This Is The Trick That Will Help You Grow That Long Natural Hair | Locking My 4C Hair After 7 Years

Hello family welcome back to my channel in today's video, I'm finally going to be taking a step in a direction. I wanted to go for a really long time. The title of this video is not click baits. I have actually locked my hair and I will get into all of the details shortly. This is what my hair is looking like and as at the time I shot this video, we were almost at three weeks into our local Journey, so I started my luck Journey Through The two-strand Twist method. I'Ve started my log journey in several videos on this channel. I think at least three, but I've never quite gotten past one week of having the locks in. But this time I made sure I did sufficient research and I was able to pick a size of Vlogs that I knew was going to be versatile for me and terms of what I wanted. So in this video I'm going to Simply count my logs since I made the twist I've not counted them, so I have no idea how many they are, I'm going to Simply count them to note the number I opted for micro logs. Initially, I thought I was going to go for free form logs, that's the really big ones, but I realized that I was going to still be styling. My hair and I wanted to have that versatility. I wanted to be able to basically do whatever I wanted with my hair, when I wanted to do it, so I opted for micro, logs micro logs are just a little bigger than sisterlocks guys, it's a whole thing and it's an entirely different Journey from the natural Hair Journey, but Micro logs are a little bigger than tister logs, and so, as you can see, my locks are not particularly small. They are not as small as sisterlocks would look, and even with micro logs, there are different sizes, but as long as your locks are anywhere from 150 to 400 and upwards, then you can call them micro logs. So, like I said said, I've not counted the twist since I made them and that's what I'm going to do today. I started by applying some whipped shea butter to my hair with rocks you're not supposed to use too much product but whipped. Shea butter is light and it won't cause too much buildup. So I started with whipped shea butter as you saw, and then I'm going ahead to divide my hair into four sections. I'M going to be counting the log starting with each of the sections, so I'm just trying to see what's happening at the back. When I twisted my hair, I did not knot my roots that I did not make sure the roots were locked, that's how they do it when you want to lock your hair permanently. I did not do that for the roots of my hair. I just Twisted the way I would to strand twist and I left it and because I did not do that. My roots have gotten frizzy really fast. I mentioned that my locks would be three weeks in a couple of days and between the time that I installed the twist first and now I've had to wash this so I wash my hair once a week. Typically, I wash my hair once a week, so I maintain that, for the new looks because I did not tie my roots up, my roots got frizzy really fast, but I'm going to retie them and make sure I film and upload how I do that. I'M also going to try and film a wash day for you guys. I thought I'd be able to film the first wash day, but I watched the impromptu. As you guys know, I'm I'm active person. I go to the gym, so I sweat a lot on my scalp, and so I could not wait until it was convenient for me to wash, but I'm going to go ahead and count these locks now and you guys should come stand with me, foreign. I decided to go for micro logs, I did mention, and if you cannotice, all of the logs are basically the same size except for the back of my head and the front where the locks are smaller, because the hair on that part of my hair is smaller. But for this particular time all of the logs are the same size compared to the pictures on the left. So what I did was I started by making a straight line down the back of my head. I learned that when you're getting logs unless you're getting free foam blocked, it's very important to make sure you follow a grid pattern to help to give your looks definition and to help to give them a good shape. So I started by patting a line down the middle of my head and then I did what I usually do when I want to install chunky, braids or chunky twist. I divided my hair into about eight sections on each side of my head after patting it down the middle. If I can find the clip, I will insert it on the left, but after I did that I went ahead to twist up each of the sections and then I proceeded to lock my hair that do the micro logs, starting from the back and working my way To the front, apart from that, the entire process took over 10 hours, so I started about 2 p.m, on a Sunday and finished at about 11 A.M. On a Monday - and I started by washing my hair after washing my hair, I did not wait for it to air dry. I dried it and then I proceeded to start twisting after twisting. I dusted my ends, which means that I clipped my ends or I gave my hair a trim and that really helped to prevent frizz to prevent snags. So I'm really glad I did that afterwards. I just continued to finish up the Twist and, as you can see, the twists are separate from each other. They are not joined together if they have not. Given my hair, a trim, I usually trim just once a year and I had trimmed in January, but for this purpose I decided to go ahead and trim. Since I knew I was not going to be getting a trim again anytime soon. At the end of the day, I can't remember how many logs exactly were in each of these four sections, but I had a total of 230 logs. I have a total of 230 logs, so that is my starting number. Typically, I also learned that, as your log through some of them may get joined together and some other things, but I'm going to be watching and I'm going to be updating you guys I'll also be posting about my routine and any other information that you guys would Need to know if you'd like more videos on this journey, I'll definitely be bringing them, but also comments down below. If you have any questions comment down below and the fact that I'm switching to logs does not particularly mean I will no longer be posting natural hair content, I'm still a hair stylist. So I'm still going to be posting natural hair content, either using other people as models for my demonstrations or you know just stuff that has still worked for me over time. I'Ve been natural for over seven years, and I have a lot of experience in that Dimension and I'm starting a new journey and I'll still gather more experience in terms of Vlogs. So there is always enough knowledge to share with you guys, but for now this one is just about me counting these logs and just letting you guys know the number and keeping you guys updated on this journey. Foreign foreign foreign. Thank you, and now we're done with our full head count and when I had to pack my logs back into four typically, I keep them stretched by banding them. But I know your time is going to come when I'm not going to be able to keep them stretched anymore. I know they're going to shrink a lot more than this, so I'm just also going to keep you guys updated on that, but for now that's about it for this video guys. Thank you so much for watching kindly hit that subscribe button if you've not already done so and if you're new to the channel. Thank you for joining me for my old subscribers. Thank you so much for joining me for another video. I will see you guys in my next one bye, guys, foreign
