You guys know how it is with fine hair, you blow it out on day one. It looks fabulous until you sleep on it and then bam. It looks flat and lifeless and terrible and that's it you either wash it and start again or you don't, and you live with the fact that day, two to four just may not look that cute today, i'm going to show you four days of styling fine hair Without washing in between i'm going to give you tips and tricks for sleeping i'm going to give you very cute, look ideas show you some products you may have never seen before, and i'm going to take you along with me and my family on our summer week Off, let's go today's video is brought to you by lilly, silk. I'Ve talked about lily silk before and i genuinely just love this brand, my goodness, you guys they just have the most beautiful things. This gorgeous shirt that i am wearing today is by lily silk and the reason that i love it so much is because of how incredibly chic and high-end it looks, but also because silk is a natural temperature regulator. So i find that i never ever get too hot or cold when i wear it, it's just really really comfortable and super breathable. Another really amazing thing about this brand is that they are environmentally conscious and they are committed to zero waste production. Even the fabric remains. Are used to make accessories like the scrunchies and the silk eye masks in today's day and age. It is incredibly important that we are eco-focused and aware when we're making our purchase decisions. If you want to learn more about lilly silk's zero waste movement, i will leave a link to that specific information in the description box below without further ado. Let'S get started today is wash day. The first tip i have for you is to do a double shampoo, shampoo number one gets rid of the surface level, oil debris and buildup. You may notice that you don't get a lot of lather with the first shampoo and that's because it's picking up that surface level gunk and flushing it down. The second shampoo is what finishes off the scalp and the hair cleanse. If you're a one shampoo gal and you don't shampoo daily, then i highly suggest that you start adding that second shampoo in because you will get a longer wear from your style before you get build up since you're, starting really clean, because you don't have build up On the hair, you may notice that you get a lot more volume in your style as well. Now, of course, we add our conditioner after our shampoo staying away from the roots, giving it a solid five minutes to penetrate and do its job, and then we rinse prep is everything on day one. So, let's start with some instant lift thickening spray by kristen s. I spray it all over my hair to pump it up, and then i go in with shine shield heat protectant cream by skin research institute. To ensure that i am protecting my hair and minimizing any potential for styling damage, i brush everything through from roots to ends, and then i start my blowout now. This is a tool that i actually cannot live without because my hair is very frizzy and actually very wavy. If i want any hopes of achieving a smooth style that isn't pancaked to my head, which is what a flat iron does to my fine hair. I have to have to blow it out. This specific brush is by a company called blow brusher, but they are very limited in the countries that they sell to. There is an identical one by taimo that i just got, and i am obsessed with it i'll leave a link to it in the description box and i'm going to be doing a whole video about it very shortly. So stay tuned for more about that. The next tip i have for you is to start with as much volume as possible on day one. How do you get great volume you use velcro rollers, i like using a mohawk placement waiting for the hair to cool spraying with sebastian shaper, which is my favorite flexible, hold non-sticky, hairspray and then releasing them. I did an entire video on velcro rollers. I know you guys have a lot of questions about them, so i will leave a link to that video in the pinned comment below in case. You want to check it out next and there we go. This is what day one looks like it's super voluminous. It'S very shiny and bouncy. I took my kids to play at the park when it was majorly hot and there was tons and tons of humidity and, as you can see it deflated a bit because that's just the reality of our hair type. But it was still really beautiful nonetheless, now in order to take a shower every day. What i do is i plot my hair in a silk scrunchie so that i don't get any dents from the elastic and i put on a shower cap to minimize frizz from the steam of the shower. Here'S, an interesting tip that you may have never heard before. Before bed add some dry shampoo to soak up any of the oils that occurred throughout the day and to absorb any sweat that may happen when you are sleeping, you really want your style to last a long time so that you don't have to do all of This work again and get more heat damage again, so try to prevent things from happening before they even happen. Stop the oil and the sweat from ruining the style before it has a chance to with dry shampoo. Finally, every night i apply my md hair restore serum on any areas that are thin, which for me is on the front sides of my head and then i'm ready for bed now at the risk of being dramatic here is a life altering trick. Silk. Pillowcases are amazing for maintaining your style throughout the day, because there will be less friction on your strands. Look at how gorgeous this silk pillow case is by lily silk. What'S even better is that these pillowcases also make our skin less prone to sleep wrinkles, as it's less likely than cotton to cause resistance against the face that can lead to wrinkles the same reason it keeps our hair frizz free. It keeps your face, wrinkle free! If you end up buying one thing from this entire video to help your hair look great, it should be this. This is the one thing that's really going to allow you to wear your hair for multiple days without washing it when i woke up on day 2. My hair looked like this it's flat, but it could be worse for sure there really isn't that much frizz, so we can use this as a staple to build up another style. The first thing i do every morning is, i use a touch of dry shampoo again to freshen it up, and then i style it if you wore your hair straight on day, one wear your hair wavy on day two, because wavy is more forgiving. If it's less perfect, i've shown you this style technique a few times, but it's definitely my staple from the ear down. I rock my flat iron up and down to create a soft bend at the bottom of the head when the hair gets longer at the top. I take a one inch curling wand and i wrap my hair around the barrel by twisting it this twist technique is what gives me a wave shape and not a ringlet, not a curl. I love this look because it's very modern - and it looks super duper, flattering pretty much on everyone. If you want more specifics about this technique, check out this video next, i'm also going to leave it in the pinned comment below. If you want more volume and a really worn in kind of gritty, vibe then finish it off with texture spray. Surfer girl by sexy hair is really good for achieving that kind of salty lived-in result. Today was beach day for me and my kiddos, so i put on my bikini and then i used my favorite green blouse by lily silk as a beach cover up, believe it or not, because this material is so breathable, you can style it up for business, wear And i often wear it to work or you can totally style it down for casual lifestyle. Wear too the vibrancy of this color is so stunning on the beach. I felt great in this all day long, my husband, kids and i rented this tiny house style cabin near goderich in ontario, so after the beach we headed over there. I know this is a hair video, and this is what my hair looked like. After being on the beach all day, but is this cabin not the cutest thing you've ever seen in your whole entire life? Oh my gosh, we had so much fun. It was a tiny house adventure if you want to check it out i'll leave the airbnb link in the description box at the cabin. I didn't want to be extra and bring my silk pillowcases with me, so i brought my silk bonnet. Instead, i'm telling you guys this really is the key to maintaining any hair. Look throughout multiple days. If i just sleep on a regular cotton pillowcase, it makes it so much harder to restyle my hair the next day. This is a life-changing thing. This really is the most important thing you should get out of this video. This is the morning of day three, and this is what my hair looks like today, i'm going to explore the area with my family, so i just want my hair to be out of my face and i don't want to spend even 10 minutes waving it, which Means i'm going to do my favorite french twist hack pay attention to this. This is awesome. I put my hair in a loose ponytail. I split it in half, i feed the hair through the split i tie off the ends and i tuck and pin them in then i very quickly wave the front in the lowest heat setting possible for a bit of framing look at how gorgeous this looks and Honestly, it took all of five seconds and then back to the beach we went that evening. I was going to my sister's 40th birthday party and i wanted to look a little more glam and because my hair was already on day three, i didn't want to style. It down anymore, because it just didn't, have much life left in it when you get to flat and lifeless stage of hair. Try some slick styles, because you may be surprised as to how much you like them and how beautiful they can actually look on you on this day. I did a super slick up style with a middle part. I added a luxie hair, ponytail extension and i curled it with the same one-inch wand. I was using previously check out this dress. I wore from lily silk, it's a burnt orange tone and it's so flowy and so stunning. I got loads and loads of compliments on it that night. This is honestly one of my favorite dresses that i own and like everything else, can be totally styled up or styled down, depending on how you accessorize it. Finally, this is how i woke up on day. Four, my hair was just done and i wanted to give it a break from any hot tools, so i decided to put it in a pull through braid. I have a full tutorial on this exact style right here. So if you love it head on over to that video next, so that you can learn how to execute it on yourself at this point, if your hair has too much oil, you can hide the front of it with an accessory. This really will get you through to that last wash day. This one is also by lily silk and it's so nice and soft. It doesn't tug on my hair or create any damage, but it also totally stays put, and there you go five different styles on four days with fine hair lily silk is having a 12th anniversary sale right now from august 1st to the 31st. So, click on that link and check them out. If you use my code gabby 12, you can also get 12 off lily. Silk everything. You won't be disappointed. You guys it really is luxury in a box. It'S a super super beautiful store with some gorgeous pieces. Thank you guys for watching i'll, see you next week, bye

Glam Girl Gabi: Thank you for washing hair besties! I hope that you found this video helpful for prolonging your hair throughout the week. If you want links to any of the products, please check the description box. The pull through braid video will be coming up NEXT WEEK! I was going to launch it first but then decided not to...stay tuned for that if you're interested in creating that style. If you like this video, check this one out next: Not to be Dramatic but if you have FINE HAIR, this Haircut could be LIFE CHANGING! https://youtu.be/tGJB010L4gk Here is a link to the VELCRO ROLLER video: https://youtu.be/7cOQm4f47g4

Barb Ramsay: I took several years to increase the time between washing my hair. Every year I would add a day. That gave my hair lots of time to adjust. Now was once per week. Double wash and silk pillow cases. Love the time and product savings!

Mai: If I spent just a fraction of the time I'm watching Gabi do her hair on my own hair it would look bomb af... well, maybe not 'life changing' better, but better for sure Loved the cabin and the birthday outfit (congrats with your sis)

L R: I stopped washing my hair regularly about 8 years ago. Prior to that I was down to a few times a week. But then got sick of it (it is pretty long) so I was only washing it when I would put some henna on it every 3-4 months. Then last year I decided to never put anything on my hair again and have not washed my hair since. Very freeing. I do have one of those scalp massagers and I use a boar bristle brush now and then to gently brush the oils down my hair shaft but it looks and feels great. When I tell people I don't wash my hair they can't believe it. I was always oily and in the beginning it took a little while to adjust but eventually it did. I am never going back.

Linda Stewart Brown: We are in Europe and rarely does anyone wash more than every three to four days...I can go ten and have fine hair! It takes patience but the scalp will respond to slower oil production.

Krista Deshazer: I have hair just like yours, but a little lighter in color. However, I’m a Tampa Bay native, and by day two I look like your day four! Dry shampoo used before bed worked amazingly well for me. Unfortunately, after a while it caused my scalp to develop eczema and I started shedding significantly more than usual. Every brand I tried caused the same issues.

Gabriella Grace: Thank you for all the wonderful tips! Loved them! Silk pillow cases are the best. I have many and have been using for years. Big difference! Wonderful tips and your hair is beautiful! Great video ❤️

Marla Rangeloff: I wouldn't think of not washing my face every day. The scalp is no different. It can get very clogged up. Especially using dry shampoo. This can cause hair loss. Just don't blow dry your hair everyday. And if you do, use a cool setting.

Marni Dillon: The second shampoo is a MUST. Changed my hair game when I started doing that.

Hannah James: Ooof this might require too much bravery on my part to not wash my hair by day two lol. By day three I don't have a choice cos I start to get scalp irritation & I don't know, but my itchy scalp makes my hair fall out more or maybe that's just my anxiety. Great tips though. Thank you for sharing this xx

La Stefita: The double shampoo is really a game changer for me! I've been doing it for the last few months, and I would never go back!

Rayne Bair: My hair is the same way when I flat iron it...it's naturally curly and frizzy, so when I go straight, day 1 is very voluminous then it just gets flat and lifeless the rest of the days. Nice to see others with the same issue. Thanks for sharing your tips.

Sugar Pig: My hair would look like I danced naked in the moon light, frolicked in the forest, & tumbled in meadows after sleeping on a cotton pillow case for a few nights! I highly recommend a slippery pillow case! I’ll give the double shampoo method a try, I can go for almost 2.5 weeks without washing before I start getting oily! I shampoo every 3 weeks & I don’t use dry shampoo! My secret weapon is the Boosting foam from Zotos all about curls, I pat that on my scalp & roots before adding the other stylers. Sea salt spray works too but it drys my hair out over time but they both mattify my scalp quite well & makes my wash day twice as long! Hope this helps! O, heres my hair type! Fine medium density 3a curls

Ashleigh Nuñez: I wash my hair twice a week, and I have very fine, thin, oily hair. I’m a nurse, so I do rinse my hair in the shower to get the germs out from work when I’m not wearing a cap of some kind. Some days I run conditioner through the ends, which my hair absolutely loves on non-wash days. I use dry shampoo on the second and third days. My hair has adjusted just fine to washing only twice a week. It can be done. And for hair like mine, dry shampoo is a must, unless I’m putting it up. I also use silk pillow cases as much as possible.

Sabsa 70: I agree 100% with using a silk pillowcase! Really life changing. For hair, skin and sleep in general. The pillowcases are so light and small, I put one in my suitcase and take it with me wherever I go on vacation. No exceptions!!! Greetings Sabine

William Charles: The dry shampoo before bed is a great idea, I'm gonna share that with my fine hair clients

Tabetha Ray: Hello.Gabi. Hope you're having a wonderful day and thanks for the content.

Styles By Summer: I just did a review on the Tymo Volumizer! I can't wait to hear your thoughts on it! Loving your channel

Serendipity: Gabi, your hair looks like it's gotten quite a bit thicker! Great Video!

Ágnes Juhász: I love your hairstyle! My hair is also very fine, and I have kept it almost to my waist for years. I am so bored with it, and it just lays flat on my head without any volume... i have to wash it every day for it to look presentable. Great tip about dry shampoo in the evening, and I am really thinking about a cut like yours.

YGiann: once again what a great video! Can you please suggest an air brush that it good for thin fine hair temperature wise etc and than be used after every hair wash or so without damaging our hair? all of them so far seem to have very high temperatures, bristles that pull on hair etc and us thin haired gals cant have that :P

light: I was a 3 times washing woman but now just 2 , cause I don’t have as much as I did before due to wonderful aging process

Stephanie Lewis: Wish i could get a few days out of mine lol i get about 12 hours out of my hair and it's greasy. I don't mean a little bit of oil, I mean a lot of oil lol looks like you can wring out my hair. Dry shampoo does nothing on my hair on the second day, There is just too much oil. :(

whereisleigh: So cool that Penn Smith Skincare just mentioned your channel! I love her videos! And she credited you for a hair dryer she recommends!

Liz Padilla: Omg I love this Gabi girl. Great advice. I'm definitely going to subscribe.

Jacqueline Connell: Thank you I love your advice xxx

Kaye’s Cottage: Do you have thoughts on older ladies getting perms? Will perms ruin my hair. Yes, I dye my hair aprox every several months. I don’t ever style my own hair so my daughter said ….. mom you should get a modern perm.

Jessica Smith: I heard that using dry shampoo then using hot tools can cause hair breakage, and that you shouldn't use hot tools until the dry shampoo is washed out. I am not sure how true this is. Has anyone else heard of that?

K G: You look stunningly beautiful! Love your tips. Could you also give advice for extra long hair?

Stephanie Additon: This video is SO GOOD! Thank you for showing the style and hair in real time

Kristina Taddei: Double washing just strips the scalp of nutrishes oils, I agree with the woman from EU....your scalp and hair will adjust, and yes I have fine hair....I think as Americans we tend to "mess" with our hair too much(styling, heat, brushing, products)....most people are trained to think if their shampoo doesn't "sudds up" good it's not doing a good enough job cleaning (wrong)!!...

Antoniette Musolino: Brilliant ideas Gabi, the silk pillow is a great idea too, the shirts are gorgs , so glam ❤

Donna Basile: Do you prefer the Tymo volumizer to the Dyson Airwrap brush attachment?

Pam: If I left my hair for 4 days it would be filthy! Gets greasy next day.

Mandie Kay Fit: Doesn't silk hold onto oil from very oily hair more than regular pillowcases, though?

Jennifer H: Ahh I loved this video ✨✨

urska fajmut: I wash my hair once a weak.

AC Haley: You are absolutely gorgeous! Great vid! ❤⭐☀

Diane Belli: Hi Gabi love watching your channel❤❤ , would you be able to tell me the hair serum or the link please

Mandie Kay Fit: Do you have a link for the ponytail extension?

Squeaky Cleaning Mamma: Lovely hair . Do you have the hair oil serum linked in the description below? Can't find it

Xochitl Sandoval: As a person who has thin hair, hoping for new information or hair styles for the week. For example, night before wash, go to work, gym, chores then day two etc and so on.

Tehmina Faisal: Plz do a video on how to avoid hair damage from hard water.

Vanessa M. Simari: Thanks for the great content! It has helped me so much!! Can u please share info on those beautiful butterfly sunglasses???

T F: I know this is a hair video (and I loved all the content) but I want to know where you got that super cute denim outfit with the small flower print for hair day 4!!

A: Girrlll! We need a bonus workout routine video! Thoes abs and back

Cecilia: My fine hair tip is to pull hair up to crown into a scrunchie or big flat pin curl before going to sleep. Next morning lots of volume. Actress girl friend pulls hair up into a ponytail on the crown facing the sky and then with a second coated elastic bends the ends upwards.....result volume at crown and ends flipped. Velcro gives good volume but don't forget heated rollers. Less damage, hands free whilst cooling. Silk scrunchie look good, would like to buy some. Could you try two different coloured scrunchies on crown ponytail up.....gives height and volume which the fabric contributes too ,very youthful look for this old lady . An instant face lift !!!!

Jade: I like how her family just carries on in the background. Lol

Shannon Baldus: You have for sure got that 2nd shampoo thing stuck in my head when i wash my hair but the shampoo i am using is so expensive that I have not done it yet.

Pam Ransom: I let my fine hair unwashed for 4 days..

maureen brophy: Oh if I put that much product in my hair, my scalp would be so It by on 1st day——- I have tried it. I wash , condition my hair every second day. Looks very silky, straight hair & looks good. I was stunned by all the products u used Have the silk pillows. I have stopped using them as I slide off them

Shannon Baldus: your hair just doesn't seem as fine as mine though, yours looks good

Cheryl Brewer: Brilliant tips

Perla: Does the french twisty thing work on longer hair too?

theExistencePROJECT: Is Lily Silk vegan? Also, does using a comb in the shower really make a difference? I have fine hair, by the way. Or thin hair. I’m not sure what the difference is between fine and thin hair. Lol.

Shannon Baldus: have you listed these products in your bio? I know I should just look and see myself, but I try love your hair and want your hair cut as well but i am scared of how to get that cut ! I NEED YOU!!!!!!

Jade: I found battise dry shampoo and it changed my life.

Bea Witched:

Patsy Johnson: What shampoo and conditioner do you use? Products ? Mouse? Thanks

maureen brophy: Correction it= itchy

SR K: Careful with this folks! I got a hair fungus and suffered pain in my scalp for ages by doing this. The longest I can to between washing’s is 1 day and I have to use an anti fungal shampoo on occasion. Can also cause dandruff or folliculitis. Don’t be like me and not be able to pull back your hair for years due to pain! Wash your hair if you need to, not cause it’s a fad.

Perla: But couldn’t you just leave your hair wavy then it won’t be flat?

Karen F: I have fine hair as well and could never go 4 days, as someone who washed daily since a pre-teen-so 50 years 4 days would kill me two /three if it lands on a weekend is the most I can do however I always wore short hair. Pandemic hit and I started growing it, its taken me a while to get used to but I've been enjoying styling it, i have to have volume Im also a big hair fan. Ive found i wash at night ( something i never did) let it mostly dry, rough dry with dryer, and put into a loose very high pony to sleep. Next morning smooth and voluminous. No wash night same pony but dry shampoo before putting up. Then i can style with body any way I choose in the am , of course I spend lots of time on YouTube learning how to style all the time. I am a big fan of your channel ❤
