How To Sleek Ponytail On Short Relaxed Hair| Ft Insertnamehere

I can't even tell you like, oh my god, how did you do that? Ponytail how'd? You put it in a ponytail. How does it look so natural? How does it look so sleek, like you, can't tell me that it's not my hair, because of the way that i do it and i'm going to show you how we do that in this video. First of all, this is what she looks like i don't know if you guys will be able to see, because it is like really bright in here um. But i love this and i love the little bag that it comes in as well, because you can literally hang this with a hanger in your wardrobe. So everything is nice and protected, and you know you just take her out when you want to wear her and you put her right back when you're done um. So they sent me the my ponytail. The maya ponytail is the sleek long straight ponytail, i'm so excited for this ponytail in particular, because my bellamy one is on its way out like she has been going strong and it's time for her to go it's time for her to go. So this is what the maya ponytail looks like straight out of the packet, i'm in love, she's, super soft super super soft, really, really really really really long. Look how long she is guys. This is the top, and this is how long she is really long and i'm only five foot, so this is gon na. Be super super super long on me, which i love, because i love long extensions i mean my hair is short. So if i'm going to get any type of extension, it has to be long. Otherwise, what is the point but um? Yes, they sent me there. My ponytail and i'm in love, don't mind my hair, we're going to transform what i look like. Okay, let me just put this back for now, because we look a little bit crazy, but um yeah. They sent me the maya ponytail, and this is the strap that you use to wrap around the banding so and then they also sent me their shayla ponytail. Now guys i already wore this one, because i was just i love curly hair and if you don't know my natural hair is really curly. I this is relaxed, hair right now. Okay, i just wanted to change until i relax my hair, but my hair is 3c3b um and i love curly hair. So when they sent me the shayla ponytail i was so excited. I don't even think you guys understand. This is what she looks like. She is gorgeous okay, she's beautiful. I wore this yesterday, no tangling no shedding super easy to look after um there's no product in her right now. This is just what she looks like and guys she is beautiful, like so many people thought this was my hair, like i i'm obsessed with these ponytails, and so i'm going to show you how we do them in this video. The process is the same. The application is the same. It'S just two different looks depending on the bag that you're going for so yeah love that from me. This is what we are working with. She is freshly washed and freshly pressed for this video. Now you don't need to have like straight hair like me, because we are going to gel it down anyways. I just like to straighten my hair because i find that it makes the canvas a lot easier and you know stuff like that. Um. But obviously, if you've got straight hair, then you don't need to worry just blow dry, your hair and you're good to go and if you've got curly hair you don't need to do all of that. You can even do your hair when it's wet. I remember when i used to do ponytails back in uni before i started straightening my hair and whatnot, when my hair was really curly um. I would literally just slick it back with some water and gel straight out the shower, because my hair is already like flat from the shower and the water, and you know just apply a little bit of gel slick. It back. Braid, your hair and you're literally good to go like it's that simple, but you know with my hair being short and relaxed. I pressed out - and this is how we are starting off this video, okay, so the products we are going to be using for this video. You guys already know the drill is the got to be ultra glued hair gel. This is the only hair gel that really slicks down my edges. I'Ve said this a bunch of times i do not like using eco eco styler gel for my edges, i'll use it for like my hair um, but i don't like using it for my edges, because it makes my edges white and i'm not a fan of that. Okay, i will literally do this, or do this or even do this, and my edges are white and they don't even last they don't hold. Literally, throughout the day, my edges will start to unravel, become a little bit unruly and they don't look as crisp as they did when they first, you know, got made and slayed and all that kind of stuff. So i use this but of course feel free to use whatever it is that you want to use. Speaking of eco styler gel i'm going to go ahead and take my olive oil eco styler gel. I don't like eco, but if i am gon na use the eco, it's got to be olive oil, okay, because this is the one out of all of them. That does not make my hair as crispy and as white as the other ones. Do the clear one. The pink one, the blue one, they all make my hair white and crispy and just flaky, but this one i mean it does do it, but not to the same extent it's not as bad. So this is the one that i'm going to be using um for today, and i've got a big tub, because i have a lot of hair, so um yeah you're also going to need a bow bristle brush to smooth your hair down. You'Re also going to need an edge brush, i'm going to go grab mine in a minute, but you are going to need an edge brush for your edges and, last but not least, we're going to use some got to be glued hairspray. You need this because you're going to tame those flyaways, you want to make sure your style lasts for as long as it can. Whenever i do a ponytail hairstyle on my hair, the aim is for it to last for a week no difference. If i went to a salon and they attached a weft of hair to my head, it will last for about a week. And so, whenever i do this style i like to make sure it lasts for the whole week, because i'm not trying to wash and do this to my hair. Again, let's be honest. So if i can do a hairstyle, that's gon na last me for a good, while i'm gon na need some products that i'm to make sure that this hairstyle lasts so yeah got to be glued spray is the way to go, although, although another hairspray, that is Also, really good - that is a little bit stronger, is again by schwarzkopf. If that's how you say it got to be, and this is their happy hour hairspray, i love this hairspray. This has a little bit more hold than the original got to be. I literally have like little to nothing left, which is why i'm not using this. This is for a special occasion, because i don't have much and i need to buy more and um. You know i'm just going to work. We don't need to use the bad way right now. Okay, we can use the other one. We use this one for a special occasion, but this is amazing, like this will literally hold your hair down. It will not move, it will dry, nice and hard, and you don't even have to worry about it. There'S no flakes no schmakes, no crispiness, nothing, it just does what it needs to do. So if you don't want to use that - and you have this - this is definitely my first choice. Alrighty, so i've got my edge brush. I'Ve got all my equipment, i've got the hair. I do want to say as well. This um ponytail, the um maya ponytail, is like a yaki texture. It'S not super sleek and straight. It'S almost got like a yucky type of feel to it. So if you do have relaxed hair, this is perfect for you, because it will literally blend in with your texture, because this has a little bit of texture in it um. So yeah just wanted to point that out for any of you guys that are wondering the texture is not super sleek and straight. Like my hair, this is like a yaki texture, which is amazing if you've got textured hair. So i just want to put that out there. They also give you bobby pins as well, and if you guys can see that they give you two bobby pins for each of the ponytails. So that is literally all you need. Unless you have shorter pieces in your hair, like i do my fringe, you might need a little bit more, but we're gon na get into that we're gon na get into it in this video. So one more, let's just let's just get started. So, let's just get right into it: okay, so i'm going to start off with my eco styler gel and i'm just going to open her up. You are going to need a hair band as well, if i didn't say before, you're going to need a hairband, okay and um, i'm going to take my eco styler gel and my boar bristle brush, and i'm just literally just going to dip this in here. Like that, you don't need a lot: okay, because a little bit does go a long way, um yeah, so i literally dip it in scrape off the excess and then just kind of you know reapply and whatever and then what i'm gon na do is i'm going To gather all my hair like, i would, if i was doing a ponytail and i'm gon na put my hair in a ponytail. This is just rough okay, it's not neat and then taking my brush with the gel. I'M just going to slick all my hair back like this in the ponytail, and this is why i put my hair in the ponytail as well, because it just kind of like acts as a guide, so that you know i know how far i want to pull Things back because you can do this in different ways. You can either be that person who pulls everything back like this or you can bring it down like this. It really depends on how you want it to look. You know what i mean: this just comes down to personal preference, but i'm going to pull my downward um because i just like how that looks a little bit better. What is all this stuff in my brush and if you feel like yours, is kind of like drying up a little bit, which you know it will just dip in a little bit more gel and then just you know, add more to your hair. It'S that simple! Just like that, so once you have everything slicked back like so, you want to take your hair band out and you just want to use your hands first of all, and you just want to glide your hair, like you just want to guide it where you want. It to be, and then taking my rat tail comb, i'm just going to define my part, because i want it to be really crisp and you know bang on in the middle, so yeah just like that. So we're just using this to get rid of any bumps and to further smooth everything back and then once you're happy with it like. I am right now: i'm gon na go ahead and gather everything back like you would, if you were doing your bun and then once you're happy with it and you're happy with how everything looks and there's no bumps, and you know everything is to your liking. It literally comes down to personal preference. You can also do this style with a side part if you want to, it, doesn't have to be a middle part, or you can have no part at all um, where you literally just comb everything back and kind of. Do it like that, it's completely up to you, but i like middle parts on me personally um. So that's why i did like this, but once you're happy with everything and you've got enough gel in it and you've slipped everything back and everything is nice. There'S no bumps, then you want to take your hairband and you just want to put it in the ponytail. As you see me doing here, you don't want to make this too tight as well. It has to be tight enough to where everything is in it, but you don't want to make it too tight, because if it's too tight it will hurt your head. Okay, you will get headaches, you will get pain back here, it's not worth it just for a style, so make sure your ponytail isn't too tight and everything will look. Fine, i'm going to go ahead and take my got to be glued um gel and i'm just going to use this to slick and do my edges using my edge brush um. So again just go over my hairline and um yeah. I'M just going to use this to just fix anything that i want to fix, redefine any parts you know do what you like to do and you can really customize the front to your liking. Like i've seen some girls do some really cute. Like sweeps and edges, you can do that if you like, it's completely up to you, how you want to style your edges, but yeah you just want to like, do it, how you want it to be, i'm quite happy with how this looks right now, so that Is how i'm gon na wear mine? Oh this looks so cute and we're not even done yet so once you have got your hair like this, you can totally leave it here. I mean you know. This is like the best starting position. If you want to wear your hair in a bun as well, you can totally leave your hair, like this um put it in a nice little bun and call it a day. I love doing this hairstyle on myself as well. I think it looks really classy really cute and of course, you've got no hair in your face, but the show must go on and i'm going to show you how we do the ponytail, but before we do that, i'm going to take my got to be glued Hairspray, i'm just going to go ahead and spray everything down. This is just going to make sure everything is locked in position and it does not move so yeah. You just want to spray, it get the back as well. Don'T forget the back, don't forget your part. Get your part in as well, because you don't want any flyaways and then make sure you get your side, i'm going to take the ponytail out again and i'm just going to re-redo it now that everything is sprayed in place. So now taking my bobby pins, i'm going to just pin the back just to make sure again everything is nice and pulled and tight. If all your hair is the same length, you don't need to do this, but it's only because i have shorter pieces. So i just want to make sure you know by any means they don't move, so i'm going to start off with the maya ponytail. I love this. This is beautiful, like i'm, so excited to try this i'm gon na take the two bobby pins that they have put in here for us. So if you don't have bobby pins, don't worry yourself because they will literally give you some, which is amazing, because a lot of companies are not as thoughtful. So thank you so much for being thoughtful and i'm just going to kind of run. My fingers through her just to get it going. You know we don't want no stiff ponytail. This isn't stiff anyway, there's a lot of life to it, as you guys can see, there's no shedding. There'S no tangling like it's literally gorgeous, but i just like to run my fingers through any type of hair i get just so i can tell you how it feels and whatnot um so yeah. This is what she looks like. It'S got a comb on the back here standard, just like most ponytails and then, of course, you've got your strap that you wrap around. So what i'm gon na do. Is you just wan na okay? So this is your ponytail, and this is the hair right. So, where the comb is you wan na place it in the middle of your ponytail, if you're wearing your hair dead on like dead center, you want to place your hair in the middle of your ponytail like this. If you're wearing your hair to the side, then obviously you want to position this in a way that it can cover this side, but i'm wearing my hair dead in the center. So once you have placed it in the center of your ponytail, you want to take this piece. The piece that doesn't have the strap this piece here and you want to place it at the the back of the ponytail okay, so it should be underneath then taking this bit right here. You want to just you know, grab it and it's got velcro on it. So you just want to velcro it together like that, and then you just simply wrap this piece of hair around it like. So it's super like self-explanatory. You just wrap this piece of hair around it like so until you get to the very end and you want to pull on it, so it's nice and tight and then once you've done that taking the bobby pins that they've read or you can use your own. You just want to pin this piece in place, so it doesn't move and it doesn't go anywhere, i'm going to use both of them, because it's just extra security. That is it. That'S literally how you attach it. You just put it in the middle and you just wrap the velcro around and once you've done that this is what she looks like and, as you guys can see, you know if you placed it in the middle, you can literally pull your hair to any side That you want, you can put it to the left. You can pull it to the right and you can also wear it in the middle. As you see me wearing it right now, i'm going to show you what she looks like from the back. So, as you can see, this is what she looks like she is super thick super full, and this is what it should look like in the back, so you just want to bobby, pin it on the side, as you see that i've done here and everything will Be nice and tight and, as you can see, i'm spreading my hair and you can't see my hair in the middle, which is amazing, because this hair is super thick super luscious and super nice. And the quality of this ponytail is just amazing, and this is the my ponytail but yeah you guys. It was super simple super easy and you just want to apply her like that, and you can literally you know, go this hairstyle literally takes like five minutes to do it's great. If you're on the go or if you're someone who works really early like i do or you just you're just really busy - and you don't have time to do your hair, it's a great protective hairstyle, because all your hair is tucked back. It slicks back. You have no heat, you don't have to worry about it. You know tangling and whatever during the day and your hair just looks amazing. This is also perfect if you're going to like a job interview or, if you're, trying to slay on the ground or just slay in person all day every day. Okay, this is the perfect ponytail for you and i'll definitely be wearing this a lot. You guys already know i love my ponytail if you watch my vlogs and you see my pictures and everything you have me on snap. You know i love ponytails and i'm obsessed with the quality of this one. It'S a yaki texture, there's no tangling, there's no shedding it's amazing and literally, when i'm done with this, i can just put it in the packaging. Hang it in my wardrobe and call it a day, and it is in good condition, and it is ready for me to use again another thing i love about the packaging with this as well. Is that because it is in this type of packaging, it means that it's super easy and convenient to travel with. So i can literally just put the hair in this, throw it in my bag, throw it in my suitcase or wherever it is. I'M going - and i know the hair is protected. It'S not going to be tangled. It'S not going to shed it's not going to break it's literally, going to stay in good condition how it is now, when you first open it, because it is in a nice bag, and if you don't use that bag for this purpose, you can use it for Any other type of hair extension that you have so that's another great thing about this company again i love companies that are super thoughtful because you get more bang for your buck. You get what i'm saying so. Yeah like this is just this. Ponytail is just beautiful. I'M definitely gon na wear this tomorrow when i go to work, because i'm obsessed all right so now that we tried the maya ponytail, i'm gon na show you the shayla ponytail. Now i love both these ponytails, but this is by far my favorite one because it is curly hair. It is really long is thick. The texture is beautiful, there's no product in this hair. I literally just took it out the packet fluffed it out like this. With my hands - and that is it there's no product in this at all i wore this yesterday i got no tangling. There was no shedding it's just a beautiful ponytail. I feel like this is something that you need to wear. If you're going out on a date night or if you're, you know getting all cute with your mains or your partner, whoever it is that you're with your preference, you know what i'm saying, but this is the ponytail, i'm definitely gon na wear on date, nights like The straight one, the maya ponytail is classy sophisticated, something that i'm definitely gon na wear for every day. But when i'm going to an event when i'm going to a birthday, a wedding, a party or i'm trying to get jiggly with my mans. This is the ponytail that i'm going to be wearing like it's just it's just so sexy like it's just so like you need guys. You need the shayla ponytail um, so yeah, i'm going to show you how we apply this one again. So what you want to do is you're going to take your comb. You know what let me turn around and show you, because that might be better. So what you want to do is you want to take your ponytail with the clip and you just want to place it down in the middle like that, then taking this side, you want to wrap it underneath your ponytail and taking this side you want to wrap That, on top you know, you want to connect the velcro together and make sure you pull on it and tug on it. So it's nice and tight, and then you just want to wrap the hair around it. As you see me doing here, just keep wrapping and make sure you pull on it. So it's nice and tight. You just want to keep going and going and going until you get to the top and then taking my bobby pin, i'm going to just secure her in place so that she doesn't move, and that is literally it, and this is what she looks like this - is The shayla ponytail honey. I love this ponytail guys when i wore this yesterday, everybody thought it was my real hair, like everyone thought this was my real hair. The texture of it is gorgeous. Let me show you: this is the texture of the hair. Again, there's no product in it whatsoever. It'S super shiny, it is thick, it's not thin. The ends do not look like they're struggling on this one or the maya ponytail, and it's just beautiful, like this texture of hair is like amazing, like for the quality for the price. This is amazing, like i am obsessed with this ponytail again. You can also wear these ponytails in different ways: side parts, middle parts with the same routine, just add a little bit of gel slick. It back apply some hairspray a few bobby pins and voila. That is literally it for these hairstyles. It'S so simple, so easy! You can literally take these everywhere. You go with the packaging and with how convenient it is, you can travel with it. It is just so simple and it's just a great way to spice up your look. You can do high ponytails low ponytails. If my hair wasn't gelled and glued, it would be so easy to show you how you can do it, but with my hair in this style, i'm not like. This is how i would wear it. You know this is the way that i would wear it, and this is how i'm gon na wear it and yeah. I love it and you can literally just switch up. Your look have fun with it.
