#HowToBraidYourOwnHair #HowToBraidHair #EasyHairstyles

Hey guys welcome back to my Channel today, I'm going to show you how to do a French braid step-by-step and I recently uploaded a how to Dutch braid step by step video, and you guys really seem to like that video. So I thought I would do one for a French braid as well, so I'm going to explain every step from the top of the braid to the bottom of the braid. So if you're not that good at braiding or French braiding, then I'm sure you will be a master baiter after this video. So the first thing you want to do is to brush all your hair, so there's no tangles and that way it's a lot easier to braid your hair. When you have brushed your hair you're going to split your hair into two sections down the back of your head here, we go then take one section and clip that away with a hair, clip or use a hair tie and then tie it up now you want To take a small section of hair in the front, that kind of looks like a triangle like this, and what I mean by a triangle is that you have the pointy side here and then it goes across here. So, like a little triangle - and now I want to sort this section into three equal sections, but you don't want to split it this way. Now you want to take the hair and pull it in the direction you want the braid to go. So I wanted to go to the back of my head, so I'm pulling the hair in that direction and then splitting it into three sections. So now you have a tough strand, a middle strand and a bottom strand I like to start with the top strand, but you can definitely start with the bottom strand as well. You just have to remember to start with the same strand on the other side, so the first thing you want to do is to take the top strand cross, that over and into the middle now that one is the top strand. This is the middle strand, and this one is, he thought of strands then you're going to do the same thing on the other side, so take the bottom strand and cross that over and into the middle. So now this is the top strand, and this is the middle strand, and this is the bottom strand. So now you're started off the braid. So now you have to add in hair - and I hope two ways to add in here. So I'm going to show you both ways and the first way is to take the top strand, grab some hair from the same side and then ask that choose the top strand and then cross that strand over and into the middle. Like that then you're going to do the same thing to the bottom strand so take the bottom strand, grab some hair from the same side and then cross that over and into the middle. So now you just have to continue doing that so take the top strand. Grab some hair from the same side and then cross that over and into the middle then take the bottom strand. Grab some hair from the same side and cross that over and into the middle again take the top strand, grab some hair from the same side and then cross that over and into the middle again take the bottom strands, grab some hair from the same side and Then cross that over and into the middle again take me tough shrimp, grab some hair from the same side and then cross that over and into the middle again take the bottom strand, grab some hair from the same side and cross that over and into the middle Again, take the top strand, grab some hair from the same side and then cross that over and into the middle. So that was one way to add in hair and I'm going to show you another way. So, instead of adding hair before cropping the strand over it into the middle, we're going to add the hair after so take your bottom strand cross it over and into the middle then hold all the strands into one hand, grab some hair from the same side and Add this to the middle strand like that, then take the top strand cross, that over and into the middle hold all the strands into one hand, grab some hair from the same side just to make sure there's no is bunk and then APIs to the middle strand. Then take the bottom strand cross it over and into the middle pull all the strands into one hand, grab some hair from the same side and add that to the middle strand, then take these back around swap it over and into the middle then take some hair From the same side and add that to the middle strand, okay, the bottom strand - plop it over and into the middle then take some hair from the same side and add that to the middle strand then take the top strand cross it over and into the middle. Then grab some hair from the same side and adds up to the middle strand. So now I don't have any more hair to add in so now just going to break the rest of hair like a normal braid and when it gets to the bottom of my hair, I'm just going to take an elastic and secure the hair. So now we just have to do the exact same thing on the other side, but I am still going to show you what I do from the top to the bottom so take out the hair clip or hair tie whatever you use so take a small section Of hair at the front, that kind of looks like a triangle and then split out into three equal sections like that. On the other side, I started with the tough strands, so I'm also going to do that on this side. So take the top strand cross that over and into the middle then take the bottom strand and cross that over and into the middle. So now you have to start adding in hair and again I'm going to show you the two different ways to do that. So the first one was to take the top strand, grab some hair from the same side and add it to the top strand and then cross that over and into the middle then do the same thing on the other side. So take the bottom strands. Grab some hair from the same side and then cross that over and into the middle again say these top straps grab some hair from the same side and then cross that over and into the middle again take the bump grab some hair from the same side and Then cross that over and into the middle then take the top strand, grab some hair from the same side and then cross that over and into the middle it Garrett take the bun strand, grab some hair from the same side and then cross this over and into The middle I'm going to take the top strand, grab some hair from the same side and just smooth it out to there's no bumps and then take this hair and cross it over and into the middle. Again. I take the bottom strand: grab some hair from the same side and then cross this over and into the middle again. Take the top strand, grab some hair from the back and use it out. So there is no bump and then cross this hair over and in the middle. So now I'm going to show you the other way to add in here, where you add it in after instead of before crossing the hair over and into the middle. So take the bottom strand cross that, over and into the middle then hold all the strands into one hand, then grab some hair from the same side and then add that hair into the middle section like that, then take the top strand cross that over and into The middle hold all the strands into one hand, then grab some hair from the back and then cross that over and into the middle section again. Take these bottom strand cross this over and into the middle then take some hair from the same side and add it to the middle section. Then take the top strand cross that, over and into the middle, without compare from the back and add that to the middle strand then take the bottom strand cross it over and into the middle grab. Some hair and add that to the middle strand then take these top strands cross, that over and into the middle and some hair from the back, and now I don't have any more hair to add in so now. I'M just going to break the rest of the hair like a normal braid and again, I'm just going to cure the hair with an elastic. So now that both braids are done, you can start to loosen up the braids in different places. If some places aren't too tight, you can just loosen it up a bit. If you want a really thick and voluminous braid, then just go ahead and pull on the sides of the braid to really sign it out and make it really big. You can also just leave it like this if this is a load you're going for, but I really hope you guys found this video helpful. I really tried my best to explain what I was doing, but it has been hard when my hands are blocking what I'm doing, but I really hope you guys liked this video and found it helpful. If you did, please give the video a thumbs up and remember to subscribe to my channel and follow me on my social medias. I will have all the links down below and then I will see you guys in my next video bye.

EverydayHairInspiration: Learn how to braid for beginners - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bVk0G-TQPEE&list=PLKr1OU5EnX8YbBYmW3kHQwehFHT9FAD7a&index=5

nope q: Honestly, the hardest part for me is just being able to hold the 3 strands of hair without the strands becoming loose

•MangøJøyz•: When it’s 2am and you have the sudden inspiration to become professional hairstylist lmao

Toan Mai: Me: alright let’s get learning 5 mins later Me: alright I give up Edit: I finally did it!

Gabi Limone: For anybody who’s a perfectionist like me: don’t look in the mirror when you do this for the first time. I spent 30 minutes trying and failing in front of a mirror, and then I looked away from the mirror and got it in one try. I was so focused on the way it looked that I was getting myself tripped up in the steps. Focus on mastering the process first, not the result.

Lily T: Why does this look so easy, yet is so hard to actually do!?

Jewelz S.: Me trying to explain to my dad why he found me in the bathroom at 4am with sopping wet half braided hair: ️️

sg: wish my hair didn’t get so knotted easily

Carlie: I’m crying. Why does this gotta be so difficult

J.: Y’all what helped me the most was focusing on her hand movements and how she holds the hair strands. It may not work for everyone but at first i had trouble holding everything and once i tried to do it like her it worked better :)

alabama curly: The hardest part is mastering how to hold the hair in your fingers someone needs to have a really detailed video on this

Em Jackson: Me: I'm going to finally learn how to braid my hair! Her: We start with brushing our hair Me: aaand im out.

Maryam Hassan: ITS BEEN YEARS!! I DECIDED TO GIVE THIS ANOTHER GO AND THIS VIDEO IS ONLY ONE THAT GOT ME THROUGH!!! I JUST DID MY FIRST FRENCH BRAID AND I AM SOO PROUD

Élynn: I have always dreamed of french braiding. Its so pretty, and my friend has a mom that always does them for her. I loved getting my hair done from her, and i dont actually see her a lot to braid my hair, so i wanted to learn myself. After spending like 2 hours on this, i did it. My tips are to keep tugging, don't let anything too loose. Wet hair helps. And my main struggle was taking way too big chunks to bring into the strands, so take very small pieces, it helps. Thanks sooo much for this video! Only person that has ever gotten me to learn! <3

Alex: I’ve been wanting to learn how to do this for so long and I finally convinced my little sister to let me braid her hair tutorial was much needed

glitterslimes: who else got so frustrated that they started to cry

Bish_ Teaa: Me: this looks easy! My brain: omggg this is so easy My eyes: I love this I can do it! My hands: uuuummm.... *fails miserably*

Xuxa Hernandez: Ok we just gonna ignore the fact that this lady's hair is STUNNING

Jasmine Mendoza: I've been trying to learn how to do french braids since i was 9 and im about to turn 16 and tonight i just achieved my first french braid and i am so proud of myself , this video made it quite easy. Thank you <3

Sophia Doerr: Me personally has always had trouble with French braiding or just braiding in general but after watching this video I was able to finally do it. Yes, my hand placement was all over the place and could use a bit of work but overall it helped me so much.

J.: No one: Absolutely no one: Me watching this to learn at 2am because one of my thoughts while overthinking instead of sleeping was that i always wanted to learn how to do these and still never have

Kimara3_3: Tip: if you're struggling separating the strands of hair I found out that applying karite oil or any kind of cream to moisturize hair before doing this helps A LOT. I wasn't able to do it at all because my hair just wouldn't separate and with this I finally made it hope it helps some struggling beautiful girl out here. Stay safe everyone!

Tacha Hatena: Loved this tutorial! I know mine is messy right now, but after a few tries I know I'll get it someday! Thank you so much! :D

Angela Androshchuk: OMG! I’m 26 years old and you have taught me how to French braid on my first try. How many past failed attempts. Omg thank you!!! You’re amazing!!

Oodles of Doodle: Here, here's a more simple version put out in 5 easy steps: 1) try and rip your hair out by brushing it and "detangling" it 2) get stressed at how your arms are already starting to hurt 3) try and attempt to braid the top of your hair, but let's face it, it's not gonna work and it already feels like your arms are on fire 4) get stressed out about how the so called "braid" isn't exactly how you want it "centered" so you take it out and try again 5) decide that this isn't going to work out so you just give up

lymraina fernandes: I've literally been struggling to learn and master the French braid for eons. I suddenly stumbled upon this video, and learnt it in one go, no kidding. Omg, I'm so happy. Thankyou so much for this tutorial. Love, love, love it. ❤✨

Mcflysavvy: Thank you so, so, so much! My whole life I’ve been telling myself I’ll never be able to do this. I also have really short hair now, so I was thinking there’s no way this is gonna work. Within 3 minutes of your tutorial, I learned how! Such an incredible high right now. You’re an amazing teacher!

Kit Kat: Never attempted a french braid before as I'm useless with hair - after the first method I thought there was no chance! But the second method worked so well for me and first full attempted came out PERFECT, thank you for such an easy to follow tutorial!

Magdalena Piwnicka: This tutorial is great! I managed to create something resembling a french braid already on the third try I’ve been doing the hairstyle everyday since Wednesday and it gets better with every try. I am so happy I finally manged to learn how to french braid

Katie Callan: Her: Easy french braid tutorial for beginners! Me: *Struggles to get hair separated*

Bridget McCreary: this one actually helped me! I watched the first 6 minutes and then practice 3 times and now I’m pretty good!

Mani Peddi: OMG!!! You are a legend!!! I have been trying to do these braids for years and never could! But I watched your video and first time I did them! And perfectly too!!! So Thank-you for your amazing tutorial I'm so happy

Alexandria Soto: I just want to say thank you so much !! It only took me 5 attempts to finally get it and it was because I followed your advice to a tee. It was perfectly explained and done at an easy to follow pace. I’ve tried following other videos but i had no much until I watched yours! Thank you!!!

シTiahシ: "I'm sure you'll be a master after this video" My Bangs: no braids or you mate

fatima xo: seeing the comments and realising im not the only one struggling is such. a. blessing.

K V: Wow I’m 29 years old and have never been able to French braid in my life. I have a daughter now so I decided I’d give it a go. For the first time in my life I did a French braid! And it looks good! Thanks for the video!!! My daughter will love that I can do this now.

Ruby Shah: All these years I've been unable to French braid my hair despite watching numerous tutorials but I have finally found a video that worked! I feel like little details are important such as having the triangle part at the start as it does make all the difference.

stephanie diaz: This was super helpful. I’ve been trying to learn how to do this for a long time. Thank you!

-CRAZY TRIBE RANCH-: This one was the best tutorial I’ve ever watched! With just 5 minutes of watching this I understood the concept perfectly! Thank you!!! One more thing, any tips of how to map the top tighter? Thanks again!

Halibugz: Every time I go see my hair stylist she always does a French braid in my hair and I leave it in for a few days to get it to come out curly. I have an appointment tomorrow and really wanted the curls but my hair was so greasy that I had to wash it so I figured I'd learn how to braid my hair real quick The right side came out pretty good on the first try, the left side took about three tries, but I know with practice I'll get better. Brielle Klaver: My experience attempting to do this: 1) Torn out hair 2) tangled hair 3) realized how greasy my hair is when i tried to part it down the middle 4) I have bangs so the part down the middle looked stupid on me and I realized I'm ugly af 5) My inner frustration mood entered the chat 6) Depression

Gabrielle–Nanci Pierotti: This is the best tutorial I've ever seen for this. Let's see if I can finally french braid my hair later (I still don't have high hopes). I genuinely don't understand how, as someone who's good at every fibre art, I can possibly be so bad at working with my own hair.

Weird Potato is weird?: *looks easy* Me:tries Me again 2 minutes later: crying with a bucket of icecream

Mera G: This was the only video I have found that actually helped me! Yay I can braid now! ♥️

Patrick Mackay: Thank you I can now braid my own hair in only 2.5 hours!!

Jasmine: I never really put my hair up or take time to put a hairstyle together, but I really wanted to try something new! This is my first try, and it went pretty well; I just meed to make the braid a little tighter next time. I think a trick to doing this well, even for a first try, is just to know how to braid.

Shayla Sampson: I have a hard time learning stuff like this and you explained it so well and finally made it make sense to me omg

A. Neufeld: For anyone who gets tired arms while braiding: stop braiding (but keep holding on to your sections so they don't unravel or tangle) and rest your elbows on the sink or wherever you're trying to braid. That's what I do, anyways. After awhile you get fast enough that you usually don't need to do this.

ashlyn bolen: i was gonna try this with a positive attitude until all the comments said they were crying but i’ll let y’all know how it goes

Mia P: Thank you! I’ve found this to be one of the easiest braid tutorials on YouTube.

Ooman Boar 83: Wow. I always wondered how this was done. I’m now going to have to have a go at this on my other half. Thank You

adora vee: Thank you. I'm 31 and grew up with no sisters. Always wanted to learn this and you helped simplify it so much for me.

breakfast potato: Whenever I try to do stuff with my hair, I just end up annoyed and crying Edit: thanks for all the likes!

Tanya Leavitt: What a great tutorial. Thank you so much.

Laurel Lee: Thank you. With adhd I struggle when people do things behind their head or don't explain exactly what their hands are doing. Watching people braid or use curling irons without this explanation doesn't help me at all. This was great

Our Delly Adventures: Thank you so much!! I love this tutorial I’m getting better and better!

christie lanzilotti: You guys, I just watched this video, but faced my laptop into my mirror, so you can actually follow along exactly as she does. It works! Only took me 30 years to learn LOL

Merichka R: I watched so many videos on French braiding and it always seemed so complicated until I stumbled upon your video, thank you so much for explaining it so clearly, it literally to one try to do my daughters hair ay men!
