I need to try this hair trick now. Oh, my goodness, those curls look amazing. I do love trying new hair tricks, especially heatless curls, because i do that every day. So, let's see if it works first up, let's shower now, let's get started so apparently all you need is a scrunchie and any kind of clip okay. So what you do is put your head like upside down, gather your hair and put it into the scrunchie. I wanted to leave my friendship because if it goes wrong, this is gon na be a disaster. Okay, so united it into four sections and curl: it first section down okay, so this is what it looks like my hair's really sharp. So i don't know how this might turn out, so i'm gon na go to bed now and i'll post the results in the morning.

Cindy Burdick: Yes it works, that's how I curled my hair for years. It was different every time. As I got older I couldn't get my hands and arm's above my head so now I wear it short. This way to curl hair has been around since late 60s-70s.

Of course it will, because "pin-curling" (which is the term for this method), was how women curled their hair every day for hundreds of years before the advent of heated hair tools, and later, electric hair curling tools...were even invented (and was still used by many women even after heated iron hair tools came along, because it works so well), then gradually started being replaced in favor of foam rollers, then electric rollers, then curling irons. It's nothing even remotely new, nor is it a "hack", since it's neither new/innovative, nor "easier/quicker/better" than using foam rollers, heated rollers, curling irons (which is what generally constitutes the meaning behind the word, in this context). It's a more time consuming, more primitive/rudimentary technique to create that type of curl, and has a learning curve to really do it well and get the results one is looking to get. So definitely not a "hack", nor a "new" trend. However, that doesn't mean it's not worth it. It's a very good method/technique. Which is why it has gotten a bit of a resurgence in recent years. All that said....I'm absolutely not being snarky, rude, mean, in any way whatsoever. I think she is lovely, a beautiful person inside and out. I'm just pointing out the info/facts about what this technique is, and what it's called. (Pin-curls)
