Hello and welcome to this video today, I'm going to show you guys how I get these tight waves in my hair. This has been my go-to hairstyle since high school. I swear. I love these waves, so so much and they're really easy and heatless so you're not damaging any of your hair. So with that being said, if you guys want to see how I got these waves, then just keep on watching just a fair warning. If you do not know how to French braid, I am so sorry, I'm gon na try my hardest to do a good job at explaining, I'm not the greatest at explaining things, especially step-by-step instructions. I am just like do what I'm doing and what hope that you get it. You know you know what, if you know how to French braid, then you want it. But if you don't know how to French braid, I would either try to pay close attention to my fingers and actually taught myself literally every single day. I practice so if you know you're not at that level of French braiding, yet you might want to continue to practice and then come back to this video and be like alright. What'S she do so? The best first thing you're gon na need is water. This is just to dampen your hair next you're going to need. Unless you know you use products in your hair, then you don't have to use products. I just prefer this because it helps the waves to stay and longer just some regular hairspray and literally does not matter. What grant you use any brand is fine, so first thing, you're gon na do is clearly separate your hair into two parts and I'm looking in the mirror. I'M going to need to see it's like 4:30, where I am right now, so I'm gon na let these stay in overnight. I normally uh like for them to stay. In my hair, like for a long time, people say like a few hours is fine, but you know I personally prefer my curls or waves to be really. Let me take out my cheap forever21 earrings before they rust, so I normally do the right side of my hair first. That makes them so this side I put both up. So I look like you know this, so you gon na take your water and you're just going to dampen your hair, don't soak it, but this allows the the wave to like cling. You know on as opposed to just like you know, once you take it out, it might stay in the curls might stay in for a little bit, but then, as time goes on, they will fall a lot quicker. If you don't want to brush your hair, then just get a like to comb or just when your fingers through it, I guess make sure you have your League eyes or hair ties whatever you want to call it your going to take a piece of hair like From the front, so I don't, let me take about this much of hair from the front. I don't know if you see, but this is like the front this is, I said, my hair, so I'm gon na go ahead and take that piece and separate it into three little pieces. I don't know if you can see that, but I just separated it into three pieces. So with this hand, I'm gon na take the first piece and then I'm with another finger, take the second piece and then here's the third piece. So now I have two pieces kind of like these two fingers holding the middle piece, these two fingers holding the first piece and then this hand holding this piece. So now what you're going to do is twist so not twist the hair but kind of like switch. So this piece is going to go into this hand and then the middle piece is going to go into this hand, make sense see boom. Now I have a free hand. I'M gon na take a piece of hair and bring that in and then do the same thing twist three hands take a piece of hair: bring that in hold that twist free hand. Take that piece and then you're, going to twist again free and grab a piece of hair from this side and twist free hand grab a piece from this side. Then you're going to twist free hand. I don't know if you guys get the concept, I'm trying to show you. If you can't see I'm terribly sorry, I'm trying to show you as much as I can. If you see my dry scalp, I'm so sorry, I have a really dry scalp. So, instead of making fun of me, if you could just like recommend products to help my dry scalp that'd be great, so we're just trying to bring each other up in the world, not knock each other down Thanks. Well, as you see, I'm still twisting and I'm gon na go all the way down and, depending on how short your hair is, you can go all the way down with the hair um. It'S like the same thing as braiding. Only you're just kind of grabbing pieces of the hair that's attached to the head, as opposed to, like you, know, loose hair like this you're grabbing it that's closer to the scalp and you're keeping it connected. If that makes any type of sense, and now it's starting to get into a regular braid, so you're just gon na go ahead and raise the rest of that down and if you don't know how to do a normal braid, then I don't know. I don't know how to help you, French braid, you see how it's all connected and everything isn't tight and yeah I'm gon na. Let that sit and I'm gon na go ahead and do the other side all right. So all of my hair is braided. I you can see it's all done, um now what I normally do, if you aren't a fan of hairspray or any other products, you can skip this step, but I'm just gon na go ahead and take some hairspray. I don't apply a lot as you just seen. I barely applied any. I just like to keep just a little bit in just so the hair locks in better and your waves come out a lot nicer. So now I'm just gon na leave these in my hair, it's about 4:45 right now. I normally like to braid my hair earlier in the day. Look around this time that way it fully process. They were the evening into the night carrying into the morning and then in the morning when I take my braids out, the waves are really tight and look really nice me personally. That'S I just like keeping them in for as long as possible because that I don't know hopes the tightness and longevity of your curl because they will fall throughout the day if you don't put like any sort of hairspray or curling cream in there. But yeah I'm going to carry on with the rest of my day and I will see you guys in the morning alright, so it is now the next day I'm just gon na go ahead and take out my braids if your hair is shorter than mine. I do suggest sleeping with a scarf around your head during the night that way your braids don't come undone while you're sleeping but yeah, I'm just gon na go ahead and take out the braids when my fingers do them just to fluffing them up so they're. Not so looking like ringlets, I don't know and then just play with my hair a little bit fluff it up, get it to the volume that I want it to be, and then I start forming my part that I normally go for yeah. If you want to add some hairspray, you can do that, but I already applied a decent amount before so I didn't apply any more but yeah. That'S all. I really do if you guys want to see more hair videos. Please leave a comment down below and yeah. You want some music. Can i film, please send you another one. I know, but like you're, just acting oh shoot. Oh you distracted that close enough.

Andreea: I just did that and my hair looks bomb. i naturally have wavy hair but if i brush it it just gets puffy and look bad and if i dont brush it, it's just a hot mess. I will definetly do this like every day. please do more hair videos

Kat: Her: Twist, grab a piece, freehand, twist, grab a piece, freehand Me: twist, grab a piece, twist, freehand, twist, shake profusely, grab a piece, freehand, question my entire existence, twist, cry yourself to sleep

megan dixey: I was trying to grow my hair waist length but this makes me want to cut it short again. Edit: I cut my hair short again today.

Hutch: ⚠️For those who don’t know how to French braid⚠️ Wash your hair, dry it a bit, and while it’s still damp put your hair into 2 high space buns, and leave it over night, then take it out in the morning... thats what I do and it works perfectly fine, and I have shorter hair than hers... soo it works

amber: sometimes i want to cut my hair that short but i’m gonna look like DORA

Daniela Itriago: This is my first time really trying a tutorial, immediately! I've actually have curly hair, but I also have dry scalp recently, so I don't know if it's because some product, or the weather, so I'm not using anything. And I really needed something like this, thanks!!! You're beautiful, your eyebrows and your hair

onakiisses ;: her : if you don’t know how to frenchbrai- me : ight imma head out

carmelita V: Who else grows up calling hair ties legas or colas

kuro: Thanks! This is WAY better then putting 15 braids in my hair

Lydia Eden: I literally love this video and the video with the French twists because my hair is about the same length and texture as yours so it works really well! Thanks g

Madisun Close: For your scalp, I recommend the Aussie deep conditioner in moist. It helped me, I mainly put it directly onto my scalp. ❤️

Rose Bogen: Ahhh this was amazing I’ve been trying to find a video to curl short hair quick no heat and this video hit it spot on!❤️ nice job

Wendy Perez: Oh my gosh bless!!!! Until recently my hair was too damn short to put into braids and now I know the secret to cute natural curly hair Also I never knew the difference between a liga or a cola ‍♀️

amy crine: this is by far tbe best heatless curls on youtube

jaylen Garcia: I swear I use to do this my whole junior & senior year ❤️ they came out so nice that I got so many compliments on how I did them

Britney: For the dry scalp, all you can do is on weekends or on days you don't go out, you can just dampen your roots with coconut or olive oil. Try doing this at least twice a week and leave it on for a lengthy period of time. This will moisten your dry scalp and eventually, the dry scalp will get better. I promise :))

s t e f a n n i i: YOU MAKE ME WANNA CUT MY HAIRRR

Elizabeth Brent: This is a great method! Gorgeous hair! For people with longer hair, I have found that if you do the braids as close to the middle of your head it helps to avoid lack of definition or volume at the back of your head. Since longer hair is more weighed down.

Julie Abcede: turned out so cute!!love it!

ClandestineGirl16X: you are the best for making this!!! cant wait to try it thank you

Temony Burke: DEFINITELY doing this for pictures tomorrow!!!!

Ana Campos: so this is the first time i watch this video and i love it! your hair looked sooo cute afterwards!! also for dry scalp there is the African Black Soap Shampoo and Conditioner by Shea Moisture!! i haven't tried it myself yet but it says it calms dry itchy (and i think flaky) scalp! (:

bæley: This hairstyle really looks good on you! I can’t wait to try it myself

Abby Drake: Came for the tutorial, stayed for your hilarious personality

αмєlι ᴍ: I have been trying this method for 3 months now since I've seen ur video. And it's the best. My curls don't hold for long. But this method gives tight curls that last for sooo long!!! Tysm

Lindaaa aaa: It looks sooo natural

Noems Caceres: Please do more hair videos. This video helped a lot on how to get waves. So please more hair videos ❤️

Kamia Bruh: I do a bunch of really tiny French braids. Makes it look really curly. It looks great half up.

Rebecca: Just braided my hair can’t wait for the results ( I already knew that you can achieve „curls“ with that method but actually only tried Dutch braiding it which didn’t work that well sooo ) :)

brittany loesch: Thank youuuuuu for this video babe ❤️ love your hair!!

Ashley Luna: Thank you it helped a lot❤️

Liv'in Like Caley: you're so FLIPPIN gorgeous and a LIFE SAVER, this video is going to be huge I can already see it

Faith Lawhead: First of you are gorgeous! I understand the struggle with dry scalp. I use Nizoral shampoo (I get mine from meijer $15) and it really helps. I massage it in to my scalp really well and let it sit for a couple minutes. I only wash my hair everyother day, sometimes I go longer. I also do a jamacian castor oil mask once a week/every 2 weeks depending on if I have the time. Let it sit for an hr or two, but you have to wash it out really well. So I usually use a regular shampoo then go in with my Nizoral and condition. Hope this helps you! Thanks for the turorial, I loved how my hair turned out!

dannae: please do more hair videos! thank you .

Iman Mudey: Sooo glad I’ve found this video ❤️❤️❤️ I’ve recently cut my hair and I don’t have a straightener or curler so I just leave it but you have helped ma life thxx

Tia T: Looks really good on you!

Winter Winter: for dry scalp my bro has it to he uses aragon oil on his scalp and he uses morocco oil conditioner and tea tree shampoo works wonders

Brianna Jones: For your dry scalp... lift the scaliness with a lice comb to speed up the flaking off process. Then dab a little "Glover's Medicated Ointment" to your scalp and keep that on over night. Rinse your scalp with 50/50 ACV/H20 mixture before shampooing in the morning. Do that like you would a deep conditioning treatment, every other week or so. If it doesn't go away after a couple treaments (or if it comes back in less than two weeks) than you might be allergic to a product you're using or something else more than than a simple dry scalp. Like dairy, nuts or fruit. Dry skin is a form of inflammation, if you can find and omit what is causing it, you will *for sure* will notice other aspects of your health improve as well like quality of sleep, energy level and appetite. Great video, thanks! .

hms: I have really similar hair to you, but I've found that constantly parting my hair on the side has made the hair thin quite a bit. How do you keep your hair so thick and healthy looking??

crazy keiana: keep your hair short girl it looks so good on you!

Marise AJ: thank you alotttttt I swear its been 1 week since I do this hair style because I cut my hair and everyone compliments me and thanks to you and my hair is really healthy.

With that being said; usually I would start off my french braid all ugly & bulky then the rest of the braid would be laid. After this video I know how to start off the french braid. We speak the same language thanks!

Adventurous Janee: You’re soooo pretty with the braids ❤️

Doodling Potato: Keeping it real . I also have a dry scalp bc my shampoo dries it out, I use selsun blue, the one with the red label. It works for me, but I wish I can find a natural way instead.

Dark Angel: This also kind of works with just normal braids too. It’s not as curly, but it still works if you don’t know how to French braid.

arielle del rosario: i have naturally straight hair and whenever i do this it looks completely different, anyone else???

Chrisxtty: I already have curly hair and seeing you with curly short hair makes me R E A L L Y want to cut it omfg you pull it off

Fer Irais: Try massaging your scalp with tea tree oil, the smell isn't that nice but since it's a natural antifungee and moisturizer it is worth it. Or aloe, same procedure as tea tree oil it also helps you grow your hair if it's combined with neem oil

Manasi Bahutale: Oh ! It really works Thanks

lonely ghost: wish my natural curls looked half as cute as this

Iced Coffee: THANK YOU SO FREAKING MUCH

sydney gatten: Mixing a tablespoon of tumeric powder in your shampoo or conditioner before washing gets rid of dry scalp. It's for inflammation which is what causes dry scalp so I highly recommend . Id look up videos before hand cause I haven't done it in years but it got rid of my dry scalp!!!

Jenna Sakol: HI you do NOT understand how many years, videos, and personal teachings I have been through trying so hard to learn how to french braid and then 5 MINUTES into your video I FINALLY got it... You are an angel and a LEGEND you do not understand lol omg Ily thank you ❤️

I know how to french braid and i am pretty good at it (If i do say so myself) but when i do french braid my hair it tends to go really loose really fast because of how short and layered my hair is and im not sure how to fix it so if you have advice please to share :)

Sarene G: What lip product where you wearing in this video? And for those asking, you can do this with dutch braids, as well

Sára Tomorszki: My only question : so I can use the hairspray while my hair is wet or should I dry before?

Isabel jeseva: Keep making videos you're great

Beauty4you 91: Put coconut oil on your roots/scalp even your ends if they need a little reviving and leave it for about 30 minuets to an hour. You may have to wash your hair a couple times for it not to be greasy but afterwards its sooo healthy and shiny

Cassandra.Lynn.11: You have such a cute personality! Love this vid, thanks :)

Dog Scott: Your hair is so pretty, I love natural black hair

alisha hemsley: I get eczema on my scalp. I use lush fairly traded honey shampoo and lush American cream conditioner and they do an amazing job of preventing my scalp from getting dry and sore.
