Hey guys welcome back to my channel, it's Nikki, so for today's video, I'm gon na be showing you guys how I get my chunky, braids look and it's so quick and easy to do and you won't lose your edges right right. So what I use is the expressions one be braiding hair and I only use two packs for this. Look if you want longer hair you're gon na need a lot more packs, but two packs is enough for me and it's really inexpensive. So you know two taxes enough and I'm gon na need some scissors clips and some hair tools so to moisturize my hair, I'm going to be using the ritual, afro hair care, leave-in conditioner - and this is from the Dominican Republic. So I don't really know if you can actually get it in the UK or the US, but yeah and I'm also gon na, be using my as I am a hair butter and my avocado oil, because I really really want my hair to be moisturize and I'm Also gon na be using eco styler gel. If you don't like it, so you can started to do not use it. So basically, I washed my hair last night and I left my hair in a towel and a head wrap so yeah. That'S why my hair looks like this, but this is how I usually start off my hairstyles cuz. I want to start off on clean hair because I'm about to put like a bunch of products on it so yeah. This is what my hair looks like right now and what I'm gon na do off. Camera is part off most of my hair, so you know we're not sitting here for ages. So it's what my hair looks like so moisturizer on one half I put in my leave-in conditioner on my hair, but I'm avocados oil and my hair bands, so yeah, I'm just gon na start on the next side. So what I'm gon na do is apply in my leave-in conditioner on my hair butter and my oil. You can use like any type of hair, grease or whatever. If you want to I'm sure it won't do any harm, but you really want to make sure your hair is moisturize, because you're gon na probably even leave the hair style in your hair for about 3 weeks. So yeah make sure your hair is super moisturized, because expressions is quite drying on the hair, as you guys can see, I'm actually quite heavy handed with products. I'M not shy at all when it comes to these products, because I know it they're gon na moisturize, my hair for a long amount of time. So yeah don't be shy with the products. Just you know slap it all on. If you want to find any of these products, the link will be in the description bar below we guys can find it so yeah, and then I'm gon na make sure that I use my Tangle Teezer to detangle my hair thoroughly, even though I did do it In the shower, but yeah I just want to make sure my hair is thoroughly detangled. Before I put the braiding hair on cuz, your hair can get a bit tangled inside it and then I'm just gon na smooth down the roots of my hair. With my slick brush, just so there's no bumps and lumps inside it so hold the hair. I like to use hair bands instead of rubber bands. I find it's a lot more safer than rubber bands to use this when you're using things like expressions because the head I'm using, is quite heavy. I don't want to lose any of my hair and when I do take it out, it's a lot easier for me to take it out because it just slides off so yeah. You can use rubber bands if you want, but hair bands are a lot safer. I'M just gon na repeat that on the rest of my hair, when I feel like there's a little bit too tired, I like to get my rat tail comb and kind of like dig it into the hair bands, so that it's not too tight and it's not Pulling on my hair before I've even put the braid on so this is what my hair is looking like. So far, it's all in its sections. I'Ve got five twists on each side and yeah, I'm just ready to pinking that I usually do leave my hair like this. Sometimes you guys know this already, but we're not doing that today we're going to be putting braids so now to get the most out of our braiding hair, we're going to cut it in half and begin to frayed them. You do not need to cut the hair in half if you want extra long hair, but I don't want my hair that long and plus you'd need, like ten packs to do this hairstyle. If you was to get your hair, that long and yeah we're just gon na basically fray the ends, because we do not want blunt ends, I've seen a lot of girls have blunt ends and blunt ends. If not the work so yeah you wan na frayed the ends my mom was even telling me like, don't be shy, make sure you're pulling on the ends, because, if you do not, you can get really tangled so make sure you do this with care. Just take your time, let you got the whole day to do this, so yeah fray the ends, and it should look something like this at the end. So now is where the actual hair starts to begin, so, basically you're going to get like a medium sized piece. However, thick your hair is that's how much you probably need and then you're gon na split that in half again and put one half on top of the other half and you're going to connect that to your hair and start braiding. I don't know how to explain how to attach expressions onto your hair because yeah I'm not that skilled, but there's tons of tutorials online, I'm basically just attaching one of the pieces with another piece and I'm just gon na braid. There make sure you go smoothing your hair down as you go along. If you has a lot kinkier than mine probably use some gel along with the hair and yeah just take your time, because if you don't take your time, your hair will get not II, think it frustrated. And then you probably need to cut the hair out. So yeah just take your time with this. It doesn't take a long time to do, but just make sure you take the time you get me for the ends of the hair. I just leave them alone because later on, I'm going to put rubber bands on the ends and snip off the excess hair that I do not need and yeah I'm just gon na, basically repeat that throughout all of my sections just make sure you are Sweeting the Hair as you go along, I'm not the best braid, as you guys can see. This is actually my second time doing the hairstyle, but I usually do like twists or whatever in my hair but yeah. This is how they look and it's how long they are so literally, you can't get long hair out of this. The way you get it longer is by praying the ends like pulling on them. A lot. That'S how you make them longer. You don't need to make them extra long with longer hair. So that's what I'm gon na do is apply. My gel onto my edges just to smooth everything down. You don't have to do this part, but I like to do it. I think it puts the head together and what I'm gon na do next after is Duncan my hair in some hot water. So I didn't show that part, because it's quite dangerous - and I didn't want to risk my life for tutorial so yeah. This is going to be fun so yeah. This is the final look guys. I hope you liked the video. If you did like it, please give it a thumbs up, and let me know if you guys actually do this hairstyle and I'll see you guys in my next video bye,
