Hey there today, I'm going to show you how to do these super easy overnight. Heatless curls, all you need to do them is two socks, two elastics and a towel to dry. Your hair, before you start this process, make sure that your hair is super wet and brush through it to make sure that there are absolutely no knots, then split your hair into two sections. I have less hair on one side of my head because of my side part, so I compensate by taking more in the back to that side. Then take one section of hair and start twisting it outward very tightly all the way down, make sure that the twists are smooth and that there are no tangles in the twists, as you do them repeat this process with the other section. Next, take a sock and holding the twists in place, wrap the sock very tightly around the twist pulling on the sock as you do it to keep it tight. Then, when you're done wrapping it take the elastic and tie it around the sock hold onto the sock and we twist your hair tightly such that. You feel your hair twist underneath the sock and then continue to retwist it all the way down. Next repeat, this whole process on the other twist then take your towel and towel dry the twist by twisting them outwards into the towel. When you're done this process retwist your hair, if needed, wait 20 minutes to let the twists set before going to sleep when you do sleep, keep the twist to your sides and avoid sleeping on them directly. Here is how my twist turned out in the morning. If you're like me - and you don't get enough sleep, the hair underneath the sock might not be a hundred percent dry. So right when you wake up slip off the socks and while you're getting ready, let that area dry because your hair has sat in that position. The twists won't fall out after a little bit of time of the socks the twist will dry. Then you want to separate the twists with your fingers as I'm doing here and voila perfect overnight, heatless curls. OT life: Your hair looks amazing! I'm trying this tonight. Hope it works! :)

flrs: wow! this method looks really really easy! I used to twist them around a headband but it takes so much time and theres like a line in my hair too :D going to try this right now! thanks xx

NicoleMatute: TIP!! if your hair doesnt stay in the twist while you sleep it is okay to pin the twist to your head so they dont untwist in the middle of the night. ur curls will be the same as long as you twist till the bottom of the hair and then pin. this method worked beautifully for me since i have layers and normally curling with a curling iron took too long and the sock bun method didnt work because of my layers. i would highly recommend this!! i know BECAUSE I HAVE TRIED IT!

Lindsey Wade: OK everybody who watched this just know that this does work. This is now my everyday hairstyle! If your wondering how the twists stay in, let them set for 20-30 minutes before going to sleep. What I do is take a shower in the morning and do this because I tend to move a lot in my sleep!:) thanks

Felicity Shull: I did this earlier this week & it actually worked! I loved it! thanks for sharing!

Kimz97: Thank you soon much for this vid! My curly hair recently became very flat and lifeless; doing this lets me have the natural style curls I used have!! THANK YOUU!!!!!!!!!

Ayano Nakamura: Love it!! It turns out sooo cute!

Valerie Morales: This worked perfectly on me! It just takes practice to wrap it and twist it right. :)

Sam Honey: so pretty! going to try this tonight.!!!

Dafina Riz: This is so amazing i tried it and it works great thanks so much

taylor1999: This is amazing I'm going to try this tonight!!!

DIY Dalia: Yes! My sister has really curly hair and it works really well on her (she does it every day too). Just make sure you start with your hair super super wet, brush through your hair as you're putting the twists in (no tangles), towel dry your hair after you have the twists in, and let the twists set for 30+ mins before you go to bed. Good luck!

monserrat idk: Thank you so much. I have medium hair and I just came out of the shower and it was damp because i let it dry for a bit so I just put some water on my hair and then did what you did and my twist stayed in place!! I'm doing this everyday!! :D

DIY Dalia: Its a combination of my hair being super wet when I start twisting, the socks which keep tension at the top, and it setting for a bit (especially for the bottom of the twists) before I sleep. I now use Moroccan oil in the twists which also helps :)

Pineapple Queen: Works for me!! Do it everyday and get so many "HOW?!?!!" 's its amazing thank you so much c:

Meagan Hesham: Awesome - going to do this tomorrow! thanks!

DIY Dalia: Thank you! This will work for curly hair as long as the curls aren't too tight. If your hair gets puffy from combing it out but isn't puffy when you put products (like mouse, gel or anything like that) in it, then this will probably work. Just make sure that you start with your hair super wet and make sure there are NO knots in it as you twist it down. You can put leave-in conditioner and hair oil, like Moroccan oil, in the twists as well to help with puffiness. Hope this helps :)

DIY Dalia: @Michelle Davidson Hey girl :)! Its a little confusing to see the difference unless you try it with and without the socks, but basically the socks make the twists stay in by applying pressure to a bigger portion of the twisted hair (than using just elastics would). This makes it easier for the twists to stay in overnight :). Hope this helps!

Amani Winchester: Do this method to hold the twists in place. For those who keep asking "What't the sock for?" its so that the hair tie doesn't leave marks in your hair and it also helps hold the hair in place. Also, twist and twirl are the same thing.

Sonya Morán: This is the most helpful headless curls method I have ever seen thx so much!!!

Angel Amato: I so did this and omg it worked amazingly thank you so much.

Jazz: What I did( because I move alot in my sleep) was grab the ends of the twisted hair and pinned them up on my head. And it worked for me

Olivia Mae: I tried this last night and it worked thank so much and ur gorgeous x

DIY Dalia: This definitely works on curly hair! Just make sure that you start with super wet hair and brush your hair to make sure that there are no tangles while you put in the twists. If your hair is naturally frizzy you can use leave-in conditioner and hair oil on the twists (not your roots). Good luck!

DIY Dalia: Yes my hair is naturally wavy:). This works on some people who have really straight hair, but doesn't on others - it really depends on the person. Some tips to increase the chances of it working: start with your hair super super wet; towel dry after the twists are already in; let the twists set for at least 30 mins before sleeping; use some type of light mouse on the part of your hair that will be in the twists if your hair usually wont hold curls. Good luck and I hope this works for you!

Chloe styles: This is so helpful thank you!

Jordan Rae: To those saying the twists will not stay in place over night: simply take both of them (still twisted) and place one thin hair tie around both twists (keep them together in the same hairtie) in front of your chest.

よっちゃん: I had the same issue, what i did was while my hair was in the twist i crossed the sides and bobby pinned them into my hair so it would stay. It came out great c:

missdrama8: i love how she says process great video it works great for my hair and saved me a lot of time

girlteknoid: I'm going to try the headband method and this method next time. Thank you!

TheAdiva123: For those of you who don't have naturally curly hair, as I don't, just put another sock near the bottom of your twist. and it should hold a bit better. You'll still need to hold them for around 10-15 minutes. But by then you'll hair will just naturally dry in that position!:)

DIY Dalia: A few things make this happen... first, start with your hair super wet. second, twist pretty tightly. Third, wrap the socks really tight... and fourth, sometimes I add hair oil to the twists which also helps. :)

DIY Dalia: Definitely going to be uploading more videos of different braids! I know how to do that braid (plus quite a few others) but haven't gotten around to making the videos yet. Stay tuned! :)

Tierra Monique: Wow that was very helpful I been looking for a video like this one for a long time

Kamilė Miau: soo doing this tonight. The curls are beautiful and polished, and the best is that it's not damaging your hair. I hope it works. :)

McKenna Johnson: Ive been trying and trying to find ways that will actually work for heatless curls and waves so HOPEFULLY this will work for mine. Wish me luck!(:

DIY Dalia: Yes you can! I actually did two socks down once and it was fine. Tip: use REALLY thin socks. Last night I tried it with these really thin summer socks (regular above-ankle length) and after 5 hours of sleeping the twists were pretty dry (usually takes 8 hours). If you use thick socks all the way down there is a high chance that the whole twist will still be wet when you wake up. Let me know how it goes :)

Valeria Guzman: I just did it, hope it turns out good in the morning.. Thank you!

Tess W: LOVE IT!

neena: Trying this right now! My hair is curly/wavy so I'm pretty sure this will work.

DIY Dalia: For my hair, if I let it set for a few minutes in the twists when its super wet, it just doesn't come out. Last night I tried a little bit of Moroccan oil and that really helps too. :)

DIY Dalia: Glad it worked! Sometimes that happens to me (usually because I never get enough sleep and shower at 2am lol). Some new things that have worked for me : 1) after I twist my hair but before I put the sock in, I blow dry my hair for like 5 minutes... then put the sock in and sleep. 2) use a really thin (but same length) summer sock - this helps the part under the sock dry faster. 3) towel dry the part under the sock first before putting the sock on... then towel dry the rest of the twist.

DIY Dalia: My hair is layered too and it still stays, but it depends how far up your layers start. You can also add hair oil (like Moroccan oil) to the twists (not the top part of your hair) which helps a bit too.

DIY Dalia: Hey girl! It should work for you! My sister has super curly hair and it works perfectly for her too. She puts in leave-in conditioner right before she does the twists, and a bit more as needed (when her hair is dry to smooth any frizz). Hair spray probably isn't necessary because since your hair is curly it will probably hold the curls from the twists. One last tip - make sure you start with your hair super super wet! :)

Opal: Super cute curls! :D

anne gill: Hi, I did this method 3 times and it worked once, but when it did work, it was amazing! I was just wondering, is it okay if I leave it to set for a few hours before I go to sleep? because the other 2 times I tried it, the twists fell out :( please reply xx

DIY Dalia: Definitely try this out before you do it for prom! If you try it and its kind of frizzy use some type of hair oil (like Moroccan oil) on the bottom of the twists (if I sleep with my hair wet and down it will be a frizz ball in the morning.. but in the twists its not bad).

Kimberly H: I know it's a bit late, but I got another tip for you to make the twists stay better overnight, especially if your hair isn't that wet anymore. If you twist in different directions, which you normally do anyways, so you twist one side to the left and the other to the right, you can just sure them with an elastic. And because you twisted in opposite directions they don't come undone. This is especially helpful is you're hair is just damp.

Dusk Lemon: Yesss this worked perfectly.. And that's saying something with my hair.

LDaaaaaawgyyyyyy: I do this ALL the time and I always get compliments! ThAnK yOu!!

Jara Carrasco: I don't have a lot of hair and my hair is in a medium length but I'm gonna try this tonight. Hope it works like yours!

DIY Dalia: Thank you for your suggestion - it is exactly what I would have said :). The socks need to be wrapped really tight, and the elastics need to be wound tight as well.

kris jack: it works for me .. thank you so much =)

Natalie Thompson: for all hair above boobs...i twist it starting from the top of my head and do it really tightly from 70%dry hair(like a french braid but just twisting your hair) then using proper clips (ones you used when you were younger) i clip it on top of my head and all around- try not to move too much when sleeping, i find this method works for me and i have thick collar boned length hair :)

Tarah Otto: TIP FOR MY THICK HAIRED LADIES: twist it and tie it ever so often in the from of your face by your chin, just twist away from your face on both sides then tie and repeat until your at the bottom, I'm trying this tonight and I am going to see if I'm successful! I've tried this exact heartless curl method multiple times and it never gets like how hers are but I have hope! You should to!! Don't let your thick ass hair get in the way of what you want to do with it, THERE IS ALWAYS A WAY!!!!

ShmandaPanda98: Thank you for the video hopefully this will work :D Did you tie the ends of the twists with a hair tie because the hair starts to unravel otherwise. I liked and subscribed! <3

DIY Dalia: I do too! Honestly it surprises me that it doesn't come out on me - you just have to twist your hair when its super super wet, towel dry it after that, and let it set for 30+ mins before you sleep. Also, if you wake up and the very bottom isn't perfect (the most common thing that goes wrong with me), then you can just lightly wet the bottom of the twist and it just goes back to perfect/ dries in 15 mins. I hope you try it out and if you do good luck! :D

DIY Dalia: Hahaha. I was honestly really surprised that they stayed in the first time I tried this because it basically seems impossible (I roll around a lot when I sleep). All I can say is make sure your hair is REALLY wet when you start doing the twists, and make sure you twist you hair/ wrap the sock very tightly - by some magic they stay in. :)

DIY Dalia: So happy this works for you!! :D

Michelle Cabello: This is a awsome way to do your hair u r so amazing it works all the time my friends think I do this with a wand lol

DIY Dalia: My hair is really frizzy too but this really tames it. If you use a leave-in conditioner and hair oil (ex. Moroccan oil) in your hair before it goes in the twists (but do NOT do your roots) then this will also really help! Good luck!

iamonlysleeping: I think it is to prevent a "ponytail mark" that is usually left by the hair elastic

DIY Dalia: Yes it will but you just have to make sure that before you start the twists, your hair is super wet with no knots in it. Then as you are doing the twists, make sure that there are no knots once again. It is important that the twists are smooth all the way down (ie. no knots in it) in order for the curls to turn out right. You can also add leave-in conditioner and hair oil to the twists if you have frizziness. :):) Hope this helps

elle: Another way you could do it if u move in your sleep and the twists wont stay is to keep wrapping socks all the way down to the ends so that all of your hair is secured

Maddie Awesome: This is so brilliant!! And ur really pretty!!!! Love ur channel!

DIY Dalia: So glad this worked!!! :D

DIY Dalia: Hahah thank you! Did you try it? I roll around so much I was seriously surprised when I first tried this and it wasn't a failure lol. If they don't stay in for you, try out my same day heatless curls video (link found in the description).,,, Basically you blow dry the twists on a cold heat setting and it turns out almost the same :):)

Nilamm patell: Omg I luv it I'm trying this tonight hope it turns out better than expected..fingers crossed..xx

Julianne Bolanos: But thanks for the idea and showing me that ......... And my curls were FLAWLESS✨every one commented about them at school THANK YOU!!!!

DIY Dalia: My hair is naturally wavy and it turns out curly. My sister has really curly hair and it also turns out curly... the twists make your hair curl - try it out!

lakalakadakabear: Wow.. thats a great technique! But it wouldn't work too well with me because I move around a LOT at night.. i would ruin the twists... great video! :)

DIY Dalia: So glad it worked for you!!!

Gissella Batres: Nice job it helped me big time

VampireNightmare1: when I did this , I twisted my hair on both sides like she instructed, but put them into buns to sleep in because the twists themselves wouldn't stay. hair was curly, but all stuck together in two huge curls. x

Gemma Neela: It worked really well for me

DIY Dalia: Layers can work too depending on how short they are. If your layers start below your ears then this will work like normal when you twist your hair. If some layers are shorter than that, you might need to fix those layers with a curling iron in the morning. Good luck!

DIY Dalia: :D so glad this works for you!!!

Kaity Shay: I have thick, long hair with layers that usually curls okay in a three strand braid overnight, with or without water. But I love the idea of this. What I don't understand is how in the world the twists stay. I'm a sleeper who moves a lot during the night. I've fallen asleep at the top of my bed and woken up about to fall off the bottom, before. Would I get the same results if I did two opposite facing twists on either of my head, twisted them together and tied with an elastic?

Arianna Foto: PERFECT TUTORIAL YOURE FLAWLESS

Nadia Tolozano: THIS WORKS THANKYOU!

Kaitlin Henderson: looks easy : )

DIY Dalia: Yes you could dampen your hair but I have found that you get the best, long-lasting, smooth curls if your hair is super super wet when you start twisting. You could use socks all the way down but it might take a long time to dry - if you do that just make sure you have towel dried the twists really well and that you use really thin socks. Also, you could try starting with super wet hair, twisting, towel drying, blow drying for a new minutes, THEN putting the socks in lol. Good luck!

Yeliz Minni: WOW!! I never knew you could do this thx! Its cool((:

Sabrina Gambini: I'm till determined on getting this mastered for my hair! Lol I think my hair is too thick to have them stay so I'll try separating them in 4(:

Maya C: Omg this is perfect

DIY Dalia: Hey girl! I've used ankle socks before, and they work if you don't have long ones. However, regular long socks do work a bit better (especially if you have thick hair since it lets you wrap the sock a bit tighter).

Rockerchic0130: Can u put a ponytail holder at the end to hold the twist from falling out overnight instead of retwisting it?? Thanks:)

Jazzmin Aaliyah: Love the video it worked for me
