How I Style My Short, Curly Hair! | 5 Minute Frizzy Hairstyles

Hi welcome back to Adore Beauty's YouTube channel.. I am Hannah and I'm here today to take you through three quick hairstyles.. I cut all my hair off, so I wanted to show you how I style it.. My first tip is definitely go with a shampoo or conditioner that is like ultra hydrating, maybe formulated for frizzy hair.. What I usually do is I'll choose a treatment product that is gon na, be ultra hydrating on the hair, but not like weigh it down.. So the one that I used for this Alterna Replenishing Moisture CC, Cream. The reason that I chose this one is because it's got 10 benefits and a couple of the ones that I was interested in was moisture, smoothness softness.. It also has heat protection. I'M gon na straighten my hair for the next style, so I wanted to make sure it had heat protection and I've also got a light hold.. However, this is the number one style for short hair. I wear it all the time. One, more tip. I'd say like day two day, three, the curls start to look like more defined, like kind of that frizz sort of flattens out., But one of the products that I used today. It'S the Kerastase Curl Manifesto., It's their second day, curl refreshing spray, so you can just kind of spritz this on and that kind of gives it a little bit more definition on day two day three.. So I really recommend this one for curly hair.. So what I would usually do is just get a little bit here. I'll either like curl it up like this in like a top knot, but what I usually just do., [ Crew, ] Smell that thing you sprayed the Kerastase smells good.. Oh Kerastase do the best products. All right. Okay. I know this seems super basic, but this is like my favourite style.. I always just chuck it up. In a half like a little half knot up here., The other option would be is to twist it like. This.. Do you know how easy this is to go to work Like? I just think this is the best little style it I don't know. I just think it looks really cute., So I'll usually do that if I've got curly hair.. Have I been in Thailand too long that I think this looks really good. The other thing like I feel like what with curly hair, would be just to put it on the side. Here., If you wan na, add a little bit more texture and volume. My favourite styling powder is the Evo Haze, Styling Powder.. So it looks like this. What you can do is sort of add a little bit more texture to the curls. Okay.. One of my friends. Actually told me this: she has really curly hair and she's. Like ugh, I hate how the curls at the front., So she always like just chucks in - and I feel like this like makes it a little bit less messy.. So those are the ones like that, but I actually prefer these ones. Hold it down.. So I feel like with the curly hair. You just have to make sure that when you wash it, you have to make sure that you're getting enough moisture in it. Otherwise, you like, I always end up with like massive frizzy hair., But as long as you're, adding in moisture with your shampoo, your conditioner and/or, your hair mask and then you're using a treatment product. That'S got like that's gon na really supercharge it with moisture.. It'S super easy to style short curly hair.. You should have seen me trying to style long, curly hair.. That would take me an hour to get the knots out. Like every time I washed it. I would be sitting there just like brushing and it would just like go everywhere. My drain would be full of hair., So this is way easier to style, curly.. So next thing, with short hair that I wan na say my hair used to take maybe like 30 45 minutes to straighten. And the problem was'cause, it was curly you'd be straightening it. It wouldn't go straight. So you'd have to do so. Many passes to try and get it straight., Whereas with short hair, I just feel like there's way less damage to my hair and I'm able to straighten it five minutes: five. 10 minutes.. I think I did time and it was like seven minutes to straighten it.. Okay. So, with short hair, the only thing that kind of annoys me a little bit is that when it starts to get around here, you'll find which it does look cute. But it starts to like flick out like this.. So the way that I'll, like style it in the morning as I like, wake up so I'll, do the first just look: how quick it is. I'll always straighten it. Like under'cause like when I used to do it straight, you would find like it quite quickly. It would start to flick, out. And that's kind of like. Is that, like a 70s style? Do you know what I mean Like when it flicks out.? Can I be honest? It'S actually like a little bit too thick. It'S the GHD Max'cause. This is really good for thick curly hair when you've got like longer.. So I actually. This is like my favourite straightener, but it's probably if you've got super short hair, you could actually go for the small like the normal version.. That'S a tip for long curly, thick hair.. This GHD Max is like a game changer.. I totally forgot. I actually. I was gon na talk about. I haven't used this today, but if I'm styling my hair straight for like an event - and I want it to be super smooth - I don't want that to be any frizz. I don't want it to poof up halfway through the night. Colour Wow Dream Coat. Should we add that video [ Crew ] Yeah the one, the first video -- Yeah? So when I actually first cut my hair like years ago, we did a video with the educator from Colour Wow to show you how to use it. ( upbeat, melodious, music ). This is how low maintenance, I've become.. I can't be bothered to pull out the the hair dryer to blow dry. The fringe., I just can't be bothered, so I just do it with the straightener. Done. All right, so you can see that that has like the way that I've straightened it underneath it will like flick up.. But what I do is just to refresh it in the mornings. I don't straighten up here'cause. I don't wan na damage it, but I'll just grab the ends and do this in the morning. Just to like flick it back. Under. (, upbeat melodious, music ). You can get like a really nice kind of, like kind of looks like it's been blow waved under, but you can do that all with the straightener. Next now, if I am gon na, spend a little bit more time styling. My hair, I will actually put in like a little bit of a kink. When I had long hair. I would like really curl it like this, but I find that you can't really do that with short hair., So I use the GHD Creative Curve., So this one's like conical, shaped and the reason I like this - is because, with short hair, you kind of just wan Na add, like a little kink through kinks throughout., And I find, if you're using one, that's not conical like you might get more of like a curl, and I just want like a like a wave like a messy wave., So I'll, just I'm not gon na. Do the whole thing.? I basically leave the bottom like. I would probably leave the bottom bit this much straight and then I would sort of section it maybe like two or three sections.. So this is how you do it like this. And then always like. I go away from the face., So you're like that away from the face. Count to five.. Okay, that wasn't long enough. ( laughing ). Can you see that [ Crew, ] Yes., Yeah., ( upbeat melodious, music, ) And I feel like with curling your hair with curling tongs I'd, never done it before I started through Adore. It just probably took me just took so much practise and once you've practised it'll. Honestly, it's like second nature.. You can't believe that you didn't know how to curl your hair. That'S how I feel now.. I would definitely add in some of this and I just brush it out with my fingers.. Sorry, that's the Evo Styling Haze, Styling Powder.. Do you know what I would always do, Even though I've styled my hair, I would literally always just go back to. ( laughing ), That's just my favourite style. I just think it looks so cute.. That'S just like always what I'm gon na do. Always I'm gon na go back to this style. I just love it. I just think it's so cute., Oh and the other thing with short hair, like I hardly ever wash it all. I do is just add in some dry shampoo., I still wash it every week..
