How are you all, I hope you all will be fine and safe.? Finally, i am doing highlights in my hair. I have done highlights in my hair once before also some 7 years back.. I had done this highlight on new year 2015 and this time also, i am doing it on new year. Only after 7 years ), I had done almost 6-7 streaks that time. This time i am highlighting clown part only.. I wanted to experiment something on this new year with my hair after so long., i dont know how would it turn up..? I dint want to do global colouring on my hair, so just highlighting will work as of now.. I, like my hair color., But in the future. If i feel like going for global colouring, i might do it. So lets go to the salon first and you will come to know about it.. I went to another salon first and dint get satisfactory response from their hair stylist.. They were forcing me to go for the shade available in the salon, not the one which i liked. So had to cancel the appointment there and i wont be taking salon name.. Then i went to Jawed Habib salon where i had done keratin treatment, before. Stay tuned for more details about this salon. So Finally, I came to javed habib for the highlights They have started with hair wash ( mandatory first step, ) Post wash they applied conditioner and dried my hair, using paper towel.. I will be sharing important tips in between across the video. So with me till the end to know more about hair highlights, Hair wash conditioning and towel drying is done.. I had to get my hair trim done so before highlighting they are trimming. My hair, I asked him to keep U shaped cut and only trim a little As my hair is very thin, so layering would not have come nicely. Tuku is keeping her busy with phone (, rhymes and all ). I had a discussion around keeping my crown highlighted. Not global ( or entire hair ) For highlighting to be done. They take fine streaks of hair around the target. Area., A single streaks consists roughly this much of hair, as shown on screen, As I wanted highlights only on my crown area, so they have segregated it from remaining areas. Color to be used for highlight is being mixed. Now color will be applied to each streak. Sufficient color is applied to each streak and then wrapped separately to get dry. I am getting five such streaks highlighted ( Had asked for 4, but he is giving 1 extra COMPLIMENTARY ). Each streak is carefully wrapped and left untouched for 20 mins, As I mentioned earlier. I am getting highlights done for the second time, but still it is a new experience for me.. Only difference is in my hair volume, which was better when I got it done 7 years back ) Each streak is checked after 20 minutes. If every streak is dried enough, then again shampoo wash is done. Alongwith conditioner. Hair is washed thoroughly with water before applying shampoo. Hair mask is applied post shampoo wash., As I explained earlier, all the products used at javed habib is of great quallity. Mask is used to protect your hair from harsh chemicals applied through, highlight color, washing and Masking is done As a next step. My hair is dried using blow dryer., But once drying is done, my highlights were barely visible to naked eye. Same was the case on camera too.. When I said this to the stylist, he suggested to get this done again, as there was no point if i was not sattisfied., So he started the process once again with lighter shade on another set of 5 streaks., He had to put double effort to make this Perfect., SO after waiting for another 20 mins, they washed my hair, applied, mask and dried it using blow dryer. All this, because my highlights wasn't visible in first go. Now my shades are really visible after applying lighter shade. Main reason for getting hari highlight done is to give extra volume to your thin. Hair. Look gets multiplied if you chose correct color/shade. According to your hair color, You can see visible difference in my hair compared to the one shown at the start of the video.. You can get your highlights done by following some tips, which I have shared at the end of the video.. If you are getting this highlights done for the first time, then these tips will definitely help you a lot As a next step. They are ironing my hair, as I wanted, a straight hair, which was not coming post blow. Dry. Straight hair gave a completely different look and I got awestruck P. This time highlights are far better than the one tht I had got done for the first time.. It'S show time ). I am very happy with the result.. I had small hair when I got it done 7 years back, but this time it's better and hence the result. This time I got my hair trim done by 4 inches to get rid of split ends, as I had not got it done for a long time. Tips to consider if you are getting highlights done for the first time. 1.. You must be very sure about the color that you are going to get applied. Go ahead with slightly darker/lighter shade, based on your hair. Color., You, hair, stylist should be experienced enough to suggest you best suited color, Then only you will get the best result. 2.. If you are going ahead with lighter shade, then you have to be double sure about the match.. My hair is brownish, so this highlighted shade has come nicely, But again it depends on your personality and your individual choice of color **TUKU. Appreciating my hair color ) **. Another point to consider is to choose a very good salon, As you will end up paying almost the same directly or indirectly at any other salon as well. So chose a better salon, as they will provide much better service for the same amount. pricing depends on Number Of streaks, also, If you are regular to my vlogs, you must have known that my keratin treatment became ineffective after 3 months only.. I got that done at javed habib. Only so sometime, your stylist also matters a lot.. I am disclosing the salon name this time, as I am very happy with the service that i received here.. I had opted for 4 streaks initially, but, as you have seen, it didn't turn out to be good, So he repeated entire process and came up with this amazing result.. So In total he did some 10 streaks, including hair, cut shampoo and straighting (, all twice ). So he charged me 3300 INR in total, Which is very reasonable. If you get this type of highlights in a salon like javed habib., My case was slightly different, but if you have to go ahead with 4-5 streaks highlights with hair cut, then you can expect this price..
