Weekly Natural Hair Routine: Wash Day, Night Care, Hairstyles, Co-Wash Ft. Dove Amplified Textures

It started off strong, but ended really rough, but i'm gon na try my best to have a better week by using my sunday, much more wisely to prep for hopefully a better week, and that means yep. You guessed it not skipping out on wash days and now that i'm thinking about it the weeks i neglect my hair tend to be the weeks. I don't feel my best now i don't mind a bad hair day or two or even three, but when i just go the whole week without doing anything, my confidence is just not the same, not only because i'm looking crazy, but my scalp is dry and itchy And irritated my hair is dry, so i feel like i just look dry whatever. That means, but i just know i'm not taking the best care of myself, at least for me, because hair care plays a big part in my personal self-care. So it's been a fine week of looking dry, but i'm ready to look juicy again, ew that sounded way better in my head anyways. So i'm sure by now most of you know my go-to products and hair brands. Since i pretty much alternate between the same few in most of my hair videos, and if so, you will also know, i prefer to use products made up of mostly or fully natural ingredients and products that are either by a black owned brand or by a brand That clearly, publicly and consistently supports black people, but today i'm going to be using some of the few products that i still like to use, despite the fact that they are not made with all natural ingredients, mostly because of number one, the price it's very affordable number: Two convenience and number three quality. I prefer to use these products in the spring through fall, because once the weather warms up, i usually go through products so much more quickly, because i tend to wash my hair a lot more often since i sweat more, which causes my hair to smell bad and The heat dries my hair up quicker as well, which means i tend to use more product to refresh my hair a lot more often as well. So i like to use the dove amplify textures collection on the days when i need a quick, wash conditioning and styling since it's a lot more affordable and convenient to use in the weeks that i need to freshen. My hair up multiple times due to the hot and humid weather. So, yes, i really really appreciate that and they're starting to create products like this amplified textures that nourishes and cares for all kinds of coils curls waves and protective styles, although it's not quite spring yet it's already warming up where i live. It was like 70 degrees. Yesterday so i decided why not give you an idea of what a hair week during the warmer weather will look like for me. So, first off i do a lot of wash and go's during the spring summer time, because it's just easier for me and one of my favorite product combos for the perfect wash and go is number one. The moisture lock, leaving conditioner, which preps your hair for long lasting definition and moisture and protects against daily styling damage, and then i also wanted to show you like the difference of my hair when the products are on. You can just tell the difference that it does to your hair and i love leave-in conditioners, because they are the best thing to moisturize your hair number two. Now i do this. Sometimes, if i'm caring about definition, i will do these last two steps, which is using the twist in moisture, shaping buttercream, which can be used for wash and go's or twist outs or braid outs. Even and i like to use it as my curl defining cream to help enhance my curls and like make them pop more because the cream is a thicker, it will help to really sculpt my curls rather than having just a leave-in conditioner and then number three. To finish it all off, i like to use the shine and moisture finishing gel, which helps to define my curls and create like a hold on the curls, because it does dry like a little hard. But that's if you use a lot, but i don't mind because it's not like super hard. It just has a little like like cast on it, that you can tell to keep a hold on your curls and it helps to minimize your frizz and it adds lots of shine. So then, after that, i just let my hair air dry. I don't use anything to dry, my hair. I know i get questions about that all the time and and then like magic bam. It'S dry. No, it actually took a while, but obviously once it dries, it shrinks up a little bit. That'S normal! You guys should know by now, hair shrinks up, no matter what products you put into your hair. Your hair is going to shrink a little bit. So, to do that, you can either put your hair in a high pineapple like i'm doing, or you can do the banding method to stretch your hair for the next day. So, okay, i hope i don't mess like it's already getting everywhere. Oh shoot. I don't know. I just feel like being extra today. Okay, so let me be extra, you don't have to put in all this extra stuff, but i don't get dressed up, often nowadays, okay, so when i do i just i just it's not even the holidays, but who says you have to do that during the holidays. You know who said who said who says you're not perfect. I like it, though, look at how cute that looks honestly yeah, it looks cute without it like. Yes, yes, i can admit, and maybe i'm just being extra. Oh, this is going to be a mess. Actually, i'm just trying not to get this all throughout my hair, i'm just wrapping it around my ponytail and then i'm whoo. That is that too extra. I think that was a bit extra and did i really need that? No, but am i going to keep it we'll see, hold on hmm, i mean why not, i don't know a bit too much. I feel like it's a bit too much, but i mean we're already here now, so there's no turning, i back my pimple here. I have a pimple right here is not what you think it is. It'S just a pimple, so you can wear this with or without the fluff, but i'm just feeling like being extra today. So, just let me have my time to shine okay, but it looks really cute without it. It just gives you extra volume. You guys saw the difference between before and after you know so now my hair looks a lot more voluminous uh all right. I think that's it, i'm going to show you my outfit that i'm wearing at home and then that's going to be. Oh, i really want to get like a chain. You know what phase i'm in right. Now, i'm really in the face of uh punk rocker like not even like punk like dark. I think i'm just really into that face. Should i do anything to my baby hairs. I really don't know what's the point because they're hidden, but i guess we can do something right here. I really want this to lay flat like i want it to be like flat. You know, i'm pretty sure i could put like a. Would you call it a scarf down just a little lighter? Oh, it's so cute. My lips are dry, though. Okay, i'm gon na put some lip gloss on and then i'm gon na show you the full results and then that's gon na be it. I put some lip gloss on and i decided i'm gon na just lay this flat just for a little while i have a little scarf hey that would have been cute. If i would have. Oh my gosh, don't give me any ideas. No, no! I'M not doing it wait. No! No! I guess it is worth it there. We go. Hopefully that worked out okay! Well, i could do i could do this style. Why am i i can't move that? Okay over there, i'm extremely exhausted, because i've been editing all day and i went to work today. I actually got out of the house for once in a couple of days, it's a microphone even on thank the lord. So, for the first time in a while, it was actually hot, it was like 60 degrees and uh, my hair, usually after i do a style, if i'm doing like a style that requires me to pull apart my hair and manipulate my hair whatever, then, it kind Of messes up the curls, obviously with me being out, you know babysitting running around blah blah blah, so my hair is kind of like to get to that point where okay, but it definitely feels like it, needs some moisture so tomorrow, manana i'm going to do a Quick refreshing before i actually refresh my hair aka co-wash, my hair, which is going to be on thursday, but we going to try to push through for like another day um and i don't know maybe tomorrow i can try ew that doesn't look cute. Also. I have this scalp tonic thing, that's supposed to boost hydration and all that stuff like that. I probably should have put it in tonight from way too tired. To be honest, so uh we're just gon na do all that tomorrow i look like a fortune, teller or something okay. I'M gon na go to sleep now good night, so so i'm finally talking now in real life and real person and real, not a voiceover. I just wanted to conclude the video with my final thoughts on dove.
