A few weeks ago I tried the VIRAL legging curls method for overnight, heatless curls--and WOW. Here is how I wrap my hair and modify the method a bit to work with my sleep style :) This gives the smoothest, bounciest overnight curls and they really do last all day for me! If you need a bit more hold try using a little bit of hair spray at the end or mousse before you wrap, but I recommend trying without product to begin with since you might be surprised. If you try this out, let me know how it goes for you!

Looking at these curls, you might think this would be another hot roller tutorial or a curling iron tutorial. But and this might shock you - I got these from leggings. I mean these results are incredible, so if you want to learn how to get bouncy hair like this, with no heat keep watching, heatless curls have been taking over the internet and for good reason, they're a gentle way to style your hair. That causes no damage. You wake up with Gorgeous curls that take a maximum of two minutes to style in the morning, and it's typically quicker than blowing out your hair or doing a full wavy routine. Since I'm a grad student and the start of the semester has been so busy. I'Ve been really relying on these Styles because it's just a lot easier and a lot quicker and I'm a big fan of legging curls, because you don't have to go out and buy anything new for them. So in this video I'm going to show you the step by step of how I put them in and how I take them out to get gorgeous. Bouncy results like this, and before I begin, I want to give a big thank you to you guys for supporting my channel. I love making these videos for you and I also want to say a big thank you to Wade for sponsoring part of this video. You guys know how much I love them. It is the end of a long day of grad school, so I am so excited to get these leggings in and to finally go to bed. I'M going to start already tangling my hair with a detangling hair brush, as I've talked about before the type of brush you use to tingle your hair does matter. This has really soft, flexible bristles and the brush itself is also flexible, so it doesn't cause any breakage. Another healthy hair tips to always start your day, tingling at the ends of your hair, like this before moving up the strands, and this also helps prevent any unnecessary breakage all right. So now that my hair is fully detangled and I'm looking like a poofy lion, I'm going to very very lightly dip, my hair with the spray bottle. Now this one has a really nice fine Mist. So it's a lot easier to control how much water actually gets on my hair and while some people like doing heatless curls on really damp hair, my hair just does not dry at all if it's super wet going in and that really messes up the curls at The end and I'm really making sure to get the water evenly distributed all throughout my hair, because if I miss a section, that section is going to look a little bit different and now that it's wet I'm going to come through detangle one more time just to Brush it through, as you can see, my hair is barely barely damp and now I'm just going to grab my leggings and two scrunchies. Now, when using the leggings we're going to be wrapping, our hair around the legs of the leggings and you'll see a lot of people just put it on their heads like this and start wrapping around. But when you put it on like this, it means that your curls can only start at around here, because that's where the waist of the leggings begin. So I like to start by making a little knot like this with the legs of the leggings. So I can choose where I start my curl now following my natural part, I'm just going to divide my hair into two halves and flip those in the front and then I'm going to take the knot of these leggings and place it right up at the very Front of my head now, the most important thing with any type of heatless curls is getting a really tight wrap so to secure it. Before I start wrapping one half I'm going to use one of the scrunchies to just really tightly tightly secure this side. So, with the waist of the leggings going back down behind your head, we're going to start wrapping one side, starting with my bang section, I'm just going to take a little section of hair like this sure it's detangled and then really tightly wrap it around the leggings. Like this and then bring it forward to the front, and then I'm going to bring this one underneath the legging, so I can grab it with my other hand. So now both pieces are, in this right hand from here, I'm going to wrap it again around the leggings like this and bring it forward now, since I'm a side sleeper, I'm going to be guiding this legging back behind my head like this. Instead of going straight down towards my ear so to grab the next section, I'm just coming here, getting it out, bringing it around the front and then to guide it. I just bring this legging leg back and wrap up and around with the legging leg, where I want it to be and again really tightly pulling this forward so again grabbing a section like this going up towards my part, pulling it up front and then wrapping it Around the legging leg, like this, I'm grabbing my last tiny little section just gon na pull it through and then for the end, all I do is just keep wrapping the hair around the legging trying to keep the legging leg as straight as possible. So the hair is going around it, instead of just twisting them both together now, depending on how long your leggings are and how much you have left. You can use this to tie it around the end, secure it, but I'm just going to take my scrunchy bit like this, and then I take the leg of the legging and flip it over just to protect it a little bit more and then I just repeat The same thing on the other side, so starting with a small section of my face, framing layers, I'm going to grab it, pull it forward and then wrap it around the legging leg and then bring it back to the front. Once it's back in front, I moved the legging leg to the hand that is holding the hair that I just wrapped forward and use my other hand to grab this section detangle a little bit. And then I just pull that section through to the front to meet the original section from here. I just again wrap around the back, Bring It Forward and I'm going to guide the leggings legs slightly backward just to make it a little more comfortable to sleep. Now. The more you do this, the easier it becomes, it kind of becomes second hand sort of like braiding does, after a while and then again just wrapping it down the end. Now some people like to do kind of like that basket weave style where you take each section going in opposite directions, but I like the look of having the One Direction waves, it kind of gives them our uniform old Hollywood, glamor type feel to the waves. Instead of a beachy curling wand, look so that's why I do it this way again, just securing with an elastic. It looks like this side's a little longer, so I could have just used the legging leg to tie it. You want to make sure you get a really nice tight tie here at the end, because that is what's going to keep it nice and secure as you sleep, and tie that up a little bit before taking it again and flipping it inside now. One of my favorite things about the legging curls specifically, is that you can actually tuck them in to the waistband here, so this kind of acts as like a little Bonnet. So if I flip the waistband around like this, I can tuck the ends up into the back and now it's all tightly wrapped up and protected, and I can go to bed good morning. So this held up pretty well at night. As I slept as you can see, everything's still pretty neatly intact and nice and secure. But since the morning before, I take this out, it's time to take my whey supplement now, you guys know, I'm a big, healthy, hair Advocate and one of the best ways to get healthy hair is actually to focus on your scalp help and that's for ways. Thicken. Full supplements and their scalp serum come in so thick and pull supplements are a one a day. Vegan supplement that promotes thicker, fuller and healthier. Looking hair through ingredients like Biotin and pea, shoot extract, and I love how they have no taste. So I don't feel nauseous when I take it in the morning. The scalp Serum is a topical product that soothes irritation and supports the strength of your hair, and it does this through skin care, inspired ingredients like hyaluronic, acid and adaptogens. Now I normally use this at night, but when I do Styles like this, I actually use it in the morning because it helps tame down any frizz at the very top of my head. So stay tuned to see me use this in a couple minutes. I'Ve been using both of these for months now and I've noticed significantly less shedding. Overall, my hair has been looking so full and so strong, and it's because these products complement each other so well. So if you want to incorporate them into your routine to grow all the way with way, scalp, serum and thick and full supplements go to the way.com and use code Sophie Marie for 15 off your entire purchase. That is 15 off your entire order at the way.com. Using Code sophomore so without further Ado, let's take this out. I'M gon na just gently remove the top part like this and look at how nicely this stayed in. As I slept, I'm really impressed with this: it's okay if it gets a little messy when you're sleeping and normally it doesn't really impact your waves that much um. But this is looking pretty good to take it out. I'M just going to take off the scrunchies here on both sides now on social media, you'll, typically see people just pull from the top here. In my opinion, that's a recipe to get some like really Tangled messy hair. So instead I just start by unwrapping that. So, let's see what it looks like: let's do the other side once the ends are fully unwrapped. You can do the little pull from the top, but I like to start it out by getting this there we go now. Obviously this is kind of getting George Washington. So all I do is just shake this out to get a little bit more volume, um and movement to my hair. So it looks a little less done up. So do that again, just shaking it like this, and I do this by just putting my hand up through my hair, I mean the fact that leggings did this overnight, just blows my mind, but to finish it, I'm going to take a little bit of hair oil To put it over my ends just to smooth everything down a little bit, and in this case, what I'm going to do is glaze the oil over my ends, similar to how I put on music gel just to kind of help, smooth things down and make it A little bit less sure, really Temple Temple. Look at how bouncy this now to deal with any frizz at the roots. I actually take my scalp serum. You never want to put a hair oil on your scalp. It'S just going to make things kind of greasy they're not made without their main tool on your hair, not on your scalp, but for this I'll apply it similar to how I do it at night um. So there's a lot of little drops all over my scalp and then I'm just going to shake it in and massage it into my scalp, and this will smooth down any of the top frizz you might have going on so shaking it up, and this also what's Going to give you some root volume, the biggest thing with heatless curls is that it does kind of squash down your volume, and so that's what you do in the morning when you take it out really matters, and I just go through and just with my hands Really aggressively shake at the roots, just Black Market, and these are the results I mean this is pretty incredible for a heatless style, and this is what it looks like from the back now. This actually lasts really well for me, but if you want a little bit more hold, you can add some hairspray in and now would be the time to do it. I love how it gives this gorgeous big hair. Look, it is so easy to do and it takes basically no time in the morning to get ready. So if you want to try this too just grab some leggings and let me know how it goes in the comments. Thank you so much for watching, and I hope you enjoyed this video
