If you've made it all the way down here, thanks for taking the time to read though all my stuff :). In case you are curious, the vast majority of what I show on my channel is purchased by me. Occasionally, I will agree to partner with certain companies who will provide me with their product for consideration. I will ALWAYS mention in the video if a product is provided to me for review. I also make sure that the company I am working with knows that I only share my honest review of their products. If I love it, I will share that. If I hate it, I will share that as well. I will also always tell you why I love or hate a product.

Thank you as always for watching and take care!

Hi guys it's Melanie, and today I have just a quick hair tutorial to show you how I get more body and more texture and just overall general volume throughout my fine thin hair, and I'm going to show you guys how I do that today, using the big Sexy hair powder play - this is a volumizing and texturising powder, and this is very easy to use. This product was sent to me through octa lee for review. So, if you're curious about what octa lee is i'm going to link a video down below where you can get more information about it? Um? But i just wanted to let you guys know that this was sent to me for free, so and I have used hair powders in the past, and I really like them, because I think for me personally with my really fine thin hair and hair powders work. The best in terms of texture and volume, I have to wash my hair every day because my hair gets really oily overnight and not oily in the way that I can wake up the next morning and just have a lot of texture and body and my hair. Just looks way down, greasy and dry. Shampoo doesn't ever really like make it look clean and I'm just not a dirty hair person. But when I wash my hair, I use really hydrating products, which then results in my hair being a little bit more flat. So these powders are a super simple way for me to get the volume, then that I want and the texture and the a little bit more of a peace, enos and they're very, very simple. So the packaging is basically just a little plastic jar that has a sifter on the top and when I blow dry my hair, so my hair is obviously completely dry right. Now I use a leave-in conditioning treatment. I will link what I use down below and then I also use a texturizing products. Both of those products are from alterna, so I will link them down below for you and then um. I blow-dry my hair upside down and I literally just blow-dry it upside down until it's completely dry flip. It up part it where I want and then I take this powder, and this is so easy. You guys, you literally just part your hair, where you want it and you sprinkle a little bit into your hair kind of like if you were using a dry shampoo that was a powder product and you're, going to start kind of massaging it into your hair and You'Re working it into your roots, to add that lift then you're going to part your hair again, and you can part it as many times as you want and again just sprinkle the product into your hair and again start massaging it in this is so easy you Guys and then typically, I like to do one more section again: work it into the roots. Put your hair back over. I also like to sprinkle just a little bit throughout the top of my hair, because again that helps with that slightly more PC texture that look that you can get don't like shake it on. There be be somewhat careful in your application of the product, but with just that little bit of powder. You can see the difference between this side and this side, so I'm going to go ahead and part. My hair over here sprinkle the product in work it into the roots and then again one more time over here and that's it. Obviously I don't leave it quite this crazy-looking um. It is important to remember that you need to do at least one section in the back as well. I almost face that for you guys, but just sprinkle a little back there, because you want that volume throughout your hair and that's it. So basically, this just allows you to judge your hair up and you know. Definitely if you need a little bit more in certain areas, you can add a little bit more, but it just gives you a hair texture and a little bit more style than it would normally have. So I really recommend this product for people who have really fine thin hair. If you are someone that washes your hair every single day and you don't have a lot of grip to your hair to be able to style it. This is an awesome product and it does wash out really easily the next day. I mean any shampoo that I've used in the past, with these hair powders have been, have very easily removed the product, and you know, as your hair sort of goes a little bit flat throughout the day. It'S very easy to go back in and, to you know, just kind of adjust your hair a little bit and get that volume back in there. I love this stuff. I think it's fantastic I'll, put a link down below to where you can find it and yeah give it a try if you've never tried these hair powders. These are an amazing thing that really are very simple and quick for you to get a volumize look with. So let me know if you guys have any questions down below and I'll see you in my next video take care. Bye, bye,

Jamie Amidala: I bought this exact product over a year ago and have only used it once, because I didn't know how to use it properly. Thanks for making this tutorial! I'm going to give it another try

AtomicPlayGirl 66: I love this product too! Not super crazy about the way it smells. Ladies try using a tiny amt when doing a 50s victory roll style. It will make your hair easier to hold and manipulate. You will even be able to skip the teasing. I find teasing is way too much stress on my locks. But even better is when you take down the victory rolls. You will not believe the VAVOOM volume it gives your hair.

Charu Shekhar: I love texture powder! You should try the Hairitage by Mindy magic dust :) It's so amazing. Even though I have thick hair, I sometimes like to use it when I do braids to puff them.

Susan Fischer: Thanks for the tutorial. I will have to try this on my fine hair. Your makeup looks beautiful today, especially the eyes.

natalie075: I flipping love this product! Super easy, big payoff

Karin Brandauer: Thanks for the tutorial - very helpful! I just bought the powder play lite on a whim this week with no clue how to use it ... luckily found your video and voila! Thanks again!

lt nugget: Melanie, thank you for your hair videos. I have baby fine hair and never know what to do with it. I'm totally going to try this product for some volume. ~Hugs

LLE2222: Thank you for this video! Like you, I have VERY thin, fine hair. No body at all! I will be purchasing this powder and giving it a try.

Mel: You read my mind!!! I literally spent an hour or more researching & reading reviews on this & other like products two days ago to decide which to try. I too have fine hair & have realized that certain dry shampoos in powder form give me a boost volume-wise so am guessing I'll like this sort of product even more. I was leaning toward this one & it popping up on my feed next to your name - w/ the accompanying thumbs up review - sealed the deal for me! Thanks for the perfect timing!

Diana Lee: Thank you ever so much for demonstrating how you use a volumizing hair powder. I bought one after my beloved stylist used it on me a number of times, but was an epic fail in my attempts to use it on my own hair. Like you, I have incredibly fine hair, but have had good results using Loreal Paris Elnett for light hold of a finished style. Do you use a hairspray or is this basically your finished look? Thanks!

JoAnn Rozwood: Thank you so much! I bought this product because I saw great reviews on a website but I really didn't have a clue how to use it properly. Your video is perfect! Love the product!

Ms.Gerwing: Awesome thanks for the tutorial I'll def be purchasing this product

Geri C -: I have very thin hair as well. I always appreciate something new to try. Currently I’m using Kevin Murphy Doo Over. You should try it as well. It’s a spray.

Kims_Quest: That is awesome! Great review. U sold me on this. I can't wait to go buy it and try it! I love your videos!

Rebecca Loud: Thanks for sharing how to use this product, I have a bottle sitting in front of me now. My daughter in law loves Big Sexy Hair and recommends it. I'm not sure I need it because I have lot's of hair and body but it's really fine. I'll try it today.

Melanie Martinez: I use this product, however I don’t use as much as you do. I find that a little bit goes a looooooong way! I too have fine hair. It’s a must have for sure!

MECFSWarrior: Thanks for the review. Your hair color is gorgeous!

love2cats: I love the volumizing powders!

Julie Smith: Thats really cool, even with my long hair I wash it every day.

Michael Drapeau: Great video - I have fine hair and have this product but have a hard time using it myself. And wow, what beautiful blue eyes.

Makeup and Mom Life with TL: Buying this for sure. I've trying the got2b one. That one works pretty good too. Do you know how they compare? Xoxo

Pamela Seithel: I use Bumble and Bumble Pret a'' Powder only in my crown area ,where I like a little bump, but the price point is a little hefty in comparison, frankly I use it like it were gold. I have colored treated hair. Do you think this would dry my hair out too much? I have just really normal fine hair, and like you lightly shampoo and condition dailey. I really didn't get to see the top of your head, but I suspect you did get a lot of volume.

Michael James: Drywall dust does the exact same thing. Try it

opalfishy: Thanks for posting this, I had no idea how to use it, I thought you were supposed to put it on and then blow dry it!

cattycorner: ty- I'm going to try this. Your hair looks great

AcheTCK: im dubting between Osis + / American Crew Powder/ or this one from your review. Are you still using big sexy hair powder still in 2k18?

san dy: i love the powder play but it gets extremely itchy toward end of day.

Adam Dunn: My goodness you’re eyes are so gorgeous. Great video!

dgmlmax: I have a love hate relationship with this type of product. It does give body and lift, but the texture is gross. In person I thought, it's worth the feel for the benefit. Then I saw myself in photos, omg my hair looked like a frizzy mess. I so want to love this stuff. Just to mention I don't even use near as much as you did. But your hair looks great.

Princess: I got the root pump spray I’m using now but maybe I’ll get this later

Stuie: I just bought some @ CVS 20 Bucks. I am growing out a pixie cut; and desperate for help. Thanks!

Lisa VanTol: I bought this but have thick hair… i want more volume at the top of my hair. Will it still work? I tried it, and it actually feels sticky… is that what its supposed to feel like?

thatwendygirl-20: SO helpful!!!

Ladonna Mitchell: Blow dry after rubbing it in....makes all the difference

Ingrid Craig: You hair is gorgeous.

Amber Ramel: I wonder if this will work for really dark hair. Im like a level 1 and i hate how certain products can give my hair a powdery look

Pat Smith: Once you go through menopause the oil will disappear. This powder is absorbing the oil in your hair.

Ethy Bay: Can you use a flat iron after this is applied?

Alison Jetmar: Hey, enjoyed your tutorial. I love that stuff big Sexy Volumizing Powder and suffer from the fine hair gotta wash it daily thing. You are a very pretty woman but I feel that your color palette for your blush & eye shadow is a bit off. You are like me in the cool blond family and the warm orange blush, eye shadow is for the warm skin tones. I think it would be more enhancing if you moved to a cool tone palette - like the dusty roses, red and pinks, lavender, that have blue tones in them versus the orange/yellow reds..Its just makeup - don't mean no harm. I struggle with the same issue and I enjoy hitting those big expense department stores for help where the cosmetic queens/reps really know their product and color palettes. So much of the makeup out there is for the warm tone complexions and like you I have pale, sometimes greenish blue eyes and the champagne blond hair and all that brown and golden orange stuff just doesn't work for my complexion - too muddy. My best to you, thank you again for the tutorial!

hdb80: This stuff makes your hair big, but you can't run your fingers through it after and I hate that.

SWAN: you're Stunning!

Emaan Sayedzada: Is it save to use?

Tanusta Jainarain: Hi wow instant volume thats exactly wat im lookin for,i suffered severe hairloss and thinkin of getin this but wanted to know if this wil clog the hair follicles?

Alison Tull: For ur subscribers in the UK,(i dont think we can get your one!) Tres semme do one, its in a small black contained with a red nozzle top..... cant say how good it is cos i bought it and Melanie just reminded me ive got it!! Think its about £6ish! x

loom bandz: Whats ur idea about root lifting spray

Ash Haughton: Thanks :)

Gerardo leyvas: lol idk how I ended up here but your beautiful :)

Yuri milianMus: is there a side effect for Hair Powder ?

nasira manzar: I had this product and dont know how to use. Thanks darling.

CajunPride: Great product. Also, you have really pretty eyes...

dvoted4life: will have to try xx

Belinda W: Can it be seen like dirt in your hair or does it blend well and if you wear black will it look like dandruff these are real questions cuz it could work for me I think

debz soto: I noticed it is wet when I work it into my hair and a little sticky is that normal?

First Coffee: How long does it last you?

WoozyFair: Quick question is this for men also ?

Valerie Simerly: I really don't thank the powder doing any thing I thank your hands fingers help with it it might dry up the oil

jenna monteleone: thats because you wash ur hair everyday stripping natural oils so your body is trying to makeup for it resulting in greasy hair after one day! after ur hair is clean and dry spray some dry shampoo on ur roots before bed or even before u go out. itll make a huge difference.

Andres Alvarez: Can this be used by guys too? Or does it give a girly smell?

Nothing Catchy: ? What about when it's humid... Does it clump? .... What about on dark brown hair????? I have the exact same hair problems

Gerardo leyvas: those eyes tho

Foltz Art: Oh my Goodness Luv look at you !! Wow Merry Christmas to me!! ⛄❄ haha anyways have a wonderful magical Christmas dear hope Santa is Good to ya.✌ Anyways Love your video great share and information ✌

Brandon Heath: Are you sitting on a yoga ball?

CoffeeBeforeMascara: I was hoping you would say shuje...szjuje...shudge ??!! How do you spell that?

Konger2919: Hey have you ever heard of the uhmami

marbetka k: Does this make your hair sticky, bc the one I have from schwarzkopf is horrible

Uoo Hoo: I don't see ANY difference.
