Trying No Heat Hair Curl Hacks So You Don'T Have To

Hi guys it's audrey and welcome back to odd vlogs welcome back to my echoey bathroom. We know iconic classic. Today we are going to be testing no heat, curling hair hacks, so you guys don't have to. This is what my hair looks right now. My hair is pretty wavy, this isn't natural um and we're gon na be trying five times we're gon na be trying five different, no heat curling hacks today and i thought it'd be fun to do one every single day. That way, we can have like a hair reset and everything and a lot of these methods take the whole day. If i don't want to sleep with them at night, so you'll see me every day for five days. You'Re welcome, i thought being fun for the first. No heat curling, hair hack that we start with the classic the basic braids. So this is what i personally do to get like sorry, curls. It'S waves, this video's gon na be like curls slash waves. Some will be curlier than others, but this is something that i do if i want to curl or wave my hair without using a tool, and my hair is already dry. Yes, i know we're gon na, be i'm just gon na like get it all wet. For this part, because i feel like it'll turn out better if my hair is wet for everything to begin with and then dries on, like whatever it needs to to become curly. So i'm going to wet my hair and be right back and then we are going to braid my hair into two braids and wait until it's dry and see what it looks like all right guys. I literally washed my hair. Actually i just like got water on it. I soaked my hair in the kitchen sink and now i think it's it's time to braid. So, let's, oh, my hair is so tingly. What i usually do is, i part my hair down the middle, as you can see right now and then how i part my hair the rest. The way is, i take a bobby pin and i take like a little loopy side and i go down my hairline to the back of my head. It doesn't really work that well um. I know a lot of people use like comb and brushes and like other tools, to help them achieve like the perfect line. Look, but i don't have any of those, so this is the best that we can get so far. So usually i try to dutch braid. My hair and i'm not the best at dutch braiding, but i can do it. Finally, on myself, which is a big accomplishment for me, so here we go all right. I finished braiding my hair here it is the back. Actually it doesn't look that bad. So i'm pretty happy about that um, but yeah. This is what i usually do if i want a quick, easy way um for my hair to be styled the next day - and i would usually do this at night time when i'm about to go to bed sleep in my braids. Let them dry and then wake up and take them out um. So that's, basically what we're going to be doing that same method. I will show you, i guess tomorrow morning what it looks like when it's all dried and then what we think and we'll try on the next method, all right guys. It is the next day and my braids are all dry. My hair is completely ready to be taken out. So let's see what it looks like. Oh it's, whoa they're, actually whoa whoa. It'S really curly right now. Okay, all righty, so the pieces in the front like there's like some parts of my head, are like a little like like this, like it looks a little bit crazy, but we've got some good curls going on and i also like to run my hands through it And just like uh blend all together, i guess, and it makes it look better if you like blend it all like that ta-da alrighty, oh so yeah! This is what my hair looks like right now there are lots of waves in my hair. It'S a lot more textured i feel like my hair is uh thicker when it's wavy and it kind of just gives like some nice beach waves. Overall, i like it. I would wear my hair like this for the rest of the day, so the this one is a thumbs up. I'M really sad, though, because now i'm gon na have to reset my hair and get it all wet again for the second experiment. So all right - i guess i'm gon na go - do that. I'M gon na go get my hair all wet again and we'll try the next one, which is a little bit more. It'S just gon na get crazier guys. Okay, i wet my hair we're in a new location because i thought it'd be fun to spice things up for a bit. The next heatless style hack is with socks and i've seen everyone do these with long fuzzy socks. So i try to find some, and apparently you just braid them into your hair, like as a third braid, you section your off into like four ish sections or however many you want. So, as you can tell, i wet my hair and we're gon na. Take it out and brush it. Let'S take one of these bad boys. My hair is definitely longer than the sock. This is probably gon na, be a problem all right christmas socks coming in clutch. We'Re gon na have to use these snowman ones, because i think this is the longest one for my hair uh, my hair is pretty long, so it's kind of hard to find socks that are the length of all my hair. Oh, this is so weird. Okay, guys, the the socks are all in this one is just so funny because it's longer than the rest, this side is very uniform, very matching, and then this side is just crazy. I decided to go with the shorter one for the front piece because, like my hair up here is shorter than the back, because i have layers so i decided with a different sock and then i went with a longer one with the back. But i didn't need this long. Obviously, so it's just crazy, but all of my hair is in and i'm gon na wait for it to dry and see you guys later today. I'M hoping that this one works out, because this honestly was kind of faster than braiding. My own hair - and i like this - all right guys. It'S been a few hours later. We got some twinkle lights in the background now i think my hair is mostly dry. It'S not like a hundred percent but like some pieces in the back are slightly damp, but everything else is like mostly dry. I don't know how long to leave these in for, but i feel like it should be done by now. So we're going to take them out and see what the results are. I hope this works, because if it doesn't, then i'm going to be very very sad: did it work the spirals? Oh wow, the spirals look at okay i'll have to give you a better view. I'M gon na take out the rest and then let's look in the mirror together guys you're, not gon na believe this. It actually turned out way better than i thought it would like. I'M gon na try to show you the curls. I think my biggest fail was probably this one, but even for a fail like it's still, not that bad, it's mostly wavy, but the other, the other ones, are pretty pretty curly. This is not that bad. I don't think it's the most perfect curls ever and next time. I try this i'm gon na i'm gon na wait longer, but i'm gon na have to give this one a thumbs up all right, we're gon na move on to the next one and see if it's as good as these, i i think this might be my Favorite so far, even more so than the braids like wow, all right, guys, it's a new day and the lighting has changed. I'M trying like different setups, so anyways we are going to be trying the bathrobe curl today. So what you apparently need. I watch a video tutorial on this. What you need is a bathrobe like just the string part of it and then two hair ties and also scrunchies, which i'm going to go get after um but yeah. I watched a video on how to do this and apparently they said you don't need to wet your hair. So i'm not going to wet my hair. I'M just gon na leave it dry because they said it works perfectly um when it's dry, so we'll try this one with dry hair. My hair is currently straight right now, with zero waves. I flat ironed it previously um. So let's do this so you're supposed to just put your hair. However, you like, and then you take your bathrobe and you make sure it's even and you stick it like on the center of your head. This is so hard to do like i'm. Looking off to the side of the viewfinder, and i look ridiculous, i look kind of crazy and you take like a little section of your hair like let's say we'll do this little section and it has to be like tight wraps in order for this to work. So you wrap it over the bathrobe and then under and you're supposed to grab like little sections every time and add to it kind of like a french braid. And then you just do that for both sides and you go all the way down and secure it. With an elastic okay, so, as you can see, i did both sides now they did start come a little bit loose like right here. I think the lady in the video had hers really tight on, but i did this like i've redid this so many times. It'S so hard to keep my hair all tight together, because at the end, like the little elastic part, is so hard to get around like all this extra fabric, especially with my hair um being in layers like it all, doesn't end at the same place. So definitely was more of a challenge and i don't know if it's gon na turn out the best just because it's not that tight around my head, but we're just gon na go with it, because i don't wan na do it anymore, i'm kinda sick of it. Okay, well, this is the before and i'm gon na come back in a couple of hours and take it out and we'll see if we have some waves, some curls from this or not so ready all right. Well, it's been a couple of hours later it's about! Well, it doesn't really matter to you, because i didn't tell you when we started, but it's about 9 p.m at night, and i cannot stand these things any longer. You can already see it's falling out of my hair and let's just take these bad boys out and see how these curls go. If these curls are good, then maybe i'll consider doing this again but, like so far, this has been my least favorite method of them. All all right here we go honestly if you left this in overnight and had your hair wet, i feel like that, would give you the best results, but i literally can't stand this any longer. Let'S see what we have going here: oh okay, okay, um, i'm gon na go, look in the mirror, real, quick! Well, i've come to the consensus that this really has done. Absolutely nothing like. Let me show you. We'Ve got a little bit of curls on the edges. Like it has a little bit of curls on the bottom, so if you like this, look which i think it is a cute look, then i think you should go for it, but personally not worth it for me. So i'm gon na have to give this a thumbs down. Sadly, i don't really want to try to recreate it, though, because, like i just don't like it, i don't like the process of doing it. So, let's just move on to the next one. It'S a new day and i've roped in my husband to help me with this one. Thanks for signing up to help me welcome, we are going to be trying the curly straws method, so i have 200 straws here. I hope this is enough, and basically your hair gets like these really tight kind of like shirley temple-less curls from being around this. So, as you can tell, i like wet wetted moistened, my hair moistened yeah everyone's favorite word. So, let's, let's go ahead and get started with this, so we're gon na. Do it in sections that way we can get all of my hair and learn from the last time. We'Re not doing this dry anymore, no more dry techniques, which kind of it takes forever. When your hair is wet, what the lady said is like, depending on like how tight you want your curls to be is how much hair you like put around the straw. Let'S see, i feel like that, should be fine like just this amount for now. Okay, so you take your hair, you take your straw. You go in the middle of your straw, like this go in the middle and then you're just gon na wrap the hair around the straw, like just twist like little twisty twisties, okay down the straw, okay step. One: okay, oh my gosh, do you only know one word: okay, take the straw fold it in half. I don't even know how this looks then you're gon na take an elastic and you're gon na like just secure the straw. I can do this. Yes, i can do this, do it, i think maybe this is probably so bad. Oh, it's so down there, okay, ready all right! I'M back! My arms are killing me and my hair. It does not feel great in the slightest. This is just like. Let me show you a little bit of what's going on here. This is my side tada. This is spencer's side. My my side is look at this in my eye, so i have to wear this for the rest of the day, i'm so excited, but i am taking out before bed, because ain't no way am i sleeping with this curly mess like this is just monstrosity all Right, everyone, it's been a couple hours later and i am so done with these, because it's in my face it's so hard to like do anything with my head like lay down - or i don't know you can't like. Ah, it's really curly, oh, maybe it wasn't supposed to wrap it so tight. Did you see ew tho, i mean i can't say it doesn't work because it does. But it's on the technique. It'S all on how you do it. Oh my gosh wait. Let'S, just oh, don't scrape your hands through it. I feel like i'm like a elizabeth or something you know like in england, or i don't know what happened like what is like. Let'S just try to my hair, i feel like i got a haircut look, how short it is now it's so short. It goes to my shoulders. It'S kind of fun, not gon na lie, but it looks bad. How is the back? Look, i thought the back is just so bad. It'S really bad. This is what the back looks like. It is really bad wow. I don't think we ever got more results and one hairdo than ever before. Like this, the back is janaz dude. Your side feels so gross, i know i know i messed it up so bad. I know because i can't do hair, so i got them all tangled, like entertaining yeah. There'S like like a rat's nest. Yeah. I just know all the people on youtube are cringing right now, they're, like spencer. No, you might want to soak your hair to try to get rid of this wow. Well major fail. I hope the next one is a good one, because that's our last one so wish us luck, we'll see you tomorrow, all right guys. It is a new day and i'm ready to put in the last hair curlers, and this is what it looks like it came in the package. I think it's called uh water ripple, hair rollers, so this is supposed to make your hair really really wavy, as you can tell, by the shape of these hair roller thingies, this is going to look absolutely crazy. In my hair, you thought the straws looked weird. No! I'M like this is a whole new level, so you also get a super long tool to like put your hair through these little curly things, i'm hoping that it doesn't snag or pull my hair, because that would hurt um. But i also um wetted my hair again and we are ready for this process, so you have to pull it through this contraption. I got the super long ones just because i didn't know how long my hair needed um, but let's try this one more time. Also, i'm doing this during the day again, so i hope it all dries before bedtime, because i really don't think i'd be comfortable wearing this to bed. I finally did it. My hair has the first little curly thing that was harder than you think. Like i watch these videos, i'm like oh, this would be so easy false. It'S never as easy. Also, it's very tight against my head. It kind of hurts not gon na lie, but the show must go on if this is worth it like. Maybe i can get better at the technique if i keep using it, but it all depends on how worth it this is in the end. I did it again. This is gon na. Take me an hour like this is gon na. Take me so long, i'm just i just barely got two on my base hair. Also, i'm gon na have the biggest uh most uncomfortable like wave head ever. I hope this is worth it. So i finished and oh my gosh guys, my like. I have no words like look at this. This is just crazy that my whole head is covered in these. I feel like um, one of those jellyfish dude and like shark tales or whatever and also my head is like really itchy and it hurts, because all my hairs are pulled into these contraptions. Also it's just in my face. Like constantly oh, my gosh, i don't think i'm gon na be able to wear headphones or anything for the whole day, and i'm definitely not sleeping with on these things. Okay! Well, i guess i'll see you in a couple hours with the results of my crazy jellyfish hair, all right guys, it's about three four hours later and my head is done with this. I have like a mini headache because i think it's just so tight against my hair. I am so done with this, so let's take it out and see what it looks like. I think it'll turn out good, but i'm not gon na mud before i jinx myself, but i think it'll be okay, so i think i just pull it out like this. Oh gosh did i do that right? How does this look? This is pretty good. Oh, i am so impressed with this. Okay, i'm gon na finish taking this out, but guys. This is what the finished product looks like i'll give you like a full view of my whole hair um. It looks so good. I am very impressed with these squiggly little thingy is like seriously. My hair feels very soft, very wavy. My head just feels ten times better with having those out. It is a pain to keep them in and pretty much while they're in your hair. You can't do much during the day, like you can't see anyone with these squiggly things in your hair, but the aftermath is really fun and fresh. I do like so with that being said, that is the last product. We are testing for curl hacks, um, no heat style. I think my favorite from this video. This is hard. I think my go-to is always going to be the braids, because, even when your hair is in braids, you can go out and see people in public while, as like the other ones, you really can't you have to like sleep with them in which is not comfy, But with the ones that were not braids, i really like this one because of the results, and i thought the sock one was not that bad. To be honest, my least favorite one though definitely the bathrobe and the straws i feel like the straw technique could be better if, like you, were really good at wrapping your hair, but it's just really hard for me to get the hang of that um.
