Hi guys welcome back to my channel in today's video I'm sharing my wash day routine for my relaxed hair in this video. I am sixteen weeks post, relaxer and my hair has been in a low bun for a couple of days now. So it's time to let my hair down and give it some TLC. Is it just me, but when I go to wash my hair is when it decides to look decent, I'm loving those heatless waves. The first thing I do is check my nails to make sure that there are no tears, and I also proceed to remove my jewelry. These steps help to prevent unnecessary breakage. Bearing what nots come off your girl is getting fat or something cuz. It was a struggle there we go. I'Ve then used my white tooth comb to detangle my hair to make sure that there are no knots or tangles and to remove any in here. This is how much shedding I had stay tuned for my next video to know what I've been doing to control my Shetty. After any time with my hair, I move on to prepay. I coat the length of my hair with warm avocado oil making sure to get all strands. Typically, I like to use coconut oil for this step, but I ran out of it. However, avocado oil is a great alternative, since it's also known to penetrate the hair shaft. For my scalp, I like to use castor oil with a few drops of peppermint oil for that tingling sensation. I massage it very well into my scalp, I usually pre-poo overnight, for maximum benefits, but I did not plan to wash my hair today. So a couple of hours before you wash will also do the trick. When I'm done massaging my scalp, I like to twist my hair up into buns. Then I add some extra oil to my edges and my nape and place a plastic cap over it and let that sit in my hair for a couple hours when I'm done with my pre-poo, I remove my plastic cap and it's time to shampoo. So I head straight to the shower okay, so first of all, I am wearing a tube top, so I'm not all here naked on the Internet. I promise anyway, I take my hair down from the buns and I begin to saturate my hair from roots to ends with some warm water, poor shampoo. I will be using the aura as olive oil creamy, a lotion or, but I will be adding my secret weapon pure baking, soda, because it helps it. My support on my taxes, so I squeeze a quarter size amount into the palm of my hand and sprinkle some baking soda on top. I then lather up and begin applying it to my scalp. Only this shampoo is an oldie but goodie. It is well known in the relaxed hair community. I used to use it years ago, but I eliminated it from my regimen because of how dry I would meet my hair. However, I recently picked it up and was surprised if I know that this new formula is a lot less dripping on my hair. Bear in mind that this is a clarifying shampoo, so it does have Sophia in it. I used it on this particular wash day to really build up, because I felt like my hair was getting a little weight on the shampoo and conditioner. I use depends on my hair's needs that week and I rotate accordingly remember. The ultimate goal is to listen to your hair. I like to go in with this scalp brush to help lick the flakes and dead skin cells. For my scalp, when used correctly, it can be a very helpful tool on wash days working in sections. I pull my hair tots press, the brush against my scalp and then gently wiggle it in small circular motions. I recommend shampooing your hair in sections, especially if you have new growth coming in it makes it way easier. I usually section off my hair with Clips, but by the time I realize I forgot to get them. I was already in the shower and soaking way. The brush is also pretty handy for detangling any Natsume come across while shampooing my sister was the one. To put me on to this, it's by the Brent Annie and she got a pack of four from Amazon for real, cheap after using the brush. I then like to go in with just my fingertips and really give my scalp a good scrub. When I'm done, I squeeze the shampoo down the length of my hair and believe it or not. That is all you need. You don't need to apply shampoo. The reference to the length of your hair, whatever was applied to your scalp, will be enough for the length of your hair. So I shampoo my scalp twice only adding baking soda to the first wash. Then I rinse after I rinse I gently twist and squeeze my hair to remove the excess water for my deep conditioner. I use the or s olive oil or initial condition, another og that I abandon for her while to try other pcs on the market. But I return to it like the prodigal, so I went ahead and mixed in avocado oil and jojoba oil again. The oil combinations I mix in depends on how my hair feels I chose these two this week because of their moisturizing properties. So I apply this combo. All throughout the length of my hair, focusing on my ends, which means the most Norrish met being the oldest part of my hair, and I made sure to quote my new growth too, because I need it to be moisturized in order for it to be manageable. When I'm done smoothing the conditioner, all in I pin my hair up on top of my head and place. A plastic cap on I've been at my twisty turban on top for added heat. Since I wasn't going to be using a dryer if you are using a dryer, the recommended time is 10 minutes. After deep conditioning for 45 minutes, I was ready to rinse the conditioner out, so I remove my turban and my plastic cap before rinsing. I like to detangle my hair with the conditioner in, and it was so easy because this conditioner has excellent sleep, which is why it was a favorite on hair blogs back in the day. This is a great conditioner if you are looking to start taking better care of your hair, even though it has protein in it. It is very moisturizing. It is affordable, easy to find and smells great. I also like to detangle under the force of running water. The water helps to dissolve any tangles that may want to form and keeps your hair going in one direction. My only con about this conditioner is that it takes forever to rinse out when I'm done rinsing. I shower to remove all of the hair products from my body and take the time to remove hair from unmentionable places. I know you guys know I'm talking about anyway, so when I'm done doing all that I squeeze the excess water out. Pin my hair up and put my twist determine on to soak up all the excess. I let that sit on my head for about 20 minutes in this shot. I am just showing you guys what my new roof looks like at 16 weeks post. While my hair is still damp, I apply my leave-in, which is Appaji, provides the man leading conditioner, and I comb that, through my hair, to make sure it is evenly distributed, and that's it that's my wash day. I then move on to styling my hair. However, I choose at that points. I leave a few options down in the description box. Thank you guys. So much for watching see you in next video
