Hi guys thank y'all so much for joining me. Today'S video I'm going to be talking about length retention, so this is for all of you, ladies, if you guys want to know how to retain length Bayside the type of things that I do to my hair, all the time to retain length so tip number one And length retention for me, I have to say, is moisture seriously once your eyes and when I see it once dries, don't just be like ok. So I get it luck. Method! Luck, missing, yeah, LACMA! That is great! It'S it's perfect, but what are you using in your luck method? What products are you use it in your luck method? Every hair texture have different products that work better for you here right, so you can't just be like. Ok, I'm gon na use liquid and then I grab all their volume and I'm just gon na crack this cream and I get that slope method right. I'M gon na put it on top of my head, and this is supposed to help me moisturize my hair wrong. Ok, figure out which products work best for your hair type. The second tip in moisturization is introducing one product. At a time. You have a product that works for you, so you're like ok, so this product is really nice. I love this product. It works wonders of my hair. Oh my try, this product, this product also works really well on my hair. Why don't I just mix them together and you'll be like heaven. It would be like match made in heaven right. No, ok, sometimes one product does not work. Well with the other product - and I experience is where I mix my favorite products together and all of the sudden, my hair's crunchy is dry and I don't know why, like what's going on, I'm moisturizing my hair, I'm doing the same thing, but for some reason it's Not working that's what this product was great. Why isn't it working it's because I mix new with a product that doesn't work well with so introduce one product at a time and pay attention to how well it works for your hair by itself and then how well it works with other products that you already Have and love okay guys, so once you figure out how you can moisturize your hair properly, then let's focus on the second tip detangling. Oh my gosh, the tank bling. Okay, the thicker, the key here the course of your hair is the longer you should be spending detangling, your hair, okay, be patient, that's the first step in detangling. The second tip is use the right tool for your hair type. Okay, just because have a a thicker hair texture does not mean that your hand should be coming out dramatically Pony detangling. Your hair should not be done with that. Okay, so spend time finding the right tool for your hair. The third tip into tangling is over detangling detangling, don't over detangle, oh, I know it's excited sometimes to see the Crown's use that then I'm brush, but don't do it don't over brush. First of all, it will take you way too long to do here. Second of all is going to lead to a higher chance of getting breakage. Okay, you could be ripping your hair out because you want to have the comb light through your hair. To me, this leads to actually the the next tip in detangling. Your hair. Try to do more finger, detangling, okay, figure detangling - would make you gain more length like crazy. I'M telling finger detangling will help you gain length. Finger detangle will help. You can have thicker here, whatever the tingling to you're, using if you have in like take balls of hair after you detangle your hair, it's not the right type of comb for your hair type. Okay, you need to switch it up, we'll do something different third tip low manipulation. There is no manipulation. I feel like a lot of naturals out there. If you have really short, hair and you're wondering what am I doing wrong, you know, and you do so. Many stops to hear like cornrows, you get your hair braided, often say twist extensions British tension. You go somewhere else to get it done. Oh you're, doing a lot of cornrows flat twists and all that phases stuff on your hair. That could be the reason why you're here, it's not retaining look. If I do a spout to my hair, it's the style. That'S not gon na require me to have too many pardon and too many brushing and manipulation, because you're ripping through here breaking it to to get a style right to get a style that you want. So it's an even tape. Do you want to just happy here? Be maybe not the length that you want to sorta can have like extravagant here up Dusen and styles. All do you want to gain length whenever you're experiencing dryness right? So let's say your hair is just like super dry. It doesn't matter what you do is just dry. It'S getting drier every day right. What you should not do is manipulate with it, put it away and try to figure out why? What are you doing wrong and, in the meantime, watch trying to figure it out? What'S going on moisturize moisturize moisturize on to your hair, get to the point where it's healthy in and it's capable of retaining moisture. This tip number five is protecting your hair. Why you see it's so important to use something on a satin or silk, so you want to use something that is tsuki or something that has a satin feel well, this is a satin scarf, a silk scarf or side note of silk case so always make sure That you're protecting your hair, while you sleep tip number six. I do this all the time, guys all the time this tip. Whenever you feel that you're bored with you say you like, not your hair sucks. I wish I can relax my hair again. I'M gon na flat on my hair. I want to blow dry my hair, you know. Maybe I should dye my hair right. You have all these things going through here. You'Re frustrated, you're, tired of doing here every night. This way, I'll put my hand twist or I'll put my hand, braids, and I will just style it like that I'll leave it alone, I'll, put like little cute, hair accessories and I'll leave it alone or our tour units on top great. How do you meet on top? That'S what I do you know, and that prevents me from messing with my hair, because in the past, when I was born with my hair, I want Flatiron and now a flower on pretty good. You know, then that has cost me couple heat damages there, I'm passionate about natural hair. This is why I opened my channel because people around me don't care about this. Okay, I start talking, but not your ideal. I hold on here. She goes again so to be able to have the freedom to talk to you guys about natural hair. You actually give a damn it's just so rewarding. Okay, it's rewarding tip number eight avoid Hair Salons. Oh, nobody will care about your hair more than you so stay out of hair salons as much as possible. Guys number nine number nine tip is avoid leaving your hair in the same style too too long. I mentioned a little bit about when you're bored with your hair, just put your hand braids and twist and leave it when I say leave it, I mean you have it in the braids and twist right, but your moisturizer it at night and your styling, your hair. In that right, but don't go for like three weeks straight of not taking it out in and Brittany back up, don't go for six weeks straight three months straight of not taking your hair out of it, whatever style it is in and braiding it back up. So choose protective style that does not rip your hair, okay, protective style. It is tucking it into it. That'S right! It is talking your ends away, but to me, leave my hair down honest type of protective styling because it works so well. For me, i braid that night and take it out in the morning and I leave it out and then I do it over again and it has helped me routine length. You know it has helped me retaining lint, so choosing protective styling. That is a style to me that does not break your hair, that's particular style. Okay, protective styling to me is a style that you do. That does not break your hair, pay attention to your protective styling choices. If you realize that you're losing more hair after take out a protective styling right and you're, not gaining any length or thickness, say you're gaining length, but your hair is thinning, then it's not really being protective, it's just being in a style that is now helping your Hair grow. Okay, so pay attention to your style of Troy. I'Ve gone through different things that would have really destroyed my hair, but following the tips that I've said, I have been able to grow. My hair and routine, like everything I talked about, is real. Okay. These are things that I do to my hair each and every day these. I think that I practice I have been practicing for five years and seven months of be natural, so these are tips that I know works subscribe, guys subscribe like and comment and share the video and I'll see you next one by

fruitypebs23: Girrrlll, that hair. That skin. That bone structure !!!

Jacqueline S: Hi Beautiful! You inspire me! I've been Natural for about 3 years Had several setbacks...including Breast Cancer. Now I'm Cancer FREE and back to taking care of myself and Hair Naturally. Thanks for those tips to retain my length. NOTED!!

Adaeze Osonkie: Hair salons pressing the dislike button

Lisa Osborne: My notes: Kinda got a bit lost lol but I thought I'd still share... 1. Moisturise: do not mix products, use 1 at a time 2. Detangling: take your time, use the right tools (use your fingers), take your time, don't over detangle 3. Low manipulation 4. 5. Use satin or silky to protect your hair 6. Use twists to style hair when you're bored 7. 8. Avoud hair salons 9. Avoid leaving hair in the same style for too long unless its number 6

Optimistic Brenda: Girl I feel you !!!! I’m sooo passionate about natural hair and my entourage is sooo not into it. This is why I love YouTube, it really gave me that platform

Cherah Lindo: Omg girl, you have the *_exact_* hair type as me This is so inspiring. Thank you for that tip about one product at a time. I’ve noticed my hair does better with *less* products than *more* . I really don’t need a leave-in, curling custard, or gel, or mouse or whatever aside from olive oil or castor oil and my homemade whipped shea butter (or just plain raw shea butter). My hair is very particular for some reason and does *not* like a lot of products or manipulation. I absolutely have to braid or twist my hair up at night with my whipped shea butter or my hair will get *hella* dry. Thank You Gurl !!! ❤️❤️❤️

55555 55555: She has very gorgeous hair! When a black woman embraces her natural beauty she always looks like a goddess, give me some of that!

TheLifeofAngelaBree: Keep doing what you do girl!!! Black hair does matter!!!

Diane Auger: I had a dream ! I had a dream! To have this kind of wonderful hair. And i hope this dream will come true.

MyNaturalMyChoice: Gorgeous hair and excellent tips!

Rebelle Yun: Best tip on this video, “avoid hair salons”. Ever since I’ve been taking care of my hair it’s been flourishing. I don’t even let friends and fam touch my hair lol

StylishGalNheelZ LoLa: This is an awesome video. This natural journey has been a struggle with me:-( I inadvertently big-chopped by going to the hair dresser for a trim and she chopped off over half of my length so Im back at at a TWA. Im a little discouraged (throughout my journey) because I have only had collarbone/shoulder length hair but maybe I will be able to grow it past shoulder length with educating myself on the health of my hair and length retention . Im 4C, low porosity, I guess medium density. You give me hope. Your hair is beautiful!!!!

Graceful Knots: These tips are so true. I managed to grow my hair to a small length last year which I was quite pleased with. I braided it once last year in October for 5 weeks and it completely fell out. I have started all over again and am definitely not braiding it anymore for a few years

Virginie Montoban: Hi! I am so impressed by the length of your hair... I'm thinking about going natural but I'm scared since my hair is very coarse and I am used to my long relaxed hair (mid-back length). Was your hair previously relaxed? If yes, did you transition for a long time? How long did it take for you to grow your hair so long? Can you make a video on your natural hair journey? Many thanks in advance, you are a great inspiration

Tiffany Lawson: So glad I stumbled upon this channel. New sub! I've been natural about three years and although my hair grew pretty long it was thin and constantly breaking. I was doing ALL the things you just said NOT to do. Like, ALL OF THEM. My edges started thinning and I looked like I had a mohawk. So just did my second big chop and I'm starting over. These tips will definitely help me start my journey to healthy natural hair. Thanks! Looking forward to watching more videos.

M. Armstrong: Glad to hear that you too feel like your hair being out and twisting at night is you're protective style. It seemed like no one understood this method. This does work. It's my staple too. ❤

manuela coleridge: I have done braids for years and after taking out the braids after every two months my hair loss was so great that i saw no hair growth. I thank you for highlighting that one has to choose the protective style that works for your hair. I have now decided that i will protect my hair with wash and go's. I wash my hair once a week and do the pineapple at night. Every week when i wash my hair their is hardly any shedding compared to when i took the braids out... there use to be so much shedding that it filled both my hands. Thanks for your advice!!

Eve Williams: Thank you for your tips. I follow a lot of these myself and now I have longer hair around the back and sides. Your hair looks so lovely. Unfortunately I lost a lot of hair on top due to chemo drugs but I love seeing the different natural curls I have and learning how to take care of my hair. I discovered that combing my hair while it's dry caused breakage - now I moisturize and have enough hair to cover over the top of my head and hide my hair loss. I'm glad now I don't have to wear wigs all the time!

Natasha O: I'm about to cut all my hair off and start over. I'm in my early 20s and have only now started to appreciate my natural hair. I had it out this past year and I never felt more like myself but it's never healed from all the chemicals and heat. It's going to take me years to grow it back (it's never been past shoulder length) but I don't care. Wish me luck!

Oumië: Thank you for making this videos I have truly learned allot about my hair type . How to take care of it and how to help it grow . I wish people that was taking care of my hair when I was a kid would have been more careful with my hair . I'm determined to bring it back . I'm struggling with the thought of wearing my natural hair though I think it's because I have always had some kind of extension in my hair as far back on my child hood ad I can remember . Any tips on how to make your hair thicker? Thank you in advance for this channel.

Amos Kenga: Summary: naturally moisturize your hair and let it be, with little or no interference.

Stephanie Sargent: I love that you got straight to it from the beginning. Drew me in. You're beautiful sis!

Realest Jazmine: finger detangling = less or no breakages!

Batgirl P: Glad that you wear your hair out instead of hiding it all the time. It's lovely.

Miss C: #8- Stay out of hair salons! Yes, I completely agree! I have learned the hard way. Your tips are so helpful and you have such beautiful strands!

angie k: I've been trying a moisture routine that consists of deep conditioning with little heat. Then braiding my hair into 8 braids, and moisturizing with: rose water, aloe vera gel, oils and Shea butter. Idk what "type" really fits my hair, and the porosity tests I've done are inconclusive. I just wanted to know if this general method is okay.

Minka Gaston: I love to see fellow 4cs who know how to handle our gorgeous locs! I'm still learning so it's very inspiring! I'm so glad I stumbled across your channel. I'm definitely subscribing. And your hair (and you as a whole) is so beautiful ♡♡

efhawkins19: Wow. I 've seen a lot of videos on length retention, and this video gives specifics. Recently, I started using a powder in my hair and I need to redo (loc) it ev 5 days. I was not doing that before and I have gained a good inch of growth by doing this within 30 days. I would love to see your wash and moisturizing routine. I know now I am on the right track. I got to keep trying until I find something that works. I just subscribed. You hair is geogeous and I appreciate your realness.

KLo GroFlo: Oh I feel sooooo much better! I've been without a hairdresser for 5 years bcuz of moving to a new state, but I just don't trust anybody. Whenever I go back home I go to my old hairdresser, but I've just been doing my hair myself. Glad I'm not alone in my feelings, although I do like to sit in a salon to get pampered every once in a while . But my hair is thriving and I really enjoy watching channels like yours for tips on routines for our type of texture. Keep up the good work! I subscribed today

Za za Williams: Thank you for this video. I'm confused by some of your advice though. I'm hearing your overall theme of do what works for you throughout your video and comments, but I personally found some of your tips contradicting. Specifically, if I'm stretching my hair each day by braiding or twisting it, is that not over manipulating It? Detangling should happen consistently, but not over detangling. Can you give an example or video of what sufficient vs over detangling is? Also, how do you put your hair away, but also figure out what's wrong with it? Personally, if my hair is in a fro it's going to shrink and matte whether I've twisted the night before or not. Not trying to nitpick, just in need of clarification. Would love your feedback, thanks. ❤

underemployed.: Excellent insight! I'm amazed at how full and voluminous your hair is at this length! Thanks for the tips

Lavinia Lahrese: Excellent video with new information about retaining natural hair length!! Thank you so much for posting this! I'm definitely a new subscriber =D

Tea Marshae: Finally found someone with courser hair to learn from

S D: Hello! I've been natural, all my life. I must say that it brings me joy to see ladies embrace their natural hair! I love all of your tips to retaining length. although I have been natural for so long? I am still learning how to maintain healthy natural hair. I have a few questions. my first question is, could washing hair do more damage than good? and if so, how?

UniquelyJames: i LOVE the fact you said to finger detangle. i TRULY believe this helped me to re-thicken my hair.

Judy Toussaint: Love your hair and love this video! Very informative. But I saw from the first pic that you grew your hair out from a short length. Could you give a tutorial or tips on how you grew out your hair from the shorter length, how you took care of it, your challenges, transition etc? Would be great.

Aquarelle 1978: Good advice - it would be helpful to share your usual protective styles. I also avoid hair salons

Yoginizing Supporting Your Healing Journey: I absolutely love this video especially the part about getting board with styles and doing styles that are risking breakage for me it was crochet braids really jeapardised my growth. Now I just pull it into a very loose pony tail accesorize with headwraps or crystals.

Michelle Kennedy: Just found your channel new sub . I’m loving it . Keep making videos . I love hearing about natural hair and there is never too much information . Everyone’s experience with their hair is different and it’s important to appreciate everyone .

Bbw125: 1st HONEST PERSON about protecting styles!!!!!! My hair got SOOOOOOO very thin and it comes out with my hands by touching it. I would keep my braids and crochet in for about 2 months sometimes 3 months and when I take them down, I see more hair in the sink than on my head. It has gotten so thin and the areas that had some length before you can barely catch to braid. I am now, for the first time wearing a wig, daily, so that I can treat my hair more often. Until I saw your video, it didn't dawn on me that I was still causing damage because I still continue to have corn raids under the wig and I noticed that my hair gets very dry fast although I use thick oils between the braids and sometimes spray it with leave in conditioner. So, THANK YOU!!!! I will now try going without the braids for a while so that I my hair would be free and clear for any treatment I need to do. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!!!!!! Happy Easter!!!

Paris Mon amour: Thank you for going straight to the point.

marie c: So true about the hair salon. I find that they’re pretty rough with my natural hair.

Kryssi Love: This video has came in my mentions at the perfect time. My hair is the longest its ever been but it seems as if my ends are knotting more than usual. I keep my hair in a protective style and take it out every two weeks.. I wash my hair as needed, trim every 6 months. Idk whats going on unless I'm over thinking it. I add some type of water to my hair everyday. One youtuber suggested to straighten my ends with a flat iron. I've been natural since '09 I'm stuck.

Ani Pancake: Amen to no hair salons! My major setbacks were caused by salons.

Debbie Lockley: I think it's all a matter of preference. I love braids and cornrows on my hair. it keeps me from messing with it. and of course with my busy lifestyle, i just dont have the time to constantly tend to my hair. I can just get up and go.. I'll leave them in for 2-3weeks with no issues. and it does a great job of retaining the length of my hair. some people can't have braids in for a while... some people love meszing with thier hair.. everyone is different.. some people like wigs and so on... there's no set rule for retaining length. it's just a matter of learning what works best for your hair

Sephora KC: Once I decided to go natural after heat damage..I Realized that I got 3C, 4A, and 4B hair after one year. It’s awesome but definitely annoying...it’s picky like me lol but still working on it and learning. ❤️ You’re beautiful by the way. God bless you

Hairlo haircare by Nelo: Thanks for sharing this. I'm also growing my hair and it 3 years now. I try to talk to people about their natural hair too. I just love healthy hair like yours.

Dahalia Gottshalk: Now this is what you call INCHES!

Auntie Awakens U: I've been doing lots of braids and wigs throughout the years. I always have kept my natural hair short. I have thinning and tension alopecia at the top. I make all of my products. I don't shop at the beauty supply except for my gel and cream. Soon I will be making my own. We have the power to put these beauty supplies out of business. Now I am really nuturing my hair with ayurvedic care, and applying your advice. The results are really good so far. I will do a video. Thanks for the inspiration!!

Event Planner: 8) "Avoid hair salons" say it for the people in the back.

Erin Denise: Thanks for this! Great tips! Question, does your hair sit like that on its own or is it stretched? I'm in love

Barbs C: Preach girl. That's why I am my own hair stylist work for me for free, and as she said no one will take better care of our hair than ourself!

Itz Aaliyah: Just FINALLY CUT MY HAIR to like an inch I’m genuinely happier like that hair that got off my head made me feel like a weight was lifted off of me , kinda weird . I’ll miss my longer hair but I feel way better with it short !!

Gemima Ntambwe: man if i had THIS HAIR AND THIS SKIN i wouldnt know how to act .

Casswash Wash: It’s okay to flat iron your hair, you just need to do it correctly. Throughly derange then blow dry go threw with the bow dryer again but in the cool setting to close the cuticles and then flat iron, you’ll only need one to two passes a

Anne Marie Chase: Wow, I'm in the process of going from relaxing to letting my hair going to natural. I have trimmed the ends of my hair, I will moisturise my hair, your hair is so nice!!!!!! Blessings!!!

Tasha G: Great tips! However, it’s nothing wrong going to a salon. You just need to find the right licensed hair stylist, that’s going to take care of your hair. They are out there. I know because I’m one of them. I take care of my clients so they come back!

Adorah Taylor: This is so true I feel like I could've been at tailbone length if I kept up with everything that I knew I needed but we all learn what is good and bad for us. For me switching up my products was a veryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy bad habit and I have been scissor happy since cosmetology school but I'm glad I know how to fix my issues lol. But I've stopped now

Jocelyn Mo’Nique: Love you’re tips! Do you have any recommendations on how to stop your hair shedding? I only finger detangle in the shower but I still receive a lot of shedding.

Elisheba Mitchell: Thank you. Great tips. You DEFINITELY know what your talking about.

Cherrybaby Walker: Thanks for your reply. That's what I have been thinking. I only do banto knots on freshly washed hair, undo them when i go out the re-twist them after moisturizing. Still trying to find a solution. Any your hair looks great just go to show that we can grow our hair beyond others expectation. Looking forward to more videos. Thanks.

Thato T. Phiri: Literally your rice water video started me on my natural hair love affair. I've now subscribed and I'm inspired to document my journey. Thank you

Terry-Ann Francis: So true about the salons. Everytime I go to a salon my hair gets damaged even more. So I’ve officially stopped going to them. Thanks for the really good advice.

Christina Sears: Gorgeous hair! I'm just learning the hard way about mixing my fav 2 products too.

maria thomas: The way you explain is super amazing!

Aishah Hamid: Pleaseeee... I'm trying to grow my hair! It's 5 inches now. How long did it take to grow your hair? And what's the best and most effective way to grow my hair fast?

siStar angel: Thank you for the reminder. Beautifully presented.

Michelle Watkins: Your hair is gorgeous, and so are you! Thanks for sharing!!!

Catina Hawkins: You have done an awesome job! !!

QueenBee1118: I would love to see videos on how you typically care for your hair. How do you cleanse your hair and how often? How do you moisturizer and seal post wash? How do you style and care for your hair between cleansing sessions? I'm a new subbie. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your videos.

Vibrant. A: This is one of the best if not the best retention videos I have seen. To the point and helpful. Thank yoy

Narjejo: I am sooo guilty of getting bored with my hair and wanting to just do stuff to it I’m getting better though. I have them in large cornrows, giving this wig life a try and even though it’s a strrruggle with my hairline lol. Doing it for the growth though, doing it for the growth

According 2 Garfield: I care about my hair way more than my friends do and I'm glad you said that. Also the most length damage was from my hairdresser lol do you know anyone who has had a weave for a year? Mine is ten months. It's in a protective style. I'm on a long hair journey. I have made my mistakes. I like your video. Love your hair

aliah: i love the fact that you got straight to the point OMG !! love u

LovenLife 618: Stunning thick and long hair!! glad I found your channel! New subby!

Nah: Gorgeous! Thanks for the tips. New subster!

Pamm Meee: Uh oh! I've been washing and conditioning my hair in these same cornrows for 5 weeks now. My plan was to wait 10 more days before taking them out and seeing if I had achieved more thickness and length.

A A: hair is a natural extension of your soul. it's the buildup of skills and emotion. The more spiritual you are the more your hair grows. Cut your hair to start fresh and clean but dont cut too often. Building hair is emotional bodybuilding. The asian/japanese people have made this their culture.

Bea T: 1. Moisturise with products that work for you. 2. Take time to detangle your hair. Find the right tool and don't over detangle. (Finger detangling helps) 3. Low manipulation means you don't need to do much to it to get into a style. (protective style is a style that does not break your hair). 4. Protect hair while you sleep. 5. When your bored with your hair, keep it away. 6. Avoid hair salons. 7. Avoid leaving your hair in the same style for too long. That's what I got :-)

doThatGWalk: You are so right about mixing products! I actually tried SO Many products this summer & fall but I'm staring to see a decline in the health of my hair. I'm going to stick to the same products for a month from now on. Also product ingredients is VERY important! I don't know any natural or long haired person that got their hair to their hips or butts w/ out using more natural products or DIYs so I'm done w/ sulfates/silicones & cheap drugstore products. My hair has gotten increasingly drier by using non natural stuff & I knew I had to stop but it's sooner than later. I also need to get waay better at detangling.

Johannes Lauer: Thank you, your videos are great and helping me a lot! This hair ist the most beautiful hair I have ever seen! Thank God :-)

La Tanya Williams: If it wasn't for my stylist I would have done a second big chop because I thought my hair was damaged. Not all stylists are bad, I think It is important to find a stylist that cares for natural hair. While you might not need to visit the salon regularly sometimes you may need professional advice on things you may not understand about the hair. Just my opinion.

Jojo's World: I literally find it disappointing that people around you don't care about natural hair health. Do they not see how healthy and long your hair is? Do they not care about how short or damaged their hair is (if it is)? Gurl, they need to listen to you if they're tired of their hair being stuck in the same situation. I would listen to you everyday all day because I know I need help, so why not admit it and gain knowledge?

Jocyleen Cox: i love your videos and the advice that u give. thank u for educating me on hair care.

Deslyn Fortune: Hello, i love your tips and advise that you are giving us on our natural hair journey. Please advise me on what I'm doing and not doing to have hair growth and retention. I'm natural for over 15 years and my hair is the same length, ived tried so many things and I actually give up because I don't know what I'm doing wrong. My hair weighs down easily with the oil and leave in cream. What ever products i used it doesn't gives me the satisfaction, my has is 3c around and the middle is 4 something. Frustrated!

Merit Bottse: How do you tuck all that gorgeous luscious hair under a wig? My hair isn’t anywhere near your length and I am having trouble with hiding my hair under wigs without having bulks and lumps. PS your hair is EVERYTHING!! I am so happy to see a long haired 4c type of woman! Hoping to learn a lot from your channel! I have been stuck at bra strap length for years and I am frustrated and tired.

Sade: I really need your help. I’m looking for a natural hairstyle I can do but still look good and can wear for work and school, but also moisture my hair . All the hairstyles I see are for people who have thicker longer hair than I do. Do you have any suggestions for what I can do? Or are wigs my best solution?

Ms88keys1: Nice video, I'm starting an 8 month, 8 inch hair growth challenge, my goal, to do everything right and healthy for 8 months then check my length and see if I got my 8 inches. My nape is a little past collarbone length my goal is for my crown to reach mid back. Right now my crown touches my shoulders. You are correct in finding the product your hair likes. I have found my staple hot oils, detangler, poo, DC, and leave in concoction for my protein sensitive, low porosity 4c hair (I'm no longer a product junkie) also the right nighttime moisturizing/tie up routine (On days I want to look extra cute I Bantu the night before, on regular days I want to look cute i twist/wrap/stretch, on days I plan to stay home and chill I keep it twisted/stretch/wrapped and tied and put on a cute sun hat, newsboy, ball cap or fedora if I need to run to the store. Here's the kicker though, I plan to massage my scalp inverted every single day for ten minutes before bed. My curl definition is insane, I have a curl pattern I never knew existed and I love my hair. Great video.

Shorty Mac: I love you Chanel Queen do you have any advice for a trim schedule? Often when detangling the ends get broke or pulled off at the single strand knot. I was thinking I should do a all over trim but not trim a cm just a tiny bit off each strand. Will this help? Also I use oil conditioner and Shea butter but my hair appears dry still. I do the Loc and the lco on repeat daily. My aunt says I need some grease. Do you use grease? Is there any grease that is 100%natural for 4z hair. My hair is thirsty! Since I’ve been natural I haven’t used grease because I haven’t seen anyone natural using it regularly. Plus there is chemicals in the supposedly 100% lanolin by Dax I used to swear by☹️

Adam's Apple: My mum is a hairdresser who works from home or goes to peoples houses and 3 of her customers who she took care of their hair and gave them advise on their hair have waist length, thick, strong, healthy hair and when one if them stopped with the whole drinking 2L a day and whole healthy diet their hair went back to square 1 and started breaking.

Earnie Dickerson: I found you a few days ago and I am so happy I did because, I am also passion about natural hair but it is taking me a while to learn what my hair need. I am finally finding the ones, I want to follow with hair like mine. I started my journey June 2, 2014 it was getting thinner now I am using green tea treatment which seem to help. I am in my late 60s plus lots of health problems which calls for medicines. I have not used any heat since I started my natural journey and don't have any desire to do so. My hair seem to grow slow. Since I found you I like your tips so thank you young lady.

Kasumichick2772: How about trimming? How often you trim? Plus I never like to leave my hair while not braiding or twisting it cause it starts to shrink and get dry too fast even when I moisturize. So what should I do?

Ebony Ohen: New to your channel! Loved this video, very insightful and your accent is so beautiful sis!! I'm a short haired 4c natural and this inspired me to save my money with all these hairstyles and fully embrace my natural hair journey!!
