I relax my hair yep. That'S me: you're, probably wondering how i ended up in this situation, so so: okay, hmm, so so so, foreign, so foreign, so, oh, so so so so foreign, so so foreign, so so so so foreign, so so, foreign, okay, so hmm foreign foreign, so so! Okay, hmm! So so so, okay

NO FREE CATNIP: I went back to relaxers 5 years ago, after my 3rd failed (& longest) attempt to remain natural. Haven't looked back since. Sometimes I wear my hair in braid-outs or perm rod sets, but it's the ultimate convenience to be able to just air dry my hair for a few hours and pass a straightener over it 1 time and be done. No overnight drying, no gel, no brushing or even combing. I used to worry that being relaxed was a statement that I took issue with my ethnic identity but eventually learned that it's a matter of preference, for me. I don't see it as being any worse or different from a body modification. If anything, it's not as bad as others because you can just chop the relaxed hair off and start fresh if you want to.

Lufuno_Ra: Your hair looks beautiful Tshego, can't wait to see part two I've picked up a relaxer in store so many times only to put it down again, I'm raising a 5 year old natural and she says she likes her hair the way it is, proud mom...she managed to convince me to leave it alone...for now, lol.

Sisima13: Finally a hairdresser that didn’t mess up the clients hair with the relaxer She did an amazing job and your hair looks absolutely beautiful ❤️

DearTaneshia: This was so soothing and relaxing to watch. I've been natural for 14 years and I'm so ready to relax again but fear is holding me back for some reason.

Imkita N: This was sooo satisfying to watch I can’t believe your growth in just 2 years! Please tell us how to take care of relaxed hair next

Dyhesha Taylor: To my curly head sisters: Your hair can be relaxed & STILL healthy & BEAUTIFUL! Relaxing your tresses does not represent shame of your curls! It’s what you want to do with YOUR tresses. ‼️ SN: My hair was relaxed for years & soft like a newborn babies hair SERIOUSLY! After shampooing with Ions Wellness shampoo from Sally’s Step1: Rinse with really Warm water Step2: Apply coconut oil (generous amount) to soaking wet hair Step3: Apply Ion Wellness Conditioner (generous amount) massage through Step4: Rinse with really cold water (no manipulation! Just a brief rinse) Step5:Blow Dry (Warm Heat) point dryer down your hair shaft toward ends to help close cuticle! Utilize this method with any MOISTURIZING shampoo & conditioner.

Dee-dee Qolohle: Your hair is absolutely stunning Tshego! I also recently relaxed in December after a 5/6 year natural hair journey! No regrets! Can't wait to see your relaxed hair regiment.

Teleah: Anyone looking to get a virgin relaxer needs to go to him. You can clearly see the experience through the screen he did a lovely job. His technique was everything. Favorite virgin relaxer video :-)

Hairlicious Inc.: Beautiful head of hair sis! Welcome to the Relaxed Hair Community :)

Nwabs: Thank you for convincing me to relax my hair, been meaning to do it Seinfeld December I just didn’t have the guts. Also your hair dresser knows what he is doing! Your hair is beautiful

Mrs. Adriann: Woooooooow!!! That was a MAN!!!! The most beautiful application technique I've ever seen. Keeps the relaxer away from the scalp for an extended period AND the hair isn't bone straight. Wow so nice!!!

Truly Shanell: My favorite part is rinsing out the relaxer ☺️. I’m going back relaxed soon. I get so many single strand knots due to having kinky curly hair. & I rarely wear my natural hair out. It’s all about preference ♥️

Tiffany Johnson: I just started back getting relaxers and I don’t regret my decision at all. I don’t miss those long hours washing and detangling my hair.

Char Johnson: Going natural can be tiresome, for some women. Especially, if you have thick hair! So, I understand this lady's decision! Black people run going natural in the ground !

Love: Beautiful! Please do not forget to do a relax hair journey because relaxed hair is prone to dropping or falling out of not well taken care of,but once well taken care of it can thrive and be very healthy as well as long

I. Mkwanazi: It’s the health and the length for me chile ‍♀️

Dothodzo Masole: That's massive growth in two years My hair is also two years and it's 22 cm long.. I'll be relaxing it in a few days

Shamyra Chacon: He did such a good job!! You’re hair looks gorgeous and full

Mahlatsana Ledwaba: The way your hairdresser is soo patient with your hair. It's soo amazing

Datchme Blessed: Haha I love ur intro I recently just relaxed my hair after being natural for 5 years. I am currently 15 weeks post relaxer and you have officially tempted me to relax my hair so I can upload my results lol. But guuuurl your hair looks sooo good. Welcome to the relaxed hair club ✨✨✨

Michelle Grobbelaar: Your hair is so beautiful. Personally I won’t go back to relaxers but yoh I had the most beautiful relaxed hair. To the point where some asked me if I wore weave. It was nice long and healthy until grade 12 when it got damaged lol. One thing I like about relaxers is that there is more education on how to relax your hair and take care of it. It won’t be painful like it was growing up.

Erin Lewis: I relaxed my hair after about 10 years natural and I love it!!

Yasmim Mym: Amei o resultado Isso que é profissional❤

Mrs. Brown Eyes: A lot of us naturals have turn back to relaxed hair. I most definitely enjoy being one of those ladies. We have embraced the different textures and I think that was good while it lasted. And have learned how to take care of our hair. Now we can experience with our other texture smooth, sleek, shiny, and most of all HEALTHY! Congrats to us All still natural and relaxed!!

Lyanne Matheta: OMG, you really did it! looks beautiful.

teesa harris: Black women and girls should be able to do whatever they want to, It's their hair and the world says nothing about it but how good it looks.

Emelda Njiki: Do what makes you happy girl

Samantha Hdez: I relaxed for 10 years and struggle with hair growth so I stop relaxing and I have been 9 years natural ( still straight hair cuz I just love it ) however, this person who style did AN AMAAAAZIIIING JOB! And if I was still getting relaxer would of wanted someone like this to do it. Ps. This video was so relaxing ✨

SheRea DelSol: LMAO!! The intro!

molls: goals, for those scared of relaxers try brazillian treatment or keratin treatment as an option. however brazillian works better on 4c hair it will give you the straightness without having to worry about the harshness that comes with relaxers. I do it once a year depending with your hair and how you want it to look it can last 4-6 months I wait 6 months and put my hair in a protective style for the remaining 6 then treat again. It's the best decision I ever made. It can be pricey to do the treatment but definitely worth it. else get your hairdresser to do home visits that way you skip paying the salon prices.

Kayla: I'm going to use all my natural hair products up first then go back to relaxers, I've been natural(big chopped as well) for a little over 2yrs too and it's too stressful now because my hair is your length. I feel like I'm constantly detangling. Thanks for sharing.

Endless Chapters: I miss the way it feels to have a comb glide through my hair like that. Especially after a wash and condition!

Katia Délivrance: It was so relaxing ❤ I pray that the future generations learn to embrace their natural hair Our hair is BEAU-TI-FUL.

Reitumetse Mnguni: Your hair Thank you for sharing this process with us.

Kimberly S: I love how she even took care of your natural hair before relaxing it

ketia hicks: i want to relax my hair soo bad and i think i will soon :D ur hair looks amazing!! love it <3

Elizabeth Kamau: Your hair is beautiful. All that growth for 2 years? Just wow

MRRMS116: I'm looking to do something different with my hair too. I have a 2 year old and a 9 month old and they keep me too busy to be fooling around with my thick, long natural hair I was thinking of cutting it into a twa but seeing your video I may try the relaxer route. I love the way your stylist put the relaxer on your ends first then went to the roots last. I've never seen this method, but it totally makes sense since there is a limited amount of time the relaxer should be on the scalp. If I go this route I hope I can find someone who is willing and able to do it right like yours. Thank you for sharing! And yes, please share tips on how to care for your relaxed hair

Abena Agyeiwaa: The hair dresser did do a really good job. I noticed how she started from the ends working upwards. I just relaxed my extremely nappy 4c natural hair with the ends of my hair partially done and the roots to mid length completely relaxed! I'm wondering what I'm going to do the next time I get it done...

Seipati: Tsego I am so proud of you..u inspire me girl!

Sunshine Bill: Beautiful hair , long ,healthy and strong. And your hairdresser was amazing and gentle with your hair

REBECCA NDHLOVU: Hi Tshego. I’m natural too for over four years from South Africa. I want to relax and I noticed how gentle this stylist is. Do you mind sending me his salon name and address?

Mosleen Williams: You have beautiful healthy hair ❤️ can't wait for part 2.

lindy k: You have beautiful and healthy hair. Your hairdresser knows how to handle natural hair. I've been natural for 9 years and don't have the guts yet to relax my hair.

nwabisa bambiso: You so gorgeous Tshego, your hair is just wow so rich and healthy❤

Arielle C: LOVE this application. He killed it! if I ever go back to relaxers, imma have to find him lol

D B: So so tempted to go back to relaxers myself. I was however always prone to scalp burn and really don’t want to experience that again

Cshell 200: Please don't tempt me! I've been natural for 2 years after years relaxed. While I enjoy learning my natural hair the convenience of relaxed is drawing me in!

iamjoy: The person did a great job and your hair is gorgeous♥️.i personally would not not go back to relaxers because they burn too much and i dont know how to care of it so i just grew it out and locd it up.guess you have to jus do what works for you.

Shara Simmons: Gorgeous either way! Thoroughly enjoyed

TransitioningBeauty: I love that she had her own blueprint of where to put the relaxer + how long + which section AND edges at the very last moment NEVER SEEN THIS METHOD

Barbara Ossai: Thinking of relaxing ny 4c hair because of lice and its the most painful thing because I cried for 1 week straight and just broke down every second when I found out I had lice, I'm literally watching your video and I'm weeping cos it's so beautiful and I've never relaxed my hair and this is just so heartbreaking for me and I just hope i find the courage to walk into a salon without crying or breaking down

Ria Paul: She did an amazing job

That Girl Vana: I’m about to relax my hair again tomorrow I’ve been looking for relaxed hair channels for motivation

Khangwelo M: I never expected this at all when you said you have an announcement! Your hair still is 100

Tsholofelo Mofokeng: Still shocked i had to come see this when i saw your announcement on instagram bathong but your hair still so beautiful and healthy love it sis!!!!

Shakera Green: He’s definitely a master stylist

Blackgirlproblems : Looks beautiful ❤️

Faith K2: Your hair looks beautiful

Gomolemo Moloto: Your hair is soooooo BEAUTIFUL

olerato makoe: Such a great decision!! ☺️

Kizzy K: Looks great! Would love an update.

yanda B: Your hair still gorgeous ❤️

lightning wolf: I've noticed so many are going back to relaxing or texlax. The natural hair community can be brutal but you just do what is best for you

Zahra Lamin: But your hair was the perfect canvas for relaxing, thick, healthy and strong! I’m natural and want to go back to relaxing but my hair is currently damaged and fine so I’m going to make one last effort and nurse it back to health but after that I’m done because I don’t have a life outside this hair

154angel154: Your hair, Your Way!!! Beautiful!

paulina me: You made me want to relax my hair

Mirah S.: Also looking at your hair wet, it seems to be underprocessed. There are 2 different textures. Welcome to the relaxed community !❤️

Reesie A: Love the video, but a certified hairdresser knows to NEVER to start the relaxer from the ends. The ends is the oldest part of your hair. You go from root to tip. Just a quick hair tip for anyone that’s watching!

Nkosazana Ndlovu: Your hair looks amazing do you mind sharing your hairdressers details, they did such an amazing job

Lakeyia Douglas: I would never do a relaxer again to my 4c hair. But they did a good job on yours

Celiwe Mabaso: 8 years natural and 2 big chops in I must say I am very tempted to relax my hair

0tismadaline: You have such gorgeous hair dear and l love the result, welcome to the relaxed hair journey

Boitumelo Mogapi: I was never expecting that ey ❤️but you look gorgeous ❤️ saw your reel on instagram

Dee: I don’t think it’s always about not accepting one’s hair. Natural hair can actually be time consuming. Not always easily manageable. For me, natural hair is high maintenance and not everybody has the means to have their hair done by a professional every single time hence it becomes very time consuming if you add it to other tasks. I felt bad and went natural since 2019 because of the narrative that I don’t appreciate the 4c hair that God has blessed me with but I realized that this couldn’t be further from my truth. The reality is, I just don’t have the luxury of time to dedicate to loving on my natural hair even though I would have loved too. Now I’m going back to the perm ‍♀️☺️ if all fails, I’ll chop it off and restart all over

Hilary Masaraure: hey girl, love the results, which relaxer did you use?

Melonie Ndebele: I say each to their own but I wept for your natural hair. It was genuinely nice

Ntsako Khosa: After seeing the instagram post I came to YT running and for reason could not find the video I love this content! You have beautiful hair ❤️. Isn’t it amazing though that our hair is soo versatile

Kamo Omonslay: You had such healthy natural hair . Please sleep let us know which relaxer was used.

Cece Princess: I'm natural and will always stay natural. Perms broke my hair completely off

Renee Bruce: Relax my hair yesterday after 8 years I'm happy

Sandian BC: This was really nice

Sizah Shusha: Hey which relaxer did you use? BTW your hair is absolutely gorge ❤️

Lerato Phake: Beautiful hair

Beanies At The Beach: Your hairstylist did an excellent job, most of them will over-process your hair

londie: Which relaxer did you relax your hair with?

shardae joseph: The way he combed your hair made me nervous. Your hair looks beautiful ❤️❤️

Winnie Ramaphosa: I somehow knew you were going miss realxed hair, I tried going natural but quickly went back to relaxed hair, it's more manageable

lifewithshanicetv: Your hair look so beautiful

Nombulelo B Mini-Matsio: Where did you have your relaxer done? It was done so beautifully

Mulweli Machidze: I really doubt you can grow your hair that long & healthy without going natural for like 4-5 yrs.

Nadia Paul: OMG she started at the end first. The most fragile part. I’m not a specialist but I have been relaxing for over 20 years they always start from root to the end .But everyone is different.Wouldn’t let her touch my hair I have fine strands. So it’s a no for me.The root is the most rebellious part.

Modiki Ramaisa: Amazing hair wow

Winnie Ramaphosa: A woman's hair is her glory and covering

Joy Okere: Haha I'm 14years relaxed... Now transitioning because I'm tired of the chemicals... Everything has its limits really... Relexed hair is nice to have until your hair starts breaking and thinning out beyond repair... Although I'm among the lucky few blessed by nature with some good hair, still doesn't repel the fact that my hair is damaged after all its been through with relaxers et al. Still I wish you all the very best in this journey sister...

Amanda Makade: Beautiful sis

Halima: Which relaxer did they use on you please? And how many times a year do you plan on relaxing it.

Nondumiso Mhlongo: Lol this is such a Tshego day, this morning I was rewatching your blow drying video

Dikeledi Phahlake: Part 2 urgently pleasssssssseeeeee

Hair, Health & Fashion: Your hair came out beautiful! Did she use a lye or no lye relaxer?
