Good morning guys and welcome back to coffee and makeup, my name is Brittany and in this video I'm gon na be showing you guys a cool and an interesting hairstyle. That requires no heat and it is a hairstyle for those of us with long hair. So what I mean by long hair is that your hair should be at least at your mid-back in length for you to be able to do this. Look, so I will show you on my hair. My hair is about waist length at this point, but your hair needs to be at least right around here, a bit below your bra strap for you to be able to achieve this. Look if it's a little shorter, you can still try. It just might require more tries and a little bit more work on your part, and also this hairstyle works best for those of us with no layers or long layers in their hair. So I have long layers. I don't have any issues if you have very layered hair, then you can still do this. Look as long as it's the right length, but you may find that you have to pinning some flyaway crazy layers at the end, which is not a big deal, but it might require a little bit more work in that respect. Also so the cool thing about this hairstyle, it's sort of a fun. It'S like a simple bun hairstyle, but the cool thing is that I'm gon na be using this item, which is called a hair fork, and I haven't seen much talk of these on YouTube. So it may be that you've never even seen one or heard of them before, but they're, really cool they're, just a stick made out of wood, you can get them made out of metal plastic and they have prongs on them. This one is two prongs, but you can get as many as four or five pronged, hair, Forks and in different designs. Some of them are carved like this one, which i got an etsy I'll link the seller below, and you can also get some decorative ones that have a little. I guess ornamental things hanging off of them, which make your hairstyle look very fancy, even though you're not putting a lot of effort into it, which is great, and these hair Forks also aren't that damaging to your hair as elastics and such might be. So if you're trying to keep your hair very healthy and trying to avoid mechanical damage, then this is definitely a good way to go. So if you don't have one of these pick one up and I'm going to show you all how to use it right now. Alright guys so the first thing I'm gon na do is grab my hair and put it into a ponytail and I'm also going to get a brush. This is a tangle teezer and I'm going to brush all of the potential flyaways around the nape of my neck and the crown of my head into the ponytail as well. I'M gon na mention this later in the video, but you can always leave these flyaways out and that will give your bun more of a romantic and soft look. But in my case I'm brushing them all in it's important when you're doing this ponytail that you put the ponytail exactly where you want your bun to go. So I want my bun right here on the back of my head. So I'm not doing the ponytail at the top or the top corner of my head. I want it right there on the back of my head and that's where I'm making the ponytail. Then I take this hair and I start to twist it you guys, might be familiar with this method of making a bun, because you don't need to have a hair fork to really do this, but I'm gon na be twisting it around itself in a circle, and It'S important that you don't let the hair stack on itself, so you want to keep it flat as you're twisting it around, and I'm doing that by holding it down with my hand, then, when you get to the end of your hair, continue twisting it as much As you can and you're gon na tuck, this part underneath of the bun itself and that'll, ensure that the bun doesn't start coming out randomly. So here is the tip of the hair right here and I'm tucking it very far under the bun. Then I'm grabbing my hair fork and I'm pushing it through the top of my bun towards the front of the room. Then, with the prongs I'm going to try to snag some of the hair from the top of my head and loop, it into the fork almost and then turn the fork back and press it down through the center of the bun. When I'm doing this, I feel for the prongs at the bottom of the bun, so that I can make sure it's going to be straight and not crooked, on my head. So that's something to consider. As you can see, I'm feeling with my thumbs the bottom of the prongs to make sure that it's going to come out straight and the is the finished result. It'S quite easy and it gives you a very cute doughnut-shaped bun, here's a couple angles of the bun for you to see alright. So hopefully you guys got a pretty good look at that. I'M gon na try to be very clear about the instructions on making this fun when I'm dubbing the video - and hopefully you liked what you saw. I know it's a very simple bun, even though it has the decorative hair fork, but there are so many options for those of you that, like to have more romantic hairstyles, I suppose so one great option would be to pull out some hairs from your bangs or The sides of your head and braid them into the bun and just pin them right in, and that would look amazing also, if you prefer a tassel romantic look, you can pull some hairs out, make it more messy or you can pull some flyaways out at the Base of your neck, and that would definitely soften up the look a little bit for me, this is perfect. This is exactly how I like it. I'M a simple person. I like simple look. So, for me, this is as good as it gets, and I love doing this hairstyle. It'S quick and easy. Also, it's a cool party trick to just pull the stick out of your hair and have your hair totally fall out, because I mean it's kind of amazing that your hair can be held all in one place by just like a wooden stick. So that's just another bonus, I suppose. So if you don't have a hair fork, run out and get one now and try this, and let me know how you like it, and I also want to say that, as promised in my first video, I am going to schedule when I put my videos out. So this video I'm going to put out on day morning hopefully and that from then on, I'm going to be putting out videos every Monday. So you can look forward to that. I certainly am looking forward to filming them and if I decide to do two videos or more in a week than the others will just be bonuses out at random times. But I am committing to doing at least one video a week and putting it out on Monday, so I hope to see you all in those videos and I hope you enjoyed today's video. Let me know how you liked it and I will see you guys later. Bye guys
