How To Make Long Bonnet For Braids/Dreads/Diy. No Elastic/Two In One.

Hello, everyone welcome back to my channel, so in today's tutorial i will be learning how to cut and sew this long hair bonnet for your braids, your dread. You can use it for your braid and for your dread. So, let's get started so the measurement we'll be working with is the length of the of our fabric is 30 inches by 40 inches, the wideness is 14 inches. The length is 30 inches. The fabric is on fold, as you can see is unfold. So when you fold it into two, you have 20 inches, so this is my 20 inches. So we look for the midpoint of this 20, which is 10, so we mark our 10. This is 10 10 inches. Then, on this part, we look for the midpoint, which is 15 inches, so we'll mark our 50 inches yep, then, on this folded, part to measure our the length of our bonnet, which is 28 inches, plus 1 inches, so in allowance, so everything is 29 inches. So so yeah, it's 28 29, so we have our 28 inches there and our 29 inches. So that is it so the next we'll be doing now is to connect. We connect it from here connect from this 20 29 inches to meet this 15 inches there from the 15 inches. We really use a straight line to connect it to this line. We curve this part then rule here with a straight line, so i'll connect from here. We just created so, as you can see, i'm done fixing the elastic. So i will just secure the two ends with this pin, so that will not go in so the next thing we'll do now is to sew. So now we sew it down like this to where this elastic stops sew. It like this straight down to this part. So i'm done sewing as you can see. This is it so this is the goddess gathered part of the air bonnet. So i've been inserting my band, so i'm using this fabric for the air for the band, it's a scuba fabric, as you can see it's very. It'S a stretchy material, so so the measurement i'm working with is five inches by 22. Inches 22 inches is the head circumference. You see it's very stretchy, so any excess compared. So i'm using 22 inches by five so i'll fold it into two like this. Join it or first of all, join it like this sew it down.
