Hey guys welcome back, so this is a time of the year where you will see videos about things that we're going to leave in 2022 moving forward into 2023. So I just want to take a spin on this, where I want to talk about bad hair habits that we're going to leave in 2022. So, let's jump right into the video, the first one on my list - and this means a lot to me because I used to do this so often is wearing lace, frontal wig on a regular basis. In the name of protecting our edges, can we desist from wearing lace front wigs on a regular basis? I feel like lace front. Wigs and closures should be worn only on special occasions, not like when you're running to the supermarket you're gon na drag on your lace front. No, especially when we're going to bed. Sometimes we glue on these lace front, wigs and stuff, and we sleep with them on and just a friction of us moving through the night. I feel like it's the detrimental to our edges. I realized that I was wearing laser wigs, so much that my edges, especially over the this style, was just falling apart, like it's snatched and not in a good way, so I stepped back a bit from it and I realized that not wearing is so persistent. My edges start to grow back. I just want to say: let's just take it down a notch and the slitter edges Thrive and grow a little bit another one that irks the crap out of me. Is people wearing tapings? Not because you see every one of these lighter skin girls or different races wearing tapings mean that you should wear it, especially with our kinky hair. If you have kinky hair like sis, if you live in a humid place, please do not waste your time going to a salon doing these tapings, because you will look great after a blow up. But as soon as you hit upside you sort of sweat, a little bit is a total mess and I've seen numerous videos of people taking down these tapings ripping out their hair apart, and I know that yeah you're not doing it the right way, and sometimes you Can use oils and stuff like that, but I've seen someone literally put alcohol on their hair, and that reminded me when I was younger and back in Jamaica and I used to just glue down tracks on my damn head. I would go in afterwards and use alcohol to take it up completely rip my hair apart. I think I still have a spot here like alopecia, that the glue completely decimated so be careful. This tape ends be careful who you go to or if you're trying to do them yourself and everything is not for you, because it's not the in thing right now, like fall back, you don't have to follow suit because you see your favorite influencer wearing tapings. So next up on my list are braids and trust me. I am a lover of braids when I was kinky back in the days, especially in college. I used to wear braids religiously, like I love a good braid. Braids are just so convenient that you can just go to bed. Get up wash your face. Go through the door. You don't have to worry about how you're gon na style your hair, but the thing with braids is that it can be very detrimental on your edges, especially if you find someone that one wants to braid your hair neatly and tightly because they care more about their Work because they want it to look good because you are like a representation of their job, so they don't want you to leave the shop. Looking like girl. Did you braid your hair three weeks ago or just now, so just be mindful about finding someone that can braid your hair neatly but Loosely. I remember I used to suffer so much when I used to braid my hair. Like two days of headache, I had to put like a cold towel on my scalp trying to get some relief. Braids can be super super painful, so just be mindful of that, and if you can cut down the amount of time you braid your hair, it would be even better for you another one that coexists with the with braids are going to be sew-ins, I mean I Love a good sewing, I mean I don't know who doesn't like a sew-in. I feel like sew-ins. Look so much more natural than lace front wigs and it just gives you a different look. It'S flat. It just looks so uniform. So I love a good sewing, but the thing is that too braiding down your hair is so tight open. The thread through your hair can be a lot so instead of me going back to like sewings, I'm thinking about trying you part wigs, so I just made myself one instead of clipping it in my hair. If I want to have that sewing look, I can probably just take out the pins and the clips and just sew it down on two tracks and then blend my hair, but sew-ins just try to diminish the amount of time that you are doing it. Also, if you're a girl that you constantly like your center part, I feel like you need to switch it up, sometimes because, after a while, the center part of your hair starts to break off because you're constantly putting heat on your hair or extra. None right here. That strain just switch it up sometime. I know sometimes you probably like the right side better, because it's your best side but sis give it a break sometime upon not intended and try another side just switch it around to make sure that you're causing less friction in one particular side of your hair. So the next one on my list is definitely a pack P from me is extravagant baby hairs like I feel like it's so played out. It just gets to me every time I see it it just irks me like. I don't need to see your baby hair on your eyebrows like sis, it's just too much and then mixed with the spidery long overdone lashes, like you can't even open up your eyelids, it's just too much. You don't need all of that. That'S what I feel I feel like it just takes away from your beauty. It'S like a distraction because I just can't help but to stare at them. I remember when I used to wear baby hair back home when it was a thing. I mean it's still a thing, but you had to get baby hairs when I was like nine years old, my cousin used to braid my hair backwards and she used to do little swoops and stuff. It was super cute, but now it's like on your eyebrows. It'S just too much, so it's just overplayed. I just feel like it just do us such Injustice. I just can't take you serious with all those baby hairs. This is my opinion, but if you like it, you like it continue to do you. No one should Define the way you should look. So do you, but for me it's just a no, no, no okay! Okay, oh the next one that I'm going to end the video with is cleansiness when it comes to our hair. I feel like a lot of times, I've seen numerous videos about people not washing their hair for three months, and I think it's just so gross and disgusting leave that to when we were younger and we didn't know any better. But the moment you reached, like 25 girl, like please three four five months, you did not wash your hair and especially if you're wearing braids braids. If you don't wash those trust me, it stinks, it smells so horrible, like you, can walk into a room and the whole room is stunk with your braids like it's crazy, so people please fanciness, is everything even when you're not wearing any braids or anything. If you're doing a sewing, I would say: yes, you cannot wash your hair every week, which I do or try to do, because when your hair is dirty sheds, a lot more so don't pass 10 days without washing your hair. But, given that, if you have a sew-in and stuff, I get it like it's sometimes so hard to get to your scalp, I was say: try like three weeks or so to wash your hair. Just just go to someone or try to do it. It'S gon na be a tedious process. I know that, but trust me make sure that your hair smells good. Your hair is supposed to be part of your eye Gene when you go in to hug somebody. Your hair is in their face. I'Ve traveled before when I was younger with people in taxi cabs back home and their hair will smell atrocious, sweaty, musky and just filthy. It'S just a big turn off. Why do you think people may hear fragrances and stuff? You need to take care of yourself by washing your hair you're, laying beside your partner. Your partner doesn't deserve to be spending musky hair like I would never want that like scent, is everything to me. So please just do yourself, the Justice to wash your hair frequently. So guys, this is the end of the video comment down below your thoughts and let me know what your plan on leaving in 2022 and what you want to bring forward into changing your hair care regiment and be nice and the comment section just my opinion. It doesn't matter, doesn't Define you do whatever pleases. You, okay, and I will see you guys in my next video bye,
