Slick Gorilla Hair Styling Powder Review

How'S it going my juice today, i'm gon na go over the slick, gorilla, textured powder and i'm gon na start that right now and if you're new to the channel, my name is angel from the style go. If you want to improve your self-confidence with yourself image and hit that subscribe button down below and give me a big like it down below, because i'm gon na do a review on this product right here by slick gorilla, the hair, styling textured powder, when i first Saw this i thought it was stupid, weird, because back when i used to get into hair products for the first time there was a product called mocha the gorilla this one right here, and that one was like this gel that, like it felt gooey and it smelled Gross and it looked like like boogers of a gorilla, i was expecting this one to be kind of like that, where it was just kind of gross but um. No. Actually, i kind of quite like this when it comes to this product right here. Looking at the packaging, i mean it's honestly, pretty cool, in my opinion, the fact that we have the gorilla with that really nice side part right. There minimalistic it's black, you know it's inoffensive and i think it's kind of cool. Now this product is a like store brought product. You don't really need to get this online. You can find this literally everywhere. The ingredients itself is very um simple. Now, when it comes to a lot of the products that i've liked in the past that i've reviewed on this channel, it's mostly the products that are home brewed, and so they have a lot of healthy ingredients, a lot of oils, it's not tested on animals. You know it has all the healthy stuff, all the new incoming stuff, that everyone loves to have in their products, but it doesn't have anything, that's bad for you, it's kind of like that in between it's like a very neutral product when it comes to the ingredients Itself and so take that, however, you will but we're gon na go over the five things that i always go over when it comes to hair products and that's to do with the scent the application. The finish the hold the prize and, at the very end, i'll give you my verdict on where i think this is worth it for you now going on to the scent um, it's a powder, so i'm not going to smell it and then the second thing you're Going to go over and that's the application of the product, how easy it is to get into the hair. I'Ve never tried a powder like this before, and so it was kind of weird for me in the very beginning, and so it tells you in the instructions. I supposed to put it in your hands and rub it like a normal like wax or clay or whatever, and then put it in your hair um. For me, what i've noticed is that it feels like it's not doing the job when i do that. So i kind of just put it in the hair directly: that's what i've noticed. That'S worked. I just feel like it just feels a little bit better and i feel like the hole's a bit better. So i don't know take that honestly as you will, but because the application's a little weird and no matter what you're always gon na have a mess. And so for me i don't like that, and so that's a con for me. But nonetheless, it's honestly very easy to put in your hair. It honestly goes through very nicely, and so, even though it doesn't make a mess, it does wrap around your hair, and so it sticks to it. And so the good thing is is that it really brings the texture and it feels like there's nothing in your hair. It'S super obedient with the product, if i tell it to go this way. Goes that way, if i told it to go this way, it goes that way. I told it go up down sideways up and tell it to go diagonal. It goes wherever you want it to go, and so that's honestly, really nice. Now. The third thing we're going to and that's the finish: how does it look in the hair and honestly, my hair has never had so much texture than when i had this product in my hair, it's honestly a dream having this product in my hair because it just Gives so much texture and life, and the thing is that having thick hair, it's really easy for me to get that volume. But it's so difficult to get some texture and to not feel like it's so blocky and like a square. If you really want to go for that rugged, like bad boy look, i think this is a perfect hair product for you, because it just looks so nice and the fact that your hair is so responsive to the product makes it doubly better. Is that can i say that doubly better? Is that a word? It maximizes the amount of awesomeness? That'S not a word either it's a good product. That'S what i'm saying it's a good product now, the fourth thing when it comes to cigarilla product, and that has to do with the hold now, of course, when it comes to the hold i kind of like to demonstrate you what it actually looks like in the Beginning and at the end, and so i'm going to show you right now what that hold looks like all right. So just so, you guys have a little bit frame of reference. My hair kind of goes to a bit past my eye, so my hair is like not super short, but it's like not super long. Neither and i'm not going to use any pre-stylers now with this product. I never really know how much to use the hold is. Pretty good actually but yeah, so i'm going to go out throughout my day with the this hair, i'm going to go to my job. Do all my daily things and i'm going to come back with finished results? Okay, so i left about like 2 p.m and right now, it's 10 30, and this is what it looks like, and it literally looks the same. If anything, it actually looks a little bit better than when i left, and so, as you can see, it's a really great product. It'S a really good standalone product. What i notice is that, because my hair is not long, but it's not short, neither it's like that kind of in between. I think that it's a pretty solid product by itself. Now i noticed that when i do go and put pomade as a pre-styler, it does look better, but that's just because, like me personally, i know for a fact: i never just have a product by itself. Realistically, i always have a freestyle in there, which is always me pomade, because it's my favorite product and so having the pomade, give the direction of the hair and then having the slick, gorilla powder, just give it that texture and life. It'S that perfect combination that i've been looking for, and so when it comes to the hold of it, it's definitely a good standalone product if you have short hair. But if you have me into long hair, i definitely recommend having a pre-styler and it will do. You wonders, and so as far as the hold goes, it's a very, very big pro and then finally we're gon na go on to the fifth thing, and that is the price. Now you can honestly find this product everywhere. Um you can get this at walmart. It'S going for about 15. I actually didn't know about that. So i got it at sally's, which was 17.99. It'S all over the place. There'S some dark cheaper than others. So definitely do your research and don't be like me and buy expensive and honestly i've been having a whole bunch of fun with it, and so it's definitely going to be a pro for me, because i definitely think that it was worth every penny. I spent trying to get this product and the fact that it was so easy to get that i could get it everywhere. That'S what made it so amazing for me and it was a better experience than having to order online and having it to wait to for it to shipped over to my house so for the convenience factor. The price - that's also a very big pro for me, but now we're gon na get on to my actual verdict on. If i recommend this product and it's funny because this product, i don't think i'm ever gon na, actually use again after i'm done using this and the reason. Why is because see i'm somebody where it does matter to me the ingredients on having you know some healthy oils in there, and i don't like the mess it makes for me particular, which isn't a very big reason to not like it, but i just have had Better products out there, and so just because i know of better products - i wouldn't get this again, but i definitely think that is really fun to try out, and it was definitely something that i don't regret getting. The reason why i got this in the first place, because when i went to go cut, my perm off i had shorter hair than i was used to shorter than it's been for a while, and so i needed a product that will give it that texture and Hold, but not too much where it was like a clay, because i didn't need a clay for short hair. I needed something simple that would work and would give texture to my short hair. I feel like the guys who are going to benefit this. The most is the ones who have short hair that they don't want to deal with the blow drying. They don't want to deal with the pre-styles. They don't want to do a hair spray. They just literally want to have something that just goes in the hair and that's it like you set it and forget it, because that's what this product is, there's no mumbo jumbo to it. There'S no flashiness to it! There'S no oils, there's! No, nothing! It'S just simple and it works. So do i recommend this product? Yes, i definitely do. I think that there is a certain type of person that would want this more than others, and so, if you are the person that i just described, i feel like this is perfect for you, unless you're like me, where you're super extra for no reason, but you Know um: that's why you subscribe to this channel.
