Hey curlfriends welcome back to my channel, it's jazz and i'm back with another quick video. Hopefully, first and foremost, i just want to say thank you, everyone for the kind words and encouragement in my last video, so i definitely will keep pushing through and i'm not going to be defeated because you know i've been doing this for a long time. So i'm not just going to give up just because i've hit a brick wall, which is what it feels like. So let's get right into this video and not make this too long. So i'm going to be doing a blowout by the time of the video. Obviously, i'm going to do a prime ride set on blown out hair. I haven't done this with this size ride before, but i've already shampooed and deep conditioned my hair actually did that last night. I do not recommend sleeping with wet hair, but that's what i did so. I used my hot hair cap. I know you guys seen me use these. It'S actually, my third one um. This is the one i used to have, and this is the one i just got recently um. I will link that in the description box. It'S very convenient hands-free, deep conditioning because i feel like adding the heat just takes it to the next level, so i've already shampooed and deep conditioned with uncle funky's thermal protection line. I know you've seen me use this before or my last blowout video. If i'm going to be blowing my blowing out my hair, i want to use something that's going to protect my hair, especially because my hair is dyed now and um. I just want to do everything the best way, so i've used the purifying cleanser and the deep conditioner which i have on my hair right now, i'm about to go rinse it out and i'm going to be trying something new today on blowing out my hair, so Living proof, i'm not sure, be familiar with them. They sent me this triple bond complex, it's a hair strengthener and i'm going to use it alongside with the split end serum after i rinse this out. I'M going to put these both on my hair and let those sit for like 10 minutes and then blow dry, my hair, so i'm kind of doing like a heat, protectant primer combo before i blow dry my hair and then i'm gon na come back. I'M trying to decide between the orange rods or the pink ones. I think i'm gon na do the orange rise because i feel like i just did these pink ones, so i'm gon na be using the peach size. I will link those also in the description box. I'M gon na link everything in the description box that i'm using there's also a 10 off code that i have for uncle funky's daughter. This video, obviously, is not sponsored by them, but if you want to save some money and get these this thermal protection line, if you're someone who flat irons or blow dries your hair, often you got to protect your hair, all right i'll, be right back, i'm going To blow dry my hair once this out, not in that order, so i'm already blow drying my hair. I'Ve done this a few times already, so i will put a link for a video if you want to check out how i blow dry, my hair, i'm going to be using a lot of body milk line their mousse. I love this mousse and you see how much i use. I think i use too much on this piece because you see it's starting to curl, so going forward only use like one pump, so i'm doing my infamous wrapping method um that i always do for all. My rides and i'm using like a little bit more on the ends, because my hair is dry and i want it to stick to the rod. So that's going to help by applying more product, i'm not taking the product all the way up to my roots, just because i want my roots to be wet, um and puffy. So i will also show you how i'm closing the rod which is going to help you avoid puffy roots, because it's a common mistake people make with more so rushing through. This will cause you to have puffy roots if you're not close, the rod correctly. I'M going to be using large sections, i only did 21 rods, so let me slow this down and bring you all the way up close. So you use your finger as a guide if you're not looking in the mirror and you're just wrapping it. As you can see, i'm pulling my hair out to making sure that it stays smooth. If you have to stop - and do this make sure it's nice and smooth that's going to give you that bomb definition that you're looking for and then like, i said before, use a little bit more mousse to seal that hair pretty much on top of itself. Now, there's two ways to close a rod depending on where you finish, if you just close it towards the front without really seeing where that ends up it's going to be loose. So i took it around the back and came across the front and it's not going to move. So i'm going to show you that again one more time and like i said before, i am not putting the mousse like on my roots area, because i want that to stay smooth. So i'm wrapping my hair around and i'm going to seal that with the mousse. You kind of like wrapping your hair on top of itself when it gets towards the end and that's going to help it stick. So, as you see my perm rod where it ended, if i go towards the front, it's not going to be tight, so i'm going to go to the back and across the front with the roots, and it's not going to move. So that's that it's really simple. Take your time with this, if you want a really nice uniform curl, i sat under the dryer for about 40 minutes and then i air dried overnight. I was attempting to take them down the same day, but i suffered through sleeping with these and just because i didn't think it was fully dry because i was using large sections. So when you do large sections like this, you want to make sure your hair is dry. Look at these curls, oh, so i love the soft finish that a mousse will give a perm rod set, especially on a blowout. I really hate to ruin a blowout with like heavy creams or gels, just because it kind of defeats the purpose of that nice, soft bouncy curl and that's what i was looking for, especially when you start to separate these. It kind of starts to look like you. Just used wine curls on a blowout, which is a cute look for me, so i'm not gon na do much separation just because i'm going to a family reunion, i'm going to be outside of the park, because i really wasn't thinking about that up. Until this very moment, so i'm just going to do light separation and fill in those parts and i'm not going to tug on it to give it normally. I would like stretch it a little bit more to give it a lot more length, but i'm going to let that happen throughout the day. So, as you can see, these are nice curls. I did go in with a comb and kind of fill in with you. Can still see those parts, so that was all good but look at this and i'm still still fanning out over this color, because i'm still so in love with it, i still need to go back, but that's gon na be for another video. So let me show you how this turned out okay, so it wasn't as bad as i thought being at a picnic outside and then i went to another engagement that was also outside after the family and we held up pretty nicely. I really was upset because i was like i didn't think about this. You know. What'S the plan, i'm like you're doing a blowout, you got to be outside the park all day, but look at this we held up i'm telling you that moose comes through. If it's done correctly, so i only use 21 rods and one styler and we were in there now. How long is it gon na last throughout the week? I think it's gon na be like 90 in two days, so i don't think we're gon na make it through seven days, but we made it through today and that's all that matters. So let me know, are you doing blowouts this summer? How is the heat humidity levels where you are i'm in cleveland? So it's hot, but it's also kind of like sticky humid when it gets hot, but today we're good because normally we can't have hot weather without some sort of thunderstorm brewing in the background. So but i managed to make it through today, i'm sure you can tell the difference a little bit, but it was not horrible. We made it, that's why i didn't do so much because i knew i was i'm gon na be outside and i didn't really like tug on it and make it longer, because i knew it was going to stretch on its own. So i'm very pleased so comment down below. Let me know what you think. Let me know what you want to see next and i will see you in the next video peace
