Tribal Chimp Review | Volumizing Hair Powder | Better Thank Slick Gorilla

Good afternoon youtube and welcome back to fat cat collections today, i'm excited to show you guys, another men's grooming product and this by a company called tribal chimp kind of an odd name uh. But this is the product right here, and this is hair, styling powder uh. So, gentlemen, guys, let's let's talk hair right, so everybody's got different hair. Some of us are blessed with amazing hair. Some have to work pretty hard to try to maintain what they have, but one thing, no matter what style hair you have in there. What type of hair you have? One thing is that we could all use better products right and, let's face it, the hair industry is a is a is a huge, huge money maker. There are so many different products out there, a lot of which are geared towards women. What'S out there for men, you know, and a lot of times guys feel kind of weird about that. You know going to a hairdresser asking these questions, maybe buying things, and you should you know, because let me tell you right now: i tell my buddies this whole time. If you have hair - and you have great hair - really enjoy it, while you have it and and maybe you'll have it permanently just enjoy it because you know once it's gone, it's it's usually gone now, put myself out there. My hair is very fine and, as i've gotten older, it has gotten thinner. Unfortunately, fortunately, i still have hair, of course, uh, but i shouldn't say of course, but luckily it hasn't gotten any thinner. So it's pretty much the way it was when i hit a certain age and it's pretty much maintaining right. I don't know if stress or what was going on diet. Who knows what was a factor there? I'M just not really sure, but i can tell you i think most guys will can can relate unless you're jason, statham or the rock right. These dudes look pretty good, bald heads, um, yeah and bald head hey. If you don't, if you have gone that route and you are bald, you know rock what you have make the best of everything right, but if you are holding on and you do have good hair, whatever your your story is, there are some pretty cool products that Will help to style your hair? Now i've done many hair videos uh on my channel uh, because i i do feel it's hard to put yourself out there. Sometimes uh. You know we all have things that we're self-conscious about, and now my skin has gotten pretty thick over the years, but it's to be flat honestly do i wish i had more hair absolutely and i think that anybody and gentlemen, if you're going through that - and you Know, depending on what stage you're at or where you're at in your life, with with the hair, i feel for you it's it's a shitty thing. It sucks right, um and so luckily again for me for what i have um i'm holding on to what i have at my age and based on my age. I'D say you know: i'm i'm it's probably not going to get knocked on some wood, probably not going to get any worse right, so um. I use different products to help and there's all kinds of different things you can do to help uh and but if you have a couple things i got going against me is the fact that one again you i have thinning. You know that which, which has happened and the problem is, is my hair is super fine and i mean super fine uh without product in my hair, like it just goes everywhere. Um talk about static. If you get, if i get static, my hair, it's just like it is everywhere and i just have really light fine hair. Now, if i had thick coarse hair, i would look like i had. I had have way more, but unfortunately it is what it is. So i do what i can, and one thing you can do is help to pro put something in your hair. That'S gon na give you more fiber and more volume, and these are things that i found over the years that worked really well. For me, i used to be a gel guy only because it's like all i really knew about so i really used. I never really found that pomades and things like that really helped me, but i've kind of got my system down where, when i leave the house, i feel pretty decent about what i got and now again we're always gon na have to be careful of bright lights. Right, if you're, if you're experiencing uh any kind of hair loss or thinning loss right, this just is what it is open at the end of the day. Uh. If you know at some point, if you get to that point, you can go state them, go to the rock style and those guys look pretty money right so uh. We can all do that so, but with this product i want to share from a perspective of a guy with very fine hair and when you see products like this uh tribal chimp and they were nice. If i want to thank them for sending this to me, we're getting to the product, don't worry, this is a hair, styling powder, and so what i've kind of been using uh over the last couple years is several different products to help to thicken up the hair And give it more body and more texture, you can use different shampoos, you can use different styling products, but ultimately powders seem to work pretty well. Uh. I'Ve recommended hair fibers for guy me definitely gives the illusion that you have more it'll, definitely help to give you more self-esteem. Anything we can do to feel better about ourselves. I think that we'll just be better off in life right uh. So what tribal chimp is - and i wanted to state on their commercials - they show you know a professional hairdresser, uh styling, a guy's hair and all these dudes have pretty nice hair right. They don't have super fine, thin hair. They have thick beautiful heads of hair. That really any product they put in their hair they'd probably be able to style it and have a killer haircut. What is pretty cool about this stuff? Is it's supposed to allow you to style your hair uh without any kind of like clumpy gels or pomades, and give you a dry soft look now i put this in the last. I think what i get about two weeks ago, a week ago and i've been using it pretty often, and i have a couple of pros and cons, at least for my style of hair. When you look at guys on these videos - and you look at what they're recommending and how they're styling the hair um again, everybody's hair is different. So when you have a guy like me, putting justice in my hair is not going to allow me to style it. What i do notice with this product is that it gives my hair almost not a sticky feeling, but a very coarse feeling, as if almost kind of like the effects you get when using sea salt spray, something i recommend for everybody's hair sea salt spray is fantastic. It just gives you more lift; it gives you more volume makes the hair feel thicker coarser. It just gives it that texture and again totally different video and there's lots of things. I recommend my little technique, but i think this is a pretty good product uh. So, for me again, this is not going to be the kind of product that i can put my hair and just finger it through, like they do on their commercials and just style. Your hair, like looking like you, came out the barber shop or the hair salon, which is beautiful haircut, just not going to happen, and i think that if you have amazing hair, you know you have amazing hair and you probably will be are able to use any Products and have your hair turn out fantastic now, sometimes hair becomes harder to manage when it's coarser and and has more body and texture again. I'Ve never had hair like that. My hair is straight fine and thin. That'S i mean that's really it uh. So pretty much anything i put my hair helps to weigh it down because otherwise it's just like poof right up and not in a good way. You know uh with guys like when you look at their videos or some of their videos and and some of the hairstyles these guys have. They all have a lot of volume. They have a lot of hair and again probably any product will work in their hair. What i like about this is completely dry, and what this reminds me of the results that i personally get is kind of like using a dry shampoo, a while back somebody recommended use dry shampoo before you apply you put in your products and style your hair it'll, Give the hair more texture it'll, give it more volume and just just maximize what you have, and i feel like this product does that even better um, the only downside, i'd say this product is that it's a rather small amount for what you're getting and right now, The price on this, if you want to get four they're, 1490 or sorry they're 14.99 for one three-piece set, is 24.99. I definitely recommend if you're gon na get this just spend the extra ten and get three um. It'S a super fine powder and they advertise that. This has a beautiful smell and i can tell you whoops it's going everywhere. Something to be aware of. I can tell you that i didn't really notice the smell all that much the other day. I'M super fine. Have you ever used like a hair fiber? This is almost like talcum powder, i taste even thinner than talcum powder, and i have to tell you a little disappointing how this just came out of the container man. This ain't, this ain't. No, this ain't, no archie bunker, this ain't, no booger sugar, guys don't get! We don't do that here right so um. It almost has the kind of texture that you're gon na get out of almost like cornstarch, which i don't know what this stuff exactly is. But i will tell you when you put it in your hair and i got ta tell you, it does have a really nice pleasant smell, and i think that when i smelled this the other day i didn't really uh. Maybe, who knows i made my smeller was off right right now, just by opening this, it has a very pleasant odor uh, the kind of odor that i wish. I could find a hairspray to smell, like that like this is pretty incredible, i'm actually on camera. Right now pretty shocked at how great this smells um, but anyway getting back to the product. You are going to get uh. So almost it almost does to your hair. What like a powder like a cornstarch, would do, which makes me wonder what it's actually made out of, because it does definitely has a starchy kind of feel and - and you guys know, if you've ever put cornstarch in your fridge, it helps to remove um. You know odor, it helps to absorb odor and - and i find or baking soda same thing very just like baking soda, it's, it's very fine. It'S very powdery and i've always found that corn starch has a drying effect and that's kind of what all powders do. So i think really what you're getting here is something that's really drying your hair out, which isn't a bad thing. It'S drying the hair, it's allowing you to actually be able to style it. Now again, i tried to style my hair, like they did in the video with this product. I wasn't able to do it. One thing i did find, though, is that by putting this product in, it definitely gave my hair more of an ability to style like it didn't blow all over the place. It wasn't just like super limp and lifeless like it normally is it definitely added volume which is fantastic, and i used it on my hair today now i used many other products on my hair. I started with this as my dried. My hair real. Well start this as my base, and this may not be how they recommend using it. But for me after i put this in my hair um, it was actually hard to bring a comb through and it wasn't knots it was just the hair. It becomes so almost like volumized and just kind of like it almost like stuck to itself uh, but not like gel, not like a sticky, clumpy, gooey kind of feeling. Um it's a great product and i have to tell you, i don't think, there's any products like this um available. It'S a product that i find myself uh, most likely going to be continuing to order this um as the years go on, hopefully uh. You know we can work a long-term arrangement where they keep sending this uh, because i do think that again - and and this is for the general - you know - even though this video is mainly geared towards guys um this stuff, i think, if you're a female as well And you've kind of experienced um, you know a lot of females. You look at most females. Females generally aren't slickers right. They don't wear their hair slick, most female 99 of people out there. You have a very light touchable kind of uh hairstyle um. You know me. I'Ve always had the hair that looks like it's. It'S crispy right, it's it's! I mean i put a lot of product, i use hair spray and these are things i have to do uh to get my hair to do what i want, but again, everybody's hair is different. I definitely think this is something that females can use, even though it seems like it's more geared towards men. I think it's definitely something that is going to allow uh females to to style their hair a lot easier. Now i do wish that this was available in like a powder spray. I think the applique should be a little bit easier, but - and i i and i think that for the price, i think it's pretty expensive because you don't get a lot here and these are pretty small containers at 10 grams 0.35 ounces and for the amount that You have to use uh each application. This isn't going to last very long, i would probably say, if you're a dude who styles your hair every single day like i do um this, probably probably two of these will get me through maybe a month, so i'm gon na have to come back. I will re-record and do another video um later on down the road, but i just want to show you guys again just what the container looks like uh just says: has their tribal chimp logo, hair selling power provides a volumizing matte finish and what's interesting is even After this is on your hand, you can kind of feel like there's like kind of like um. If you ever bodybuilder worked out, you know how, like chalk, feels after you put chalk on your hands to grab the barbell. It kind of has that stickiness that you get from chalk, which makes me wonder if there's something similar, i'm not saying they're putting chalk in your hair, but if there's something similar it has that kind of sticky property. Hair products are pretty expensive but you're getting a pretty big bottle of gel hairspray pomade for 15 bucks. You don't really get a lot of product for your money here, but um it is a great product and so a lot of times. I know they say you get what you pay for. I think this is very unique. I don't know of any other products out there like this, and i think again, if you were a person, a guy female man, woman, whoever that wants to provide more get more volume in your hair, more lift and just give it more texture. You know that probably around you about seven. Eight bucks right, if you go to normal brand, if you go more expensive and more um, i would use it on a daily basis. So um, you know, i don't know if, if you can get, you know again depends on how much you use, but if you can get 15 dollars a month, you know it just really comes down to you know what kind of results you're going to get on Your own hair and how much it means here you know i if i find a product that works, um, i'm going to buy it. You know, and i don't care if it's you know if it's a monthly thing, i really don't, because, ultimately we have to do everything we can do to feel good about ourselves. When you leave the house - and you know you interact with people - and you know nothing's worse than seeing somebody with no confidence and and uh and just feel down on themselves. You know i mean we're all human with all feelings and i think anything you do to lift yourself up and bring others up is uh fantastic. So i'm hoping that this video might help to bring you up.
