Everyone Kayleigh your friendly neighborhood hairstylist here and today I'm gon na teach you guys how to get some faux natural-looking waves. So not too long ago I was playing around with my curling iron. I found a new way to use it. I posted a picture on Instagram and asked you guys if you wanted a tutorial, and you said yes like a lot, and I really liked this method, not just because it gives people with mostly straight hair, like me, a chance to play a little bit. But, as one of you guys pointed out in the Instagram comments, it's a nice way to touch up your natural wave, so I'm gon na talk a little bit about that as well. Just because you know some days, yeah air dry, you do everything right! You follow all the steps and then there's just that one piece that one rebel piece and I like this method because it can fix it and then the whole thing is much better. So that being said, let's jump into it now, if we're talking about faking a natural wave when I'm specifically talking about, is like A to C wave know if that's completely new verbage to you, but one of the ways that we categorize hair is through types and It split up into four numbers and then there's letters within each one. It goes from the straightest of straight to the coy list of curls and that just helps you kind of picture. What kind of curl we're talking about. So if you have anything that is close to that kind of hair, naturally this is gon na really help for, like touching it up, fixing those little pieces. If your hair is any tighter than that, there's a couple little things that we can do and I'm gon na talk a little bit more about that as we go through, because I want you to be able to have the option to use this technique on your Hair as well, if you want to touch up those one or two pieces, like I mentioned, we can do with this method, but for everybody, we're gon na start with some heat protectant I've got that bumble and bumble glow life. You guys know. I love this project. It'S just so good its heat protecting its bond building. It smells like honey. I don't know what else you need if your hair is like one, a like the straightest of the straightest of the street. Another thing you could do is add in a product withhold like mousse, while your hair is still wet or using a heat protectant that has hold because your hair it likes to stay bone straight. It doesn't like to curl, and so you have to give it as much liquid help as possible, and by that I mean use products that have hold. If you have curl your hair and you're going for a little bit more of a stretched out, look than you normally have I'm going to put some links down below to waist, to stretch out your curls to keep them from being as bingi and ringlets E, and A little bit more wavy now we love a ringlet curl, it's beautiful! It'S gorgeous! You do not have to stretch that out. This is just if you're feeling it that day, if that's the vibe for the day I'll put some links down in the description box. So you can check that out. You could go ahead and do that before we get started alright. So all that said, I think it's actually finally time to get into the method you guys are so patient with me. I love y'all thanks for sticking through we're gon na. Do it now: okay, Kristin S, one-inch curling iron. Surprise, surprise. Also, while we're talking about all the different hair types, I am bringing my sister on after I show you guys how to do this, so you can see it on long hair too. Don'T you worry all righty so today, I'm gon na be using a one-inch Kristin s, curling iron. We know that I love this, but you can use a different sized curling iron for different results. I will picture those a little later, basically you're gon na start by sectioning your hair, as we always do so. We'Re gon na leave the bottom half down clip off the top and then, if you've seen my Instagram curls video you're gon na have a head start here. So what you're gon na do is you're gon na clip the hair into the curling iron and you're gon na wrap it up then you're going to duck the iron so that the tip of the iron is pointing at your face. You just duck it under that hair strand. That way, you undo the curl, but it's still clamped into the curling iron. Then this is where it differs from what I've done before you don't slide it out anymore. You don't change it at all. You wrap it right back up and then after you've, let it sit for a second or two you duck and you wrap again and the more times you conduct the curling iron and then wrap it. The tighter the wave is gon na be and the more little blooms you're gon na have so. This first example that I did is kind of like the medium amount you get this nice like deep kind of wave going on this. One is what you've seen in my Instagram videos before it's a lot more of like a barely there Bend and this one I got as many twists as I could in my hair, and you see that it looks like a lot more tight natural wave. I don't have very long hair right here. The longer your hair is the more room you have to play, but put it in your wrap it up. You duck underneath pull it back up, right, wrap it again and as the hair is drop, there's gon na be this little twist right here and that's one of those that helps with that wavy. You look, you duct, wrap it back up, and now you have two twists that are on the curling iron haha, and now you duck. Maybe it's about time to slide. Cuz you're running out of hair wrap it back up. This is the example of like the most, and this is going to give you a really tight, tight wave and then again you just want to slide down. You can see right there that is tight and twisted I'm gon na. Let that cool. Before I run my fingers through it, I just want it to set and then, as I said, if you were going for a more minimal look, you would just wrap the hair at less times so I've gone around once I'm gon na duck bring it through. I'M going around twice and I just slid the iron a little bit down my hair duck and go through third time and last time over the ends. So you can see this section is very, very like natural way of looking. This is a little bit more than I would normally do unless you were matching your own hair texture, but you can see you have that really really natural looking wave or is this one? The waves are just a little bit deeper and more defined. So it's a little bit more laced, looking a little bit more styled. Looking if you're new to this, I always recommend starting with a cold curling iron and just practicing a couple times, then you can turn it on. I'M gon na go ahead and finish out this section and then I'll drop the next down and we'll do some more tips and tricks all righty next section. So the reason that this creates a more natural looking wave is that it's stretching out the area between the bends of the curl whenever you curl the hair up the diagonal between the curls. So if this is ringlets one - and this is ringlets - two are pretty close together, it's how you get that kind of Boing. You look going on when you stretch it more, but you still have that bend and you stretch it more and stretch it more. It turns more into a wave, so essentially, what we're doing is we're putting in more bends and then stretching out the coyly parts in between to create the way.if. Now the other cool thing is that the size of the vent is determined by the size of your iron. So if you want a more loose Bend and the wave, then you can go with a larger iron. If you want a tighter Bend, you can go with a smaller iron, and that is particularly great because those of you guys who have naturally more curly hair, are gon na. Have those smaller bends in your hair. Naturally, so if you want to match it, all you have to do is go with the smaller curling iron than what I'm using today. One of the biggest keys with this method is that you're not continuing to pull on the hair. As you go, my Instagram waves, video that I keep referencing, was all about really using that tension to keep the hair a little bit more straight, a little bit more, barely bent we're not trying to do that this time. That'S why I'm also leaving it in these little twisted ringlets to cool that way. We have a firmer set also if you'll notice, I'm alternating in the directions of my curls again, to give it a more natural kind of beachy. Look if you want it to have that kind of really bohemian almost like three barrel waver look, then you could do them all in the same direction and they will come out like very like oceany, which could be really cool too, but I've primarily been using this. For that kind of, like oh yeah, my hair, just dry like this after the ocean look cuz. I certainly just wish that hey I could get to an ocean and be that my hair would dry like that after I went in it. Oh, my gosh look at it so pretty so this is definitely pretty defined right here. I think with my next section. I'M gon na go a little tighter to make it a little bit more natural-looking and all that. But oh it's so pretty. Let'S keep going and I feel, like I've, been talking a mile a minute and I might have actually gotten through all my tips already. Oh, I mean we still have to talk about what products you put on at the end of this, but you know what I think, I'm just gon na. Let you guys we'll send us some music and watch me keep curling my hair see. These are a lot more natural-looking and it can be nice to mix in like these more natural pieces, with these more placed ones or just go all in one direction, but there you go. You can see what I'm talking about now. I think what I'm gon na do, for my finish style is that I want like a flip like a little hair flip moment and like not a crazy, precise part. What I'm gon na do to make that happen is I'm gon na actually part my hair on the opposite side, to what I normally do and then once it's all curled, I'm gon na flip it back. The only thing that I have to adjust with that plan is that I need to curl everything toward my face. Cuz then, when I flip it over, it will be going away from my face. Don'T question the physics your mind will break just know. That'S what you have to do so it might feel like you're doing a lot of sections, but I feel like I can go through these actually a little bit faster than I normally do, and it's less heat on each piece of my hair. I'M noticing there's also that alright, I'm not gon na break them up, but I'm gon na go ahead and kind of get my part over okay, let those cool these are cooled, though, so, let's just see how they look. Ah right it looks like a natural wave, and so if I had a day where I managed to get my hair, mostly wavy and I just wanted to touch up a little bit, I could do this if I tried some kind of heatless hair hack and it Almost worked, but not quite I could do this, I mean I love it. I think it's so cute, so you can either do this by combing. Your fingers through, like I have for the other sections or you can shake it out on me. It looks pretty similar either way, but if your hair likes to frizz out a little bit more, sometimes shaking it actually helps to break it up, rather than breaking through a giving your hair a chance to go just and then if there are any little pieces that Are kind of joined together and you don't want it, you can just pull it apart with your fingers. Now I love the texture and lift. I have right now - and I know that my hair is gon na - get tired of being lifted and just started to throughout the day, so I'm gon na add some products to shows it up now. Normally I would use my Christina's dry working textures play. I have misplaced it, as I do with everything in life that I love, so I think of a dry texture spray, which is very, very similar just a little bit more expensive and a little I mean I Oh, with the smell of it. Ah, yes, honey. So if you have fine flat hair or like we were talking about that one, a super straight hair, texturizing spray is gon na, be your friend at odds, hold and texture which we need. Now, if you want a little bit more peace eNOS, if you can find it the igk down and out dirty spray, so good for that, I think maybe just continuing yet cuz they're not selling it on like the big websites anymore, but you can still find it. So if you can find it, I'm gon na give this BB sumo liquid, wax plush finishing spray to do a PC lived in texture. Let'S hope it works, because I really like how my hair looks test it back here. Little scratchy scratch yeah, you can see. This is a lot more defined and PC than up here. I'M gon na put on my hands and scrunch it just to get less of it on my hair, because my hair is fine, so it doesn't take a lot of product to do a lot. If you're doing this on curls, I would just recommend whatever really helps your hair to hold and not for us throughout the day, I'm gon na assume that would be kind of a lightweight moisturizing or sealing product, maybe a gel that you can scrunch in or maybe Like a lightweight hairspray, if that tends to work on your hair tight, but that is how I'm finishing up today. I am super loving. It is this how I like to do it on my short hair, because you don't have as much hair to work with. So you really got to get the waves in quickly, so there are lots of little waves close to each other. So that's the short hair. No, I think it's time for some long hair, oh and a lil Rob hi guys if you missed the last video she's a little bit more brunette hair blonde, oh yeah brown and blonde together wronged. I'Ve never heard that before you haven't no. I live in the hair world. I was thinking for your hair. It would be fun to have you experiment with a little bit of a like a wider wave so that the ridges aren't so close together. Let'S do it cuz. My hair is all kinds of huge today I have that, like post hair, color thirsty volume, which textures too it's like constantly drinking up everything, I give it well in that effort. Here'S some okay! Some of that. I love to do that all righty then. So you already saw what I've been doing: yeah on camera and in life. Yes and life I've been seeing all right, I'm gon na jump off camera, I'm gon na. Let you give it a try and then I'll jump back in with any feedback. Okay sounds good cool that way, you don't have me standing here like and you're, not slighting, we're rapping. That looks good all right. I think we can gently gently loosen this, so you can see what it looks like all right. Yes, so this is okay! Well, if you wanted it to be a little tiny bit more to find, you could do like literally one less okay, but I like it, okay, that'll, look so cool the long hair you do have to have a bit more of a slide than I saw in There yeah cuz for me like a half inch slide is enough for you. I think a one inch slide works yeah. The difference between that and like the Instagram curls is that we were sliding like three ish inches right, so we both have long hair. Then whoa whoa whoa. Well, we forgot how we were doing stuff nice, nice, clothes, yeah yeah. I don't like you being that close to the iron, that's liable. When you do slide, you want it to be closer to an inch than a couple inches all right. Well, it looks like you've got it, I'm just gon na. Let you finish out this section and we'll convene sounds good. All right great! It'S great to see you! I think you could probably do a little bit less. Actually, Oh English! This piece right here needs. I redo well, I just finished those yeah that was my. That was my life again. This looks good okay. What do you think yeah? I really like it? Okay, it's definitely different totally new and different love. It now on stating alternating gross all right home stretch. So now is when you take small, it's like not the time to get lazy. I'M talking to myself. Alright last piece: we go alrighty, I'm so excited to rake the Reuben. This is cool. Can I do it? Can I do it? Can I do it? This is such a beachy vibe. It'S like a weird straight piece in the middle. So another thing that you did. I don't know if you knew that you were doing it. You didn't go as close into the route as I did, and so that gives it a more relaxed and then wavy there, which I like a lot for the long hair. I just wanted to call that out in case people wanted to play with that information. I always like, if you're looking at the hair - and it just looks a little off like find the piece that looks off to you and pull it out and see. If that's just the only thing, that's bothering you, it often is usually it's gon na go ahead and run through it, because I did it a little tighter, oh yeah, yeah yeah. Oh, I love that yeah. Look at me. Look at me! Oh yeah! Absolutely! I know right people in the comments are gon na, be like that's all. My hair looks like when I just sleep on it and I'm like you're like congratulations. Do you have to brag? Alright, I like that a lot. Oh, you know. Okay, you can go ahead and write great through now. I know you get a lot of joy, but also, if you're looking at your natural ways and there's like one prayer, that's a little bit more straight. You can do what I'm doing right here and just putting the one part on the curling iron. I love it all right, so I'm feeling like you need, I wouldn't add more fluff to your hair, necessarily, I think, maybe a little bit of a spray wax. For definition, okay, I think that might work. Okay, I'm gon na test. What the spray I actually put it on my hands first and then on my hair, and it worked so well for my hair texture, but your individual hairs are thicker and she has more hair than I do. Oh, oh, that smells good. I don't like a little bit of shine. Okay, this is a lot like the down-and-out dirty spray. I, like that ooh yeah, see okay, compare the sides like it's not huge, but it's definitely like it took down some of the fluff added some dimension added, a skosh of shine mm-hmm. That'S what I wanted and it was especially good on her front pieces cuz. They were a little bit a little bit a lot and you can also scrunch it too. If you want I'm finding more areas, the pro tip, long, hair girls, don't spray this on your underneath long layer, mmm, that's asking for a matte in the back. Like all the top pieces, you it's but wax yeah, it will literally start tying knots in your hair. Did you a little hairspray? You can do this with like a larger. I already get it looser. You could do less ways and have more barely there, but that's like a really natural. I just walked out of the water and let my hair dry - and it looks like this I'm from what's the show that I didn't make it all the way through Outer Banks. So that's how you can get some natural looking waves and or touch up your own. We'Re gon na insert some little pictures footage of this with different curling iron sizes. Just so you can get an idea, but in general that's the method and I love it. I'M obsessed, I do not think I was gon na like it so much on long hair, but I'm seriously not with it yeah. It looks just the right amount of undone. It'S like modern, Serena van der Woodsen or something Serena vans. Are it Wow, Serena van der Woodsen, circa, 2020, so yeah? That is it for today again, there are more resources for curly hair and the description box below to help you out. If that is your journey, we got you. Wadiah Chaudhary: You're literally a HAIR SCIENTIST and my Hairstyle teacher for the past 5 years. You're a big part of my life, I lovvvee you

Shaked Gabbay: Usually when I watch videos of straight haired people I feel like I'm expected to either have straight hair or straighten it, but this one was so positive and inclusive towards more than one type of hair and I really enjoyed it even though I don't heat style my curls

Sadie McC: I have 2B/2C/3A hair--here are some general observations of my own curls if you want to make your hair look really natural: --My roots are most often straighter than my ends. The longer the hair is, the more it is weighed down, and the bigger the difference between the curls at the bottom and the texture at the top. --Curly hair does not like to be parted--a straight part breaks up curl clumps and makes frizz, so after curling your hair, flip your part and don't worry if it's not perfect. Ours rarely are. --Curls do not come in one size on any person's head. My face-framing pieces have a very loose wave, and the pieces at the nap of my neck are very tight. Also, some of my curls are ringlets, and some are S-waves. --Many of my curls go in the same direction, but not all of them. So don't make them all in one direction, but also don't alternate every other one perfectly. --The very ends of my hair are the curliest. Those pieces should never be straight. Obviously, all curly heads are different, and obviously, you can do whatever you want and what you think looks good, but but I hope this helps. :)

kaya: thank you for being so inclusive for those with naturally super-curly hair, i’m so happy that you went the extra mile to acknowledge the natural beauty of tight curls not many people do that even though it should be said so much more often, so thank you for using your privilege ❤️

K.d. Lyn: I love this technique! Exactly the look I've been wanting but didn't know how to achieve. Can't wait to give it a try.

Hannah Marie: She’s so cute and helpful! I have 2 b hair so I am definitely trying this out today to touch up some of my difficult waves

Celeste Stratton: I love to use two French rope braids to get heatless curls and this is an awesome way to fix the front pieces that usually come out looking weird!! Also my best friend has amazing curly hair but she touches the front sections a lot while they dry so they usually end up straight. This is an awesome way to curl them again!! Love it. Also LOVE your out-tro <3

Kayla Renee: Huge thank you for making this video! I’ve been wanting to learn this curling method for a while!!

Nicole Approves : This is such a great tutorial! Great for summer!

Ingridlosneslokken: Beautiful! I braid my hair like your crown braid you did a few years back, while it's wet, and when I wake up I literally have the exact same curls as the one you got here so if you don't wanna use heat, it's a great tip!

Olivia McLaughlin: Love this idea! My hair naturally (on a good day that is) looks like how Anna Laura’s turned out, but a lot less wavy on one side than the other so I’m always having to add looser spirals and defeat the purpose of trying not to use heat. With all that being said, I’m very excited to have a way to spruce up my crazy hair and make it all look even at the end of it all!

Leslie Roycroft: I just did this and it looks AWESOME! I’ve never gotten waves to go this well! I have pretty thick waist length hair so it took me a while. Plus this being my first time doing it, i’m just getting the hang of it. Thanks so much! I’ve now watched several of your videos and now i’m a subscriber!

Gabby Ramirez: It is very rare for me to feel like my natural hair texture is desirable, so I really appreciate seeing videos like this!

megan hunter: I've just tried this and as someone who uses straighteners to curl my hair I thought I would find it hard just using a curling wand. It took me a minute to realise what I should be doing. I have longer hair so Anna Laura showing me it for longer hair really helped! My hair looks amazing, like a ginger mermaid. As always, great video, love you guys!

Mrs. Bobber: I'm super late to this video and I love Kayleys content! She is so great at explaining different hair types and how to work with them. I'm not sure this is a new method... Milabu has been curling her hair this way for a while now. It's still a great method and am so happy Kayley shared it with her followers ❤️Kayley's Channel is so fun and informative! Definitely worth subscribing!

im_mac_ulate: Love, love, love! This style looked SO great on both of y'all! Definitely going to try it out myself.

Looloos Hair: These look absolutely stunning! Thank you for the amazing tutorial again

Ariana V: I loved this tutorial, especially since I have 2b hair and my waves can be hard to style sometimes. This is so easy to follow and after I got the hang of the technique I ended up having an extremely cute hair style to wear for the day. Thank you Kayley!!

munequita bluegreen: Love the energy in your videos! I recently discovered your channel and love all your tips very helpful for us new blondes lol

Sophia: My plans for the day now include "curl your hair like Kayley"

Jenna Rose: I got my hair done yesterday and she was using this method! I loved how my hair looked so good to know how I can recreate it at home!

Mary Rose Hicko: I just tried this method today and I’m in love!!! I’ve been looking for a more natural style other than my usual beachy waves and this is perfect!! Thank you!!!❤️❤️❤️

China Robinson: I love love love this look on both of you! Thank you so much for this tutorial. Kayley, what eyeshadows are you using? I love it!

Ava Getzloff: Thank you for making these videos! This is the kind of stuff that are helping me get through quarantine!

sdancer22: I love the inclusivity of this video especially as a curly girl myself !!

Annies Forget Me Knots: Okay I am in love with this look!! Doing it in the morning! Your hair and you are soo beautiful!!

Lucy Parr: This is such a helpful video! I have 2a ish hair and I tend to sleep in a french braid at night partly to help define my waves and there are definitely days where I wake up and its not quite perfect, so both the tutorial itself and the products were super helpful for me!

Donna Layne: Absolutely beautiful!!!!! I can’t wait to try this

Nadine Bradley: These are the waves I have been trying to pull off for over a year. Thank you!

Madison M: I'm so in love with this look! It's exactly what I want my hair to look like! Tips for not getting the creases in your ends? What size of barrel is the best for thicker curly hair?

Lauren Sutherland: This was one of my fave videos!! I love how natural these look

Katie Farr: Okay I am becoming obsessed with your channel! I recently cut 15 inches off my hair to the length that yours is so needless to say it has been a challenge trying to adjust your videos have been a life saver!! I love these waves & the technique is soo easy.

Shawna Martin: Yay! I knew I saw this somewhere from you but couldn’t find it! Finally can have this saved for wavy beach hair days! I have a natural wave but it’s always falling flat or gets too frizzy with the humidity we have in Montreal. I’ll for sure use this method next time I get a chance to curl my hair :D thanks Kayley!

Love from England!

Casey Rozehnal: This is awesome!! Thanks for sharing girl! Would you be able to do a mom on the go series? Since becoming a mom, my hair has been put through the wringer and I dont even know what to do with it anymore

Kylie: Ahhh I’m late but I still hope you read this. THIS IS THE BEST CURLING METHOD I HAVE EVER TRIED. Finally my hair moves like a wave rather than a spiral. I’m in love. Thank you so much

And NO CAP every time I do one of your curl methods and go out I ALWAYS - and I don’t kid when I say always - I ALWAYS get compliments and I just feel confident and awesome I love everything you are and everything you stand for... you are AMAZING, BEAUTIFUL, AND THE HAUR QUEEN!!! please NEVER STOP DOING WHAT YOU’RE DOING #BraidaholicFamForDaWin!!! (also lol we are waiting for merch gurl )

Heather Allen: Just tried it finally after my 3/4’ wand came in.... SO good for touching up natural curls. Love you

Jamie Monroe: I just chopped my hair this length a week ago. It's really hard for me to get curls in my hair now. Thanks for Sharing! Those curls are beautiful.

Ruby Fireblaze: I’ve been trying to find a way to wave my hair that I liked and I tried this and I love it it worked so well I almost burned myself a few times along the way but it worked perfectly thanks so much

Hannah Elise: This works almost exactly the same with a straightener as well!

Allicyn Texeira: You’ve given me hope for my natural texture!!!

Frankie White: Such a good tip to start with a cold iron first! I'm a hairdresser too and I still burn myself

Rebecca Gruntz: I would love to see a “third day” hair styles with short hair!

Ellen Jordan: I can't wait to try this! I got a 1 inch Kristin Ess curling iron for Christmas and absolutely love it!! I tried the Instagram waves technique a few days ago and it was SO CUTE. I will be trying this technique soon and am sure it will be just as great!

Ginger Girl: Thank you ladies you always brighten my day. Guess I need to buy a curling iron, haven't had one in years.

boutux: I have Afro textured hair in the type 4 category and though a lot of what you do on your channel doesn't really apply to my hair type, I still enjoy your videos. Thanks for including the links to stretching curlier textured hair. I don't use heat so I do the banding method demonstrated by Melissa Denise or twists but twists and braids will give me a different curl pattern from my natural coils.

MitsyCat: I figured this out in college with, of all things, an instyler lol. Did it constantly. My boyfriend's mom thought I had naturally curtly hair, I was so proud. This technique really works and it goes quicker than normal curling. Another weird trick I figured out because my hair is fine and flat, is to put it in velcro rollers after curling (more so regular curling than this, but it might work for this too, that I haven't tried). I got the volume of a hot rollers but without that hot roller look. Weird, but it worked. Just have to put the rollers in/ curling in the same direction and tame it a little afterwards. But it worked. They also are great for giving you a blowout look with WAY less work. They do not get enough love.

SpazyAzy's Art: This was cool, I can't wait to try this out!

HairbySofia: Your hair is soooo pretty!! your channel is literally what i strive for mine to be

Swati Rajput: omg. i remember accidentally discovering this method from your duck and slide method and now you are showing it. i actually already know how to do this. YOU TRAINED ME WELL ❤️

misstamih: Just yesterday I tried achieving this look, well lets say I didn’t succeed thanks for the video and new technique ❤️ looks amazing!

GretchenVaughn: I followed the previous natural waves braid and air dry tutorial. But this is what I've needed, especially for day two. Redken Iron Shape 11 is the best heat protectant with hold. It makes my hard to curl hair curl in little time and the curls last!

Emma Brown: I know you are an amazing hairstylist but I have loved, loved, loved you're make up look in your recent videos! would love to see a make up tutorial for you everyday make up!

Lucie Tavern: Wow this is such a cool trick! Excited to try it. Thanks Kayley

Brittney Shianne: i’ve been using this method for over a year!! my favorite way to curl my hair and my clients!!

Milleny Rodriguez: I love when you do hair on you and on your sister, best of both worlds ❤️

Erin: Tried this! Loved it. I also tried the Kristen Ess texture spray! LOVE IT. I only had used the Oribe version but it’s sooo expensive. So happy you recommended the KE stuff. It’s so good and smells so similar to the Oribe! I’m in love. Thank you, thank you!!

Breanne Johnson: This method just saved my sanity! My hair has grown out since this quarantine...and my normal method stopped working. Very frustrated mornings leading to being late to work! Thank you!

Brina F: LOVE THIS! Question, would it be possible to use the same technique with a flat iron? Love you girls! ❤

JudyLovesNaps: these waves looked so good on both of you!! this is a cool new technique for getting waves! do you find them to be long lasting?

jennyupabove: I'm growing out my pixie cut and it's finally long enough to try this!

Sarah Holland: As someone with bone straight hair this was very useful. I don't want to always want to resort to foam rollers in nearly dry hair .

Avery McDowell: Yay! I need more ways to do curls in my life!!

Emelie Brorsson: I do dutch rope braids and I have found that it gives me a similar result but that the waves become more sturdy and hold for multiple days!

C B: My hair looks basically like the final shaken-out product, except it’s usually pretty frizzy with this Georgia humidity. I’m gonna try these tips!

ThisWondrousWorld: Love this! If you have type 2 hair (a/b/c) try a 3/4 inch iron with this technique! Keep the heat low to avoid dents! Also try the Garnier Fructis Texture Tease spray (all hair types) for an affordable alternative!

Rachel Nicholas: I would love to see a video on all the different curl types, and how we can diagnose our own hair type! I know I can probably find this elsewhere on the internet - but nothing’s better than getting it from your friendly neighbourhood hairstylist.

Alyssa Erjavec: These are the prettiest waves I have ever seen!

Alegra M: That sage green color looks so good on you! ♥️

emagana24: Tried this today and it definitely works!

Audrey Suzzane: Officially obsessed with this look!!

Sara Eid: I'm OBSESSED!!! I'm definitely trying it tomorrow

georgia ball: I accidentally did this new method before when trying to do your original method and I have to say I loooooved it!

MeiZ Ink: I love your outro when you guys do it together!!Such a cute sister moment

Kristi Kinasz: I saw a girl in the grocery store who's hair looked like this and I've been trying to copy ever since thanks for this!!

Megan Borrows: This would be helpful for my top back layers. I have a mix of 2B 2C with a little bit of 3B in my back undermost layers. Would probably go for the 3/4 though cause thats closer to my texture. A little Design ME: Bounce Me curl balm and/or the AG: Curl Triger and I'd be good to go

Hannah Gordon: LOVE this. THANK YOU!

Brittany Corkins: Omg I can't wait to try this after I finally get my hair cut for the first time in 5 months on Tuesday!

Paola: you look SO good in curls :)

Katie Breberg: I love this since my hair NEVER comes out cute when I braid it overnight. I just wish long hair didn't take SO long... I only have 25 minutes to do my hair which is how much time it takes me when I curl my hair in big pieces.

Jill Casey: I LOVE the way this turned out! My hair is naturally 2C/3A, do you think this technique would work well? I would love to have the longer and looser waves like Anna Laura, just wondering if it's even possible.

Sophia Casati: Omg you guys are beautiful and have AMAZING hair. I love you guys these vids seriously brighten my day

Master Obi Wan Kenobi: Could you use this technique to touch up your hair when you do braid waves? Btw, can’t wait to try this out! Thanks Kayley!

Jessica Frank: Surface Taffy Whip Sculpting Taffy worked great at my sisters wedding for her braid!
