drying it you have to, you only have to let it down. Like each section at a time, so that'll be like my last section that i'll get i'm gon na do this in four because i feel like it might be a little bit better. So that's my next section - and this is my under section. Sorry, if you can see like loads of double chin when i'm doing this, so that is my bottom row that i'm going to do so. This is the hot styler. I'M just going to turn this, so that keeps that in one keeps that in two 33. Now that doesn't actually make sense to me, because heat set in two is a little bit slower. Hopefully you can hear that heat setting two, let's out a little bit more heat, but we'll see i'm gon na start off with heat set in one hmm. So that's two passes and that is pretty much dry and it's give it body i'm pretty impressed with that. I'D never get a curl like that. On the end, like a flick on the end in my hair, with like a normal brush, it feels really really smooth. The only thing is is that my roots don't feel that um dry, i'm gon na put onto heat setting number two now see what this one's like. So that's two passes with the number two settings they are both really smooth. I would say number two looks like it's getting a little bit tighter, but i'm gon na carry on. Obviously the hair at the the bottom is always a little bit shorter and shorter hair. So we'll just move on to our next section, i'm just going to split that into two and then i'm going to split that again like that and i'm going to go for the setting number three for this one. Now that give it a little bit more body on the longer pieces, i will definitely say like using this part of the brush, makes it a little bit easier to kind of like turn it, but i'm going to move on to the next section. At the moment. I'M pretty impressed with this. I'M not gon na lie for 16 pounds like if you're, not a big like person that is able, like, if you're, not really good at styling. Your own hair definitely recommend this, so i'm gon na take this next section. The only thing is because it's not like sliding buttons, you have to kind of turn it so i'm gon na whiz on and carry on doing the rest of my hair and then i'll come back and show you once it's finished. I am just moving on to the next section now, so i shouldn't be that much longer. So this is my hair fully dried. I'M pretty impressed. I'M not gon na say that it's the best blow dry in the world, but it has give my root a lot more volume. Personally myself, i usually always like blow dry, my hair with a um paddle brush. I don't actually fully give myself a full blow dry. Every time i dry, my hair, i usually let a dry naturally or use a paddle brush like this and kind of like go through the hair, with the paddle brush with the hair dryer on it um. But i absolutely love this. I think this brush is amazing. Um, it probably took me about i'm gon na say it took me around about five minutes to blow dry. My hair, i text my boyfriend at 10 minutes ago. I done my like intro putting my con leave-in conditioner in and that probably took up about five minutes of my time. We started blow-drying it, and this is the finished result um looking at my hair, it does definitely look smooth. There isn't much frizz in it like. I would happily go out with my hair, like this um. My like root area is, i wouldn't say it's like completely dry um, some places where i've struggled to get the brush in like down underneath feels a little bit dumb, but nothing that, like major, i'm absolutely impressed like there isn't much frizz in this. Like i said, i'd happily go out with my hair like this, and it definitely feels a lot fuller. When i do it with a paddle brush, it doesn't feel as full of the hair. This feels quite nice and full. It feels like it's been blow dried by a professional but yeah. I definitely recommend like for this being only 16.99 from b m's, i'm totally impressed. I would definitely say try something like this out, if you're a person that doesn't like styling the hair or you're, not very that good and technical with like blow drying hair or you struggle to just blow dry, your hair. This is perfect for people like that. I personally don't blow dry my own hair, but i definitely use this this product again. I really really like it now. I'Ve never tried the revlon one before, like i said in my intro, miss olivia alice has done a review on her channel, so i'll leave a link to hers down below that did. Look like it gave quite a lot of volume as well. So that is another option that you've got. I do think that ellie one is a little bit um cheaper. So if you're looking for something quite affordable, you're, not too sure if you'll be able to use something like this, but you want to give it a go. Definitely try this one out, and one thing to note. One thing i don't like about the this heat styler is that the the temperature, so when you're wanting to turn it on, you have to turn this. It'S a swizzle like turn on rather than a button, or you know like the ones where you like flick it up. It'S not got anything like that to turn on. You have to like turn the bottom of it now when you've sectioned your hair and you've. Let your wet hair touch your dry hair. You don't want to keep it there for too long, because if the damp gets onto the dry hair, that's what causes frizz personally me once i've sectioned my hair. I just want to click a button and be able to go straight away with this. You have to kind of like let your section in down, because it's quite big, like you, can't just turn this on with one hand like i'm gon na, have to use two hands. I had to let my sections down and then i'd lose like, especially when i had like one section here: i'd have to put it all down and then then do one section do another section. One thing that you could probably do to coat like to get over that and not have to let the wet hair touch your dry hair is by having another clip to clip up the dry, the wet section. But i would just prefer this to just have a button on it or a flick that i can just flick up with one hand, do you think this is really good, but again i just really wish that the um it had a button on it rather than You know the swizzle thing at the bottom, but all around the actual products itself. I definitely recommend this. I like how it's got this bit at the top to hold so when you are kind of like going round. So if you had say your section, let's get a section so say if you were like going around like that, you could hold on to that and then pull it down like that. Keep turning the brush going round going under like that, and you can see how i can just keep it moving and then that's what just creates that flick like that enough rambling, i want to rate this out a 10. I would definitely rate this like a solid 7 to 8., i'm gon na give it an 8 being nice on a harsh day. I'D give it a 7. um, but yeah overall, like this is probably something that my sister would love. This is probably something that charlotte would love because they're both not hairdressers so um. I definitely recommend giving this a go. I might even ask charlotte to give this a go on her hair extensions, because i want to see how well these like this would work on hair extensions. Obviously this is all my natural hair. Would this work on hair extensions? Give this video a thumbs up if you'd like to see charlotte review this, but that is everything for this video. I hope you guys enjoyed it remember if you did give it a big thumbs up, because that helps the youtube algorithm and make sure that you subscribe to my channel because i upload on saturdays and wednesdays, so i'm gon na be bringing you a lot more videos In the future, but i hope to see you guys in the next video remember - i am looking to do a giveaway as well, so the more subscribers that i get the more likes that i get the more likely i am to drop a giveaway. I want to make sure i can get my channel to 300 subscribers before i drop the um first giveaway that i'm ever gon na do so make sure you give this video a big thumbs up and yeah. I will see you all in the next video thanks for watching bye.
