Heatless Wand Curls On Natural Hair Using A Robe? |Truleytriesit

Hey Loves! I'm back with a different kind of video. I decided to try a hack I saw from https://youtu.be/dS9FWzJUEtE on my natural hair to see if I could get a similar look. Lets just say, I was definitely surprised by the results. I hope you all enjoy this heatless wand curl look!

Hello, beautiful people welcome back, welcome to I'm SuperDuper excited for this video today, I'm trying something different, I'm trying something out the ordinary and I'm hoping and praying that it will work, and if it does my good god by good graces, we found a new hack. Alright, so I'm starting off on freshly washed and half blow-dried, half air dried hair. I just went ahead and blow-dry it so it'd be a lot easier for me to go ahead and work with it. Now I'll go ahead and link the original video that I saw this from it's in French, I believe, but I literally was just cruisin through on YouTube of course, and I wanted to find a heatless way. I immediately thought okay flexi rods, but I honestly did not want to walk around with flexi rod to sleep in them, and I was trying to use as minimal heat as possible, which obviously meant I xed out using a curling wand. And so I saw that this girl used her robe, but yes, her robe to curl her hair. Now, of course it wasn't my natural hair, so the probability of this working - it's pretty slim, but I want to see nonetheless, if it will work anyway. So I'm starting off with the string on the robe. I have two different types of ropes. I have a very furry rope and then I have this one. That kind of has like a very stiff material. It'S not furry at all. I chose this one because I feel like the furry one either will retain too much moisture or it won't really curl the hair up as much. I don't think it's as stiff, so I wanted to go ahead and use this gon na. Do it down the middle for safety, safe, safekeeping and hope for hope, hope hope for the best? That'S that's really all I could do right now. It'S hope for the best. So I'm splitting my hair down in half my hair is completely dry and I just have a little bit of moisture in my hair and the serum that I used to detangle my hair all right. So I'm gon na go ahead and clip out one side out. The way and make sure that this is the tangle, because the video her hair was straight. So obviously it was too tangled like crazy. So it's not gon na get supermagnet up and her hair was dry and she didn't use any additional product. So that's my only skepticism that the fact that she didn't need to use any product - and she just got these luscious curls - really has me mind: boggled, i'm gon na go ahead and take the robe and I'm using v, there's a fluffy side and a rough side. She didn't say so: i'ma just put the fluffy side on my hair and hope for the best. I'M gon na make sure it's even just put it in the middle of my hair. I'M so skeptical use my clip to secure it right. There then go ahead and take the first piece and wrap it around the robe and then take another piece wrap it around this broom, I'm bringing the other pieces that I took and combining it with the new piece, as I'm twisting it around the robe. So taking the hair that I just twisted, I'm going to bring it back over and then combine it with a new piece and just twist it around okay. So I made it to the end. It'S definitely not perfect, but I'm just gon na go ahead and detangle. The ends, and just just just for a little hope, okay, just for a little bit of hope, I'm gon na go in with this foam conditioner by eating Body Works and apply it to the ends, just just to insure that it's going curl up cuz. I want this to work. I don't want to guess. I need this to work. Okay, so I'm gon na use that to tangle my hair and then wrap my hair around this little thingamajigger. Okay and I'm just gon na apply a little bit more of that. So the ends get a really nice curl on the eggs, hope wrap it into a bun and then secure it with the scrunchie. Can you tell that I'm skeptical, I'm very, very skeptical, but nonetheless I'm hoping for the best okay? So I'm just gon na go ahead. Do the same thing to the other side, wrapping the hair around the robe. You do not want a flat twist on the rope. You basically want to use it like it's a curler, so you're wrapping the hair around it, you're not twisting it with the hair. I feel like wrapping the hair around the robe is what's supposed to give it that curl. So that's why you just want to make sure that you wrap it around the robe, not with the rope, so you can actually try to get the best results. Both sides of my hair are completely wrapped in the video she left it in for one day, so I'm gon na do the same. I went ahead and cheated a little. I added a little bit of product, but that's all that's all. I'M going to do just just so the eggs just just to give us extra hope. You know nothing now, the last step that she did was she removed the scrunchies and secured it with a stocking. I'M gon na go ahead and take a wig cap and I'm a little scared, but because I think my hair is definitely shorter. I don't really think I need the scrunchies for maximum and I'm gon na go ahead and take my wig cap and put it over everything. I don't even know if this girl bit alright, we are wrapped up, secure and ready to go so because I have the wig cap on and there's nice little air pockets in it. I'M going to just go ahead and rock it like this and let it air dry before I go to bed, I'm going to probably go ahead and just on top of the wig cap wrap it up with my scarf. So that way I reduce any frizz. I'M gon na let this set it's 5 o'clock now. So I'm gon na go ahead. Imma! Let this air dry and I'll catch y'all tomorrow. Alright, you guys so it is officially the next day I went ahead and switched over to a satin scarf, because that wig cap was tight and I was not trying to lose my edges, so I'm scared and excited at the same time. So I really hope this wait. Let me just okay right all right, I'm gon na take I'm gon na. Take this one down. First, oh, look at that. We got a little curl like that. Okay, yeah! Do you see this? I was I look. These look like really fluffy wand, curls and I'm here for it. I'M I'm here for all of it. I'M gon na separate a little bit trying not to over separate Wow. Okay, Oh extended, okay, I'm gon na Ravel, the other side, Wow Wow. Look like look look at that, like oh, okay, okay, okay, okay, all right, so this is what the curls are. Looking like, they're really soft, like look at that literally looks like wand curls and no heat was used in the making okay. So I think I want to go ahead and start it. I like how it looks, but I think I want to style it a bit and there is the final look super cute. These curls are super freakin cute, so it kind of gave me like a really nice fluffy little wand, curls situation. I don't think it came out too bad. To be honest, I think we we did. We did what you do with what that was giving us. I definitely think that if I had more product in my hair, I would have liked a lot more fuller defined curl moments. So that's, okay, but overall, I think that it's definitely a possibility. I just think we got. We got ta use some products in the hair to really make things shake to really get things poppin and going on. So I hope that you guys enjoyed this little look if you want to see more from me, do not forget to subscribe down below. So you got nothing missing up, load and I'll, see you all in my next video bye, love.
