Natural To Relaxed | Summer 2021 Pixie Cut [Salon Visit]

Today, i'm visiting the salon to relax my one year, natural hair and get a pixie cut. I'M visiting a dahlia salon in brooklyn new york, here's my hair one year, natural and yeah, i'm over it! So, let's go here, i'm just showing you a bit of my very weak temples and gray hair coming in life. You can see how dusty it looks, but i stretched it and washed it in preparation for this relaxer three days before yeah. Look at my they just never recovered after my first sun brief length check. This is where i'm hitting. I cut my hair in august of 20 20.. Oh she's, draping, she's draping! Don'T i look like the cynthia doll from rugrats be honest. So this is the relaxer. I'M using good old, faithful, fetal relaxer. This is index two. This is a little bit stronger than my usual index one. I wanted my hair to be really straight and i'm using sebastian cellophane's an espresso brown, i'm doing a relaxer, color and cut. This is nicole keeping me in preparation for the relaxer and i'm just considering. If this is the right thing, i should really be doing to my natural yeah. No, so i'm getting relaxed willy nilly, i love it. You know i'm just ready for the style and it needs to be relaxed to get the style i'm so here for it. I really do like feeder relaxer. It'S a natural base, relaxer. I kind of wish i'd relax my hair at home, but i was just looking for the experience i haven't been to the salon in years, so just let them do it, but i do like to control my relaxer. Yes, i'm at italia salon. I found her on instagram and i actually found her through style seats. She does all her bookings through style seat and on her instagram. She does amazing pixie cuts. This is nicole. She is darlene's assistant, applying my relaxer and i think she did a good job. I wish she had brought it out more, but we were running low on relaxer. That'S why she did not bring it all the way down to the ends. So i kind of had my ends a little frizzy all rinsed out right now she has the cellophane in it and rinsing it out. I process that for about 15 to 20 minutes under heat, and that is the best way to have the sebastian cellophane actually penetrate and color. Well, here, she's putting some astringent if you get color on your skin use a little bit of astringent and it'll, get it right off, she's shampooing me and getting off all that color. She already did the neutralizing step after the initial relaxer rinse. So this is just a moisturizing shampoo yeah. Look at that curly ends. So nicole is preparing me to go under the dryer, so my hair can just dry up a bit in preparation for my cut. It'S a lot darker. I can't do black hair. It just doesn't. Look right on my skin tone, so espresso brown, but even that was too dark. So next time i'm gon na get like caramel brown or chocolate brown. I like the richness of brown. I don't like dusty brown, but the espresso is a bit too dark for me, but it looked healthy here, she's, just showing me how the cut will go and taking off these curly ends under the hairdryer. I go. That gum was really good apparently, and this is darlene. She is the owner of the salon and the master hairstylist. She does amazing pixies and short haircuts, and here i am ready, ready, ready she guyanese too, so me and her was having a little conversation about life on a west, indian tip. You know i told her what i was going for. I showed her a picture of janae from hilo luxe. I really loved her pixie cut length and her sideburns and i asked her to add a little tail at the back, just a manageable one, just for a little cuteness. But i love the sideburns and i love short shirt like a shorter framed length. I just wanted a little bit of hair in my face to like frame it, but don't i look like jim carrey from he's ventura or something yeah, but that was the initial cut and she's just going in and refining some more. I asked darlene about like which foam she likes best and she likes nairobi. She feels it has like a lot more staying power, so she is molding, my hair, using nairobi and she's, laying down some wrap strips to make it nice and flat and neat - and i'm heading to the dryer here she is all dry. Oh, the sideburns get me, but you could see a little kinkiness because the relaxer did not go all the way down there. So i'll have to retouch my ends, but so far so great she broke the the cast, and this is what it's looking like. Final process is flat ironing, and this is kind of where you see the style come to life. You could see her cut precision the color everything is just brought to life in this process. Right here, look look at her she's, so cute. What deliciousness looking at this! While like doing this, voiceover, i'm just so impressed with the job, she did yes and that's the final look she's just finalizing the cut and i'm pretty much finished here. I had a wedding to go to later, and this was the perfect style to show up in hi. This is my cut. After all, is said and done. Isn'T she cute? I call her the peter pan. I would highly recommend darlene at italia's salon. She does a fantastic job at short, haircuts, pixies and bobs um. I just feel on my tamron hall. I am currently dressed and you can see the face is she's kissed, i'm late for this wedding. It took so long. It took so long. I had a nine o'clock appointment. I didn't leave until 2 20 pm. Why? I don't know these are what gets me like you see that like who she didn't, she is chef's kiss. Do you see the sheen, and i love that it's just like really playful. She put a little - i don't know just a manageable tail in the back. I just feel really elegant and beautiful. I had hoops on, i didn't put them back in because it was just stunning that was my transformation. I have absolutely no regrets. I have no idea how i'm gon na maintain this, but i love it so much she's so cute like she's so cute. What do you guys think? Does it fit my face? Do you like? Would you get a pixie it's summertime?
