Hey Curl Friends! In today’s video I’ll be showing you how to make a cloves & rosemary infused leave-in conditioner. This simple DIY enhances your leave-in by providing added benefits to your hair such as: promoting hair growth and reducing hair fall. Cloves have been used in ancient Chinese and Indian medicine for ages. They have immense benefits for your hair and general health.

Cloves contain high levels of antioxidants and nutrients that can help improve hair growth and strength.

INSIGHTS:

CLOVES: It aids in hair thinning and hair fall and in turn thickens hair. It helps with various scalp issues such as reducing scalp infection and dandruff (also due to its anti-inflammatory properties). It is loaded with antioxidants to increase circulation in the scalp, and protect the hair from oxidative damage which in turn work to stimulate healthy hair growth.

Cloves contain a variety of useful compounds, but its main active ingredient is a chemical known as “eugenol.” Eugenol is credited with potent antimicrobial, antiseptic, and anti-inflammatory properties.

Moreover, cloves are rich in a number of nutrients required for hair growth, including potassium, sodium, omega-3 fatty acids, iron, manganese, vitamins K and C, iodine, and fiber.

Finally, cloves curb hair loss, premature greying, and cleans and soothes the scalp.

ROSEMARY: It stimulates hair growth by dilating the blood vessels and promoting cell division in the scalp, thus delivering the nutrients and oxygen needed for follicles to grow.

GRAPESEED OIL: It is an antioxidant ingredient, moisturizer

MAIN BENEFITS: Adds shine, fights frizz, lightweight

WHO SHOULD USE IT: Grapeseed oil is beneficial for most hair types and is a great option for those with fine hair.

HOW OFTEN CAN YOU USE IT: Daily if you have thick, coarse hair. For those with fine hair, one to two times a week is best.

Hey curlfriends, welcome or welcome back to my channel proudmane, it's your girl, avla, your loyal curlfriend and in today's video, i'm gon na be showing you how to make a diy, cloves and rosemary infused leave-in conditioner. As you know, cloves has been used in ancient chinese and indian medicine for ages and they have immense benefits for your hair and general health, so stay tuned. If you want to know how to make this diy conditioner, so the first ingredient is none other than cloves, and this is a powerhouse spice. It aids in hair, thinning and hair fall, and it's supposed to thicken your hair. So if you do have fine low density hair, this is perfect for you um. If you have shedding dandruff scalp infection inflammation. Those kind of things clove is really good for treating those issues. Then we have rosemary, which is another powerhouse ingredient. This is used for its antioxidant benefits and anti-inflammation and bringing blood circulation to your scalp. It also fights against baldness and hair loss and can even help with alopecia. Our third ingredient is grapeseed oil, which is also an antioxidant ingredient and a moisturizer. It adds shine, fights frizz and it's lightweight. So if you have fine hair, this is perfect for you. If you have coarser hair, you just have to use it more often. So now i'm just going to get the cloves and i'm going to pour it into a blender. If you want, you can use a grinder, but i don't have one. So this is what we're going to use. You add your rosemary and then i'm going to add my grape seed. You can definitely eyeball this. I think i'm using about a third of a cup here. There are no strict measurements for this. So definitely you can eyeball this. If you want to make a larger batch, obviously use more oils um, so yeah, i'm just gon na blend this, and basically i'm just trying to pulverize the ingredients so that um it releases its benefits into the oils. I find that this way is another method of infusing the oils. This is like the cold pressed way and i'm just blending this until it's at a consistency that i like again, you can use your grinder and get it into powder form, but i don't honestly think this is absolutely necessary for what i'm trying to do right now. So this is perfectly fine, so you can already see the rosemary in the cloves has been broken down significantly into the oil. So this is exactly what i was looking for. So i'm just going to pour this in a separate container, i'm going to scrape out all the contents. We don't want to waste anything and then we're going to do a second infusion method that you're all familiar with if you've been following me for a minute. So this is what the oil is looking like. This is the consistency and you can see that the ingredients are broken down: um, they're, not powder form or super fine, or anything like that, and that's okay. If you want, you can actually strain the oil and then use it as a leave-in. You can use it as a hot oil treatment and proceed that way or you can store it as is right now, and let it infuse further for a few weeks or if you like, you can use the double boiler method, which is what i'm going to do, Because i want to use this immediately, so i heat up my pan with a little bit of water and then i just put the container with the mixture in there, and i just leave this on low heat for about 15 to 20 minutes, and i stir it Occasionally it doesn't get too hot or anything like that. You'Re not cooking. This you're not boiling this, so yeah, i'm just keeping an eye on it and stirring it occasionally and again we're not trying to cook this. We want to preserve some of the benefits, so we're not keeping it on the heat for too long. So it's been about 15 minutes, and this is what the oil is. Looking like, you can see that it's really loose like it's loosened up. It'S infusing nicely, so i'm preparing to take this off the heat right now just want to show you guys what that look like, and this is it after it's cooled down for like 45 minutes, you can see that the oil has changed colors. So now i'm going to extract the oil i'm using a pantyhose to do this. You can use a cheesecloth or whatever you have on hand, you can use even use a strainer, especially if it's not in powder form that'll be a really good way to extract the oil and i'm just squeezing it out just squeeze squeeze squeeze get all that goodness Out you don't want to waste anything and you can see the color of the oil, and this is the trash that's left behind and if it was powder form, you could definitely make it into a paste and apply it to your hair that way and yeah. This is the oil that you have left so now we're going to move on to making the actual leave-in i'm using my african pride leave-in with coconut oil and baobab, and then i'm also using the carol's daughter, cocoa cream. This is a styling cream and it's a bit of a thicker consistency. So i thought it'd be nice to mix the two, because i'm also going to be using this for my daughter's hair and her hair is a little bit kinkier than mine and requires a more dense product. So i'm going to be adding little by little. The oil um that we just extracted and then i'm going to whisk this together. So as you can see, it's looking a little fluffy and i'm incorporating both the ingredients, and this is a really simple diy - you're, not making the conditioner from scratch or anything like that. You'Re just adding to it and enhancing it. So that's what this diy is because not everybody has you know, ingredients to make conditioners and you know doing that oil phase and then the water phase and then putting all these things together. So this is just the faster way to do all of that, so i'm just whisking it in until i get the consistency that i like and then i'm going to transfer it to a container that i can use to apply to my hair later on. So once i've done that this is what it looks like i'm just stirring it in with a popsicle stick, but you can see that's super creamy and it actually has some slip to it and it smells amazing. I can't even tell you this aroma. This combination is everything so now, i'm about to apply this to freshly washed hair that i did off camera. So my hair has no products in it right now, freshly washed and i'm going to apply this. So here is our mixture that we just created and i'm going to apply it generously to my hair, i'm just going to rake it through. I don't like to section my hair when i apply products only because i find that i tend to overuse the product, so i prefer to just rake it in gradually and i'm focusing on the back of my hair, because that's the section that gets most dry and Most tangled, so i apply more to that section. So yeah, i'm just raking it in and detangling at the same time using my fingers and you can see that it applies really smoothly, really easy. It has slip to it and you can use any leave-in conditioner that you like you, can use any off-brand generic anything. The possibilities are endless. You can also use your styling creams, of course, like you saw previously. So this is what it looks like when i've completed one side of my head and i'm just showing you the difference between the two and you can see. It just looks super hydrated and moisturized, which is perfect exactly what we're going for. So i'm just gon na do the same thing to the other side, just gon na rake it in break it in and i'm not adding anything else to my hair. Just this leave-in, because again you have the leave-in conditioner a styling cream and you have oils. So this eliminates that lco method - it's just like a one, a one product thing in the end, all you would have to do is add gel or a curling custard, if you like, but again, i'm not doing that, because i want you guys to see what it Looks like so yeah i went ahead and diffused my hair off camera. I have videos on that, so you guys can check to see how i do that. But these are the results. It'S what it looks like super bouncy juicy, curls hydrated, it's so um, moisturized and fluffy, and pillow, soft and yeah. Of course, i'm loving it so yeah, don't forget to like comment subscribe. If you enjoyed this video or if you learned something if you found it informative, please share and i'll see you in another one bye,

Ironkitten1881: I will make this today!!! I love everything about it! I can’t ask for anything more from a leave-in conditioner. It will thicken, soften, help my shedding and prevent hair fall!! Yas!!! Thank you!

Cece Cepeda: Thank you so much for this recipe! It's been a few weeks and my hair loves it! No more extra products in my hair, yay! I noticed less breakage and curls are less frizzy!

BuddahFully Zen: Cloves Rosemary Grapeseed Oil Eyeball ingredients and blend all ingredients. After, you can use this as a hot oil treatment. Place in a separate glass container for double boiler method. Place on low heat for about 15 minutes. Cool down. Extract the oil. Use a cheesecloth, panty hose, or whatever you have on hand. Add to your favorite leave in conditioner. Feel free to add more than one. After it’s blended together, add to a container and that’s it!

Iowa Sunshine: My favorite thing to do to my curly hair is to add alcohol free lavender/cucumber/coconut water/ rose petal witch hazel with my essential oils in water and that makes my curls amazing with out weighing anything down! And my hair is super baby fine yet frizzy as hell naturally so it’s perfect.

ElNo's World: You are such a pretty little lady I’m so glad you’re sharing these things with people I want to say as a mature woman who’s been playing with plants for a very long time don’t forget what you put on IS also what you should put IN so try to use these ingredients internally as well you can make a tea out of them and drink them although some people might not like that idea you could take rosemary and add it to a broth that you make at home you can use the cloves as a tea it actually is very very pleasant it can be very strong so you don’t need to use a whole bunch if you make a good amount keep it in the fridge you can add it to other teas as well you’ll figure it out as you go forward on your journey which pairs well with which

Conqueror MaJGo: Great content Sis!! Thank you!! To ensure full usage of both herbs....after straining, boil them for 5 mins strain off the water & let cool, use as a rinse. I try not to waste Anything.

Joy Kassem: Can I substitute the grapeseed oil with any other oil say Shea oil, coconut oil etc?

Anika C: Thank you for sharing your recipe and process. I did notice one thing I thought might be useful. Your double boiling approach is a bit off. A proper double boiler does not allow the vessel holding your ingredients to touch the bottom of the pot. The vessel is suspended in the simmering water. If the bottom touches, the ingredients are being cooked at far higher heat. You obviously getting good results with the outcome of your process, but for more sensitive ingredients, you just need a vessel that is bigger than the opening of the pot. So that it only touches the washer, and not the bottom of the cooking pot. Hope this is useful.

ElegantPaws01: Love your practical and effective diys.
