My Real Thoughts About Top Rated Ulta & Sephora Haircare Best Sellers...

Hey guys welcome back to my Channel or welcome if you're new here for today's video, we are going to be talking through my thoughts on the best-selling hair care products from Ulta and Sephora. I feel, like I'm, constantly getting comments and messages from you guys asking what my thoughts are on specific hair care products and a lot of those hair care products do happen to be within the best seller list at both Ulta and Sephora. So I thought it might be helpful to just walk through the list from both retailers talk about my thoughts for the products that I've tried, so that that can hopefully give you guys some answers, because, luckily, for you guys, I think I've tried at least a million Hair care products at this point all right, let's jump into it. Okay, let's start off with the best sellers at Ulta. First up is the Dyson supersonic, hair dryer. This is a 430 dollar hair. Dryer Dyson actually sent this to me in PR for my birthday, which was very kind. Thank you so much to Dyson, but I actually don't love it. It definitely does dry. My hair super fast. I will give it that, but I feel like whenever I use this. My hair just looks and feels dry and Frizzy, which is really strange. I feel like that's, not really an issue. I'Ve ever had with a blow dryer before so I went to look at reviews to see if anyone else was having a similar experience to me - and I did see a lot of reviews saying similar things - a lot actually say that this made their hair feel, like Straw - and I was like now that you mention it - my hair just didn't - have that super Sleek soft shiny, look and feel that it normally does on wash day after a really good blow dry. So I know I didn't buy this myself, but I wouldn't want to this definitely would not be worth 430 dollars for me, but at the same time keep in mind there are a ton of people that really love this blow dryer and did not have that experience. So maybe it's just because of my hair type, I do have a lot of hair, but my individual hair strands are very fine, so maybe it just doesn't really work well for people that have fine hair, I'm not sure not worth my money. I'D be curious to know for those of you that have tried this if you had a similar experience or if this does work really well for you, if you are looking for an amazing hair dryer, my current favorite is amica's the alpha 360 dryer. I used it yesterday. My hair feels nice and soft. I think it looks nice and shiny. I never have the issues that I have with the Dyson when I use the Amica dryer, it still is pretty expensive. So I totally understand if that is just not even an option for you, but I do have a discount code in the description boxes of all my videos for amica's website. It'Ll save you 10 on your purchase. So if you want to try that out at a discount, that's available to you, otherwise, I feel, like I've, tried drugstore hair dryers that treat my hair better than Dyson like I used to use the Conair Infinity Pro blow dryer and that never made my hair look And feel dry and Frizzy like the Dyson. I really liked it so I'll list that below as well. Next we have olaplex. Almost all of olaplex's products are at the top of both Ulta and Sephora's best sellers list. So I thought we could just do a little rapid fire, yes or no on the top selling products from olaplex. I did start to write out some of my thoughts on these ovalplex products and, as I was doing that I was like okay, this is going to take up the entire video, so I think I just need to film a separate video on my updated thoughts on Olaplex, because I have some thoughts, so if you guys are interested in that, let me know in the comments below I'm definitely down, otherwise I'll just try to keep this a little bit speedier for the sake of this video. The number four shampoo. I think that this is a good option for anyone that has a dry scalp or anyone that washes frequently, but if you're an infrequent washer and you have an oily scalp, I would not recommend this, not my favorite. The number five conditioner is one of my favorite products from olaplex. I really love this conditioner. I think it's a really nice one. It'S dense, it's deeply conditioning. It'S good number. Zero is a product that I now feel confused by, because this is a product. That'S supposed to be applied to dry hair before you apply number three, but the brand has now confirmed that you're going to see the best results with number three. If you shampoo, first to fully remove buildup before applying it. So then your hair would be wet and if you apply number zero to dry hair before doing that, you'd be shampooing it out. So this one - I don't really get anymore number three - is a really great product, but it's not one that I use anymore, because I think the K18 is better so K18 has taken the place of this in my routine number. Seven is a solid oil, but it's not my favorite oil of all time. It'S not something I use in my weekly, routine and finally, number six is too thick and heavy for me to use before blow drying. It definitely does weigh down my hair, but it makes my hair feel super super soft. So if you have coarse hair strands, I feel like you would love this. I think it just doesn't work with me because of my fine hair. Next, we have pureology hydrate, both the shampoo and conditioner from this line, made it into the best seller list and actually very high up on the list, which kind of surprised me, because I'm not a fan of the pureology hydrite shampoo, for the same reason that I'm Not a fan of the olaplex shampoo, I just feel like it's too thick and creamy and heavy for those of us with oily scalps or heavy product build up if you have a dry scalp, definitely worth looking into. I think it's nice for that purpose, but otherwise, if it's just not one that I'm a fan of, however, I definitely am a fan of the pureology hydrate conditioner, so so nice deeply conditioning and even though it's not actually hydrating your hair like it claims to. It is a great option if your hair feels dry because of the fact that it's so conditioning, so that is a really nice one. Next is the living proof PhD dry shampoo. This is a great dry shampoo. I understand why so many people love it, but I don't use it because I prefer the new version of their dry shampoo, which is called the Advanced Clean dry shampoo. I love it. It'S probably still my favorite dry shampoo of all time compared to the original. It'S definitely lighter weight in the hair, it doesn't leave as much residue behind and it doesn't have such an intense smell. It'S a lighter, fresher subtler scent. So it's not something that's going to be overpowering or give you a headache throughout the day which I know is a major complaint with the original. I actually do have a video comparing these two. If you want to see how they look in the hair side by side side, so I will list that below next is the it's a 10 Miracle leave-in product. This is something that so many of you have asked me about and whenever I get that question I'm like that's funny, I know I used to use this in high school, but that was 10 years ago at this point, and I obviously can't give you guys my Thoughts on a product that I haven't used in 10 years, I can't believe it's been 10 years, but because this is so high up on the best sellers list, and so many of you have asked me about it. I thought that I would just purchase it to try out before this video, to give you my updated thoughts. 10 years later. I feel so confused by this, because the memory that I have of this brand and of this product is that it was very affordable. And I don't know if I'm making that up and just thinking that in my head, because I used to get it at Target and Target obviously carries affordable Beauty Brands or if they have truly rebranded. Since I used it, which again is very possible since that was 10 years ago, but when you search this brand on Google, the tagline for their website says luxury hair products for every hair type. So they call themselves a luxury hair brand now and it's definitely not affordable. So this product that I got, which is the smaller size, has four ounces of product is 21 and the full size version of this is forty dollars. So that's like the same thing as pureology, but anyway I did test this out yesterday, after washing my hair, and I have to say that I did really like it. You guys know that I have super tangly hair, so the detangling ability of a spray like this is a top concern for me and it did do a really great job at detangling and overall, a great job at conditioning. My hair feels really nice feels soft feels silky looks silky and healthy. I think so. I really liked it. I don't think I would go as far as to say that it has some miracle secret ingredient that you won't find elsewhere, like in the other leave-in conditioning sprays. I'Ve recommended, but I do understand why this is a best seller. I really liked it I'll continue to use it. Who knows maybe it'll become a favorite. Next is the Redken acidic bonding, concentrate shampoo and conditioner? I am not at all surprised that these are best sellers. I am absolutely love this entire line of products from Redken. I use it a lot which I think says a lot knowing that part of my job is to test and review new product. If there's something I consistently go back to. That'S how you know, I just love how my hair feels after I use these products. It'S always soft and lightweight and bouncy, so good all right. Next, there are two products that are neck and neck on the best sellers list, which is perfect, because I want to share my thoughts on them together. So it's the Redken one United multi-benefit treatment spray and the pureology color fanatic, multitasking leave-in spray. I actually talked to you guys about this in my last empties video that these two sprays have a lot of ingredients in common and two of my all-time favorite hair care ingredients are at the top of both of these ingredients, lists which are coconut oil and ammo. Dimethicone so they're definitely comparable, but they're not identical. Pureology does have some additional conditioning ingredients thrown in that you won't find in Redken like camelina oil and olive oil, and even though I do enjoy both, I find myself reaching for pureology more often because I think it just does a better job at detangling, my hair. So if I had to pick between these two, it would be pureology, but I think both are great options and you can't really go wrong and last from Ulta is the dry bar detox dry shampoo. I genuinely do not understand how so many people love this. I honestly from the bottom of my heart hated it. It had the most intense cast of all time. It felt super powdery in my hair and it smelled terrible like mature, florally, powdery grossness. I did recently review this in my latest dry shampoo Showdown. So I will list that below, if you haven't seen that yet and you want to see how this compares to 10 other dry shampoos that I tested and then I think, you'll understand where I'm coming from all right. Let'S move on to Sephora. First, we have the Dyson air wrap multi-styler, oh boy, this tool is a touchy subject because, on the one hand, it's literally six hundred dollars, which is insanity, I'm never going to tell anybody that they need a 600 hair tool ever. However, on the other hand, I know that there are a lot of people that feel that this tool is worth the money for them, because it replaces the cost of other hair tools that can add up quickly like, for example, if you are buying. Let'S say what are all the attachments: a hair, dryer, a frizz, smoother a curling iron, a flat blow dryer brush and a round blow dryer brush and not going like a super, affordable, drugstore route and buying those products that could easily add up to be more than Six hundred dollars, so I completely understand both arguments. This is a tool that I did purchase with my own money. It was not gifted to me, and I have to say that now that I have it, I do really enjoy it. For some reason, I don't have the same issue with this, that I do with just the Standalone Dyson hair dryer. It doesn't make my hair look super dry and Frizzy, and I really love the smoothing attachment that comes with this. It just really makes my hair look. Sleek and smooth and pulled together, I did recently post a video comparing the original Dyson air wrap to their upgraded model. So if you have been curious about the upgrades I will list that below, but one thing I did want to quickly mention is how I used the curling Barrel in that video. I was seeing several comments, saying you're using the curling Barrel wrong and I was like what is everyone talking about, so I went to look back at the footage and I was like oh the way this was edited does make it look like I'm using this. Just like a traditional curling iron, but I know that's not how you're supposed to use it. If the ends of my hair are super wet, I do have to hold on to them and kind of wrap them around the curling Barrel kind of, like you would, with a regular curling iron until they dry a little bit more. Otherwise they will not wrap around the barrel they'll just kind of like flap out, and then I would have like stick straight ends with curled hair. So that's why it looks like that. But then, once I get that to wrap around, I let the air work its magic, so for those of you that were all up in arms about that, don't worry I know, but that is not how it was intended to be used. Okay, so next would technically be olaplex, but we already talked about that in the Ulta portion of this video. So let's move on to the next product. After that which is K18 - and I guess we kind of already talked about this too, but Ulta doesn't sell. K18. K18 is my top recommendation for a damage repair treatment even over olaplex number three, because it's currently the only product that exists that was designed to rebuild your entire broken keratin chain. So I am still using this in my wash day routine. If you would like to know how I use it and some tips and tricks that I have for getting the most out of your bottle, knowing that it is super super pricey, I will list my latest wash day routine in the description box below next. Is the Amica perk up dry shampoo? This dry shampoo is a bit of a flop. For me, it's one of those products that I just don't really understand the hype for, because I would say it just got average ratings for me across the board when it came to oil, absorption and volume new average. The only thing that I loved about this was the smell and the packaging Amiga has the cutest packaging all right. The Moroccan oil treatment oil um. This is a good product, but I think it's very overpriced for what you're getting it basically just contains silicones and Argan Oil, which you can easily find Elsewhere for less than thirty four dollars. Then we have the briogeo Apple honey, deep conditioning mask. They did send this to me in PR recently, so I was able to test it out for the first time. First of all, I think this bear packaging is so so cute. I really love it. The only issue that I personally had with this is that I felt like it didn't detangle my hair, nearly as well as my all-time favorite hair mask. So it's not one that I'm going to continue using. But if you don't have super tangly hair, I think that it's a nice option for anyone that has fine to normal hair strands, because it's not super thick and heavy. So it's not going to weigh down your hair and it feels nice and it smells so good. All right 8., the Color Wow Dream Coat. We also talked about this in my last empties video and now that I'm thinking about it, I feel like several of these products were in that video. So hopefully this hasn't been too repetitive, but in case you missed that empties video. I am obsessed with this product if you've been looking for a product that makes your hair look, super shiny and silky and glossy this is the product for you, it's unreal. It is so good, I'm not even going to say anything else because I feel like I don't need to that's it. It'S amazing. You have to try it all right. We are nearing the end of this list here. We have three products left. Next. Is the Whey detox shampoo? You guys also already know that I love this clarifying shampoo. I don't necessarily feel like. I need to say that again, but I wanted to bring it up in this video, because a lot of you have been asking my thoughts on this versus the new k-18 clarifying shampoo. I honestly don't know if there's a clear winner for me here as far as performance and removing build up. I think both of these shampoos do a great job at that both do a great job at removing oils. So I don't think there's one that I can say is again the clear winner in that department. If anything, I think that k-18 does make my hair feel smoother and look a little bit sleeker, but that's just my hair. That doesn't necessarily mean that that will be the case for you and I still think whey is a great option. So if you have way - and you love it and you're wondering if you need to stop using it and switch to K18 after I wouldn't say that I'll leave that up to you, because again, I don't think you can really go wrong. Second, to last, is the Amica soul food mask this is a really nice mask, it's very, very thick and buttery, so if you're not into that kind of thing or if you have really thin fine hair, this probably won't be for you. It'S like the opposite of what I was talking about with the briogeo mask, but otherwise it does feel really nice. It does a great job at deeply conditioning. The only reason why I don't purchase this one is because I prefer Amigas The Cure mask over this. I love that mask so much it's my absolute favorite from Amica and one of my all-time favorite masks, so I just buy that one instead of soul food, but I still think soul. Food is nice and last we have the way leave-in conditioner. This has a lot of nice ingredients and it smells Divine, but it's just not my favorite for my hair type. It'S definitely the creamiest leave-in conditioner that I own, and I just prefer something. That'S a little bit lighter weight. So it's not something that I use, but I think that it's good. If you have really coarse thick frizzy hair, you may really enjoy this one all right. We are going to wrap up this video here. I hope that you enjoyed it and found it helpful, and I hope I answered some of those questions that I continue to get from you guys. Ansley Glenn: I just wanted to say how much I love your videos! I am a biochemist and I appreciate how much thought, research, and trials you do to bring people the most accurate and helpful information! I also appreciate how you are able to update and reevaluate your past opinions when new data/research is presented!

Robin Seguin: It’s a 10 was definitely around $40 during that 2010-2012 period. I remember telling my mom how many things it did to justify the price to her lol I used the keratin one for many years before switching to Redkin’s multi-benefit spray. Loved this video!

Ana: Yees! It would be great to see a similar video for skincare. I also love your empties and decluttering videos. They’re so much fun

Brief little candle: I think it’s time for another deep conditioner/hair mask video. I would especially like some affordable option.

Aidel Townsley: Hey! Would love to hear your thoughts on Kinky Curly’s Knot Today Leave In Conditioner and Come Clean Shampoo. I’ve been using these for years as a cheap clarifying and detangling pair but would love some confirmation on its efficacy/ knowledge about how the ingredients stack up to thinks you’ve mentioned that are much pricier like Ouai’s Detox shampoo. I really trust your knowledge and research and honestly dont know where to start myself~

Elyse Ong: They also came out with a curly hair friendly color WOW Dream Coat but for some reason that one doesn't require blow drying. Do you think straight hair gals can use the curly hair version in order to avoid the blow-drying? I personally don't like applying any heat to my hair in general just because of the potential damage and time consumption. I'd love to hear your thoughts! You changed my hair care game for the better~

Nat Mya: Unpopular opinion here. All bonding treatments feel good and seem to be working when you use them. It is not until you stop using them that you realise they temporarily bound your hair together artificially and did not in any way repair it. When you cease to use them your hair is either the same as before you started, or worse because as the bonds come away they pull weak hair apart and it often doesn't survive it. Many people argue and shout me down for saying this saying I am wrong etc but it is my direct experience of olaplex, K18 and other bonding products. If you don't believe me discontinue use for 2 -3 months and see the real state of your hair.

A LT: Be aware that the reviews on Ulta’s website are sometimes manipulated by the brands or the marketing companies they hire. They create fake accounts just to leave positive reviews. I haven’t seen that so much for Sephora, but Sephora’s problem is the reviews from people who got free product. You will naturally feel more positive about a product you got for free, people rarely leave bad reviews for stuff that was gifted.

Carey C: I’ve had my Dyson hair dryer for years and I’ve never noticed my hair being dry. I have fine hair and not a lot of it. To be fair I only dry my hair once maybe twice a week and it’s almost dry before I do so. I looked up the Amika hair dryer and it had some horrible reviews on how it breaks so quickly. Any thoughts on that? I’d love a video on hair dryers. Your hair care videos have completely changed my hair and one of my daughters. Still have one daughter with fine long straight non damaged hair that is sooo oily. Nothing works to help. Probably her pre-teen hormones.

Joanny Diez: Really want that update on olaplex. I recently got the stand alone treatment at the salon and my hair feels amazing but with all the other olaplex steps I have at home I’m not sure how to integrate them into my routine now

Gigi Beah: Can you do a comparison of hair shine rinses? I know that you did one for the lamellar water, but I’m interested in which rinse you think is worth it. I know that you use the amika, but have you tried the drybar one, or the Kerastase? :) I’d also be interested in the science behind these products!

Original Cali Girl: I feel you about the dry bar dry shampoo it’s the absolute worst ever. I bought it when I went to Las Vegas and it’s ruined a lot of my outfits that I wore that are black it was all over everything. Ugh hated it with a passion.

Kara Thomas: I know you mentioned doing an updated Olaplex video, but I'm personally more curious about a Pureology video and comparing all of the different shampoo/conditioner options (because it seems like you've maybe tried them all?). I was going to just start buying all of them over time in travel size to try the different options, but it would be so much easier to have some direction LOL - love your videos Abbey!

MECFSWarrior: I would love to hear your updated thoughts on the entire Olaplex line

Crazy 4 Bananas: I so love, love your honesty and how conscience you are about the price of products for those of us who love quality at an affordable price. Thank you.

savvy lynn: Yes, need a “new thoughts” on olaplex! Ur the best ❤

Ashley Unich: Very interested to hear your updated thoughts on Olaplex!!! Love your content, Abbey

Sarah Albright: Love this format! Would love to see the skincare and makeup versions!

Alison Gogarty: Thanks for these reviews Abbey, so helpful!! Could you review the living proof triple bond complex? (hyped to be better than olaplex and k18)

Emily 585: Honestly, I never understood spending so much money on a hair drier ( to each their own if you want to of course) I have always bought a hair drier from my local drug store and never really had any issues of drying out my fine hair. Spending $400 for one is a bit absurd for me at least. I tried the pureology hydrate and with my fine desert dry scalp to ends it is alright I dont think it magically hydrates it I definitely prefer the strength cure line if I had to pick a favorite the hydrate does give a cooling sensation on the scalp which feels nice it isnt a bad product though if it was the only thing I had I would still use it. Next on my list to try is the redkin acidic line.

Julia Julesiscool: Yes to updated olaplex update. I’ve reduced my usage to no3 because it has the most ingredient in. I use the oil and 6 together prior to drying. Just started the volume up combo in redken the pink one. As per your recommendation I use the pureology leave in

Rhavie Masiglat: Thank you for all your reviews and tips Abbey! You save us time and money. I’ve been using your double mascara tip using drugstore mascaras and loving how it looks on me

Shelby: Hey Abbey! I look forward to your videos every time you post! I love how you talk about the science behind why things are myths and not spread false information! A lot of that happens in the hair care world. But I was going to ask if you have looked into the shark blow dryer. I don’t know the exact name but it’s supposed to be exactly like the Dyson and it’s around $250 I think. Seems like people like it more but it would be cool for you to review to give people another option that’s more affordable! Thank you so much for all your hard work!❤️

Caroline Sarwar: I had the exact same experience with the Dyson hairdryer and also the airwrap. My hair looked so dry and frizzy and again, not something I had experienced before

Hiroki Hazeki: I would love an updated Olaplex video!

Cassandra Garza: Ouai and Amika products are so great! I’ve noticed such a difference with them especially amikas hair masks (the Kure is on my Xmas list lol) and also using the olaplex 6/7 products together work well with my thick hair.

Grace: Both my friend and I bought the Dyson dryer. We both had the same experience in that it fried our hair. It didn’t dry it any quicker than a cheap dryer. Olaplex did absolutely nothing for me. Aphogee works miracles to repair my hair and it’s a fraction of the price.

Kimberly Evers: Yes on the Olaplex review!!! I have used almost all of them, but now only use 3, 6 & 7 for various reasons. I’d like to hear your opinions

Bing M: I appreciate the time and effort that goes in to making videos like this. My colored treated hair is fine and most products weigh it down so I end up with no volume with my short bob. One thing that I have noticed is that my hair dryer has to be ion free, so just the standard dryer works better. I have looked at the dream coat, but worried that it too would make my hair flat on top. One product that is new to me but that I really like is Osensia, VaVa Volume Weightless Spray. Helps give me the lift that makes my style look better. xo

Katherine Kline: YES!!! To an Olaplex review/update. I love their new serum. And I love the fragrance. I’m very sensitive to chemical smells, but this one doesn’t bother me at all!

Gayle Mayberry: I LOVE the its a 10!! It has made my hair soft and shiny! When I started using it I had a head of straw! Lol but I dont like the price at all! But luckily it is lasting well!

Thi Thuy Vy Le: Thanks for the review! Move the consistency of your videos. I bought a lot of stuff for my hair (ouai detox shamp, redken acidic line, olaplex 8, etc) thanks to you but i have to say that i love the moroccanoil oil (although i didn't like the smell at first) it looks like my hair are less frizzy and i have less split ends when i use it, also it doesn't feel greasy and heavy at all! So do you think there is an affordable version/dupe of it?

Lisa Bee: Love your videos Abbey! I have ditched all my bad hair products and upgraded my hair dryer. Some ULTA best sellers are head scratches for me.

eobrien1: I need to try the Olaplex conditioner! I love the shampoo & their oil is my fav product they make. I love #3 too. Honestly, I’ve never used a product of theirs I didn’t love. I am also 100% team Air Wrap. Not saying everyone needs it, of course, but doing my hair has always been a pain point/chore for me. And anything that makes that almost fun, super quick, and leaves my hair so damn shiny? I’m all about it. Completely worth the money for me. (That being said, I got a refurbished Gen 1 from Dyson, so I paid like $400, I wanna say, so I didn’t spend $600.) Speaking of, have you ever tried the color Wow w the air wrap? I don’t know if the “shine” part works without a blowout.

LIZZYONSTAGE: Abbey- you are the best ❤ I always get excited for your videos! I have been a long time user of the original Briogeo hair mask, and I just tried the vegan honey version and LOVE it! Much more hydrating/softening for me personally! I also can’t live without the K18 hair mask or peptide prep shampoo and The LP dry shampoo is a holy grail (hands up to us 7-8 day no hair wash gals ) I would LOVE for you to do this for skincare! And perhaps some K Beauty too! I have been finding that K Beauty is so much more effective AND affordable than a lot of the “best sellers” at Sephora and Ulta ✨✨✨

Jessica C: I thought I was going crazy too because I remember buying it’s a 10 for around $10 at Walmart years ago before salons started selling it. I’m so glad someone else remembers that!

Connie: I enjoyed this video so much, it would be awesome if you do a similar one for skincare. Thanks for all the hard work you put into your videos, and have a great weekend, Abbey!

Mireya Puett: Hi all, I am a fan of the It"s a 10 leave in for many years and I actually mix it with filtered water (1:1) in another spray bottle because I found it pretty rich. It is less heavy on my hair, without loosing its benefits and last me a lot longer. It's like getting double product for the same price. Just a tip.

Nikki2370: More Abbey!!! I literally need a series from you in regards to Ulta and Sephora beauty events You know we take everything. & YO we all loved it's a 10 lol I remember the big bottle was like $20 something. Girl you are for sure right.

Aphrodite AW: I have long, curly, graying, very dry hair. I bought the Pureology leave in conditioner because you and another YouTuber said how great it was. I've used their products in the past and really liked them. I had high hopes! Now, I realize everyone is different but I didn't find this didn't much of anything for my hair and the smell literally gags me. Even if I loved it, I wouldn't be able to use it. It's like snorting overly scented lilacs. Ew. I also didn't find K18 did anything for me and its WAY too expensive. Maybe I'm just an alien and I have unmanageable hair? LOL

Kyboo: Love Ouai shampoo! Gives volume and new life to my hair without drying. It's lasted so long too since I use it once a week to every two weeks. And I love the Amika mask! Makes my hair so shiny!!

JimBearOne: You might want to try KERASTASE Densifique mask this actually leaves hair feeling a little more ‘substantial’ especially the ends and gives body and smoothness.

LoZeldaGamerxo: I’ve tried over 10 different leave in conditioners… drugstore and highend. It’s a 10 is still my favorite. I personally think it’s a miracle product lol I tried the pureology leave in and my hair was still a tangled mess was super disappointed in that product.

Alicia Owens: I have curly hair and LOVE the Pureology Hydrate shampoo and conditioner when I blow dry my hair straight. I haven’t found another combo that makes my hair feels as amazing as those do. Pricey but worth it for my curly hair

Katherine James: Yes, I used it’s a 10 in high school around 2012 and it was much cheaper! I Recently just bought some more because I realized it’s a heat protector as well! Love it

Khalilah D.: Even though I have curly hair I really love your reviews because they’re often applicable for me too

Monica Valk: I prefer the Biolage Coconut multi benefit leave in over the It's a 10. Would love if you did a video comparing them and even compared to the Redken Bonding leave in treatment. Thanks for this video!

Joannabanana1989: I bought amika’s soul food and the kure based on your channel and definitely LOVE soul food the most! I have very fine hair and this makes it so sleek, smooth and weightless. I struggle with grease and oil and this allows me to only wash twice a week now. I followed amika’s website and did not apply to my roots so maybe that is the key if you have fine hair. The kure didn’t make my hair feel weightless after washing so it is too heavy for me. I was not a big fan honestly. I think its better for thick hair.

Stephanie Beacroft: I was going to say I would love a deep dive into Olaplex and your updated thoughts... but who am I kidding haha I would just love any video of yours.

Lisa Hawkins: It’s a 10 has always been expensive. I remember my favorite leave in was $20! I saved up for it back then lol

maren s: I needed this video! I have just invested in a lot of new products based on your recommendations and more info on them gets me so excited! Thank you ❤

Julie McBeth: Agree with you about the Dyson hairdryer. My hair is similar to yours - I have a lot of very fine hair and I felt it was too drying and my hair was breaking I called Dyson and they gave me a refund - but it sounded like this happened regularly to people with fine hair. Perhaps it’s great for people with strong thick hair ‍♀️

Jennifer Penner: Love your videos - thanks for all the work you put into them! Curious what your favourite hair oil is, in place of the Olaplex one.

Debbie Benner: I had high hopes for Pureology Color Fanatic Leave in Spray. But my hair looked stringy & the smell (while nice) is too strong. I have to use this product sparingly so my hair won't look greasy or smell like I doused myself with perfume. WAY too expensive for poor results!

Vanessa Ryan: Love your videos! I have learned so much from you. We need a skincare and makeup video like this. Thank you!

martha m: I’d like an update on your thoughts on Olaplex. When did they change directions for Number 3? They have so many products. I do think Olaplex 3 works wonders, for me it seems to work better than k18 and is more affordable but it is more time consuming to use if applied to wet, dirty hair. Maybe that’s why Olaplex changed the directions so that it’s more similar to K18?

bnb0510: I love Pureology hydrate. I just bought Oribe Alchemy and like it! The LP dry shampoo is the absolute best I’ve ever tried. Everything else is garbage imo. Haven’t tried the new one yet.

Samantha: Would love to see a skin care version!!

GoldBloodedBeauty: I agree the Pureology Hydrate shampoo isn’t the best for oily hair and I actually have dry hair/scalp and even I prefer the Hydrate SHEER shampoo with the original Hydrate conditioner! I don’t think It’s a 10 has ever been affordable… I worked at Ulta like 7 years ago (yikes) and it was always considered a “prestige” brand and I remember being stoked to get it with my employee discount lol. Also agree on the Drybar Detox dry shampoo… I thought I’d treat myself to a high end dry shampoo because sometimes I lose my mind while shopping and now I’m just using mine up to get rid of it when I won’t really be in public but just don’t feel like washing my hair, I hate it so much ANYWAYS, Abbey (or anyone in the comments), do you have a favorite detangling spray? I’m assuming it’s the Pureology one, but my hair doesn’t love coconut oil so was wondering if you had an alternative?? I guess I could always go back to the It’s a 10 and relive my ULTA days lol but would also love one that was more of a liquid spray rather than cream so it doesn’t weigh my hair down so much… basically looking for the unicorn of detangling sprays, thank youuuu haha

Jenny: Super helpful! Thanks so much!!! Yes a video like this for skin care and makeup would be great!!

Claudia MM: This is how I use number 0 and like the results: I wash my hair (just shampoo, no conditioner) to remove build up. Then I towel dry hair to remove excess water and apply Number 0, wait 10 minutes and then apply number 3. I leave that treatment overnight. Next morning I shampoo and condition hair as I normally would. My hair looks a lot better than it used to and my scalp feels clean, not dry.

RITA COINU: Thank you for your thoughts on the Dyson. I own it since 3 years and love it. But is not definitely worth the price. Love from Italy.

kathyvanggg: Please do an updated Sephora sale recommendation for hair! The sale is coming up and I’ve just been binging all your old Sephora sale recommendations.

Emmers1983: I have fine, thin hair that tangles and I figured out a way that I like to use the Olaplex 6 without it being too heavy on my hair. I put a small amount of the Olaplex in my hand and then mix it with a couple sprays of the Pureology Color Fanatic spray and/or the Redken One United spray and then work it in. I feel that I get all the benefits from the cream and the spray(s) and it's not heavy. If you have thicker hair than I do(you probably do) then you might need to make more of the mixture to distribute through all your hair, but yeah.

Calculated Spaces: I look forward to an update on Olaplex. That IS it’s own video. I also found that I ❤ the No 3 when I highlight my hair and it feels damaged. The No 1 should be mixed in every bowl of lightener and color that includes a developer. So it’s very important, but maybe ask your stylist. I think the air wrap is a good value because of the number of tools you would be replacing. No messy storage and easy to pack. I have a dryer that is shipping to me today. I may like it or be ready to trade up to Dyson or Shark etc. Thanks for linking it and sharing.

Linda Kiser: I absolutely love my dyson supersonic hairdryer! I don't have superfine hair (according to my hairdresser), but I don't have a lot of it. I am constantly in search of good volumizing hair products. The Dyson hairdryer adds volume to my hair. I can tell a huge difference from using a regular hairdryer. It has not been my experience that it dries my hair. I'm sad that everyone doesn't have the same positive experience. However, I realize everyone is different. I enjoy your videos Abbey, and I appreciate the research you share.

Maria camila Moreno: The Amika dry shampoo was a disappointment for me, happy it was my Sephora bday gift, it leaves a lot of residue (though I have almost black hair so …) but most importantly doesn’t control oil at all

Denisse: Dyson hair dryer burned my hair out badly. I didn't realize it in the beginning until my hair was destroyed over time without changing any other hair products. So not worth it

Elaine Jaffe: Excellent review and update! Because of your recommendations, my hair is doing great! Love Amika products! (The Kure line) What oil products do you recommend for thin hair? Thank you for all the work and effort you put into your videos.

Nermin Sayari: You are fantastic, I have been following you on all social networks for months and I am literally obsessed with your videos. You are always clear and direct in your content and I blindly trust your advice ... I have tried many of the products you recommend and I have always had a great time. Keep it up! A kiss from Italy

Cait: This came at the perfect time because I was about to buy the Dyson blow dryer and we have the same hair type — THANK YOU!!! Do you have a review on the T3 blow dryer?

Sarah C.: I love your reviews! I really like the way Moroccan oil makes my hair feel. Is there one you would recommend that is similar but more cost efficient?

Nancy Ross: One of the holiday Sephora Favorites boxes this year is their "Ultimate Holiday Hair Hydration" box which sells for $39 and, along with a good variety of minis of other quality hair products, contains a full-size of the Amika The Kure (which on its own costs $38). I jumped on this deal without even knowing much about some of the products such as The Kure. Your video confirmed this was indeed a great pre-holiday gift to myself!

Kelly Burnett: I am 56 ... so much has changed for the better in regards to haircare. I really want to try the K18...I wish it wasn't so expensive. I have fine, thin hair and I was told to try density products. I love your videos...the content is thoughtful, honest and thorough. Thank you.

Maria Febres-Sacoto: I bought the dryer dyson, used it for a month and took it right back to Nordstrom. The dryer was not worth the 675 bucks.

SummerDay: So glad you made this video. I was considering the Dyson dryer and now I think I'll find something else! P.S.....Patiently waiting for your top eye creams video to drop! I'm running out of mine and need some recommendations!

Marly Goncalves: I changed my olaplex shampoo and conditioner for the pureology strength cure after your recommendation I have to say you give the best advice ❤ great recommendation I 100% trust everything you suggest

Alexploring: I really liked this video--just the right length in terns of reviewing each product. Would love to see one about makeup and another about skincare (face & body). Thanks so much!

Nicole Kali: Tried WOW dream coat, but dried my skin and made it flaky, even if i avoided the scalpi'm afraid to try it again, took me a few washes to get rid of the flakes

Nia Dean: Another fantastic, informative video like always thanks!! Your hair always looks good and in this video it looks a lil toned down which is great for fall!!!

thewooflingdiva: My 40 dollar Conair SmoothWrap is hands down the best blow dryer I have ever used. It's fast and gentle and kills my frizz. It's my go to for rough drying even when I style with my Shark flexstyle.

Cara Rector: I would really appreciate an updated Olaplex video. As well as other great options for each step. Thank you for your detailed content. I really like know the why behind what makes a product good.

Nora Kurdy: I have the dyson air wrap and it makes my hair feel like straw. It never keeps my style, I have to go back in with a flat iron. My hair NOT fine, and has some wavy courseness. But I use it to get the general shape of my blow out and finish with a flat iron, because it uses less heat. And regardless if I use my Babyliss or my Dyson I always use a flat iron to finish. So might as well turn the heat down at the blow dry step! My theory why the dyson makes hair feel dry or frizzy, is that it does not have enough horsepower (I need minimum 1850W). The Dyson is 1300 or 1400? The cuticle just never lays flat without enough heat and tension.

alesya loyko: Can you compare the Dyson Airwrap vs the Shark Flexstyle Air Styling & Drying System?

Megan Baum: I can’t deal with the smell of the purology hydrate line. Something about the smell makes me think of rubber tires? ‍♀️

Idk: hey abby! what are your thoughts about strength cure shampoo/conditioner these days? I keep seeing reviews people are experiencing hair fall out. i've been using it and makes me wonder.

Kazooboo: Loved this video thanks heaps. You’re so knowledgeable and teach me so much I love it!

Neylea Drew: The Olaplex bond smoother works wonders for my frizzy curls…when used correctly. Too much leaves a residue. Side note…I’m soo bummed that more and more brands are removing silicone from their curly hair lines my hair neeeeds the silicone.

Bailey Allison Dubbbbbs: I tried the it’s a 10 leave in about a year ago, and it made my hair so sticky and heavy for some reason….not for me

Nia Dean: I have 2 different versions of its a 10, one is the miracle blowdry leave in and when I used it on clients it was wonderful but on my coarser hair it didn't do anything maybe I got a dud. The other one is formulated for blondes and is a leave in and sadly similar results...

Linda Wharton: Olaplex’s blog website advises you *can* put olaplex 0 on wet hair after clarifying first. The one thing that annoys me about Olaplex is their directions are often contradictory (wet vs dry) and the time is always a minimum. It’s like they don’t know their own product.

Derrick Jennifer Watkins: What a great video! Yes to the updated Olaplex video and if you could include updated K18 thoughts.... Even better!

Kayla Sederski: Yes to all the extra videos you mentioned! Would love to see those more in depth.

Miss Mecca Jay: Yes please do a separate video on your updated thoughts on Olaplex!

chinnychinchin: You need the gentle airflow attachment for the Dyson SuperSonic… it’s a game changer if you have fine hair

Ana: Pureology made my hair fall out like crazy !!! It’s a no for me

Michael Halbritter: Please share your updated thoughts on Olaplex (and K-18)

Deandra Johnson: I certainly wanna see a deeper dive into Olaplex. That would be a great video.

Megan Kaye: Do you have a favorite hair mask for softening? I’m having a hard time finding one that really makes a difference!

Lisa Hernandez Castro: Olaplex No3 made my hair fall out in chunks when I rinsed it out. I definitely wouldn’t recommend it!
