Heatless Overnight Waves | Curls Without Heat Short & Medium Hair (Updated)

I wanted to update my overnight heatless waves video from last year for a very long time since I've been changing how I do my curls without heat for my short/medium hair.

I tried out a lot of different things on how to do the heatless overnight waves and also how to make them look better and last longer – so I really do think I have the best method to do overnight curls without heat!

Please let me know if you decide to make these heatless waves yourself – I love to hear back from you guys!

Oh hi there, oh, i didn't see you so you want to know how i make these heatless curls in my hair. Well, let me just tell you that was like the worst intro i've ever made. So i hope you enjoyed this video. What'S up you guys so last year i made this video on how i create these heatless curls in my hair, because i know i have absolutely no curls whatsoever. No movement, no life in my hair is literally straight thin and lifeless the three things you don't want to hear about hair. So that's why i devoted like my whole life to trying to change that, so i thought i wanted to do this updated version where i run you through everything like. I tried out, of course, how i made the curls in the first place. That'S a great place to start, but also like how you can make them last longer and look better, so, let's just dive right into it. So, first off, let me just show you how i actually make these heatless curls, because you know i kind of feel, like that's the most important step and in my last video a lot of people said they really appreciate the two camera angles. So hello. Other camera angle, so what i'll do is i'll take a hair tie and then i will just divide my hair into two down the middle and then tie one of the sides off, because we're not gon na work on this right now and we don't want to Be confused really, i will take a section the front just by like sliding my finger under and then i will divide that section into two and then i will take this back section and like twist it under the front section. So they like switch place, and from here i will take a bit of hair and with my thumb under here and like put it into my palm. So i have a bigger section and i will do the same thing in the back and just so. We don't get confused. I will like slide my finger under here to get all the hair. We don't want from this section down here and then i will just twist it around like so so we will add some hair in the front and add some hair in the back. I hope you can see it and then take it here, pull it away all this hair and then turn around, and you really don't want this to be perfect. You really just want to make it quick and easy, so you just go around all the way down. Then what you will do when you come here and there's no more! Oh there's a bit of hair, pretend you didn't see that and there's no more hair. What you will do, you'll just continue to twist them around. Just no adding anymore like so again really doesn't have to be like that neat or anything. You can really just loosen it up. If you want a bit more like looser curl or something like that, and then i will usually take that hair tie out, put it over here to keep this in place and do the same thing on the other side like so and when you have both of Them you will take your hair and like twist it around your head like so and now comes the bobby pins, so you will take a bobby pin and i really don't know if you can see this, but you will kind of cross it over. So you will put it from one side and from the other side, so basically you will make a cross like this way and then this way and then the hair is like in the middle here really good explanation. I know. Thank you so much one question. I'Ve been asked, the most is, can you do this with wet hair and even though i stated back then that you shouldn't do a wet hair just because it will literally never dry? I kind of changed my mind. I know what but just hear me out. Okay, so i tried it out for a bit and i will say, like the moist does something to the curls or the waves or whatever you want to call it. I feel like it makes it more defined and just holds longer, and it looks better. So what i'll do is i'll start out with like dry hair, just because i still don't think it's a good idea to jump straight out of the shower and put them up in these like braids or twist, just because personally, my hair will never dry. I could literally leave it in for as long as this carotene lockdown thing will last and it will still be wet. I will just put some water on my hand and then just squeeze it in get it a bit, moist not really wet and then i'll just proceed as normally. So i just twist it around like. I just showed you and then just put them up. So i can sleep with them and then, when you take them out, you will have these very beautiful defined curls that look a lot better than if you didn't put the water in. So a lot of people have been asking me how you make like the curls. More loose or more tight, so let me just try to show you that so making them more loose or tight doesn't really mean like how loose or tight you braid or like twist the hair around it's more a matter of like how many times you actually twist It around itself so for more tight one. We want to take smaller sections, so we take this front bit again and then we will take just a tiny like a small section about this much and we will just do that the whole way down. So we get a lot more twist in here, and that is really just what's gon na make the curl appear more tighter, not like that. You tie it like really tight, but more like that. You take smaller sections, so you do that all the way down and as you can see, the curl is a lot tighter when you take it down, and it really has this very firm and like not so beachy. Look to it and i really like the look of it, especially on short hair and as for the loose curl, you really just do the opposite, so you kind of just try to twist it as few times as possible. So again, you will section off the front bit and then just divide that into two and this time we'll just take a bigger section of the hair. Like kind of like this much it doesn't really have to be perfect. I'M just more like feeling how much i have in my hand, and then i will just do that all the way down, and i kind of like to count like how many braids i have like twists. I make um just to make sure like. I have somewhat the same amount of both sides and i think this will be like the fifth one and then again we don't want to like make it really tight like this. We kind of just want to make it loose and just like, let our hands like slide down the hair and make it like very loose in the bottom like this, and, as you can see, this one is a lot more loose when we take it down, and I really have this very beachy look to it and if we look at them side by side, you can really see the difference on these two like different ways of doing the twist. But we're literally doing the same thing and that's why i really love this hairstyle. Just because it really creates two different looks, and you can really just play around with it and make it look good for your hair. Oh, is it you guys again? Well, i hope you like this video totally didn't do that 10 times already, but i really just hope you liked this video and got some tips and tricks. I really just love this hairstyle myself and i do it almost every night. So i guess i just want you to love it back.
