5 Cute Braid Hairstyles You Must Try For School Or Work!

Hello welcome back my channel and today you're watching dress up with jess and in today's video i'm going to be doing some braid hairstyles for school or work or whatever, because of course you can wear hairstyles anywhere. So i just didn't want to include it in my back to school hairstyle video because it would have been so much longer. So i try to make a separate video for some braid hairstyles. I say i can't do all of them in this one too. So this is just going to be some bright hairstyles, i'm showing you today that i thought um. You know our classic and something like easy to do but still makes you look like you put some effort in it. So not further ado we'll get started. I want to start by saying i'm not perfect at braiding hairstyles, so i'll just show you tutorial how to do it. The best i can, but you get the idea. Hopefully, these give you ideas: okay, so the first hairstyle you start by brushing the side of your hair that you want to braid make this um side. French braid. You know like a regular braid, take three sections on this. One side take the front section and cross over the middle section and take the back section and cross it over the middle section for the with the front section, we're going to um start adding hair to that section. So take the front section and add some hair. This um the closest to you you're, going to cross that um over the middle section, and then this and then the same thing with the the back section. Add some hair to it and then put it over the middle section. Make sure while you're doing this make sure you tighten it and make it tighter. So so it's not loose so stay intact and, just repeat these steps make sure, while you're crossing over the section to smooth out the hair. So it doesn't bubble up when you added in all the hair you're going to want to just do a regular braid, three strand, braid and, of course, put a hair tie or elastic, tie it off and then, lastly, you can pull and tug out the the braid. The sections to make them thicker or a fuller look. I think this one was isn't that hard, this french braid side, hair straw, um, definitely easier than doing from the back of the head, because it's on the side, it makes it easier to do it on yourself. So definitely a cute look. I definitely will do it for work because i'm not in school anymore, but if you're school definitely cute look for school as well. Okay, so this one it's optional, you don't have to have a french braid on the side. I just like made it another style instead of just having a simple side: french toe braid. I just thought - maybe we can add a little more definition with the french braid on top and then it goes into a fishtail braid which i'll be showing you how to do right now. So you put a hair tie this thumbs. You know separate it, you could do elastic or hair tie wherever you have you're going to take two sections from that side: ponytail instead of three sections like a regular um braid, it's gon na be two sections and then for one section we can start with. You know the bottom take the bottom section like the bottom like hair and cross it over, and you take the top section and you cross it over and add to the other section. We'Re basically doing is you're, adding hair to one side to another. Like uh. You know like how you would braid, but it's gon na be two big sections. You can see how how it is. I'M not gon na explain things, but this is, you can just see me doing it basically to understand and miss and it's important to make sure you keep it tight. So it doesn't fall out. You don't want it loose because it won't look right. You want to look like a fishtail braid fast forward because it does. It is a long process, but it's worth that and at the end, because it does look cool and unique. I don't really see much people do these this hairstyle or this this fishtail braid. I don't really see me, many people do it. It does take time and i've been doing it actually, since high school. I started doing it like my freshman year, like i seen this girl in one of my classes. She had twin french braids and i you know. Obviously i thought it looked cute. So that's why i decided i wanted to learn how to do it. I did exactly the same thing. I looked it up online. How to do it on youtube and did the tutorial so practice makes perfect. I wasn't perfect at first, but now i'm good at it. It'S been years. So once you get towards the end, when it starts looking like a regular braid, it depends. You know your desired length, because sometimes it's a cool look where you leave out a lot of hair. It doesn't have to be a full french braid, there's nothing that long, but i kept going to where it started starts. Looking like a regular braid, so i just stopped had stopped there. So don't forget, you can keep it if you want, like the hair tie in the top top, but i took it out separate it make it loose and loosen it up. You know like pull out a little bit to make it look more natural. I think it looks cute, definitely something i wore in school and for work, but you know just it is time consuming, so i should mention these hair showers aren't like quick but they're, not like too hard. It just takes um practice. I believe so that was the fishtail braid one of my favorite for the next one. It'S going to be just a fishtail braid like this, but it's not going to be the side this time it's going to be the back of your head. It'S a classic sure. You guys seen it around people wearing it. I just thought to mention it, so maybe you guys can think about getting a try if you haven't already so you do what you did basically earlier with the fishtail braid you're, going to take your three sections like usual and do like a regular braid at the Beginning at first, but then you'll have to take hair from each side and overlap them. You know over the middle just like a regular braid but you're adding hair going over yeah. So i don't think i have to show this whole thing i'll fast forward, but make sure you keep it tight as well. Of course, as you would for any brain, i i got ta say this was here it's like an arm workout for sure. Like people say, that's an arm workout for sure my hands were dead after this, especially when i was doing five different hairstyles in a row. So i don't know you want to be doing that usually like in a day. So it's more painful for me once you get all the hair, then you do the you know the regular braid so mine's a little bit messy. I i can tell but like i said, i'm not the perfect at it. I don't think anyone's, not everyone's perfect at it. Let'S watch these videos as well so hope. I know you guys can relate to this. So you know we're all learning. It'S a peanut progress for everyone, we're all in this together, honestly we're looking at it now from the video. It'S not that bad! Just you know a little bit hair sticking out, but i think i did a good job looking back at it now, because i couldn't really see the back of my head until i look at the video but yeah holy crap, so, okay, so the next one, i'm Gon na do twin fishtail braids, so just like what we did earlier with the side, but you don't have to do like the french braid. On top i mean you can, if you want to so it's the same thing, we did the first hairstyle. I showed you, but you stopped there but yeah so yeah. This is a classic. Why i usually wear you're gon na tie both hair ties on both sides. You know separate them ball, so we're gon na be braiding them, so so you're just gon na do what you did in the the second um hairstyle, which was the fishtail braids. Well, i didn't show the whole thing, but you get it. You take the two sections and you're gon na add hair on one to one side to the next back and forth. So i did the next side. I skipped it, but now we take out the hair ties now i had a little difficulty with one hair tie, because i guess i braided it with it. That'S what not to do you'll just have to um put elastic and you can cut the elastic or usually i actually don't even use a hair tie, but as a beginner, you should use a hair tie to help it stay. You know still so yeah, my bad. Just try not to braid the hair tie with it, but then the other one it came off easily. So this is what you're supposed to do. So what next do is you can make it fuller, or you know, thicker gives it some volume for this fishtail braid. Like i said earlier, this was one this hairstyle i wore in high school. I definitely one of my favorite i'll definitely have to show a picture of me with this hairstyle. It does take effort, but not like too much it just as long as once you learn know how to do it. Then you got it for me: okay, so for the next one, what i did uh one you're gon na middle part. It first actually and then take one side and wrap it in a hair tie. You know tie it off, so it doesn't get mixed in the other side and then what i'm doing right now is you take a like a section, a small section, like a triangle section, on the top of your head and you're, going to do a fishtail braid Basic again, you know: first, you do the first normal braid like one side over the middle, then the other side over the middle and then then you start doing the adding the hair taking hair from the side closes and adding it and then going over the middle From each side each section you know you know suggest by now so i'll just fast forward miss you also make sure you keep it tight and try to keep your hands up because it's hard to keep your hands up, but you have to keep it up or It'Ll start um, going to the side like you don't depends where you want the braid. I noticed that because it was not. My first attempt attempt this. Actually, my second attempt at it because it did not look right the first time, so i did the second time so like i said, i'm not perfect at this, so this is a trial and error for everyone, but i i got ta say i did wear this Hairstyle for rest of the day, though, looking at it now from the video, it actually doesn't. Look that bad. I just didn't, do a good middle part. I i think it worked on my middle part. I'M always like rushing the middle part, because it never looks perfect. I i just need to figure out how to do it right. You know what i was trying to look for the comb, but i couldn't find a comb, so i just had my brush, so the brush doesn't really help so once it gets to the neck. You know when you get all the hair in you. Do the regular braid like usual next, you just do the same thing to the other side, so it looks the same and then this is what it should look like kind of. Maybe if you did a middle part, it'll look better, but i think i did a good job besides that, like looking at it now, i'm like, oh that actually looks good is my second attempt while doing the video, so i do love it um. I didn't really do this hairstyle in school because it is hard. I did do it a few times. I'M not gon na lie. I'Ve done it, but i don't do it often where i do like the french braid on the top. I just usually just do a regular braid, you know regular twin braids, but if you want to try something different, not just your simple braids. This is what you should try for sure see even mine's, not perfect, but it doesn't look too bad. If i could try it, you could try it too. That'S all i got ta say and though i forgot you can loosen the braids and you know tug out to make it more volume all right, and that was the last one, so that was on five um braided hairstyles. I want to say like easy. It does take time and practice, but, as you see, i'm not perfect either. This one is definitely as difficult. My arms kept getting tired, so it's important to keep it tight and you know make sure you don't lose track where you are practice makes perfect, but i couldn't keep doing this over and over again. But you get the point: it's a french braid! It'S a twin french braid! You didn't see that that was one i already used and it broke okay. I thought you know if you guys have never tried any of these out. Yet you should, because these are like must um must at least try braids, i'm not the best at breathing. So if i can do it, maybe you can do it as well, at least like the effort. I you know what i came out with. You can probably do because i'm not the best, so hopefully these hairstyles got you interested in trying more hairstyles or braids or braiding hairstyles.
