How To Stretch Natural Hair Without Heat | Acrylic Yarn | African Threading Inspired

Acrylic yarn has by far been the easiest and quickest way to stretch my natural hair without heat! I’ve tried many ways: wire, hair ties, braids, twists; but this has been the one that treated me best. I'm not a blow-dry type of girl, I just prefer the heatless way. I've blow-dried my hair a total of 4 times in 7 years, one of which was on the cool setting!

To stretch my Afro, kinky curly coily hair on washday, I apply a leave-in and then yarn wrap it overnight (2 days). It takes a long time for my hair to air dry, so I always leave space between the yarn.

Special shout out to my viewers who inquired about my heatless stretch routine, I hope this video helps you. Thank You for asking.

What I Used:

✔100% Acrylic Yarn (268 yards)

Loops & Thread Impeccable Yarn

❗️In my personal experience, the yarn does not cause breakage or leaves my hair dry after the takedown.

If you're still reading, then you and I have something in common, we like to read! :-) Thanks for coming to my party-our party- and I will upload again, soon!

Yolanda Aslean: I need to try this method. I’ve been doing the banding method with elastics but I’ll try it with the yarn. Your hair is gorgeous btw

Sumaiyah Smith: I really love this tutorial, thank you I will stretch my daughter's hair like this today

Hi. Goodbye: Ooooooo this came out at the perfect time! I really was about to blowout my hair with heat but now I don’t have to! Thanks for sharing

MsMiracle37: Beautiful hair! I’m gonna try this and thanks for sharing!

Dee Scott: Thank for sharing. I usually use thread which is a pain to remove from my 4c hair since it twines with my hair . The yarn is thicker so it will work better

Natural 76: Nice and informative..I just love your hair.. it's sooooo beautiful ❤️

SimplySamaya: genius ,genius, genius im definitely going ti be trying this out! Thank you

Tjuana B: YOU ARE WHAT I ASPIRE TO BE!!!!

Marcella: Love your videos

nubiz3: Excellent video as usual!!!!

rjmami8508: I love how you edit your videos. Your hair looks good too

Taryn: Oooo I love how your hair is coily like mine. 4B? My hair is super short right now, about three and a half inches so I find it hard to band but I will try again on my next wash day after I take out my protective style. Thank you so much for the effort you put into your videos and for representing us kinky coily girls who don't get enough representation here on YouTube. I feel like it's either type 3 or 4 C that is celebrated

cheryl williams: beautiful love it just water/conditioner

xXxVALKYRIE x: Love the nice message at the end

Hannitta Mannoh: I actually prefer yarns to thread. Good job here.

Angela Howard: I have coarse happy hair, your hair is curly, my hair is so coarse it has NO curl pattern and rolls into a knot. Have been natural since 2018 but thinking about going back to relaxer, because at age 60 and with arthritis, it's not worth it.

Fatima: Did you do this after you shampooed your hair ?

alex t: why don't you have more views?

Chiedza Mutiro: Do you wear your hair out like this or do you use a wig?

Lady AO: what leave in conditioners do you use?
