My "trick" so that I don't have to curl my hair with a curling iron/straightener in the morning, is just to make a low bun, twisting my hair around and attach it to my scrunchie/hair tie.
Then wet the "twisted part" around the low bun, with water...
And when I release it in the morning, it's curly :)
And most often, I don't have to "perfect" the curls, by using any heating tools
