All right, you guys hi welcome back to my channel, it's your girl, alyssa and today we're going to get into how i mow my hair, quick mode to show you what i use and just like kind of just do when i'm not curling it. So i'm starting out with this, it's a 10 leave-in conditioner. I really like this. I feel like a lot of stylists use this brand, so i gravitated towards it. It works for me, i get it from ulta um and i used to just like to rub it around rub it in, because you know we bought your girl, so we ain't got ta. Do too much, then i'd like to go in with an oil. This is the mizani oil i'll, have everything linked down below, but i like to rub it in and then we can comb it through. Okay, coming it through just make sure that the product is evenly distributed and we're also going to like kind of start, our molding right now, i'm combing it in the direction that i wanted to go just to make it easier. When we add our phone, you know it's already kind of halfway done. Okay, so today the foam that i will be using is from influence. It'S the almond foam. Now this foam, you can't really get at the store. I have purchased it from a beautician. Most beauticians use this when you go get your hair done. If you have a pixie, but it's kind of hard to get to unless you have a cool beautician, that's selling it because some beauticians don't want to see other products because clearly that's why people go and pay. So i do have a video coming up of using another foam that really does a great job and it's accessible everywhere. You can buy it online, so stay tuned for that. But here i'm just applying the foam in the same way that we have our um mold and now we're just going to comb it through. So one thing that i've learned with doing these pixies because you know i'm new to the pixie, i'm doing better with it. I'M new to the relaxed life, the perm life, but i have been enjoying it in this video. My hair is kind of long to me. I like it to be really short because i've been in the gym and it's just easier to maintain when it's really short, when it's really long, it's hard to just wear a mold, because it's just like so you get all that hair molded down girl, you're, not Gon na curl that that's how i kind of look but anyway, when you want a really flat slick mode, you need to comb and follow with the hand you see, i'm combing and i'm following with my hand, because that is what making it stick down and stay Flat, you can't just comb it, you got ta, follow with that hand, okay, so that's what we're using both of our hands, making sure everything is where it needs to be. I just get everything situated and then i go ahead and try to start doing some waves. Once again, i do have videos lined up for y'all, i'm so excited. So i do have a video showing y'all high um finger wave. I have gotten so much better at that, so i'm excited to share that with you, but this would be a mode with just a little loop in the front because with the short pixie you can do this and it looks good. It looks like your hair is done, so that's what we're going to do here, i'm just going to let you keep watching and i'll jump in when i need to say something: i'm just adding a little bit more foam and you can see we get it really. Really flat because when i'm wearing just the mo, it needs to be really flat and then we're going to go in and kind of style the front. So this is a real flat mode. Now we're going to try to style the front, and it's just going to be a few like swoops. Like i mentioned, my hair is real long in this video. I didn't even know to like realize that i probably did, but you know now, i'm i probably filmed this a while ago, y'all and now i'm editing it on august 3rd. This is probably like from june. If i'm be honest, but don't judge me whoa, so i do one swoop and i hold my hand there and the key to getting it flat and keeping it is using that rat tail and flattening it out like. I just did because i feel like when you try to do a swoop or a finger wave, you kind of get it to where it needs to be, and you don't want to touch an emo just flatten it out, and it's going to stay how it needs To stay i'll do a video when i do my finger ways to talk more through that, but you just do a little swoop flatten it out, and then we gon na swoop again - and i just take my comb and kind of do a c motion. That'S really all i'm doing, but it's important to make sure you're moving the hair, like you, comb through the hair comb it down and then swoop, because if you just swoop in all of all the hairs ain't uniform, you know what i mean. I hope that makes sense and you see i'm taking the rat tail and flattening it down, because we won't. I personally want my hair flat. I don't need to blow it in the wind. We don't need no body, no volume on the pixie, so i'm just going to do the same thing to the other side: asimo foam. If you need to just add it, this foam stuff, it's per you know you can bat this in bulk, because if you join your hair at home, frequently you're going to use a lot of foam, you need to use a good amount. It is not like grease. You need to use it on up and, as you can see, i keep having to redo it just keep on starting over. It is not a big deal. Okay, so at this moment i had decided to put a part right here. Sometimes i do a part. Sometimes i don't, but sometimes especially when you're a beginner like me, a part can really help, because if you don't have a part, you have to get all of it flat and laid correctly and make it look nice and not like a toupee. If that makes sense. So i actually feel, like the part, helped it look better anyway, at least on this style for today. So now, i'm just going to style this side and we're going to take our comb and kind of just comb it through and swirl it. Now i'm just gon na flatten it back down. Okay kind of just like got ta, commit to it and then use the comb to flatten it out and honestly girl. Sometimes i curl the sideburns. Sometimes i just keep them straight. It depends on the length because i honestly get my sideburns cut down a bit too, because you know i mean like i mentioned, i, like short hair. So that's just me. Some people love the sideburns grill. It does add a lot of flavor a lot of flair to your hair when you have the pixies, so definitely go crazy with the sad burns. If that's what you like, swirl them twist them loop them listen! So now we back on this side. Like i say it's all about starting over and just redoing it, the foam keeps the hair, nice and moist. You don't have to re-wet your hair or nothing if it gets a little hard to manage, just ask them a phone. Are we gon na do the big swoop in the front and just do the same thing you guys can watch make sure you comment down below. Let me know if you have any questions so happy to be posting and showing y'all me. I'M still around make sure you add me on instagram at chic, marie always happy to connect with all of my subscribers and yeah. You see here, i'm trying to see what did i do. Did this sad burn and what do i need to do to this? One? To make a match and flatten it on out um and if you guys have pixies or have a short haircut and it's relaxed or true whatever comment down below and let me know what foam do you love? Okay, because the foam is the most important part of this hairstyle, so this is basically the final mold. This is how i'm going to wear it. I kind of needed relax in here, especially in the back, especially when the back is real short but we're rolling with it. I take my black neck strips or we call them neck strips. I put them around my whole head because i don't have time to play. You saw how much work i just did to get the mold together this this baby's gon na get tad down, and it's going to dry. I do one like wrapped around, as you saw. I don't tie that first one and now i tie this one, and i just twist i remember when i used to like try to put these on. I used to be trying to tad in the night tight about getting a headache. You don't have to do all that. I learned that, probably from watching the video just looking at beauticians, i don't know all you got. Ta do is twist these things. They'Re gon na stay right in place, and it's very simple: i'm going to do this and then i'm going to go and sit under the dryer. I will have my hooded dryer linked below. I did get it from amazon. It works perfectly. It comes out perfectly. I think it's very important if you have a pixie to have a hooded dryer at home for sure, and this you guys is the final mode. It'S nice and dry. I usually just add some oil. This oil here is from beautiful, blended, it's called their currency. Oil is a black owned company, it's actually the lady who used to braid my hair when i was in chicago, and i love the oil so much. I love the smell so much i bought some, so i can have it for this pixie, because your pixie can be oily girl because, like i said it needs to just be flat and it needs to lay and it needs to be shiny. It does not need to be bouncing, so we can have a lot of oil and try to avoid having dry hair. So this is the final look. I hope you guys enjoy this quick little video showing you how i just do my hair between hairstyles. Thank you guys so much for watching make sure you give this video a thumbs up. Like i mentioned comment down below any questions, and i see you on my next video
