Hey hello, hi welcome or welcome back to my channel, so today i'm going to be doing some roller set curls in my hair. I haven't done a roller set in years, so this may turn out good or bad. We don't know, but we shall see in this video. I haven't washed my hair in like a week and a half it's weighed down by products. I need a washer and we will. I have this roller set right here. I think it's velcroy they're supposed to stay in place with the velcro, but i know for sure it ain't gon na stay in so i'll put in some pins to keep them in place. These are really old, like i've had these since middle school, and it's quite sad that i have to say that middle school is a really long time ago, i'm getting old anywho before we begin. Don'T forget to like this video comment down below anything. It helps with my engagement and subscribe hit that bell notification, so you get notified every time. I upload make sure it's on all and not personalized. So you get all my notifications and not just something here and there yeah socials will also be down below and without further ado. Let'S get right into this video okay, so we are now hopping into my shower and it was cold when i initially turned it on. So i was kind of shocked by the coldness, but we got the temperature right and now we're just wetting my hair, getting it ready to shampoo going in with my apogee damage shampoo. I use this in my other relaxed hair, video i'll, have it linked above and down below, but yeah. I'M really just scrubbing it in there making sure that my scalp is clean. Am i the only one that does weird stuff in the shower when i'm washing my hair? Please let me know if you also do this tomfoolery camera lens got foggy, so we're wiping it off. Oh hello, hi, rakia hi! Now i'm just washing the shampoo out of my hair and honestly, i'm really proud of my hair. When i first relaxed it, my hair was looking a bit iffy and damaged, but now she looks shiny and thick and healthy, and i love that i was recently sent this product to review and it's the meraki silky smooth, proactive, hair, repair and treatment. That'S a long name but pretty much. It'S just a protein treatment. That'S supposed to really condition your hair and your scalp make your hair feel super healthy and shiny, perfect. If you have damaged hair like myself since i recently relaxed my hair, my hair is damaged, so i first just apply the product with my hands and then i go in with my shampoo brush. I really like this. I got this from the beauty supply store and i just love using this to detangle my hair in the shower when it's wet. It'S so good. I really like that. This hair treatment is sulfate free because sulfates always make my hair feel like hay um. It'S paraben free cruelty, free and it's made with 100 natural ingredients and the consistency of this treatment just gives your hair a lost lip which is perfect for detangling your hair. I just twisted my hair up gon na put a shower cap on my head and leave this in my hair for 20 to 30 minutes, and we shall be right back 20 minutes later. Okay, it's been 20 to 30 minutes. So now we're going to remove the shower cap from my head and rinse this protein hair treatment out of my hair, and one thing that i really love about this protein hair treatment is that it doesn't dry out my hair if you have used protein treatments in Your hair before then, you know that protein really dries the heck out of your hair. But i think, since this product contains wheat, protein chamomile extract and a bunch of amino acids that are really good for strengthening your hair, but also moisturizing, your hair and scalp. At the same time, that's probably why you don't need to go in for conditioner after this protein treatment, which i like my hair, just felt nice and silky, smooth and strong, which is the key here in the game. Now i'm going to use this hair towel that meraki also sent me with their hair treatment and, honestly, i quite like this hair towel. I usually dry my hair with a cotton t-shirt just because i feel like regular towels are too harsh on my hair and they make my hair look frizzy, and i just don't like that. But this hair towel is really soft. So i just twist up the bottom part and hook that little elastic bit on the bun in the front and then boom your hair is all tied up. So this is how the hair towel looks on my head. I wish i came in more colors because i would love to have this in a black. It'S fine! So now i'm going to finish my shower and then we'll be right back to put the rollers in hi, i'm back, so we are going to remove the towel. Wrap off of my head - and this is how my hair looks - my hair - is about 90 dry like 90.95, it's pretty dry, so i like to go in with a liquid leave-in conditioner. So i'm going to use the aphogee pro vitamin leave-in conditioner. So i just pour the product in a dollarama spray bottle, just because it's easier to spray in my hair, then i go with a cream leave-in. So it's a 10 miracle leave-in conditioner! I like it because it moisturizes my hair and it contains silk. So it makes my hair feel nice and silky when i blow dry and strain my hair and it's a heat protectant too. So i really like it. Then i went and detangled my hair with the paddle brush that may rocky sent me and honestly. I kind of regret doing this because the palette brush wasn't that good for detangling, my hair, specifically when it was damp. So as you can see, i was kind of struggling a bit. It wasn't easy and then it got snagged on a knot in my hair and yeah it just it wasn't fun to detangle with this brush on dry hair. It'S fine on damp hair, not good, now we're finally gon na put the rollers in our hair. So for this i decided to do the mohawk method, where you part a section down the middle of your head, where you're going to put the big rollers just all the way down, and then you just put rollers coming down on either side. So i used one of the rollers just to measure out how wide i wanted the part b. So it's not too big and yeah. It'S not perfect, because i can't i'm not good at parting, my hair, but it doesn't really matter i feel like so now. I'M just going to take a piece of section from the front of my hair. I tried to not make it too big, because if the section is too big, then hair is just going to be falling out from either side of the roller, which is not good. Now, i'm just smoothing the hair onto the roller and just slowly rolling it down yeah. If your section is too big, make it a bit smaller because you don't want too much hair on one roller, or else your hair won't curl up nicely and then for the second roller. I went in the opposite direction, so the front roller i rolled it backwards. Second roller i rolled it forwards just because i wanted some more volumes, more texture in the hair, so i didn't want all the curl rollers to go in the same direction. So i just did the first roller going back. Second roller rolled it forward and then the third roller i rolled it back again, i feel like i should have done this back section a bit smaller, like split that one piece into two pieces. But at this point i was getting tired, like you guys, i'm cutting out the parts where i was struggling, but trust me i was struggling putting in these rollers okay. It took me way too long, so i most likely should have done these sections smaller and put more rollers in my hair, but i was getting tired. Your girl was tired, so yeah. This is one half of my head done. It doesn't look the best or the neatest, but it is what it is and for the side parts i sectioned off the hair from behind my ear to do the front bits of my hair and then the other section i just added rollers going down once again. The up down motion and, as you can see, here's a part of me struggling, i was really starting to give up. I was so close to taking a pair of scissors and cutting my hair out because i was getting mad. I was getting mad like look at me. Sweating. Look at me, stress sweating. I swear the velcro-ness of the rollers doesn't even help, because my hair would just get stuck in the velcro and it was just it was annoying, but yeah anywho for the two front, rollers on either side. I just rolled them both going upwards to add some volume and then for the back rollers on the sides. I just did the same up down rolling. I was really looking like a stay at home house mom with 10 kids, many unbearable hours later hello. It'S been about 2 hours, three hours since i put these rollers in my hair. I went underneath my hooded blow, dryer think bobber that i used in my curlformers video flashback, my goodness. This is awesome and a flashback, and i was underneath that for about an hour an hour and a half watching binge watching youtube videos and also doing my makeup look at this. We did like a little purpley halo eye moment. This side turned out pretty good, and this side looks rough. She looks crooked all over the place, dysfunctional just like my life, but hopefully it still turns out good. What the collect yourself maybe fix her okay. She doesn't look that bad okay. Maybe i just pulled her out a bit wrong because she she was looking demented. Oh, she feels fluffy. She feels bouncy and fluffy. Oh, i like that bit frizzy back there, but that's because i didn't roll the curlers properly. I feel like i probably should have done smaller sections. However, this roller set that i have is a small one, so my hair may be frizzy in some sections, but it's whatever honestly, i'm looking for this to kind of just mimic a uh blowout effect just really fluffy loose waves, nothing super curly. The velcro is kind of annoying because it'd be like catching up on my hair, um, okay. So this is the final results and honestly, i'm not mad at it. It'S very fluffy and very voluminous, which i like there's a lot of nice volume. I don't know my hair feels nice and healthy. It looks nice and shiny yeah. Overall, i'm pretty satisfied with how the hair is. Looking, it's giving me very much. 70S vibes, it's cute, it's a vibe! It'S a look! I hope you guys enjoyed this video. If you did once again don't forget to like comment and subscribe all the products i used will be listed down below my light. Just died, oh no anywho! Thank you for watching and i'll see you guys in the next video bye, guys.

Emily K: Love the result, this came out beautifully. What I found helped me was peeling off the Velcro from the rollers, as my hair loves to stay attached to it and went frizzy when I had the Velcro on the rollers.
