Welcome back, i hope, you're doing very well, um, okay, so today's video is gon na be very quick. My hair is stuck in my earring. Today'S video is gon na, be very quick. It'S going to be uh kind of like a protective style or my go-to protective style right now, whilst i'm in the relaxed stretching phase. So i thought i'm gon na show you guys what i've been doing. I have literally taken down put it back on taking down this style in the last two weeks, so it is helping me manage my hair and also a quick update with my shedding. It is still going down. We don't have a lot of sharing um. So that's a great thing, so, if you're new here i'm minelle, i create self-care, hair and style videos. I need to be getting back into my consistent routine of creating different types of videos, but at this moment we're like stuck in the hair, but i will say that i do not want this channel to be just a hair channel, because i do not want to Get bored with creating content, so i'm still going to keep it in the self-care realm, but other different um types of content, same niche but but just versatility. So i have been stretching my hair. We are in week, eight so two months relaxed and at this point my growth is so freaking thick. I have no idea what's going on, i'm doing surprised myself, like my hair, grew out so fast um. I took down. I had a meeting today and my protective style, which was literally just a goddess braid or like the two goddess braid thing. It was a bit unravel. I had a meeting, so i had to look put together, so i took it down. So this is what it looks like if you are looking for, like heat less wave like a heatless hairstyle with waves. This is the perfect way to get that, so i'm going to show you guys how to do the bridge. It'S just basically, two goddess braids. If you don't know how to braid, i don't know what i'm talking about. I will show you guys just now, but i also want to make mention in this video is that before i actually go ahead and do the braid, because i'm gon na keep it in for at least three days before i take it down, because you know your Hair, well, that is for my hair because of the texture, it's very lightweight. It does not stay lit flat for a long time, and i do not put any gel in my hair because i'm not in the business of washing my hair every single week anymore, like that, is a lot of freaking work. And if you know me, if you've been on this channel, i always say that i am a lazy hair person. So what i do like to do is that i moisturize my scalp so or grease my scalp pretty much. I use this dax grease. It'S a hair food, it has coconut oil and castor oil and my hair absolutely loves castor oil, but not so much coconut oil, but in a mixture it does wonders. I use this product when i big chopped my hair, i'm going to insert a picture of me right here three years ago. This is the product that i use. I literally braided my hair. Every two months took it down washed my hair cleaned, my scalp. I would use bentonite clay to clean my scalp out, and this was my go-to product. I didn't put anything else in my hair, but that, and occasionally i did a mixture of hair oils using this brands, oil which is via so they have like an assortment of different types of oils: jojoba argan oil, um, avocado, castor oil, all sorts of oils. I literally just mix them in a big spray bottle and i would spray my scalp um on my hair as when i felt like it pretty much, but that's what i did so. The first thing i do when i'm doing my protective style is that i grease my scalp. I section it up. I grease my scalp and then i moisturize my ends. I make sure that i focus a lot on the ends, because this is the oldest part of my hair, so it's definitely prone to breakage and my regimen for moisturizing, my hair. I use this hydrating oil, it's a it's infusing oil, it's an oil, but it's not like an oil. It'S like a serum if that makes sense, but my hair has been loving this. This is paraben free, sulfate, free dye, free, it's literally clear, and let me show you guys what it looks like okay, so i just put a little bit of that or i will use the cream of nature um around oil again, i'm using a lot of other Oil products here today this is the creamy moisturizing hair lotion. I just put a little bit of that and then i run through different sections of my hair and then i put the oil in there. I put this oil over it to seal that moisture in and then i put on my two plaits and then the last thing that i do is that i spray my hair with water in the end. Why? Because my scalp tends to get dry so quickly, like i literally greased my scalp like two three days ago and um it's dry, so i am going to quit something right now. My hair is already sectioned, i'm just going to clean that up a little bit here. Okay, just a little bit and then i'm brushing the top okay and i detangle my hair before i detangle once again. If you want to do this little like hit less waves for your hair, you want a hairstyle, then this is how you will achieve the look. You put the two braids and then after a few days you take it down and because i sprayed it with water, this stays on for a longer period of time. Until i decide to brush it out, so i'm gon na gently brush that out. Okay, just to get out any extra waves that i have in there and i typically do two sections, so i'm just gon na do that right now, let's see if i have any shading for you guys just a few strands like not much so and then i Just braid very tightly now i tend to try to make it go like very low because i'm gon na pin it down and if you don't know how to braid. I'M sorry, i'm not a very good instructor. So now my ends do not stick like it's gon na unravel, so i'm gon na peel it down very shortly. So we have one down. Let'S do the other one, all right and now. What i do is that i pin them across like this, but i tuck the ends in so that it's not exposed and i can protect those ends so meaning. Let me turn around. I flip them across like this, and then i fold it down like this. So the ends are totally and they're, not like sticking out same thing on the other side, and i just painted this down two okay voila, and that was my go-to hairstyle. But before i do that before i finish up, i just take some water because adding water to your hair is that one thing: that's going to add: moisture water if you want moisture water and because i have a lot of new growth coming in and i do Not want to, i want to make sure that i protect the ends of my hair, which are the older parts of my hair or the relaxed parts. I spray some water along here. It can get a little bit messy, so i do it very gently. Okay, just to kind of moisten the ends a bit, and the reason why i do this after is because you guys know that i do not like to detangle my hair once it's wet, because that can that's prone to breakage. So i do it after the fact that way. I don't have to manipulate it too much and it's easier for me to put it in those two breeds um, whilst it's still in the not dry but like the regular normal state um. If i were to wet my hair first and then try to corner it, it would be chaos, so i just basically spray some water around my hair and i do the center. I do all hair as well, so that it can go down into my um scalp. I'M gon na do this afterwards because it can get messy, so i will go into the bathroom to do that so that any dripping or dry page rather can like go down the sink another. My clothes um, but that is my go-to hairstyle for the last two weeks, to be honest, like, since my last wash day, that's all i've been doing keeping my hair in those two braids so that i don't have to commit every single day and i don't manipulate It every single day - and i just retain the length as much as possible - and i don't have any breakage and at night to keep my hair sealed. I tie it with two scarves, so this is the satin scarf. I just tied over my hair, but i a rough sleeper sometimes so my scalps always tend to come out. So what i will do is that i will double side. So this is another satin stuff, but this one is softer. It'S a little bit. Stretchier um! I tie this over it again so that i make sure that i have that protection if my um, the initial one slides out, which is always the case, so i just keep it neat protected um whenever it's in that and if you have to go anywhere. I, if i want to have a little look i'll sing it down to have that wavy texture, as if i really styled my hair, but i really did not and if you do add the water to your hair, like if you spray it. It'S really gon na help define those waves but yeah.
