Hi everyone I'm Emily, I'm a stylist at Chaz Dean studio and you also watch our vlog here. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you um. So today, I'm doing a tutorial. Actually, the most requested tutorial from you guys on how I achieve my everyday hair. Look. I kind of debated on even making it because I had mentioned it on one of my vlogs, but I decided since you guys asked so much here. It is so I hope it's informative. I talked about the products I use and how many pumps and all that stuff taking consideration. I do have long hair and it's very thick, so you might want to you know, do what is necessary for your hair type, but the technique will still be the same. I use the when cleansing conditioners the whole line. Basically, for this whole look, I love the products I swear by it. I think it's great for me. I know you would love it too. I do work for the salon. It'S not a sponsored video whatsoever. Okay, so for my hair look so when cleansing conditioners work really great for me for this! So I'll tell you what I do my regimen for my hair and, let's just get to it, so, and I usually wash my hair at night um I'll get into the shower cleanse my hair right before I get out of the shower. I do about five pumps of the cleanser back in my hair from the mid shaft to the ends. I work it through. You know work it in twist it and then whatever have remaining. I rake it through five pumps from this right. After that, I do five pumps of the styling cream same thing. Five pumps work it in from the mid shaft to the ends rake it through. Whatever I have remaining, I just rake it through my roots. I never put product directly on my scalp. I have my own natural oils, so do you so you don't need products necessarily so much onto your scalp cuz! That'S how you get oily, that's how you get greasy and that's also how your hair gets weighed down by that time. All the waters pretty much run out because I'm squeezing it and working in the product and then I'll put the towel on for like less than 30 seconds. I know I don't really like leaving my hair up in a towel. For me, I feel like it causes a lot of frizz and then it's just I don't like alright, personally, don't like it. You know just rough roughly for about 30 seconds 30 seconds, then I'll just get a scrunchie just to keep it up. So my back's not whatsoever after a while I'll, let my take it down from the scrunchie. You know: let it air dry a little bit want to say about a good 60 % cuz. You want your hair to be somewhat damp, so the curl locks in and then I do a center parting. Basically, what I have right now, it doesn't have to be really neat personally for me, I kind of like it because I like that severe center parting, for you, you probably would want to do it, how you part your hair. So if you do it off to the side, you know you are gon na want to twist it going that way, so it stays that shape for when you take it down in the morning, starting from clean hair out of the shower is one way you do It or you could also do it on second day here, which is basically how Meijer is right now what you're gon na do is grab water, a bottled water or you can use a replenishing treatment this just to miss the hair down, basically make it down. You don't want it, you don't want it too wet or else it will never dry. These thing, I'm just missing it. The moisture the witness is what locks the curl in for when you go to bed and remember again when it's when you're out of the shower, when you have clean hair, you don't want to do it when it's soaking wet. You want to do it where it's somewhat damp close to air dry. I know this is so cool, so you see how my hair is. This is basically how you would want it either a when you get out of this shower and you let it air dry. It a little bit or be second date here, dampen it with water you're, going to section your hair on where you want it to fall in the morning. So, for instance, if I want to do a center parting, I'm gon na do a center parting. When I put the buns in or if I'm gon na, wear a wear it off to the side and that's when I'll sheet me, where it's off to the side and then I'll twist it. This is a good tip for girls who have short layers. What I'll do is I'll twist? This section like it doesn't have to be perfect, but I'll start twisting it away from my face, and then I always tilt my head and then I just grabbed it, and you see how I'm twisting I'm twisting away from the face and where my ponytail is it's Basically, right above my ear and then I start coiling it seeing as I'm twisting it, I'm wrapping it around into this bun and the tighter the curl or the tighter, the twist, the tighter, the curl it's going to be C and I recommend using a scrunchie. I would not recommend using an elastic anything else besides the scrunchie, because they don't leave any marks and then that's one button. Okay, so, let's repeat on that other side? Okay, so I have the other side now once again, just grabbing a section of where my shortest fringe shortest layer is just twisting it away from the face and then grabbing my the rest of the hair into a ponytail and just twist and then just wrap twist Foil and then scrunchie did you know, so that's all. I do pretty simple pretty easy and you can do it. I promise it's like the lazy girls hairstyle and I honestly feel, like you get more body and more of that tousle look doing it. This way versus doing it with a curling iron, where it seems to always to always look you more uniformed, and I honestly from my hair, I feel, like I get more body out of it, and anyone could do this. I had my hair itself is long and super straight like I have no curls whatsoever. I wish I did. I try to create it by doing this, since I'm doing this right now, it's like about 9:30 at night, I'm actually just going to go underneath. I have one of those portable hooded dryers, I'm gon na stand at the dryer. Just so you did you guys can see what it does, but if you really want to see what it is every how it looks every day when I do do it every day, just check out any of my vlog videos with Jesse or you can check out An actual vlog where I talk about it - and I actually show me taking it down and talking about it more on a video on the vlog called unbuttoned and I'll put the link below for that as well. I'M gon na do a quick recap just to make sure I've covered all my faces, and so no one gets confused. You have two options of doing this. You could do it. You know we after you take a shower at night or you could do it on your second and third or fourth day hair. Just the difference is when it's, when you cleanse your hair or wash it her at night, you want to make sure it's damn close to dry. You don't want to put them in the buns when it's soaking wet, or else it will never dry in the morning. I'D also end up making your hair smell like a little bit like mildew, and you don't want that. But the second option is, if you have your second or third day fourth day even hair and miss it down with water, with like a water bottle and then do your little twist um the best tips. I guess, if you give, you is to always make sure you twist it going away from the face. The whole shorter fringe twist method up in the beginning, works great because it shapes the face, make sure you always use scrunchies, because using an elastic, we'll leave a dent. Scrunchies are really soft. You can pick this up at any store, I think, Target or like CVS or whatever, like whatever drugstore, you have become impacts and they're. Like I see $ 4 $ 5, it's that and they're great and own leave any marks. What else I think I've covered it? All I do the cleanser as a leave-in, and I do the styling cream for to help calm, the frizz or just to help calm the hair, because here's a thing where people like they want to have very easygoing, hair, very lazy and want to be the wake Up and go kind of girl, a lot of people tend to not put product in their hair when it. Actually, you need the most product as a styling product as a leave-in just to let it air dry or else you're. Just gon na be frizzy you're gon na be dry and you're gon na be wondering why, like, why is my hair frizzy and why is it not looking cool or effortless the answer to that is put product in as a leave-in, as you know, either a cleanse A a conditioner as a leave-in, the styling cream for college. You know a glossing serum. It really works great and kind of like another reason why even they're, probably thinking like well, I don't want to why? Is it ever shiny or whatever that'll help it? You want to keep in mind when you blow-dry your hair, you're polishing with the brush and a blow dryer with a nozzle. I know you're using that nozzle you better be using that nozzle, but that polishes it and it seals the cuticle. So if you were to air dry, your hair and you don't put any kind of product in it whatsoever, there's nothing sealing it. So what ends up happening? Is you end up having this unmanageable dry, looking hair when, in reality, it's not, you know so make sure you put product in as a styling product, even if you're gon na be you're, even if you're gon na be you know, effortless and natural? So I think that's a good tip for you guys. Let'S take this down yeah and we'll talk more just you know be kind of gentle and then just gon na use your fingers to break up the curls. You don't want it to look like that. Grab your fingers through yours, the hair kind of close to your scalp and just shake it up just to loosen it up and break it up see so I'm gon na repeat that see here. Look at the shape! That'S! What'S creating the waves shake it out! Grab your fingers, my hands for my lip gloss and then just shake it up and there we go. Oh that's a little too curly step down there break it up that way. I'Ll grab a little bit of glossing Sturm this one, I'm using the wine glasses, erm work it in and then I just squeeze it into the hair. I don't go too crazy. That was about two pumps and just squeeze it in you see how it just kind of define the curls a little bit more got rid of some of the frizz, and once you squeeze it in, you are good to go. So this look is totally not meant to be perfect, but perfectly imperfect, so yeah, so if you're totally down with the whole beachy laid-back tousled waves. This is a look for you, the tighter you wind up the BRIT with the button, the tighter the curl it's gon na, be the looser it's gon na, be the looser you wind it the more loose the wave will be, I would say, go somewhere in the Middle first, just to kind of get like the feel and the more you do it. The more you practice, the more it'll become second nature to you and the more you'll you'll you'll be able to play around with it. So good luck - and I hope you enjoyed this and I hope it was informative but yeah if you have any questions, comment down below. Okay, bye,

arctickooksnash: I tried it and it works like charm! Soo good! Thank you !!

Abbey K.: You're so helpful and generous! Thanks Anna x

Megann Monday: Cool! Thanks for sharing. I think I have the same hair type (naturally wavy/semi curly), so I hope this works well for me too :)

fakeuserish: OMG I love you. You seems such a nice kind humble honest human being. And by far this is my best hair tutorial. And oh yes SUBSCRIBED and really looking forward for more videos to come. All the best <3 <3 <3

Jam: Hi Anna Lee! So my hair is naturally wavy & pretty long (goes down to the top of my bum) and I've been following this tutorial for the last week. I have to say I LOVE the result! I used to use heat on my hair every day in high school and it got really damaged so now I don't even own a blow dryer, let alone a hair straightener/curler. When I use your bun method my hair goes into spirally curls without using heat! Thank you so much for uploading!

Tina Caballero: Gorgeous!! I can't wait to try!

dhillro: I soooooo wished I had long hair after this tutorial!!!...smhhhhh..love how detailed you are!!!..Amazing Video Anna!!!!

Chili C: It totally worked! Got a lot of compliments today, thank you :)

Ellina: Thank yooooooou this is so helpful and the result is beautiful!

mymercedes4me: This is my type of hairstyling....love it! Can't wait to try it!

porporpoi: I do this to my hair everyday! I have the same length, but very thin hair so I just use one bun at the back of my head :)

Nisa Hassan: I love your curls! I just got a haircut to get rid of the dead ends :( Hoping this could work on semi-long hair

jamoie: Wow Thank you so much! I'm not sure about anyone else, but I have long, thick and damaged hair and it worked perfectly! Today I left my hair in the scrunchies for like an hour (and then blow dried it a little bit) and it ended up looking like softer, but pretty waves. I dont want to exaggerate, but i'm thinking this video has literally changed my life haha Thank you again!

Kristen Holliday: THANK YOU for doing this video! It's very helpful! I'm going to try it tonight, so excited! If i ever get the chance to come down there where you guys live, I'm definitely getting you to do my hair! Love you guys and also your vlogs! :3

V CR: So simple but effective! Hair tools freak me out so this no heat method is great fr me! Thanks so much!!!

annaleeandjesse: Yes, it should work with your naturally curly hair. It should soften and loosen your wave as mentioned with previous comments listed below from our lovely curly hair viewers that have done this method :)

Sarah Jiang: I tried and it works perfectly!!! Thank you so much!

M Ruiz: You're so thorough with your tutorials

Genie L: Thank you guys for posting this, I can't wait to try it!

rachel maitland: ahhh i just love your hair.. looks like it has such nice texture and movement <33

Jana D.: Great video! i'll definitely try this :)

BlushingForeigner: Love this, Anna Lee! I have a bob that falls a few inches above my shoulders, but the hair in the back/underneath is a lot shorter and won't fit into a high bun. If I made 4 sections on the head -- two hight buns and 2 lower buns - do you think that might work to achieve the same effect?

Florence May: this is sooo good!!! love it!!

Cindy Hoang: Finally D: ! First thing I did when I woke today was watch this LOL. Thank you Anna for sharing this hairstyle with us and thank you Jesse for filming the whole thing :D I think. Or a stand. I'd thank that too. <3

i am not an acrobat: i watched this video although i have naturally curly hair. and i still learned something! i think i will try to use some more/different products in my hair as a leave in, since i always let it air dry (and yes, then there is frizz.). thanks for making this! :)

Gita Bončina: Aaaah, thanks yo! I've been waiting so long for this video and it will definitely come in handy :). xx

889457: Amazing!!!! Thank you sooooo much!!

monimush: annalee, you are funky cool and this tutorial is awesome!

Marta Rangel: Can you achieve this look in just over the shoulder hair? :) Thank you for the vid Anna, and for the editing Jesse ^^

Vanda Lim: (1/2) I also have a question: I have (extremely) thick, straight asian hair that's about 5 in. below my collarbone, and I'm usually fighting frizz to make my hair look nice. I know that using products and blow drying accomplish a polished look, but I've always wondered exactly how often I should do either and yet still keep the health of my hair.

siri22: Love it can't wait to try it

Meadow Reyes: Thank you so much!!! Your hair is like mine!! You r amazing!!!

Cheryl Anne | My Made Life: Holy smokes this is more than a heatless waves tutorial. So many hair tips! SCORE!

Christy Oliva: Thanks so much! I have naturally curly hair but I was hoping to get loose curls with having to straighten and curl it again and this worked perfectly! Did you guys say there would be a give away on this hahah (Im way to eager) Love the vids!

azul aoi: so amazing!!! I will try it for sure!!

LifeJourneyToBeNatural: Reminds me of bantu knots to create soft waves. Thank you for suggesting the scrunchie which protects the hair as well. Princess Leia looks cute on you.

annaleeandjesse: Stretch your hair going down.. Have tension when brushing your hair so it smoothes your natural curls. Use a nozzle when blowdrying and always keep the brush and blowdryer moving :)

pangstr: wahooo =) been waiting for this vid! i tried doing it on my own and my head ended up looking like a poodle =( btw anna i had a hairy question: is it possible to have a haircut/style that is voluminous/doesnt go flat without having to use product? or is that impossible? i'm really lazy with my hair and don't like using heat/using a lot of products.

cynthia yee: Anna Jesse thank you both so much for posting this!! thanks for answering my big question about using a leave and how it tames frizzays because i did try it after watching the unbuttoned vlog and got crazy frizzz lol. xoxo

South American mama: love watching Anna old tutorials . ❤

rla: Super informative anna! thank you so much! Just had one question: do you have any suggested drugstore hair products, especially a leave in hair conditioner from the drugstore? Thanks anna!

isabellafrances123: I almost love the look of the little buns more than the curls! :)

annaleeandjesse: Yes!!! It should soften your wave. Make sure to use product and also make sure your hair is smooth when you are twisting it into your buns :) good luck :)

Ann.295: i love how your hair looks afterwards :) does that also work on curly hair?

annaleeandjesse: yay! Good luck Jenn! let me know how it goes!! ps. love your hair in the newest video! so pretty!

Julianna K: You are so sweet and helpful! I used to use Wen, and then my hair started feeling flat, without volume, also started really falling. Then, I went to Bosley cuz I was scared of losing hair. Can you recommend a good Wen product for me to try out again? I have colored/dry/thin hair, which tends to fall around 6-8weeks after a cut. I would Luv to have hair like yours! Thanks Anna!

Audrey: Woo0o0o0o0o0 been waiting for this, thanks so much! You're both so talented <3

annaleeandjesse: It depends on the length... I have a friend that does it with her long bob and it looks great!! :)

karatepop: Cute! I do no 'poo so I don't have to wash my hair as often - I do this for days 2-4. I still learned something! Sometimes, if I know it's going to be a while before I can wash it again, or if I'm going to be in the rain, I do rag rolls the day I wash my hair because they stay for days (with no product 'cause I react to everything). I did rag rolls (another no heat curl) when I got married and had really cute '30s hair. Thanks, Ana Lee! You guys are great. I love couples dynamics. Haha.

carol.rouge: Wow this is easier than braids! I hate blow drying my hair on a weekday. Luckily I am a  nineties girl and have scrunches already. Going to try this "perfectly imperfect hairstyle" asap.

Stephanie Kim: Hey Anna! I love your technique but what would you suggest for those with really thick AND course hair?

Nadia M: Anna is so lovely, she has such a nice manner. & the tutorial is great :)

cjmckaena: Your armpits are so perfect! Love the heatless curl method btw, I've been looking for an easy one for the longest time.

Sarah St.Angelo: So helpful:)

Emvy: How do you make it last all day? When I put my hair into a bun before bed, the next morning it only lasts for an hour or so after I unravel the bun. Great video btw!

s31ispudi7is: really good. havnt found many good heatless curls for asian hair too so thanks! :)

Atlanta: It really wa helpful. Thanks!
