The length, oh, my god, let me start on the length - go what's up, sis welcome back to you, girl's channel, it's your guest, it's curly chris, and today's video we're going to be getting into a hair update, because we have a whole lot to chat about. If you are new to girls channel make sure to go ahead and subscribe, we'll love to have you over here. This channel is all about beauty, lifestyle fashion, natural hair vlogs. So if you like that, you will love this, so you guys already know that with my content, i'm all about natural hair, as well as just taking care of your hair in general. So before we get into the actual hair update portion of this video and me getting ready, i first want to rewind to when i had curly hair and show you guys a few tips and tricks that i use on my hair to get my curls nice and Popping and also a balm detangling tool that you most definitely need to use and incorporate into your hair routine. So, let's rewind to that footage and then we're going to get on with this hair update on wash day. One of the best investments you can make is a good detangling tool to make detangling easy and reducing frizz the tangle teaser wide tooth comb is perfect for detangling my curls quickly and it glides through my hair, with less pulling and tugging. This comb has two different sides. The shorter side has two tier teeth which are perfect for providing a deeper detangle and to help eliminate stubborn knots and remove the shed hair. While the long side has wide set teeth that are sturdy to detangle, hair gently but effectively and also helps to reduce breakage and is very gentle on the hair and scalp, now to me, it's very important to have a good detangle on your wash day, because it Also does to help eliminate frizz. If you are using good products and detangling your hair properly, it will help in the styling process, which will overall help the outcome to be less frizzy and more defined. Now i did like to use the two tier teeth on the shorter side to actually detangle my hair after i had thoroughly detangled it with the longer side to make sure that i did detangle thoroughly and there were no more knots or anything and here's a little Tip, i also feel like the shorter side kind of defined, my curls pretty pretty well because they were more popping once i use the shorter side now, you guys can just see that bounce back bounce, the bounce back, okay, the hair - was looking so so good. So now i'm going to move on to my styling process and show you guys how i use this comb in the styling process as well, because it is also very essential for eliminating frizz and making sure your in styles are highly highly defined. Now, one tip that i do want to give to eliminate frizz is always to apply some type of product in the shower. Before stepping out, i already applied my leave-in and i'm going to make making sure that my hair is thoroughly detangled one more time with the comb and then i'm going to start. My sections, with the twist out also a big tip, is to work in smaller sections and use a tool. That'S going to actually define your curls and that's why i did like to use the side of the comb with the two tier teeth because, like i said, i feel like that side actually does help with the definition of my curls. So after i'm going to start with my two strand twist and i'm gon na be showing you guys exactly how my hair came out popping popping results also when i'm halfway done the twist. This is a pro tip that i always tell you guys make sure that you are detangling halfway down. This helps the definition and also it helps for your end results to be less frizzy because you did detangle thoroughly so now it's time to get into the popping final results and baby. You need to get this tango, teaser wide tooth comb right now. The curls are popping so now y'all seen that that comb is bomb okay, you most definitely do need it. So now, let's move on to the hair of date, and we're also going to be doing some makeup in this video as well. While i am talking just so, it's not so boring because i feel like just talking to the camera only will be kind of boring. So i wanted to amp it up a little bit and just let you guys get ready with me as well so child. Where do we start so as far as my hair goes clearly, i still have my braids in and y'all it's been over a month that i've had them in and i have absolutely no regrets so far. I am literally loving in this protective style life. I feel like it was when i think back one of the best decisions i could have made. As far as me really needing a break from my hair. I honestly want to try to make it to the two month mark, but i just don't know if that's realistic at this point, because i'm just starting to like they still look good overall but there's a lot of flyaways going on and it's kind of more flyaways Than like a moose could handle or could tackle, because girl these flyaways are flying away. You hear me like they are literal hairs at this point, they're not even like little small pieces coming out. The braid is like full grown hairs girl. So i'm like. I don't really know what i'm gon na do in accents, but we'll, but we shall see - and i know i actually have a pretty good amount of new growth as well, and the parts are kind of looking a little messy. But i ain't gon na lie to y'all. I kind of actually do like whenever my parts look a tad bit more messy. I feel like it makes the braids look a tad bit more natural. You know what i'm saying so. I also recently made a post on my instagram about how long i planned on keeping my braids in and, like i said two months, and so many people were commenting under that post about how long they like to keep their braids in some people were saying three Months, four months, they even said i'm gon na keep my braids in the amount of days. That'S how much money i paid for. So if i paid 200, these braids are staying in my head for 200 days period and i was like you know what that's not a bad idea, but that just brings me to wonder how long do you guys plan on keeping your braids in or your protective Styles and how long exactly does that last for you or do you plan for it to last now some other common questions that i was getting as far as my braids go? Where are they heavy and are they annoying like the length that i got so for me personally, my braids are not heavy whatsoever as far as like when i'm walking or like whenever i happen in a ponytail, they like make me want to go like that. Like they're, not heavy, in my opinion, um, they are heavier than my natural hair. But to me it doesn't bother me at all, like they're, very, very lightweight, so i'm not sure that it's because of the technique that the girl used to install my braids or the hair that she used. But my hair is not in any way shape or form. Actually heavy now are they annoying? Yes, they can get annoying y'all, because if you think about it, having hair this long, it could really really really become annoying by like every single time. I go to turn my head they're like falling over here. Like this side, my hair is coming over or like they're, just always kind of getting in my way, which is why i love to have them like in a ponytail, because, if they're not in a ponytail they're, just all in my face - and i just i want My hair, in my face, when i put it in my face, i don't want it to just automatically always be in my face, so that's why i prefer to keep them in a ponytail most of the time, but whenever i am wearing them down, i mean they. Don'T bother me at all or anything like that, but they can become annoying if you aren't used to having like extremely butt-lit hair, which i don't think any of us are now. When do i plan on taking my braids out, so it's already been one month that i had them in a month, maybe, like i think, a month and some a few days by now, maybe like a month and a half, i'm not thinking about it, because we're Already in july today is july 3rd, so probably a month and a half so probably about two more weeks i'll have them in two or three more weeks. If that and i'll be taking them out and the style that i want to do next is going to be with my natural hair i kind of want to like. I don't want to wear my natural hair for a very long time, but i do want to just do at least a few a few styles with it to produce some content for you, guys, speaking of natural hair content and just natural hair in general, i have A question for y'all do y'all feel like the natural hair community is dying out like do y'all feel like the natural hair community is as popping as it used to be. Let me know in the comments, because i feel like that's a really good conversation to have and we're going to have it right now. Me personally, i feel, like people are very tired of their natural hair. People are also they people need a break. I feel like whenever the summer time comes, people are like. I want a break from this hair, i'm tired of dealing with x, y and z, i'm tired doing my hair every single day. I want to go on vacation. I don't want. I don't want to have to worry about my hair on vacation and i feel, like all those are very, very valid reasons to feel the way that you feel um. Am i tired of my natural hair in a way i am, but once again i feel like it's because of the climate i feel like it's very hot outside. So i feel, like me, have me worrying about my natural hair. Right now is not something that is a priority to me, taking flight and being on somebody's beach with a mimosa or a pina colada or a margarita. In my hand, that's priority to me and me having to do this hair every single day, while i'm on that vacation ain't gon na happen. It'S also just like much hotter. So whenever you're dealing with humidity, i feel like people do not want to deal with humidity. In this climate with their hair, because none of the styles are really going to last like we want them to last, so i just feel like the natural hair community is dying down for a season. Because of that, i don't feel like the natural community is gone completely or will die down completely ever, but i do feel like it's. It'S not going to be as popular like. Even when the winter comes. I just feel like it's not going to be as popping as it used to be, and it's also because of how toxic the community has become. Like the nitrates, the natural community has really become very, very toxic with people's opinions, people's um prejudice against certain hair types. All of that has kind of become a problem in my opinion, and i feel like it's going to continue to become a problem. It'S the sun coming out for me. Yes, ma'am. I find it's going to continue to become a problem and something that's not going to change unless people change their mindsets and i feel like that's not going to happen, there's so much toxicity in the natural community and that's also why a lot of people just aren't Wanting to be here, i feel like we have to separate. Are you tired of your natural hair? Let me scoot over okay, i feel like we have to separate. Are you tired of your natural hair, or are you tied the natural hair community, because those are two completely different things right like we could be tired of the community because it's filled with toxic people but you're, not tired of your actual hair? So i feel like that's something that also has to be separated and like talked about, but honestly, i really do feel like everybody is this time it's over a natural community like that the natural community is basura, okay, basura trash baby, i feel, like people are kind Of bent over natural hair community and all the different opinions and all the different prejudices about people's hair types porosity the way that the length - oh, my god, don't let me start on the lamp y'all people are just so crazy, so length crazy, just very judgmental when It comes to the natural community, which is crazy because it should be something that's like uplifting us, but it just seems like whenever it comes to our people. We find some kind of way to make it negative to turn something. That'S positive into something negative. To compare to judge, like i don't know girl, i just feel like i'm more in this in the season of doing what pleases me and doing what i want to do like, especially when it comes to my hair. I'M doing the things that make me happy with my hair: i'm not doing something for views or doing something for attention. Well, i ain't gon na lie. I did do that. Color wow straighten things for views, because i knew that people really really wanted it and that's part of my job but other than that, like i'm, not in this, i'm not in the sense or in the what is it i'm not in the the um, i'm not In the business there we go, i'm not in the business of pleasing people at all. Okay, especially not in this moment in my life, i'm in the business of pleasing crystal and that's like, especially with my hair. That'S the thing that i'm gon na do, which is why i'm enjoying protective styling i'm enjoying scaling back on natural hair content, i'm just enjoying it completely like it's most definitely needed, especially the scaling back on natural hair content. So many people well. Actually, i feel, like you guys, surprisingly, are really enjoying me having regular content like lifestyle content over natural hair content for right now, because you guys realize like okay, we get it like enough. Is enough at some point how much natural hair content do you want? How much natural hair content do you want to see at some point like you're going to be like okay, yeah? I want to see something else, so i feel like me adjusting with the times it's something that you guys are really really enjoying by me, which is why y'all are really enjoying my lifestyle type of content, and i thank you guys for that, like i really really Do it took a while it's still taking a while for my um viewers to get adjusted to other types of content, but i do feel like you guys, are really really enjoying it, and i'm just grateful for that. I really really am it's kind of just like if i give five years to the game: the natural hair game, okay, i've given like five years of just straight natural hair content, y'all and that becomes tiring. I really i thoroughly enjoyed it. I love, i still love creating natural hair content, but it is very tiring, it's very time consuming as well, and it becomes repetitive it's kind of like lifestyle content like my vlogs. My life is never repetitive, so i feel like that's something that you guys would enjoy watching me watching more of and becoming a try, um and start to like because it's something that's new fresh every single week, it's someone's life that you're watching versus watching someone do Another twist out, another braid out another you know wash and go like that becomes very repetitive. So, of course i want you guys opinions. I want you to tell me what y'all think about that topic. Do y'all feel like the natural. The natural hair community is dying out. Do you guys feel like natural hair content becomes repetitive at some point or another? What exactly do you guys think about that topic? I also feel like when it comes to any influencers that are currently getting into natural hair content. Like if you're an influencer watching this and you're starting out like you're starting out trying to create content, one thing that i would highly recommend of you is to not only post natural hair content if you're starting out on your platform or whatever. I would recommend that you post some type of lifestyle content from the jump as well, because what will happen is you'll see like, even though you may have a lot of topics right now to talk about when it comes to your natural hair. Those topics are eventually going to die out because it becomes repetitive so try to create other types of content so that your viewers are used to that from the start. And so that way, you don't have to work with trying to adjust your niche completely, because that can also make you lose viewers. So if you've always created this content, then they're gon na start to like you for all of that type of content. If that makes sense, but in that same breath, don't don't do too many different types of content like it's it's it's like. Don'T do perfume reviews, vlogs, shoe, reviews, natural hair, jewelry reviews, because then it becomes too much. You know what i'm saying and that's just something that i'm explaining off of like my experience with youtube. Take it don't take it i'm just like it doesn't really matter me, i'm just trying to give like something that i feel like i wish i would have done. Basically, now i feel, like we've talked a whole lot about the natural hair community and everything. So my next topic that i want to talk about is going to be back on my braids, and that's basically am i going to be washing. My braids, like it's been a month and a half or a month and like a week or whatever sis, are you washing them dog on braids? What'S what's tea, what you doing, what are you doing over there um? Yes, i am in the next vlog. Actually, i'm gon na be washing my braids and i'm so excited because i just like it's time. I really do hope that they look really really fresh once i'm finished, because i really just want to go for like a fresh look. So that's what i'm going for whenever i do wash them. I just think it's so funny how, whenever we get a protective style, we treat it like it's literally our hair, like i'm about to wash kanekalon like we literally treat our protective styles like it's our hair, baby. Okay - and i love that for us - i really really do but as y'all can see, i just not did my no foundation routine, which is really what i'm heavily doing during the summer time, because about having foundation on on top of concealer and all that it just Becomes kind of heavy in the summer, so i like to do this routine because it's very lightweight on my face and i use more concealer and powder so that that way, it's more dryer products instead of using a foundation as well, because it's just it's just too Hot okay, also, if you want to see this routine more in depth or not in depth, but on instagram, i did this whole routine on instagram as well, and you guys are also really enjoying that video. I feel, like everybody just wants to be flute out and on vacation this summer and the less that we have to worry about our hair, the better okay because baby, who got time who got time. So i actually want to ask you all opinion slash help on something. So with my braids, the top of my braids are getting very, very frizzy and the only thing at this point that could really help my braids is going to be a gel. But i don't want to put a gel on my hair because in case you guys don't know if you put a gel on braids or any kind of protective style, especially at the root you're, going to form a knot. Okay, when you go to take it out and it's going to be a dried up, gel knot. So if you do have braids, please do not put gel on your scalp, because that gel is going to dry. It may make the braids look better, but it's going to dry, okay and once it dries it's going to make a knot at the base and that's going to be really really hard. When you take the braids out you're going to have a ball at your root, let me know in the comments, if you guys have any type of ideas of what i can do to combat that. But yes, that's pretty much what the gist of like what i wanted to speak to you guys about. As far as my next hairstyle goes, i plan on doing the faux. It'S like a faux wait. What are they called the ones boho boho braids, but on your with your natural hair that was so cute to me. Maybe i shouldn't have mentioned that just now, because y'all gon na really hold me to it and if i don't actually do y'all gon na be asking for it, but that is a style that i really do want to do on my hair. I just saw it on tick, tock i'll insert a picture of it on here i saw it on tic toc and i was like omg that is gorgeous. I love love, love, how that looks, and i think that would be a really really cute style for summer. As well, because, even though it may be like a little tingly, but it's giving a little vibe in my opinion, do y'all see how that blush. Just i'm going in with these sephora lashes they're in the style flirty, they are just the perfect little lash. In my opinion, look at that lash y'all, like i just love this lash, it's so minimal, but makes a statement as well. So here is the final look, and i love this simple makeup routine. Thank you guys so much for tuning in to today's hair update and since you guys did get all that information. Let me know what content you guys want to see from me on my channel drop that in the comments down below i'm going to be reading every single comment, and also replying to you guys thank y'all. So i really do appreciate you guys so much and if you are new to girls channel, make sure to go ahead and subscribe and also check out that tangled teaser comb, because it is really really bomb tune in to the next vlog as well. So you guys can see how i wash my braids and that whole routine and everything so thank you guys so much for watching and i'm gon na see you guys in my next video slash, vloggy vlog peace. You

Katy The Beauty: I feel like the natural hair community is dying out in a way. I think in the past people felt so restricted with their hair and now we’re just doing what makes us happy with our hair. I used to have so many rules with my hair (Can’t use heat, wash day routines, can’t do certain hairstyles because it’s not “healthy”) I just feel so free with my hair now and I got tired of being obsessed with hair that grows on my head.

Kearsten W: I don't think it matters if the natural hair community is dying because those who truly love natural hair and enjoy the experience of sharing it with others are going to do it regardless. Natural hair is not a trend to me, it's a way of life. So the people who jump on when it's trendy and then jump off when it's not, it's not a good look. I will continue to support the "non-toxic" natural hair community And yes, I also feel as if I am extremely tired of the toxic atmosphere, BUT I'm not tired of my hair! I'M SO TURNED OFF BY TOXIC PEOPLE IN THESE YOUTUBE streets DRAGGING NATURAL HAIR. You don't have to wear your hair natural but you also don't have to drag people and be rude when it comes to your opinion. Putting in a protective Style while you're on vacation is understandable but I rock my wash and go all year long. The humidity really doesn't bother me because I know what to use to somewhat shield my hair from the elements and humidity. I'm not saying it's foolproof but everyone has their tricks. Also I'm the type of person that loves big hair so the humidity doesn't really bother me. Washing my hair once a week is not a lot of work for me. I've worn weaves, wigs, braids, crochet braids and other " protective styles" and I enjoyed them at the time. Like I said, there's nothing wrong with them as long as you don't leave them in your hair forever...cuz some people do that, LOL Also, I feel like when the natural hair community became mostly about money and monetization, things drastically changed. Some cases it became an issue of if you're not paying me then I'm not promoting your product. And that's perfectly fine because everyone has a right to run their platform the way they see fit. That's all for now

Laedi Kay: I don’t think the natural hair community is dying out, it’s just evolving. New things get old and old mindsets MUST evolve. So as we learn how to treat our natural hair with a variety of styles in moderation the stringent standards become more liberal. Natural hair and the community is and will always be a beautiful thing for me. I just had to learn what works for my hair long term may require stepping out of the box every now and again. Love your content, keep up the good work, you have come a loooong way Love. And I’m enjoying your revolution. Stay blessed

beekiebookie: Yep I agree - the community is dry and I feel like it breeds insecurity and toxic hair obsession. The constant striving for waist length hair (um who has time to detangle that……) and manipulating your curls into a different shape (but shaming people who dare to straighten their hair) gags me. Thanks to your colorwow review I’ve been able to wear my hair straight and I am LOVING IT. Hell I might keep it like this all summer. Thank you for giving us helpful content along with lifestyle. I really enjoy your channel & im excited to see where you take it.

Patricia Jenkins: Hello I don’t think people are tired of the natural hair community. I have been natural at least 6 years. We have a lot of versatility. I can do crochet braids or twist my own hair. Overall hair is more healthier natural.

T Mom: I think the natural hair community is not the same as 5 years ago. Videos use to teach us to embrace and care for our natural hair. The movement served a great purpose - - we have learned how to care for and luv our hair. Today, women on mainstream TV rock their natural hair....either straight or curly. The community has evolved, yet served a significant purpose (in my opinion). BTW, I luv your no foundation look!!

montgomery265543: As someone new to the game, I’ve notice certain obsessions. I don’t think it’s dying. I think most folks are looking into products and what may work for someone of the same hair types and such

Breanna J: Girllllll I can watch a new CurlieCrys natural hair video every single day! Lol you and Kimberly Cherrell helped me love and understand my natural hair. I do think influencers may be tired of the criticism but me personally, I never get tired of watching. Can’t wait to see you do those boho braids! ♥️♥️

Queen Tahlia: I'm not fed up with the natural hair community, I'm fed up with the maintenance of natural hair. I LOVE my natural hair but it can be alot and time consuming. The older I get, the more I just do what makes me happy

Vibing With Kia TV: I think the natural hair community makes others feel like they’re stepping on eggshells and I partly blame the no oils and no butters movement. While it’s helpful, it came with a lot of rules that people felt they had to follow. Even before that, just the attitudes have changed from supportive to everyone becoming a guru or smh when people don’t do things like they do. I don’t blame you with your braids bc I’m on the fence of locs or getting a weave for a break.

Jae's Cleaning: Heyy girl! You have the most flawless skin and to answer your question about the natural hair community, I don't think it'll ever die down. I honestly feel like the relaxer users aren't as dependent on the product as much as they use to be. Now do I feel the topic of "Natural hair" is not as deep as it was maybe about 5 year's ago, so no. We live in a "Do You" world, so trend's and "Communities" do die out after ppl become more accustomed to doing what's best for them.. I do feel you though.

hey: I quickly realized while being natural, that my hair actually flourished the most in protective styling. That’s why I like it. The time when I kept my hair and some sort of cornrows or kept doing a lot of wigs, my hair was flourishing underneath because I would moisturize it and then help it grow. Besides, I still do want waist length hair, but I just want my hair to be waist length unstretched, it’s a different kind of goal to achieve because most people want it to be waist length stretched, but I have a different kind of goal. And I want my hair to be super Duper defined with moisture training. I’m excited for this because ultra defined 4C hair is some thing I’d rarely see on anyone a daily basis. It will be cool to be the only one with this kind of curl pattern. And I think people should embrace it more.

Jordan Hill: I went natural during the pandemic so I don’t really know how the natural hair community was back then to even try to compare it to now. I think because I’m so new and still trying to figure out how to take care of my hair I haven’t had time to pay attention to the negative stuff.

wanda mosley: I’m sick of my natural hair. It is so much work. I got it pressed and everybody went wild about the length thinking it was extensions. Well it wasn’t , but it’s about to be.

Kay Cee H: I dont think something that is natural can just die out, the trend maybe. I think because all the natural girlies are rebranding to “black girl luxury” they are wearing their hair straight because the aesthetic doesnt appeal to natural hair. I wish people would be honest instead of hiding behind “toxic natural hair community”. While i do believe it exist, its not new and all the women who built their brand on natural hair never cared before while they needed a platform; now all of a sudden they seen the trends switch to the IG insta baddie trend and they wanna do what suites their pockets. Im not mad at it, I just want people to be honest lol

Desiree Baham: I keep my braids in for 8 to 12 weeks. I love the frizz and seeing my new growth You are one of my favorite influencers.

rachelmiaa: Girl I was done with the natural hair community since the summer of 2021. Like seriously I don’t even want to touch my hair anymore I just want to leave them in braids, let them grow, become healthy, wash them, and repeat. Having to constantly do my hair is just a no for me! And the Natural Hair Community is honestly super toxic. Especially the obsession with hair typing… it’s just a no for me atp. Why don’t we all uplift each other to grow healthy hair?? Why does length need to be necessary you know? Sometimes people need a break! I enjoy the vlogs love!! ❤

Apara: For me I am tired of the natural hair community and content. It's just full of misinformation. And the whole hair chart thing, that just makes me sad because it causes such separation. I LOVE my natural hair ❤️. Coming up to 2 years natural and still loving every second. P.S - I actually loved when you switched your content to lifestyle vlogs!!! I feel like that was a good move because a lot of people are just done with watching hair content. Your vlogs are just awesome and entertaining.

linda v: im an older viewer who loves natural hair content I'm. blessed enough to have what appears to be pretty healthy curly hair. im always ready for tips---even if repetitive ---from gurlies like you

Margarete Marshall: I’m natural I’ve been natural for 11 years and I love my curls always have for Me i can see them starting to form I don’t think about the natural community as being this disrespectful and I’m sure they are .I’m sure a lot of people are and I think it’s just the people who doesn’t love their hair. They are negative people out there about the natural community i think they don’t know to do there hair or don’t understand there hair..I think the natural community is very much alive and still growing . yeah I love yourself

Chelle: I feel like people are annoyed with the amount of time and emotions that come with maintaining natural hair. Getting a protect style reminds you of how good it feels to be free from it all. Also, it is repetitive like you said. How many videos about new products, twist outs, and wash n gos are necessary. I’m glad we all got to experience that time with each other, but people are doing what makes them happy now.

Valeria Patten Thompson: Senior with natural grey hair and I love your videos! I feel you on the toxicity in the natural hair community. It’s mind boggling! I love your hair and makeup tips, your honesty and just feel like we’re having a conversation!! Great work♥️

Glenda Johnson: One more thing Crys, you helped me define what works best for ME and MY hair, which is a flawless twist out. You showed me how to make it last for up to 10 days. This changed my life, so thanks, and blessings!

Neosoul_prima: I feel that I can never be tired of my hair! It’s something that I’ve worked for, and wash day is literally a 2 hour therapy session for me! However, summer does aggravate me! My scalp gets very oily, and I sweat a lot, so I don’t like washing my hair more often, but it’ll all be over soon lol! I have dwindled away from posting/commenting because there’s not much of a market for men, and the new push for just sticking with a professional, wash n gos, and more has a lot of people unlearning a lot of things that have been ineffective to our hair! Hair was easy to focus on, when we didn’t have anywhere to go, but now that we do… people just wanna be out!

Vetta Manning: All my favorite NHCI's are all feeling the same way. Totally understand that you ladies have evolved and feel like "been there done that". Your channel is your art form so I feel like you should do what moves you. Toxicity is everywhere. Life style toxicity is starting to creep in already. Some people feel you guys just show off what you got and it's just about click bait and being flown out and designer this and that. Moving towards being even more materialistic and classiest within the community. Feeling like our worth comes from the labels we wear or the products we use instead of the character we posses and exhibit. Another way to be devisive and judgemental in our own community. So just do you and continue to inspire those that connect with you and your content. Whether it be life style or natural hair you have a following that feels you speak to them, so keep up the good work Sis. IF and when you do hair content again I think quick reviews about things you like to use or styling ideas and up keep videos like you are doing for your braids would be sufficient. You don't need to be in the shower or showing us how to twist Sis!!! You put in your time! Love you CC and I am proud of you. Your make up was Bussin too!

Suga Plum: I’ve been natural all my life except having my hair burned and straightened in grade school through high school. Since I went natural I find that doing my hair is very therapeutic for me and a relaxing. I know it sounds corny or stupid but, I like looking at the progress it made from a few months ago until now. Thanks for the video and the other ones you continue to make. They’re very insightful.

Jazmine Thomas: I wouldn't say the natural hair community is dying out per se, but it definitely has evolved . I noticed that there is a lot more embracing of one's texture as is in certain ways (not always using edge control to slick them baby hairs, not always feeling the need to stretch out the curls and embracing shrinkage and even frizz, being realistic thet maybe natural hair maintenance is simply not in the cards for you). Wild that you put this video up cause I actually posted yesterday about the lessons I've learned over the 10 years I've been living this natural hair life but one thing I harped on was to have fun with your hair and to keep it healthy!!

Adeshia Sims: As a small natural hair YouTuber, I haven’t experienced much of the toxicity from the natural hair community. I do agree that people do have A LOT of opinions on how someone else’s natural hair should be or what’s your hair type, porosity, etc. It can be very frustrating when someone insists on telling you what to do with your own hair. I just try to remember to stay true to myself, spread positivity, and do what works for my own hair. I love your natural hair videos btw! I agree the natural hair community is not the same, because some ppl believe they have to strictly listen to what someone else tells them. & creating content is definitely repetitive for the natural hair community, but I think viewers who just simply enjoy you, will still watch! I also think it’s just as important to create other content. You’re not a robot, you’re human and your life isn’t all about your natural hair

SunflowerintheCT: I usually leave my hair in braids for at most 2 months. Mostly for 1 month because I start to miss doing my hair but I hold out for a month cause I don't want to waste the style. Also I feel like the natural hair community is dying out because a lot of people are realizing that all they need to do is find out what works for them and care lees about everyone else's routine or opinion. Personally I'm not tired of either but as soon as summer comes around I do throw my hair into a protective style.

Twin Mom: I love and miss your natural hair content. So, I'll still look for natural hair content wherever I can find it. No. I wouldn't jump to bash the whole community. Otherwise, aren't we doing exactly what we're accusing them of by creating division and negativity? I've seen a lot of You Tubers lately saying they're moving away from natural hair content and they're tired of natural hair. Now, they're into lifestyle and fragrances, etc. If anything, You Tube seems to be a bandwagon community. Whatever is trending that's what you see everybody doing, including themes, intros, backgrounds, lighting, content, subscriber travel/trips, etc. But, just like natural hair content the latest trend will fade eventually like all other trends. For me, natural hair and self-care aren't trends. It's my lifestyle. I have been natural since 2011 and I will never, ever go back. I've stuck with it even though I struggled a lot for the first few years. I had no idea how to care for and style my natural hair and kept getting silk presses and wearing it in buns and ponytails. It was the You Tube natural hair community that set me straight. So, I owe a lot them. I appreciate them taking the time and money I didn't have to try and demonstrate different products. I learned so much by watching tutorials and hearing about porosity and the types of products that work best for my hair type. YES, we have hair types! I wish people would stop making that a negative thing. It's not. It's a fact and reality that we have to accept to be able to properly care for our own hair. All products don't work for all hair types...and that's on PERIOD.. I think it's a cop out to just throw the whole natural hair community away because some people have grown tired of their natural hair or they can no longer get the clicks and likes they once got. Taking care of my natural hair is a blessing and a major aspect of my self-care. I always feel so good and accomplished when I've finished my routine and my hair is fresh, clean and moisturized. I care about my natural hair as much as I care about my skin, nails and how I treat my body inside and out. Thankfully, there are still some very positive and committed naturalistas to follow and who won't give up just because they can't get brand deals and sponsorships. I will continue to follow and support them. You can find toxicity anywhere and in any community. But if you seek out positivity you'll find that, too!

Pamela Washington: Thank you for this great content! I went natural by mistake in 2010 while on deployment, and I relaxed my long hair last March (2022) only to big chop my hair last month. I was like, why not, it’s just hair! So I’m enjoying my TWA and so are my “hot flashes” in this Louisiana disrespectful heat. I was ready for the kickback remarks however to my surprise I actually receive daily compliments on the length & color. Also, thanks so much for the minimalist makeup tutorial; I love it!❤️

Curls Academy: Loved this topic! I started a YouTube channel about my curly hair and I haven’t posted in almost a year because of how exhausting it felt to constantly need to come up with a new video. Curly hair videos on things that at this point and time most of the girlies know about it’s just become who has new products and what ingredients are in it. I literally big chopped and have kept my hair short I have never felt more happy.I’m here for all the lifestyle vlogs and skincare

Andria Galloway: Great video! I agree that the natural hair community is becoming overbearing. I frankly am becoming tired of the community and doing my hair. I may get locs and call it all a day! I agree with you that influencers are going to have to bring a variety of content to their channel to survive.I like your blend of lifestyle VLOGs mixed with haircare, skincare, and overall health. I also really enjoy your cooking content. Thanks for sharing

Chelsea Antoine: I live in the Caribbean and I literally just put my hair in protective styles (no braids) but I also just get tired of combing my hair sometimes. I still appreciate videos on how to do different hairstyles etc don’t necessarily care for length or hair type etc but just have fun with it. We focus so much on what “healthy hair” is like or “hair type” etc I think that’s what made it tiring or burnt out.. there was no fun in it and natural hair just became this chore we’re trying to “perfect”. Here for all the new content you bring and I won’t be mad at all for hair content every once in awhile for example, like doing something fun with it whether it’s a styling video or like how the boho braids on natural hair is trending.

T J: Considering that I am only 15 months into my natural hair journey, I’ve been watching all of your old videos on the how to. Because I am still learning. The blogs are nice, and you live in a humid area just like I do so the info that you give is really good

Ginger Snaps: I love my nature hair. I don't understand or participate in the "natural hair" community. So, it's not a factor, but hair is here to stay!

hey: I love the natural hair community. I’ve been trying to be natural since a very young age because I didn’t like relaxers and because I just wanted freedom with my hair and to let it be. Then I went back to relaxers because I saw a celebrity wear a sleek hairstyle and I was trying to make my hair like that even though they probably just did a silk press. And I just love being natural in general. I don’t always wear my natural hair out though, I love wearing hair extensions and slaying wigs. However, I’m trying to do moisture training because I really love the curl pattern of 4C hair when it’s moisture trained. It’s like a cute little tiny curl pattern that I just want to see in a long version in my head. I don’t know, I used to see people in my high school wear their curly hair some days and it was so big like an Afro that it inspired me to keep up with my natural hair even more. Although most of the time my hair is in protective styling with wigs, I do love seeing my cornrows and my natural hair and the shine it has and everything. Our hair is really shiny because of the texture it has, and that’s why when people relaxed hair, you see so much shine. I plan on keeping my hair natural and wearing cornrows as a protective style as well as wigs. All of the damage that I do with heat can be on the wig, but not on my real hair. I want my real hair to be healthy and flourishing and I wear it on special occasions occasional once or twice a year silk presses but the rest of the time in my cute little curls. I even like to wear it undefined sometimes because our hair is beautiful and when it’s soft we can enjoy it more.

JB Daughtry: I don't believe the idea of natural hair is dying. I think it has become the norm so people aren't as starved for natural hair content. I personally wear my natural hair year around because I've learned that protective styles have done more harm than good for my scalp. I also believe that there has been a shift in a good way with people embracing what naturally grows out of their scalp. I think some of the negativity may come from seeing black women come so far with embracing what is naturally us just to see people go back to those same habits. With any movement you will notice it moves from one extreme to the other before settling. Black women will hopefully become less critical of each other, and embrace the choices that we make as individuals without feeling attacked as a community.

Asia: I am more of a do what makes me happy kind of person. I have been natural for a while and I have grown to love my natural hair so much. I am in a protective style phase at the moment because I am wanting to retain length. Honestly I don't really worry or have ever worried about the natural hair community. I enjoy watching hair content but I also enjoy vlogs, lifestyle content and health content. I am happy you have found more of your thing and you are doing what makes you happy. I am here to support you sis. I am not sure if you are done completely with your weight gain journey but could you do an update on your weight or an q&a?

F Ducking: Tips on refreshing your protective style 1. Mousse and wrap it up overnight 2. I know it's hot, but maybe start using grease to keep your scalp moisturized longer (something that controls flaking/dandruff) 3. Using oils for the length of the braids (keep them looking shiny and smooth) 4. Doing more up-do styles so the fly-aways aren't as visible (be more versatile instead of just keeping them down all the time) 5. Protective style refresher sprays Hope these tips help sissy. Love you

V Odom: I am worn out with my natural hair. It is sooo time consuming. A lot of the time, I find myself wearing a silk lined cap. Because, either my hair didn't turn out well, or I got tired and didn't finish doing my hair. ie. detangling, shampoo, deep condition, detangle again. Twist, dry, take down, style. OMG, HELP! Some time I say the hell with it. I'm leaving these twist in and putting on a cap. As far as the natural hair community. There is so many rules, so many contradictions, toxicity and yes prejudice and hair envy. I personally am tired of it all. I'm thinking about getting some wigs. With my hair, I never know how I'm going to look. It's sad.‍♀️

Jazmine Thomas: Side note, I do about 4 to 6 weeks with my protective styles ( I actually do passion twists cause braids put more stress on my edges)

Destined2bGreat: I'm over the rules and regulations. I still love natural hair and will always be natural.

Gloria Jordan: I currently have medium sized knotless braids. I've had them in about 3 weeks. I'm hoping to keep them in 1month in a half, stretching 2 months. I've been to Zanzibar and back with this style. No wash day for my protective style.

MNIgirl: I agree the curly hair community natural hair community has definitely changed and I can see both sides definitely because of society and also because of people just not wanting to do their hair or tired of doing their hair. So I get it your make up is a one it's always been a one but it's so elevated lately

Tiahna Rodriguez: I wouldn’t say the natural hair community is dying per se, more like the original natural hair community is losing momentum and evolving as people realize that they don’t have to follow a strict perfect template to be natural. I will say that there has been an increase in people who realize that being natural isn’t for them going back to straightening, weave, relaxer, etc, so the trend of being 100% natural or even natural at all is dying out, but not necessarily the natural hair community because again from what I’ve seen it looks like people who are actually in the community are pushing to reform the community, and make it more accepting and less toxic than what it previously was. However, even though I myself love being natural, I’ve seen the community from it’s early days, and unfortunately, the damage has already been done. The community has become so toxic that unless it gets a major reform, I do not claim being apart of it at all.

Main girl 112: The only thing that is “dying out” is the restrictive set of rules that the natural hair community has made over the years. People are now learning how to love and care for their hair without following rules. This is why I always emphasize do what works for YOU. Listen to your hair! Just because someone says for example “you have low porosity hair stay away from heavy products” there can be many low porosity naturals that actually NEED heavier products because their strands are coarse and need something heavier. Again, do what works for you. People will always have their opinion whether negative or positive, but you shouldn’t let that affect the way you feel about and care for your hair. Do what makes YOU happy with your hair regardless of what people are saying or will say - it’s not about pleasing others or making others feel confortable it’s about what makes YOU happy. What makes YOU comfortable.

Casey Mae: I don't think the natural hair community is dying down, I think its just in a transition period. In a few months or maybe even a year, I see the community transforming into something more inclusive (we all know how divided the community has been for awhile). I've noticed more people are switching out their kinks and curls for locs, so I also believe that has something to do with why the community feels "dry". But then again, I have also noticed more people going back to relaxers after years of being natural, so honestly I could see both sides.

L. Lewis: Natural hair videos are my therapy. When I’m having a bad day or am stressed at work, that’s what I like to do to ease my stress. I do feel like things have died down but that might be simply because the influencers that I started out watching don’t make videos anymore. As to the question “Are you tired of your hair?” I’m somewhat frustrated with mine because it has changed since I hit a certain age and my hormones have shifted. (And some crazy person wanted to argue with me on FB that your hair texture/pattern can’t change) But, yeah… frustrated but not necessarily ready to relax or loc. As far as the community… I do wish it was like when I started in 2012, but…I still love watching.

Statement of the week: I don't normally comment on videos but your skin is gorgeous and i just wanted to tell you that

psr076: I personnaly don’t think the natural hair community is dying but for it has gotten toxic (hair typing, the hair rules, natural hair nazis etc..) I'm not tired of my hair because now I know how to take care of it. I'm OK with natural influencers diversefying their content. You évolue and you're not your hair.

T Bev: Thank you for all your posts I’ve been following you for a while now. I just cut my hair all they way off, giving away products. I’m embracing my salt and pepper now. Jus feel free and doing what I want starting over!!! I won’t be buying tons of any more hair products, I’ve found the ones I like and work for me. I do have to say it’s been an enjoyable natural hair journey but I’m off this train…

Doctormycurls: Heyyy sis!! This message was for meee about creating content outside of natural hair as well. So true!!! I’ve been doing natural hair and something outside of that. Love that for me! Girl I DIED when you said keep the braids the amount of money you paid in days

MinimumTiara: I'm glad that you do stuff to your hair that you want and not for the community. I will never cut my hair or color my hair for views. I do what I want to my hair when I want lol

livingdollgyaru: The natural hair community was fun with all the experimentation of hairstyles and products and it felt like we were all kinda doing the same thing. Being natural for 10 years I feel as though I am missing out on doing fun things for the sake of keeping long hair(which is my preference). We are taught that basically anything is going to break all your hair off no matter what and that box is very limiting. I’ve bleached my hair almost white and it didn’t hurt me

Angela Lee: I see the problem is natural hair (curly or straight) vs non-natural (relaxer) to grow waist length hair instead of HEALTHY HAIR. I’m Natural (no relaxer) but I put in color to cover my grey. I wear my hair however I feel like, twist out, straight, silk press, protective style (mostly ponytail or bun), headband wigs, and braids (only 3 times I can’t leave them in over 3wks). My hair is healthy, below my bra strap. To be fair my hair is “3, A-C”. medium porosity and I have been taking care of my hair at home since I was 12yrs old when I got my relaxer(57 now). I’ve been natural 12yrs now. There is a difference with the products you use on relaxed hair vs natural hair. People will always need to know how to have HEALTHY HAIR, no matter natural or relaxed.

Joann Thomas: The make up looks good on you that way and you're right it's not heavy and to shiney when it's done that way, nice summer look.

Tt A: Glad you’re leaving the natural hair community. I wished they focused more on styling rather than curl pattern. I don’t care to drench my type 4 hair in gel in hopes it will comes out at 3b causing a fire hazard. I just wanted to learn how to style my hair. Which I didn’t end up learning. I got more advice bin taking care of my hair from regular vlogs

Dana Benson: I always keep my braids in from 2 to 3 months. I love getting them in but can't stand taking them out. That's the process that frustrates me. As far as a silk press, I can't do those but once or twice a year. Once my hair sweats, there goes my straight hair. I love being natural but it is a lot of work. I am not mad at people who still use chemicals. I just know I can't go back to them.

Mica Murry: Definitely enjoying your transitioning period! I’m excited to see where you end up! We may wind up seeing you modeling in an Dillard’s online clothing catalog or something, who knows ‍♀️

F Ducking: I agree with EVERY single thing you stated about the climate in the natural hair community sis 1. The toxicity when it comes to our hair (comparisons, work place, racism) 2. Weather (even in the fall/winter, I personally don't feel like hair content will be of interest) 3. It's getting boring (to me) and now I'm more invested in the lifestyle/vlogging content (we've seen pretty much every natural hairstyle you can do, repetitiveness with hair maintenance (technique/routine)) 4. Hair brands aren't paying creators what they're worth (equality/equity) 5. Honestly, I'm just tired of the maintenance when it comes to my natural hair. However, I'm in LOVE with my actual natural hair I love how you set up your content. You make it versatile where it's not all hair (like it used to be) content or it being all lifestyle content. You give us a little bit of everything here and there, which keeps me intrigued and wanting to come back for more lol You're my fav !! You're literally my twin (in my head)

Darius Paris: Okay! Yes! But also, if your part of any online community there is toxicity! I think it always happens *unfortunately*. The content creators just have to do things that makes them happy! If they are producing content that they are passionate about the fans will come! As for myself, I go through seasons of natural hair care marathons! I still enjoy the content! Great channel Crystaaaaaal ✨

Watt DeFuque: For me, I had to disconnect from the community a little bit because I just got sick of feeling like I had to worry so much about all these brands and ingredients and what I'm "supposed to be using". I just went back to my ride-or-die Aussie Moist products after trying so hard to make stuff from the more "premium" brands work for me. I spent so much money only to be left feeling confused and dry af I can't be out here spending $30 for 8oz leave-ins and shampoos in this economy lol

Emily Sanchez: Been watching you since I was 15 im 17 now love everything n glowin true inspiration #Queen! Much luv n blessings

Brittany Burton: Personally I’m not tired of the natural hair community because honestly I’ve only been into it for the past couple of years. I can see how it would be different if you’ve been doing or seeing this content for 5+ years. I find it very relaxing, especially when I’m doing my own hair. I started watching you when you were doing the “hairstyle wheel” and although we look nothing alike it and don’t have the same hair texture, it was just a vibe for me. I watch today because…. giiiiirl you have just “glowed up” in every way and I am truthfully excited to watch you progress!

Kevina R.: I still watch your old hair videos for pointers and tips. I do feel like the “hype” is dying down. However, hair and beauty honestly will never die out. Also, if you come up with a new hairstyle or product please share

Cherie Cooley: I have noticed less uploads from my favorite creators but I figure we all have so many products that we need to use up. We're all on no buys at this point so I really understand. I feel like some of the negativity coincided with the influencer hate from stylists the last couple of years. But I love influencers because y'all are relatable. I think that is why the vlogs are so interesting too. #Useyourstash might be a good series for creators who want to get back into the natural hair space.

Mink's Kinks: As a much smaller influencer who has a focus in natural hair, I don't think the community is dying. I think this community can be toxic in ways, but I choose to do what I want with my hair, when I want to I understand how people feel that way but I just love my hair and trying new things and sharing my thoughts and opinions. No matter how many different types of videos I create, I will always do natural hair videos. The make up was absolutely GIVING

latasha owens: Your day in the life videos are my favorite but I love the natural hair content here and there too.

Kellz Willz: I was natural years ago. After 2 years, I put a relaxer in my hair and had to cut that all off/out again. I think there just ain’t no more products to try, wash n go techniques are all on YouTube, all the gimmicks, like what else is there to say….. which is so good I watch you for other content like Amazon finds lol

TheKyannaAlexandra: Ahhhh. I totally get this. I’m a small YouTuber and I started out with LGBTQ+ content for about 4 years and now I’m feeling super repetitive and trying to now incorporate vlogs and curvy fashion and of course it just feels like I’m starting ALL over again, because it’s now what my subscribers are used to, BUT I know I gotta do what’s best for me

Jasmine Sorensen: For me it’s not dying. For me it’s just beginning. I understand what people are saying in the comments about the obsession becoming toxic. But for me it’s liberating. Yes I get sick of doing my hair especially with this humidity it’s been going up a lot more. However I did my big chop over a year and a half ago and since then I’ve been heat and chemical free. I may go back to using heat once I get to a certain length. But growing up as a bi racial black woman this journey is very important for me to go through. Like I said, it’s not like I’ll ever use heat or color again. But the health of my hair is important to me now and learning how to take care of my hair was absolutely necessary for not only me but for the black children I will have one day.

wndrss99: I have to disagree I think we are more comfortable and it’s not much to talk about. Doing this since 2011. I dye my natural hair don’t worry what people think. But as we normalize wearing our beautiful hair naturally we will move on to other topics/discussion; don’t feel the community is toxic yes we have a few bad seeds. Natural for life. I think the make-up community is dying out. How many ways can you contour your face? Natural hair, lipstick and out the door (this mask changed everything). I stopover purchasing makeup as much➰❗️

Ivy Merritt: I'm one of those who REALLY enjoy your lifestyle content even though I started watching you because of your hair content. I mean, how many different ways can you do a twist out? You have to change it up once in a while!

SearchForCherise: I love the concealer & powder for summer I also love concealer, then the danessa myricks blurring balm in shade 9, then powder when I want a more “beat” look!

Tea Watkins: I been following you for years and have loved your natural hair content because that’s what I was looking for. When you moved to lifestyle I still love it and think it can be more entertaining and informational with other topics than just hair but please don’t completely leave! Just do lil pop ups with hair updates/videos cause I need it but I love what you do regardless. Definitely do what makes you happy cause yes it can be toxic

Albert Rainbow: I’m two wash days away from just cutting it off and just experimenting with colors lol. But it’s just getting to be too much imo. Our hair requires so much TLC and after 5 years of growing it I’m just exhausted. With my work I can’t even wear it how I want so yeah I’m almost to the big chop but then again my hair is so long and so I really wanna lose it idk

Maria: I personally leave my braids in 4-6 weeks now that I have figured out how to clean my scalp so that it doesn’t itch. I am aiming for 8 weeks this go round but we shall see lol

Yetunde Adeolu: I found a tip for removing knots at your roots. They said to mix up warm water and oil and spray them on your roots after taking down the braids, after some time you should be able to break it up with a comb. Haven’t tried this yet but I felt I could share anyway.

CC§Gemini: After being on lock down for two years people need a CHANGE. Do women still love their natural hair YES but right now “no one care about others opinion this is my hair, my head and I am going to do what I want with my hair”‍♀️‍♀️. Lifestyle content became very popular during Lock down because YT is Free thus far.

Creative Me: I don't think it is dying out. Our hair is so versatile. I think the problem is everyone jump on the bandwagon with the twist out and wash n go. Everyone was doing it. Same as makeup tutorials. My point is there is so much more you can do. It's not for everyone but that is beauty in our hair we can it all.

JkawaiiNeko: Coming from strictly a viewer's perspective, I miss the natural hair content. Not just from you, but it seems like almost ALL of the people that I originally followed for natural hair content aren't making that content anymore. I like reviews on products, different ways to style natural hair, etc, I could watch it all day. I get that making those types of videos become repetitive for the influencer though. I just would like some more of the content that I originally followed for would be continued to be made. Especially because everyone seems to be switching to vlogs, I'm not really a vlog person.

Shelby McDanDan: I don’t understand why people say the natural hair community is dying or that they are leaving the natural hair community. This may be the case for those who have been in the game 5+ years. But you have newbies like me who still need and value this type of content. It’s because of you and others that have really taught me how to care for my hair and style my hair. So maybe it’s dying for the veterans, but it is still very relevant for people like me. Furthermore, maybe we should stop saying it because it looks negative and doesn’t help to keep it alive. You made some very important points- I guess I’m just tired of hearing influencers say this- not good for us that’s out here still trying to learn and love our hair ‍♀️‍♀️‍♀️ Either way, if you leave, I still value all the things Ive learned from you these past few months.

Gereline Vlogs: I try to keep my protective styl for 2 months. But... My hair grows so fast, it can't last longer than 1,5 month. They will be very loose on my head. Natural hair content for me is not dying out, I still love watching them, but I understand where it comes from. I love your content ❤️

Rhyan True: thanks for the tips for upcoming hair creators! taking heed for sure

chloe: i’m tired of my hair, i don’t keep up with the community so i can’t judge! ‍♀️

Angela Harris: I have been natural for almost a year!!! No regrets!!! There are so many protective styles that you really don't need to put CANCER causing chemicals such as a relaxer in your hair. The content may get old however, I will NEVER go back to a relaxer. BTW I am not a youtuber!!!

Natonya Williamson: I feel you sis about pleasing yourself

Kamren Davis: I think the natural hair community is calming down but I wouldn't say it's dying out. The community is hella saturated already but once a few trends pop up it'll still be somewhat relevant again. I've had my butterfly locs in for a little over a month and can prob keep them in much longer (lovin the distress look) but I want to give my hair a break before jumping into a new style.

Heyyybray: I liked the natural community for making me feel comfortable with being natural in HS. However I saw a lot of toxicity in it. Also, I saw a lot of “naturals” who were just biracials with loose curls looking to make a dollar off the movement. After that, I kinda strayed tbh. But I still watch the Glamtwinz and others like them.

Ariel Haynes: As it relates to refreshing your braids, I plan on trying Shanique Buntyn's process which seems simple enough. I currently have in braids for a month but I try not to go over 2 months. I'm actually trying to find a moisture routine to bring the ends of my hair back to being moisturized cause they dry dry . So twist outs, flat twists, mini twists and wigs, loading...

Tyra Perez: I don't know about the natural hair community but I personally only watched videos that were related to what I wanted more info on when it came to my natural hair. If anything was mentioned that I didn't care about like my curl type or length I would completely disregard it and stay focused on what I searched for. I learned quite a bit by watching what I needed to watch and ignoring what I needed to ignore. I don't buy super expensive hair products to take care of my hair regardless of how much people try to convince me to. My hair doesn't need that. I've also had my hair relaxed and it was still a lot to deal with. I know now that I love my hair natural rather than relaxed. You just have to do what makes you happy with your hair. Focus on the goals you're trying to reach with it and disregard anything that is mentioned that that has nothing to do with those goals. It's YOUR hair natural or not.

Vibing With Kia TV: I never knew Tangle Teezer had a wide tooth comb. Your curls were definitely bouncing

Annette Norwood: I do feel as though the natural hair community is kinda fo dying out,not because of people being tired of natural hair but it's as you stated it;s just getting so toxic it's not as fun to watch, but I personally, want to thank you for all of the information regarding the care and maintenanceof natural hair it's really helped me a lot, now as far as new content,I'm really enjoying your everyday blog,it's fun it's different everyday and you keep it real.

Chirise K.: I would say that it’s the natural hair community that people are tired of. People’s opinions can ruin anything!!!! I get bored with my hair because sometimes her and I just aren’t on the same page, so I can understand how any influencer could get burnt out with doing natural hair many different ways. It can get stale, but so can lifestyle content can get stale as well. To me, it’s all about balance and taking a break to keep things fresh.

Lakeema Earth: People don’t know the texture of their hair or don’t know what products to use for their hair so some get tired of getting long hair and then it breaks off, others have alopecia and don’t know how to get their hair back to the length it used to be

Natonya Williamson: Yes sis I enjoy all of your content.

Patrece M.: I feel like the natural community will always be around because we will always have natural hair so there will always be natural products. I feel certain YouTubers are mad with the natural community because their not making the money they thought they would be, so they go back to relaxers or try to be beauty influencers, etc.

KataraPatriece: I feel like natural hair community is dying out because of how many videos and YouTubers out there posting natural hair videos. At this point everyone knows how to do a wash & go and a twist out and if not they can find a video to watch on YouTube. Everything has become repetitive in a way so there’s nothing “new” to look forward to in my opinion. Now don’t get me wrong, we love to see your natural hair videos so keep them coming because I also like to see your hair’s growth and progress as well as new products you may come across.

Deneace Williams: Loved this video! Would love to see more chats + makeup from you!!
