How To Style Rooted Hair| Reborn Doll Tutorial

Hi everyone and welcome back to another video on my channel today. I want to continue this video series and I'm going to talk about what I do after I cut the hair on my reborn baby. So immediately after I cut the hair, I go ahead and I put some water on the hair. I don't use any product, so no coconut oil, no conditioner, just because um I feel like the hair is already soft enough and it doesn't need any conditioning or any type of special maintenance. So I just go ahead and add water and then once um the hair is wet. I go ahead and I style it with my toothbrush um that I specifically use for my reborn dolls right now. I am removing the hair that was left over during the process of cutting the hair, and now I'm going to go ahead and style. It the way that I want the reborn baby to have its hair. So once I go ahead and I style it to how I like it or how I meant for it to look, I go ahead and I let it air dry. So most of my video is going to be on how I style the hair and which is a bit of a long process and then um. I go ahead and allow the hair to air dry and I will show you guys what the hair looks like after it has aired right so go ahead and allow you guys to watch and I will come right back as I am watching my video. There are some things that I am remembering that I do want to mention to guys, because I've seen it in my previous video, so I did get a question of whether I cut the hair after I seal the hair, meaning after I glue the hair inside of The vinyl head and yes, I do glue the hair as I root, and I also allow the glue to dry before I go ahead and cut the hair. If any of you are wondering the type of hair that I used for this particular baby, I went ahead and I'm trying a new brand of hair. I have a reborn baby by Jacqueline Kramer that has this hair, so I went ahead and I bought some of that hair so that I can try it on my reborn dolls and I absolutely love how my root. It is a Susan, m'angil mohair, and it works really nice for this baby. I really like it and I definitely think I will be using it for future babies. If any of you are wondering why I have decided to style my dolls hair this way, so in other words, why am i brushing the hair a particular way? So before I start rooting, I do map out the hair I'll go ahead and share a link right now, showing you guys how I'm up the hair. This is an older video, so exactly the same way that I map, the hair is exactly the same way that the hair, after I rooted, will lay on the head so the same direction wherever I took the swirl, that is where the actual hair swirl will be Located so that's how I know how I'm going to style the baby's hair you'll see me: do a lot of little kind ends on this baby, and not all my babies get this kind of hairstyle, I'm just because of this particular hair and the particular baby that I'Ve made, I decided to give her little curls, but they don't have to be there. That'S the nice thing about slightly wavy hair is that it can be straight down like the top of her hair, where her um yeah the top of her little head. You see how the hair is more straight, but I'm actually now giving it a bit of a lift but um or you can decide to curl it. It really is up to you so for this baby. I have decided to give it some curly ends and I think it looks so adorable if you guys have seen her photos on Instagram or on Facebook. Then you already know the type of hairstyle that I ended up giving to this baby. You you so now that her hair is dry. I want to go ahead and give you guys a close-up look of what her rooted hair looks like and isn't it gorgeous. I absolutely love Susan at Joel's hair. I feel like it was so easy to root and I root with a 42 G fort needle um, and I just absolutely love the results. So now I'm gon na go ahead and put a hair band on her, and this is a little bit of a challenge because since she her hair is a little bit longer, it tends to the hair band tends to move their hair slightly backwards and it gives It a little bit of a bump or certain hairs that I don't want her to the hair band, get stuck under the hair band. So you're going to see that I use the scissors to pull out some of that hair that I don't want the hair band to be holding on to. That makes any sense. So I love her with a hairband, but I will be removing the hairband um in a future video that I have for you guys prepared um just because it does get a little bit in the way. But I just wanted to share how cute she looks with a with her hair band, but anyway guys. I hope you have enjoyed this video. I really wanted to share how I style the baby's hair after I cut it, because it looks completely different after you style. The hair, compared to right after you cut the doll's hair, it doesn't look as nice, so this is my secret or this is how I do it. While I don't have a beautifully rooted reborn like yours, I do have my behbeh girl who has very fine sparse hair and I totally did this with her lil bit at the back of her head and it worked lol! I used a new toothbrush though haha .I'll have to post a video when I do it again since I gave her like 4 independent curls which is a big deal since everyone thinks she's bald & a boy! :)
