How To: Voluminous Curls For [Fine/Thin Hair] With No Heat! - 3A/3B

In this video I show you how I go from flat, flat, flat air dried hair to super voluminous curls in seconds with NO HEAT. I almost ALWAYS diffuse my hair but I wanted to see if I could get comparable results using NO HEAT. Guess what?! It worked!!!

PS. Excuse my crazy looking face and lack of makeup in this video. I was tirreeedddd!!!

Okay, so I'm coming to talk to you guys about how to get volume in fine Fame, curly hair with using absolutely no heat. So normally, when I styled my hair guys, I'm either doing one of two things. I am going to be washing my hair at night and then I will plop my hair with a t-shirt which I do have a video on, so that when my hair is up here, when I wake up it's about 90 % dry and then I will diffuse The remaining part of my hair to get all the volume that I have or that's my probably my most used method, just because it's the easiest for me as my work schedule things like that most volume, oh, my hair, is when I actually just straight wash my Hair and then diffuse it immediately afterwards that takes the longest. I don't exactly have the time to do that. So more often than not, I'm going to be plopping my hair to kind of wake up and just do what I got to do. But I started wondering you know what about using absolutely no heat, no diffusing, no nothing. How can I get the volume - and I like so this is my hair completely air dried and the only thing I've done is use these little duct clips. I wash my hair this morning and I put the same products that i always use put these little duct clips in, and this is my hair straight up air dry, as you can see, my hair looks so thin and so fine just like this. This is how i used to wear my hair when I was in like middle school, because I didn't know how to do my hair. So let me just shake it out just to see the little bit of volume that I have and then I'll show you another trick to get even more volume. So this is it and you can play like a little bit of product in your hair to kind of um. You know fight the frizzy, but I'm just gon na shake it out to that, but excess residue from um, gel and stuff is kind of broken down. So I'm left with, like soft curls, shake it out, so this is a little bit of volume that I get as you can see. It'S really Yunnan. My hair is really flat to my head. The curls are nice and defined, but absolutely flat. So the doctor kind of helped with that a little bit but more so it kind of helps with the style and the party that you want to use. So, as you can see, my hair is kind of just gone there, because I kind of parted and put these there. The other thing that I would suggest is getting a pick hands down. This is the best pick I've ever he's in my life. I got this at Target and I really just originally just went to get one pick and when I went to the hair section they had like a 8 pack pick thing with all these different size picks. So I'm like I don't mean this. It was like $ 4.99 and my all I need one pick so I checked the little dollar sections that they have in Target and I found this one and I'm so glad because, as you can see, the sides are tapered. You see that how it's like thick it goes thick to thin and because of that it really grabs and volumizes your hair. So I'm just going to show you I just flip my hair play down and then pick it up, flip it to the side, and you just want to really do like kind of an inside layer. You don't want to run it all the way through or anything like that, you're just kind of picking it up shaking it out, picking it out and shaking it up. So that's all I'm doing as you can see it's already getting more and more voluminous put my hair pick. I'M gon na pick the bottom here just to even it all out KaBlam. As you can see, my hair is a lot more full of volume than it was when I originally took my hair. Now, just air dried, you don't have to use any heat but get you some duckbills. Allow you here to fully dry and then pick that bad boy out and the more that she picked upside down the more volume they're gon na get um, but just do not run it all the way through, because you don't want to ruin your curl definition. You just want it to be bigger, so yeah, you know, a lot of people complain about their style, their hair or their curl pattern, because you know they say I'll have fine hair. My hair can't get big hair. I can't do it. Yes, you can get a pick pick that bad way out and I've even seen. People like like pin it. You know like kind of um like taking in different places and pin it. If you have like kinkier hair, like really really current tight girl hair, you can pin it in different spots to make it even look. Even bigger um Terran nine one three has done that she is videos where she shows where she pins it. You know to kind of hold it into place, and then, after a few hours, she takes the pins out and her hair kind of just stays there kind of similar to how I duck-billed it to keep it in the shape same deal so yeah I mean this Is my really fine hair and I have some volume and it's not gon na go flat throughout the day and when it does throughout the day, I'll just turn around shake shake it out and then bring it back so yeah guys. I hope I helped thanks for watching.

Camille De Sousa Cruz: Thank you so much for this video, it helped me a lot. When you have thin curly hair and nobody to teach you how to take care of it, youtube is like heaven ^-^

Debra C Johnson-Evans: Very good tutorial, my hair is fine/thin and this helps me.  I've been cutting mine short, but this does give me an idea of what to do when it starts growing out again.

Ana Rosa Domingues: Amazing!!! Thank you sooooooo much for all tips!

divan9: You are such a blessing! like the many who have commented I have the same texture hair as you. I have fought with my fine hair for years, and I've tried every technique I could find on youtube...yours was the only one that worked, thanks you so much!! :)

Erica Armstrong: Its amazing how similar our hair is! My hair is a bit longer, but the texture is on point! This is verryyyy helpful! Thankful doll :)

ShazzieBe: Nice tutorial! My hair is fine too.

Yetta Stokes: thanks so much.  I've been looking for tips from someone with hair similar to mine.  Great tips.  Your hair looks great.  I guess I can let my hair grow out again

Jenaya.Beauty: FINALLY! someone with the same hair texture as me!

K C: you are the first person on youtube I feel has similar hair texture to mine. Except my hair seems to grow out 3c and 3 inches from the roots are 3b/3a. I had tons of heat damage with straight ends that would no longer curl and after reading CG Handbook I finally took some sheers and chopped off my hair. I am trying to stay clear of the flat iron and wanted to know if you hair did well with the protein treatment? My hair was so dry after it! And what is your hair color/highlights do you use?

Nicole Joseph: U just saved me. My hair is thin like yours and I am wanting to go natural BUT didn't know what to do with it!!!

Shelly's Southernways: Thanks for this video, some people can be such asses, dealing with thin hair is such a challenge, most people just see the good grade of hair, and hate right off. My hair is just like yours, I've been natural 4 years November 1, I reached waist length but I'm thin as you please, it's OK with me, but the comments from others is real. I struggle to style mines to so your video helped a lot, thanks.

C H: thanks for this My hair is a lot like yours and this helped

Arwa S: THANK YOUUUUU SOOOOO MUCHHH I LOVE YOU MAYNNN THIS HELPED SO MUCH.

Naidalis1: I love your hair. My use to be like this but with dying, heat damage, BKT, etc it is damaged, broken, fine thin hair. I hate it now and wish I could get it back. Now my hair is dry, the curls are different, the hair ends are very thin, broken, damaged and straight. I always have it in a sock bun cause it looks very thin and dry especially the ends. I already cut like 5 inches but still looks very bad. I fear it will never be the same or bald. :( What do you put in your hair after washing?

Gitteee: finally someone with hair like me ! my only problem is that I have some strands of hair that aren't as curly as the rest, more wavy :/

kandace bromery: what products do you use?! I have thin curly big hair lol.. love your video!

D Hart: This is gold!!

Blessed Natural: OMG hair twins!!!! Mine is heat damaged right now though!!!

lisa batis: thankyou :)

Nicole Joseph: Thank u!

Lee Dee: thanks!!!

tnxmami: Hey! This is Garnier Herbashine..I have a video about it! My hair NEEDS protein :)

Renee F: How did you place the duck bills? I'm guessing you took small sections and twisted it couple of times and clip it until it air dried. I didn't see if anyone asked this question already but I could see me doing this.

jalen jj: I have thick curly hair

tnxmami: Good luck!

Brenda Nittinger: I pick...I frizz.
