To say i've done it all would be a serious, serious understatement. I have literally done it all. I'Ve done it all. Let'S take a little walk down memory lane shall we. I have had black hair brown, hair, blonde red and even a violet-based red, which was horrendous on my skin tone. I'Ve been short, long, mid length, i've had braids, i've had extensions, i've done everything. I have made very questionable style decisions and i have failed horribly many. Many many many times, and one thing i've done repeatedly embarrassingly enough - is assault, my hair with chemicals and hot tools and melt it to the ground. If you have done that, don't feel too bad about it, because nearly everyone who has a passion for hair has melted their hair off at some point in their life. Today, i'm going to talk about some ways to fix and to help heal your over processed bleached. Sad cotton, ball: fuzzy hair - let's go tip number one - is to lay off the hot tools you guys once you've gotten to the point of no return. You have to lay off the hot tools and i know that it just sucks so badly. But it's it's honestly. Just the truth, you have to avoid hot blow dryers super hot showers, straightener and other hot tools, at least until your hair is a little bit healthier and stronger to handle it. If you don't do that, you're just going to make your hair look worse and worse and worse and worse over time and you're going to eventually end up losing like all your hair, i totally get that this is hard to do when your hair is sopping, wet And you can't dry it and it extra sucks if your hair is super frizzy and doesn't air dry well like mine, so i found a solution for you that ended up on my doorstep and it's kind of awesome. This tool is called the zuvi hairdryer and when they first sent it to me, i was a bit skeptical, because this blow dryer doesn't have heating coils and i was worried. It wouldn't be able to style my hair. I really thought like there's no freaking way. If this doesn't get like crazy hot, it's not gon na work. For me, it's not gon na work for a lot of people, but honestly i was wrong after trying it for a few months and really looking into the technology. I must admit that i'm actually pretty impressed with it. This is really great for people who want to style their hair but want to stop heat damage and also keep their hair super healthy or for people whose hair just can't handle heat damage. At the current moment, you can get something like this: you can start using it, you can style your hair and you can keep it long-term to maintain the health of your hair over time. So you're, probably thinking there are a million blow dryers out there. So what makes this blow dryer different right like how is this any different than any other blow dryer? That claims to be okay for the hair? So, like i said this blow, dryer does not have heating coils, so it uses something called light care technology. That is actually inspired by nature, so what it does is it mimics natural evaporation from sunlight and wind, so traditional blow dryers use extreme heat wind to dry the hair. So it's super super hot wind that dries the hair, zuvi halo uses light energy to quickly dry. The water on the surface of the hair, while leaving the inside of the hair, hydrated and then thus healthy, this point-to-point light heat transfer can evaporate the moisture on the hair surface, retain the moisture inside the hair core and protect the health of the hair long term. It'S so interesting and unique as technology evolves when it comes to hair care. There'S so many like really cool things that are coming out so with zuvi. Their slogan is dry, with light for healthier and shinier hair. So the way that you have to think about it is like air drying, your hair on a walk outside, but at a much much faster rate, it's the same process as air drying, your hair naturally, but turbo speed. I'Ve noticed when using this blow, dryer that my hair really feels so soft and much more hydrated. So if you've melted your hair or you just want to avoid damage at all costs, this really could be the solution for you. If you want to check it out, i will leave a link to the zoobie hairdryer in my pinned. Comment below tip number two is to go as long as you can in between washes, so washing really does strip the hair of natural, moistures and oils found on the scalp, and it dries the hair out so get yourself a solid shower cap, so you can still Take a shower every day, but avoid getting your hair wet. I kind of like to think of this almost like washing your clothes, the more you wash your clothes, the more wear and tear they have when you buy something new. It looks amazing and looks new and nice and fresh, and you wash it 30 times, and it starts to get wear and tear hair is a lot like that. If your hair is in a really damaged state, you do want to stretch out those washing sessions as best as you can. So how do you do that so using a dry shampoo is a great way to stretch out your washing sessions so immediately after your hair dries from the first wash so today, for example, immediately when my hair was dry, i applied a dry shampoo, so there's actually A layer already on the clean hair ready to absorb oil, then every morning you can part your hair. You can apply your dry shampoo throughout the layers. Let it set for a few minutes, let it absorb and then brush it out from roots to ends tip number. Three is to experiment with heatless hairstyles, so since you're trying not to heat style and not to wet your hair experiment with some heatless hairstyles that you can do that will still make you look really cute and put together but doesn't involve any styling tools. I did a video recently on two minute: easy heatless hairstyles with hair, that's mostly down, if you want me to make a heatless hairstyle video using dirty hair. So here that's not freshly washed hair, that's really greasy! Let me know in the comment section - and i can totally do that for you, because i know that around day two or three it starts to get very hard not to pull out your hot tulle or not to just give in and wash and blow it out. Especially if you have fine hair texture like me, it starts to get really tough around day two or three to look cute. So if you want a video on that leave it in the comment section. But if you want a video right now - and i haven't had a chance to make the video, yet if you type in heatless hairstyle ideas on dry hair on youtube, you will also get lots of videos popping up with some really great looks that work on greasy Hair these creators beat me to it. They beat me to it, but they have some great ideas. I'Ve been watching them last night when i was doing some research for this video and there's some really cute ideas out there. So if you want to know what they are now, look it up on youtube youtube has literally everything. One extra little tip here is to start using some cute accessories like bandanas and headbands, because it can hide frizz very well, but it still allows you to look super cute and trendy hide. The frizz hide the grease stretch out your wash and still look adorable in your day to day life tip number four is to use a great treatment mask and also to use a heat cap to warm up your treatment mask. So you can buy a whole array of different heat caps on amazon and you can also find actually a good cordless one on the keratin.com website. I'Ve recently been looking into some of their products and i saw that they have a cordless heat cap, which is very, very cool. So you just microwave this heat cap, it's nice and warm. You apply your treatment mask and then you put this on for 5 or 10 or 15 minutes when you're doing a treatment. Mask heat actually helps your hair absorb nutrients, so spending a little extra time getting out of the shower towel drying, applying the treatment mask and then heating it up does actually make a huge difference to the benefits that you get from your treatment mask itself. Along with this tip, i also want to mention that, when your hair is in a super damaged state, every single product you use, should support that damage. So your shampoo, your conditioner, your treatment mask your smoothing cream. Everything should be tailored to dry damaged, stressed, hair. So read the label and make sure that you are catering. Your hair care routine towards repair products really do make an enormous difference, so choose the ones that will give you maximum benefit based on the problems you are experiencing. If you have hair loss use products for hair loss, if you need volume use products for volume, if you have dry, damaged, melty bleached out, hair use products for dry, damaged, melty, bleached out hair tip number five is stop. Stop stop! Stop! I'M serious! Stop dyeing your hair with anything that is stronger than a semi-permanent die and do not do not do not do it at home. I am all for home, diy stuff. I have a whole playlist on box dye, but when your hair is in a rough state, you have to go to a professional and you also have to get regular trims every. I would say, 8 to 12 weeks, maybe even more if you've gone too far. You'Re gon na lose length you just are, and let me tell you holding on to fried melty ends. Will literally do you no good? I always think of split ends like holes and pantyhose. If you let the hole live there, it will zip up the pantyhose and ruin everything damaged ends are the same. They will zip up the hair shaft and they will ruin your hair, so you've got to cut that off. I know so many of my clients really want to hold on to it, but long term. It'S going to wreck your hair, just cut it off, cut it off and start again learn from your mistakes repair as much as you can and then move on and try not to be like me and repeat the mistake a hundred more times. I hope you found these tips to be tangible and really helpful if you have any questions, leave them in the comments section, because as soon as i launch a video, i hang out in the comments for pretty much the whole day and i try to respond to As many of you guys as i can, as you know, i'm gabby your hair, stylist bestie i'll catch you next week, bye

David Revils: As a fellow hairdresser I love your channel you’re information is concise and informative. Actually love how you warn people that as hairdressers we often do crazy things to our own hair but we have the best products, tools and unlimited services at our fingertips when most people may not so it’s not worth the risk of abusing your hair.

Corrina Z: My hair is dry & thin. At 42 I get grey hairs in every 4 weeks, so I need touch ups. I still struggle keeping my hair soft enough & adding shine. Even between washes. Would love recommendations for keeping hair healthy & using reasonably priced products for softness & shine

Rubi Potter: Hi Gabi, thanks for this video. Yes! I’d love a video about how to style dirty hair ☺️.

Linda Popovic: Hi, love all your videos! I wish you had a discount code for this hair dryer because it sounds amazing. I just went to their website and it’s pretty expensive!

So Moretti: Hi, Gabi. I love your videos and tips. I've been having my hair chemically treated for years now. I have it "treated" in the salon with a product called London New York, a kind of brazilian blowout. My hair is quite fine, but I have a lot of it. It's naturally wavy/curly, but not really defined, it's just like a big mass of hair undefined and with a lot of volume, really hard to deal with. That's why I have it treated. I do not have it died and avoid heat tools as much as possible. After I had a surgery in 2018, it felt like my hair had a chemichal cut and it shed a lot. After that, it became even more unruly. I really wish I could stop the brazilian blowout, but I just don't know how. By the way, I live in Brazil, on the beach ( santos), so it's Hot and humid and I go to the gym everyday. Another thing, my hair is apparently healthy, I have the brazilian blowout done every 3 to 4 months.

LoweyLo: Hi Gabi, love your channel and hearing the candid truth about your journey. Thank you!! I have a random question and that is, I understand that stylists always recommend that in order for your hair to grow, you have to trim it every 3 months or so. The part that confuses me is that hair grows from the top so what does trimming the bottom have to do with it??? I have always loved long hair and every time it grows, I’m told to trim the ends. Wah!! Thanks in advance

DMAC Blueairwater: Thank you for this video! I am so excited that Penn Smith talked about you in her video! My hair is becoming very fine and fragile. Last March, I cut off a lot of damaged length from my hair and began wearing my wavy/curly layered mid-length hair in its more natural state to give it a chance to heal, but I still need to use products and my hair dryer with a diffuser to be able to live with the results. I feel that it's less damaging than pulling my hair with a round brush, right? But I really can't imagine doing anything less. Because the long section of my hair is messed up after sleeping on it (the top is okay), I end up spraying the length with my water spritzer and then reapply product and re-dry with the diffuser and my fingers. I don't know how else to live with my hair, short of pulling it up, which is okay sometimes, or cutting it off (not an option I would want!). I can't grow out the layers completely because it becomes flat and just overwhelms my face. What would you tell someone like me?? It seems to me that my hair is too much work and I don't really know a way around that to be able to tolerate what it looks like. I apologize for the long comment, but what am I doing wrong? Maybe the wrong style? Thoughts?? Thank you!

Donna Landolina: Hi Gabi! Thank you for another informative video. I like to air dry my hair especially during the warm weather. I have fine hair but a lot of it.

Gretchen Mosetter: I've always stayed away from aerosol dry shampoo due to the alcohol factor… I've always thought that alcohol really dries out your hair… Which when damaged you want to avoid, correct? Thank you so much for your videos and I would love to see one on styling dirty hair!❤️

RainbowsnGore: I used to let my hair air dry naturally, to avoid heat damage - as my hair's already damaged from bleaching. It always came out super frizzy, until I discovered air dry cream. So after washing, I gently squeeze out the extra water and pat dry with a towel, then wrap it in a microfiber hair wrap for like 20 more minutes to absorb even more water before applying an air dry cream and letting it air dry on its own. A lot less frizz that way for me, without the use of heat tools to tame it. You'll just have to accept the way your hair falls on its own when it dries. Also start from ends and work up with the cream, or else you'll have flat hair and risk being oily (especially with super fine hair like me). A little goes a long way. This won't work for everyone, everyone's hair is different, but just another tip thrown out there for anyone who wants it. (I let it air dry indoors, not sure how this works if you let it air dry while going out)

Vanessa Malik: Hi Gabi, Yes, please make a video on how to style dirty hair. Thanks for all the great tips, I'm also very intrigued by the hair dryer.

kyby5179: Thank you again for another great video! I was about to chop my super long hair all the way up my ears because I was hopeless and your tips stopped that and made me try to save my hair first. I’ll see how it goes and if all else fails, I could just model my new hairstyle to yours, short is cute anyway. Your the best and I really mean it

Allyson L'Abbate: Your content is incredibly helpful. SOOOO happy I found you! I have very similar hair as you and am hoping you could do a video using the diffuser on the ZUVI dryer. I have the Dyson airwrap set but would seriously consider splurging once more if the diffuser is worthwhile. Thank you!

Zohra Masani: Gaby!! Omg you the best!!! I am in love with your video!! Yes, we definitely want a video from you for heatless hairstyles on dirty hair

Deb M: Gabi I have been watching every video you have made since I found your channel about 2 months ago. My hair is so similar to yours. I was so happy to see what your hair looks like when it's wet and also when it is air dried because you have the same amount of curl and frizz that I have, and now I have learned from you how to control it and make it smooth! I would like to see a video on how you style your hair when it is dirty! Thanks!!!

Norma: New here and I just subscribed. Love your vids and they are extremely informative, very helpful and easy to follow and let's not forget you are just absolutely beautiful. I've been "Gray Hair Don't Care" lol since the pandemic, and one of the biggest problems that the gray hair community ladies have is that when we use heating tools it makes our gray hair yellow. I know you don't have gray hair, but I was wondering if this new heating tool would be good for the "gray hair community"? Your opinion would be greatly appreciated :))). Thank you very much and big hugs going your way. It would be really great if you would also do a "Heatless Hairstyles" video.

Patrycja Andrzejewska: Girl, your hair looks amazing. Could you please do a bleaching and toning tutorial?? I've been dying to see it for so long

Mary E: Thank you for another great video. I blow dry my super fine hair on lower setting until slightly damp and let it air dry from there. It's much healthier without the styling tools especially around my face. Will check out the heatless styling video.

Music Lover: Yes, greasy hair styling tutorials, please! Just washed my hair today. Last wash was 5 days ago. Yesterday was barely acceptable, so wore a hat. It was fine but….a cute style will be better!

AC Haley: Thanks for a great vid! I too have done it all an am now 58 and finally enjoying my (still natural dark, not yet grey) fine curly hair for what it is. I never shampoo anymore. I do brush thoroughly each day and occasionally rinse well massaging the scalp thoroughly and condition. But each day after brushing I just dampen and scrunch and the curls are so pretty. I never enjoyed them at all! I am a retired hairdresser….liscensed through a high school cosmetology program in 1982! Anyway, great vid Gabi! ⭐️❤️⭐️⭐️

TheJessy8888: Helpful as always... never knew about the dry shampoo trick just after a blow dry, tried it and it did work! My hair can get greasy on my wash day after i blow dry, with this trick it stood "ungreasy" for longer... so thank you.

Glam Girl Gabi: Thank you for watching hair besties! If you severely damaged your hair, what made it get like that? Bleach? Hot tools? Let's chat! K Cam: Hi Gaby, just ordered my Zuvi too . I found Olaplex transformed my hair quality for the good. Was home dying with ammonia free during lockdown and just went back to salon dying - after 2 Aveda dyes I noticed my hair becoming drier and course - so disappointed! They use less ammonia I believe so thought that ok. I’ve got increasing greys and need the coverage as anything else fades to a red too soon in my brunette hair. Any tips please? Im in the UK.

Jane Bennett: Air drying is a hard no for fine high porosity hair like mine. Looks awful!

Gerri Carney: So what semi permanent dye can be used on grey hair? I love all your videos❤️

Lucille M: Good Morning Gabi I’ve been watching you for a month now and I’m loving your uploads and information. You’re the sweetest. Have you ever used Madison Reed hair dye kits? I bought one but have been on the fence to use it. At this moment I can’t afford to pay so much money at the salon to get it done. Just thought I’d ask your opinion. Thank you & have a wonderful day. ~Lucille~

Melissa D: Love this! And your earrings are so cute! Hey, I just got my MD hair kit and used it for the first time this morning. Hoping that helps too.

Ashley Ashley: The only hair tool anyone needs is a Dyson Air Wrap… best beauty purchase I have ever made!! Curl your hair with it then pin curl your hair to set the curl and you will get an amazing look.

Mrs B: Good morning Thanks so much for the informative video. What is your opinion about Brazilian blowouts and Keratin ? I’m from Brazil and when I went there I did it. I really loved it . Thanks

Eve: I needed this! I am in the middle of going from a level 4 to my natural level 8-9 - and my hair is waist-length. Wish me luck!

Nancy Lyon-Gray: #1 check (When I lived in Scottsdale, AZ, I'd walk out to the car and my hair would be dry! hahahaha), 2. Only wash once a week - love dry shampoo, 3. Video please, 4. Got treatment mask! 5. Uh oh. My stylist bleaches me big time but she is awesome. 6. YOU ARE GORGEOUS! Thank you!

Cocoa Mode: Question. When exactly do I do the hair mask? I shampoo (twice), conditioner for 3 minutes. Then do the hair mask (with heated cap for 30 minutes)? Yes I've watched all the quizzes lol

Terence Healy: I'm a 60 year old woman. I've always had fine hair but always enjoyed a great bob style haircut and color. But I've noticed my hair on top is getting thinner & I seem to be losing more hair when I brush or wash it then ever before. I was considering a body wave. Do you think 5hat my hair can handle this, do you recommend any special shampoo that can really deliver volume. Thank you Elaine

Silvia Rodriguez: I’d love the video of hairstyles for dirty hair!

April B: a video on the different types of damage and some suggestions of of treatments for them would be great.

dm dm: How about oil treatments? What kind of oils should we use for our hair and our scalp? Nice tips and very much needed especially right now will this heat going on almost everywhere in the world.

miss kitty: I need a hairstyle when my hair is really frizzy! But would work for a Diamond face shape. My hair has lost its curl pattern due to damage and desert living. It's very porous too. So, I can't wear my curls anymore I'm using Olaplex alot which tends to make my hair flat & straight but stronger and not brittle. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated! Thank you!❤

Turra Gorman: Gabi I love your videos! You are the best. You are truth and know your craft. Thanks for sharing and caring.

silvia herrera: I love listening to your video and gaining some perspective and ideas.

Kings Mom831: Hi Gabi, can you do a review/comparison of the Zuvi vs Dyson blow dryers?

Patsy Johnson: I’ve been using masks etc trying get my hair back healthy but keeps getting drier? I’m hearing you can have protein over load ? How do I tell if I do ? I’ve never had this issue before with my hair?

Sara B: Can you recommend a dry shampoo for us gals with really dark brown hair? I'm not a fan of the ones made for dark hair. They have some sort of a dark dye in them that rubs off on my pillowcases and my hands.

sarikatimmi: i feel like my hair has gotten worse since i stopped heat styling (since start of pandemic ive stopped). it almost seems like not sealing the hair cuticle while blow drying with a brush makes it look dull and frizzy

MsGlamazon: Would this work with olaplex 3 when using it as a pre wash treatment

Seamstressed: My heatless hairstyle: the feather duster your grandma mishandled for over 50 years.

Monica Cancel: Hi. I have been watching your videos because you give so much advice to those like me with thin frizzy hair. I have been trying not to blow dry my hair but I notice that the frizzy on top of my hair is very hard to manage. I have a Dyson airwrap. Do you think If I use my airwrap just to smooth the top of my hair will be ok and I won’t be doing a lot of damage? My hair is the type that breaks and won’t get pass shoulder length

Brad Lombardo: Need heatless curly hair ,frizzy ideas please . Thank u

james olson: I always air dry and when I blow dry I use the cool setting.

Ken Leung: Which heat setting you using on your heat tools? Because you using heat tools curl your hair very high heat setting on your fine texture hair.

Dsl Art: I think I will air dry at almost $500 Canadian !

Loves Dogs: Yes, Dirty hair tips please. Great tips Gabi, and thank you for the heat cap idea, I will pick oneup and will use your link when I do.

Michael Halbritter: Your hair looks great!

Pinkie's Art and Craft: Hiii!! I'm from Portugal. I am new to ur channel i just followed ur method of cutting perfect curtain bangs and now they look perfect on me. Thank you soooo much.

susan anand: Hi Gabi what about Dyson Airwrap is it a safe tool to blow dry compared to the Zuvi hair dryer

jamba jackson: You are gorgeous I love your earrings and I love your hair tucked behind your ears with a Sleek middle part how you get your hair to stay behind your ears like that

erica m: Random question! Where did you get the green top in the scarf / bandana clip? I love that shade!

Lauren Ripley: I use k18. It's helped my damaged hair so much.

Kj Jannat: Gabi what about doing a Brazilian blowout on fine thin hair?Should I do it or not?

Rachelle Bourque: Yaaaaas! Weeks before my wedding‍♀️‍♀️

fifi msp: I just ordered my Zuvi.

ranae campbell: I thought you liked the SRI Dry Q ?

Scipio: Girl your hair looks like that after air drying because it is wavy...

Kelly Andrade: Hi, You mentioned a smoothing cream. Is that for fly-aways and sleek hairstyles like the one you’re wearing in your video today? Can you recommend one? My hair type is similar to yours. Thx! P.S. Love your earrings❣️

imran Mahmood: Hi I'm new
